Really enjoyed the food at Walnut! Price is very reasonable and the restaurant is clean and comfortable Food highlight for us was the Fesenjan, a chicken stew made using pomegranate molasses, dates and walnut paste served with saffron rice. We love to try new food and if you're into the same, I'd recommend to try! We'll be back soon to try one of the lamb stews

I really loved the atmosphere here , the deco annd everything is superb!! And most importantly the food , AMAZING , BEST PERSIAN FOOD. The food was really delicious. I recommend the Persian roulette dessert , and the ghormeh sabzi. And after my meal I felt quite active and didn’t feel ‘fat’ meaning food is really nutritious/healthy. And meal is overall affordable 😍. Me and my uncle really enjoyed spending our time here 😍

Mandan’s great and friendly service!

Went with a group of friends for Iftar and straight away they served us a big bottle of water and dates. The service was fantastic and the food left me speechless. Absolutely 10/10. Saffron ice cream did not live up to the hype but the Persian roulette was lovely.

Second best Persian restaurant in Manchester after Darbar. Food is always great, staff is attentive and the interior is all over the place, it’s trying to be too many things at the same time. Wish they could have hired an interior designer who could have bring it all together.

We had dinner at Walnut Restaurant in Manchester for the first time. They were open until 11 pm on a weekday. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. I ordered Joojeh Torsh for the main course. It was so delicious. I expected a smaller portion but they were generous with the portion. We enjoyed Persian sweets and saffron tea after dinner. It is a must at this restaurant! Overall, the food and the service were excellent. I will definitely come back in my next visit.

Very mediocre experience for £46. Food was mediocre at most. Kobidah kebab is nice and tasty and I would definitely recommend that. Other than this, very bland chops, chicken, and lamb pieces. Not much flavour at all. I’ve ate at a lot better Persian places than this. Potions are reasonable for the price, just not very tasty, which is a shame, as the reviews I read, said differently, but for us tonight a very average meal. Not great when you make a special 1.5hr journey. Also service not great, nobody came to ask us if everything is ok, and nobody asked if they could get us anything. Waitress on phone whilst at work. Poor attitude towards work.

This was the first time we came to this restaurant. We ordered two dishes, Qorme Sabzi and Sour Kebab, along with olives and eating vegetables, which were not always of good quality, and waitress kindly removed the vegetables from my bill. The vegetables were awful and the food was not good and not tasty. I would like to thank the salon staff for bringing Zolbia along with our tea. In my opinion, the problem was the bad taste of the sauce that was on the kebab and used for the olives, it tasted like a pencil sharpener. They brought us coco sabzi as a veggie . it was really sad . the only reason I gave this two stars was because of the kindness of the staff

I am single parent, and I couldn't celebrate my son's birthday because of some reasons so I gave him a surprise party here at WALNUT RESTAURANT MANCHESTER and it was very fun. The service was great, the food was delicious the management, customers and the waitresses was so good also the restaurant was very clean. Other customers celebrated with us making it have a very welcoming and family-like atmosphere. Another family paid for our dinner without us even knowing and some others gave my son a gift. Iranian cuisine refers to Iran's culinary customs. Persian food is another name for Iran's culinary traditions, even though many Iranian ethnic groups have contributed to them. This is because the term "Persia" has historically been used to refer to Iran in the West. We tried the Istak which is a traditional Persian non-alcoholic malt beverage (Peach Flavour), Walnut Special Mixed Kebab - one skewer each of marinated lamb fillet, joojeh and koobideh served with grilled tomatoes and choice of rice/naan/salad or chips, Mast-O-Mosir - Shallot & Garlic mixed with thick strained home made yoghurt and finished with Saffron Tea. The tea pot was so fancy and cute at the same time. The ambience was amazing and so were the staff. As the food is freshly prepared and the restaurant usually is packed with foodies, it would take a bit longer to arrive. However, we enjoyed the entire experience 😊 Only when we consume food in its authentic form, without drawing comparisons to our own cuisine or palate, can we truly appreciate its beauty.

Fantastic Persian restaurant on wilmslow road. Had the mix grill and everything was brilliant. The kobeda was succulent, the chicken and lamb chops were a treat and the rice with the little stick of butter was soft with the taste magnificent. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Loved the decor inside as well.
