Just finished my meal from Good Food. Amazing fresh delicious thank you!

Really hit or miss for me , I ordered delivery of black bean sauce with beef a few weeks ago and it was amazing the beef was tender , the sauce tasted amazing and it came hot!! But I went into the store at around 5 ish o clock and ordered the same thing , the food was really bland the vegetables looked grey and the beef was incredibly chewy and hard to eat , I dont know if their quality is dependent on the day but Im really disappointed because I thought it would be the same as when I got it delivered to me

Tried this Chinese after being disappointed with other Chinese takeaways and this by far the best Chinese near laindon

I don’t normally eat chicken balls but I ate one from good food and omg they were amazing!

This is not what it used to be, the food is tasteless with one taste for all the food you can taste. Within a year you will be out of business with your quality on offer. People have to work hard for their money and will soon wise up. Change or fade away.

Ordered a sharing platter, when it arrived it looked like it had been dropped and scooped back in the box or the leftovers had been scraped into a pizza box. Not only did it look appalling it had no flavour, was all over cooked and dry and totally unenjoyable. I contacted the takeaway to tell them how disappointed I was and included a photo of the mess that arrived. They told me that photos on the menu were for illustration only and food can get mixed around on delivery. No apology at all. This is the second time I have ordered from them. They have a good selection of veggie options but they delivered a variety of veggie and meat options not 1 box had any labelling to show what was what amd its very hard to separate was in meat in sauce as a posed to what is a substitute to look like meat in sauce. I telephoned to ask them and there response was if you want it labelled you have to ask. With this customer service make your own mind up if there a better place to spend your money. I know where mine will be going from now on.

This has been our take away of choice for years. But the last few times the food has been way too salty. Not sure we will go back

There's a huge menu so plenty of variety that should please everyone and the set meals were very good in price and had a good mix of things. I ordered from inside the store and waited about 10 minutes for the food. The staff inside were extremely lovely and were very conversational whilst waiting. From my experience it's definitely one of the better Chinese takeaway's in the area.

Ordered via mela map. Order confirmation said delivery at 5.45pm, then received an update saying 6.50pm. I called the restaurant at 6.15pm and turns out it was ready, so i collected it to save time. The delay in the meal being ready wasn’t an issue in the grand scheme of things. The food was not fresh - so cucumber with crispy aromatic duck was slimy…..but even worse the duck was dry. The sesame prawn toast was burnt and had little flavour. Chicken balls over cooked. Strangely the meat dishes contained less cashews and beanshoots but was packed with meat?!?! £70 wasted on awful food. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Fantastic. I have previously had a takeaway from a different company served up by Deliveroo. It was awful, cold, wrong food and missing parts. I was reluctant to order again over the internet/phone. I limited the risk by telephoning this company direct. It took a while to get through, but they took the order, said it would be around 45 minutes, it arrived in 20. The food was perfect.. 100% it was hot... top marks 100% the changes i wanted to the food were made, 100% delivery was super quick and polite driver 100% they have won me over and i will book direct with them again. even if it is hard to get through on the telephone. well done on all fronts. and thank you

Popped in the shop to get a chow mein, rice, chips and chicken satay. The chicken satay was perfect and freshly cooked, I will be going back again.

Don’t normally leave reviews and to be fair never have a problem with good food Laindon , but tonight food was cold , had to reheat in microwave. Not happy after doing 12 hr shift just wanted a hot dinner . Good food you have let me down tonight

I don't normally bother to do reviews but felt compelled on this occasion. My Chinese meal last night was amazing! Roast pork foo yung was generously meaty, chicken chow mein was bursting with flavour and chicken balls were crispy. It all arrived quickly and still hot. Whoever your chefs are, keep them and I will always be a customer!

Tried for the first time and this chinese will be the only one i will order in the future. Best chinese,best chicken balls. Highly recomended

Nice grub, not hanging around for ages either to get your food

Last night I had the most amazing pork chow main I have ever had. Food always good from here 👍

No matter what time we call Good Food. The service is always amazing and the food is top class. The chefs and their team deserve an award.

We had a takeaway Sunday night 24/05/20 had two pancake rolls for starters then mains chilli beef and roast pork with mushrooms also large chicken chow mein .All food was superb plenty of it we won't order as much next time it was great highly recommended.

Tried this takeaway for the first time Saturday after a friends recommendation. The food was delivered super quick and hot. All what we had was lovely. Will defo be ordering from there again.

Have used this place previously and the food is nothing special, but decided to try again and give them another chance. Phoned at 1030 and no answer tried several times no answer the back door is still open but front door is locked 30 minutes before their advertised opening hours will not be giving them anymore of my business when there are other Chinese takeaways with much better food and service who actually stay open till their advertised hours. The shame is it used to be really good but has gone downhill rapidly. The only reason I gave 1 star was because there wasn’t an option to give zero stars.

I tell ya what! I have been living in Melbourne, Australia for almost 5 years now and have been searching for a takeaway like this... Cannot seem to find it. I have been to many Chinese restaurants in many China towns and sampled them all. However, none yet has held a candle to the flame, which is good food. The chicken balls are exceptional, the curry sauce unrivalled. Every fine dining experience I've had around the cities in the world has paled in comparison to the cuisine at good food. I say this without any irony or ill intent, simply the fact is that good food remains the best Chinese I have Ever had. Good food - do not change anything you have been doing. My once yearly return to the UK is brightened by knowing that I will enjoy ordering from you again. Yours faithfully, Simonne

Can’t rate the food as I could not place an order. I visited at 1040 pm only to find it closed even though they advertise to be open until 1100 pm. This is not the first time this has happened. If you are advertising you are open till 1100 pm stay open till 1100pm. Or change your advertised opening times so people are not misled

7/10 the food is actually nice and when it’s nice it’s really nice but when it’s bad you can taste that difference I’ve Chinese all over England and I will say this is up there with the best I’ve had but it just needs to always produce the good I know it can

One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. Generous portions and extremely tasty. My go to meal is: crispy seaweed, veg spring rolls, chicken chow mien, egg fried rice and prawn crackers with some satay sauce. There’s always enough to last me 2 sometimes 3 meals and is just as good reheated the next day. Recommended highly.

Used this for 3 years now great food great service

The menu is pretty standard for a Chinese takeaway, the prices are not too steep, but the delivery time is quite lengthy, and parking to pick up your order is a nightmare. The food is quite average, but I've never had a issue with anything, which is always a bonus. The vegetarian selection isn't very varied, and they don't offer any Quorn products, which would be nice to see. The staff are quite friendly, and the premises look clean and tidy. All in all not a bad place for a decent Chinese if you're in the area.

Been coming here for years as it's my local-ish Chinese. The food is always delicious with very generous portions. It tastes really good and isn't very greasy. Compared to other take out Chinese places in the area I'd rate this the best one. The staff aren't always the chattiest but they get the orders right.

Ordered 2 King Prawn chow meins and a few other dishes. Food would have been ok if too much soya sauce was not added. Bit annoyed they charge an extra 50p for debit cards

Food is hot and freshly prepared. Staff were efficient. Special fried rice and Honk Kong Style sweet and sour pork was quite salty, which is unusual for this takeaway.

Usamos este llevar mucho. Recomendaría llamando y recoger, ya que la comida se caliente y fresco. Listas en unos 10 minutos! Tostadas de gambas sesame es agradable, así como kung po pollo. El arroz frito especial es bueno y generoso, lleno de langostinos, pollo y cerdo poco. A un precio razonable.

Highly recommend, never had a bad meal from here we order at least twice a month. Staff are always very polite.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food always good. I have never had bad service. When I order special fried rice I ask for no prawns and no peppers and add mushrooms and I always get what I want no fuss. so my review is ten out of ten keep on serving we love it

We have used this takeaway on numerous occasions and always enjoyed their food and found it to be value.Limited experience of delivery to our venue as we found it slow so we prefer to go to the shop to order and wait and is it much quicker.

Okay food but don't even bother calling ahead, they say 15 mins then don't even start cooking till you get there. 45 minutes later....

Came promptly and was all hot. Good sizes portions and we got free prawn crackers. Polite young man delivered it.

This is always busy, the staff are friendly and helpful, the kitchen door is open so you can see the workers cook your food. Brilliantly nicely priced as well, a lovely treat

I too would be skeptical of anon feedback. Have been using them for quite some time and have always found them to be really polite and helpful, including the delivery drivers, and the food is absolutely fine. If it wasn't i wouldn't keep going back! No greasiness and plenty of meat in chow mein etc unlike others i have used! Definitely don't skimp on that. Nice food, pleasant staff, quick delivery! No problems

Ordered crispy beef and kung po chicken. Sauce on both was exactly the same. Very sweet and watery. Spare ribs just fat. Beef and mushroom. . . Beef chewy and mushroom dry. . Won't be going back. . Called to complain. . They hung up on me twice. .

Have been using this takeaway for the last 3 years and won't go anywhere else for a quality Chinese now! The food is amazing, never had a bad meal and the staff are very helpful. They are always busy but still happy to help with a smile when taking your order. The duck in black bean is by far the best I've ever had and the garlic rice is to die for. Can be pricey when placing a large Oder but so worth every penny.

Be sceptical of anonymous haters. The food is pleasant enough - not exceptional, pretty standard high street takeaway Chinese. A tiny bit expensive, but I order every week or two, and they are always polite, and usually quicker than the stated 45 minute delivery time. My usual order includes chicken and it definitely is NOT 60% water. It is very enjoyable.

Takeaway changed hands recently and it is an improvement over what was a good takeaway anyway. It has a good cleanliness grade from the council (and quite rigthly clearly advertises this).The spare ribs and crispy fried duck are great and they do large portions of rice too for 1.5 x the small price which helps on the budget. Very fast service and the staff are pleasant and helpful.Very useful for commuters on the way home.

I ordered from here the food was very nice also cheap and the delivery is quick also will be ordering from here again :) !!
