Very quick service and mouth watering food... I loved the essence, taste and garnishing of their cuisines. Staffs are really very amiable, I am highly recommending to order food from them.

Order was placed at 7.19pm-with an expected delivery time frame of 8.20-8.40pm. The status of the order wasn’t changing at all,so we were concerned and called the store on 2 separate occasions who promised the order was being prepared and would be with us by 8.30pm however weren’t very confident. By 8.40 the status had changed to the food being delivered however nothing had arrived. The food was dropped at 8.50pm-when called to see where the order was we got told its Just eats mistake

My favourite Chinese in Reading. Especially love the Singapore vermicelli noodles and chicken chow mein! Curry sauce is always good too. I usually have leftovers and it’s always just as amazing the next day. I’m moving away from Reading and am gutted to have to wave goodbye to Wan Choi. Thank you for many amazing feasts!! ❤️

Ordered off the app, was charge but no food. So called them up and told them about it and was told it would come to me in the couple business days. I ordered on the 4th of June and now it is the 17th, no refund or food. So I want my money back or my food

Really good Chinese takeaway, the customer service is top tier. I particularly love the crispy aromatic duck, and the satay sauce with prawn crackers.

To be honest, when I first saw the reviews of this place on Google Maps, I didn’t find any Chinese reviews at all, so I thought this should be a typical British-style Chinese restaurant. As a Chinese, I didn’t like it. Didn't have high expectations for this place. But because I live nearby recently, I occasionally passed by their place and ordered a few dishes. I found them to be quite good, especially their King Prawn Chow Mein, which far exceeded my expectations. How can I say, they fired me. When I was a child, my dad gave me the taste of fried noodles at home. This was not easy. As a fried noodle lover, I have eaten various fried noodles in Southeast Asia over the years. In my opinion, the Vietnamese "Mi Xao" is not seriously fried at all, just Drizzle the noodles with oil. The Indonesian "Mi Goreng" likes to add sweet soy sauce, and there is no pot gas, so I can't get used to it. Some of the fried noodles in China's street shops and stalls are okay, but generally Heavy in oil and salty, some are too spicy (especially outside of my hometown in the Yangtze River Delta), and some are technologically advanced and ruthless. The fried noodles in this store feel like they have fried the most basic soul of family fried noodles in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. Appropriate oil, moderate but not too heavy seasoning, vegetables acceptable to Chinese people, plus the fragrant pot gas, king prawn is also It's quite generous, and I can't believe that the most tasteless fried noodles I've had in recent years was in the UK.

I could never hate you guys, you give me the most banging vegetable spring rolls which I order from you religiously, I would say, please bring back the bubble tea… I miss them. 😞

Two weeks ago, we ordered and never got our food and got charged! No answer on the phone despite ringing several times. The shop then had a sign they were shut until the 14th April - this was not made clear until I drove to the shop to see where my order was!! Then we were told we would get an immediate refund from their accounts team when we left a review regarding this but I have still been charged - no refund in sight. Called the shop several times just now because they are said they due to open on the 15th - again, no answer. They have got new reviews made up below saying people have ordered food just last week even though they were supposedly shut until 14th April...

Ordered from a here a few times, the foods always hot and tasty, and the generous portion's doesn't compromise any of the mouthwatering dishes they offer. Definitely my go to Chinese place and will be going forward. The staff are always friendly and welcoming as ever. Thanks Wan Choi!

2 hours after delivery ordrerd and still not turned up , no one answer's the phone shocking service, can't rate food as haven't got any !!!!

Awful service. Placed an order on the app an hour and a half ago, received no confirmation but was charged. Tried calling several times but goes into voice mail. No iftar for us today.

Awful service!!! ordered the food and was told on the email confirmation it would come at 7:35pm but have not heard anything. Their phone goes straight to voicemail. My husband has had to drive out to the restaurant to see what the issue is. We have been charged with no dinner!

Very bland food. Couldn’t tell the two different curries apart. Cold food and late delivery despite being about a mile away.

Waited over hour and half for food. Told them over the phone my kids would be in bed and it still showed up 45 mins late. Terrible service won’t order from them again. Twice now it’s been really late!

Amazing food and equally amazing staff.

Large portion of salt and pepper chips is not large. All portions are generally very small. No prawn crackers with the order. Only good thing is they often deliver way ahead of when they say they will.

After 40 minutes of waiting after the latest possible delivery time, I called. They said it was on its way, I live a 5 minute walk away. After 15 minutes, the food arrived. It was very bland and tasteless. I think they forgot about the order and rushed the food. Would not go there again

Not a bad place and have tried a few times. But food can be very bland and dry. Made an order recently and chips were oven chips, chicken was dry, rice tasted like it had been heavily cooked in some oil. Just not good and not worth it. Try lees garden or wok u like if you’re local to them; guaranteed better flavours and food will be enjoyable. Update: I will blame the food because it was dry, it wasn’t good. I wouldn’t say I’m a regular customer as I’ve ordered only a couple of times and both were not good. And there was no issue with the card machine, my payment went through just fine and the order wasn’t late. So I can’t say the food was bad because of that. I respect you’re a small business but I do recommend trying a new recipe just to flavour the food that bit more. And I’m only comparing to other Chinese take aways local to the area and just saying they do serve better with full flavour. It’s up to the public if they wish to order from you, some people like different things. I appreciate you being a service and providing food, just not up to my expectations and that’s fine. Keep serving and enjoy the custom, im going to continue ordering from lees garden as they’re really good. And also wok u like, they give free spring rolls which is yummy! No hate from me, just honesty. Thank you

Great halal family owned Chinese place. It's a takeaway but good quality. Pay a little bit more for spicy well worth it. Do remember it uses genetically modified oils. If you are health conscious.

We ordered a takeaway. Mixed Hors D'oeuvres was quiet. Every else we ordered was tasteless. Crab soup had no flavours at all and wasn’t fresh either. The prawn dish we had, was bland and hardly any flavours. Was really disappointed. Will not order again.

You have to pay more for different levels of spice, which is strange. Even when we ordered extra, and payed £1.30 for it, it wasn’t very spicy/flavoursome. Also, they missed something from the order. Sorry but not a great experience

Food is spot on at Wan Choi! Ordered special fried rice, special chow mein and crispy fried beef and it was great. Very tasty and excellent value for money as you get huge portions. Also the brothers are very welcoming and decent, thank you for the hospitality. I'll be back again

Ordered delivery tonight. Food is delicious. Especially like the Kung Po chicken and Singapore vermicelli -full of flavour. The Kung Po Chicken comes with a marinated chilli vegetable hot and sour sauce which taste authentic like south east Asian cuisine. Will definitely order again

Food tasted great, but considering you pay extra for no vegetables, there wasn't a lot of meat with the dishes, fairly disappointed with that!

Loved the hot and sour soup. The set menu # 3 is a value for money package (2 mains, 2 large rice, spring rolls and beef ribs). We ordered chicken Manchurian and crispy beef strips in the mains - will try some new combination next time.

Absolutely awful food, all food came cold and had sweated in the bags, the mini munch box was all in bags and not in a box!! Awful taste to all the food. Will never order again.

Chinese food can be hit or miss but I feel Wan Choi get it right. The quantity and quality are spot on with brilliant crispy duck and great chow mein and beef (black pepper) dishes. The sweet and sour chicken balls deserve special mention as they are very good with large pieces of chicken in. Can’t fault!

Small portions, stale prawn crackers, really salty seaweed, hardly any meat on the ribs. Not good portion of hors derves for £11. Wasn't very hot when it arrived. Bit of a let down considering we spent nearly £40

The delivery lady was very rude because I have a dog inside (my dog is my assistant in disability, trained and just sitting by the door which I anyway opened only little only my head and 1 hand was between door and wall, my dog is a small Pomeranian. She chucked the thin bag with food on the ground in front of my door, however I was reaching for it. I get very upset and anxious a I told her the food is for me, not for dog!! It's very disrespectful. I understand that she mentioned her allergies and that she was scared of dogs from a previous bad experience, but that's not reason to chuck my food on the ground, I'm disabled and that for me is very difficult to bend down... I hope I won't experience stress like that again, as I would really like to enjoy the food, not just force myself to eat as I have to, maybe if she's not on the phone with friends and pay more attention to customers and deal with situations which is uncomfortable for her, so it won't affect badly customers as they don't know who's scared of what or which allergies they have and it's my home,. Anyway, the food was very nice, shame I couldn't enjoy it as much because of the stress caused by the delivery person. Many thanks

Never a disappointment from this establishment. Always happy. When your given the desi option for 50p it's worth it. Gives a little spice to your cold winter nights. I really like this place the duck black bean sauce really nicely done. Keep up the good work.

Best Chinese I’ve had from Just Eat. Very good quality.

Sadly the salt and pepper chicken was bland and dry, the roast duck tasted of barbecue sauce, also dry and bland, the mushroom rice was tasteless and soggy, I would definitely not order again.
