Best food, Great service, we celebrate all our memorable days here and we truly recommend it to everyone.

I visited Walnut restaurant last week, and I often go there as it is one of my favorite places. However, I encountered an incident that appeared discriminatory. When I asked the waiter whether the butter was halal, the response was, unfortunately, full of prejudice. This is disappointing, especially since the restaurant is halal, and I have every right to ask such a question. It seemed the waiter did not take this matter seriously. I wanted to ask the restaurant manager: do you approve of such behavior? Please note that many of my friends were with me, and they also plan to send their complaints to you.

Very nice food, outstanding service and we are very happy to come here at least once a week and enjoy the food and atmosphere. Truly recommend it.

Wallnut is the best Persian Restaurant I have seen in the UK so far. Not only the food is very good, but also the service is fabulous. Whenever I pass Manchester, I would definitely go there.

Great food. Just not a fan of the service. You feel they want to kick you out after eating to get in a new customer. Happened multiple times.

Great food, lively atmosphere, the ultra white light in the basement dining area made it feel like i was eating in a restaurant in Tehran! Loved the service for our large party of 13, the desserts and tea at the end were well received!

Went for lunch today, it was excellent from beginning to end, when we arrived the staff were so friendly, welcoming & the service efficient. The food was hot, delicious & beautifully cooked & presented. Will certainly be going back

10/10 for the amazing Persian experience and flavours, decent portions and first-class service. Food served quite fast, and overall delicious food! Both (grill main course and starter) items ordered came with bread/naan. No need for extra add ons. Will visit again when in Manchester

Excellent quality food , quick service and well priced.

Amazing food, Menu was so user friendly, it had some image and enough descriptions. There are so clean and the menus were not sticky like other restaurants. There is a car park nearby, which makes it very convenient.

celebrated my BD in Walnut which was a blast, a great place with lovely staff and beautiful food that reminded me of home.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this place. I came here upon recommendation from a friend and entered the place and was pleasantly surprised with the nice decor and layout of the restaurant creating a somewhat simple yet pleasant atmosphere. We were greeted by a person who had a cold demeanour with short hair, earring and a checkered shirt which was totally inappropriate for a waiter. It didn’t smile or speak much which put me off. I got even more annoyed when I opened the menu and saw the extortionate prices. The food however was really tasty and one of the other staff members was polite. We were getting ready to leave and one of us went to the bathroom and upon entering the toilet saw something disgusting on the toilet seat. Quite obscene that they can’t keep the one toilet they have in the restaurant clean for paying customers.

As always Walnut didn't disappoint. Service and food was lovely , apart from 1 lamb stew dish that my friend felt was burnt. I decided to try the Pomegranate chicken and it was so nice. .Others had the lamb chops , chicken kebabs fish and a vegetarian dish .All served with lovely rice , clay oven bread or chips. Waiter was brilliant.

Great Persian restaurant with authentic dishes. All the items are made fresh and served promptly. My family celebrated my son's birthday there, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Be mindful to book a table in advance and avoid being late, as the head waiter will tell you off. Overall, I recommend it.

Authentic food and super delicious, I have have the mix grill and tea. The price was okay given the cost of living crisis, but worth a sit down and enjoy your meal. Bon appetit

My wife and I are not Persian, but for 30+ years have lived amongst Persians in Australia, Bahrain, UAE and the UK, many of whom we count amongst our most dearest of friends. We have eaten more home-cooked Persian food, and eaten at more Persian restaurants across the world than we could possibly begin to count. This evening we took one of our closest Persian friends to Walnut. She travels regularly between her homes in Australia, Iran and the UK. This was both her and our fist visit to Walnut. We were blown away, our friend even going so far as to say that our meal was probably one of the best she has had outside Iran. Everything we ordered proved a taste sensation. For starters we indulged in generously filled bowls of Mast-O Mosir (shallot and garlic mixed with thick yogurt), Kashke Bademjan (aubergine dip), a simple but fresh and tasty mixed salad of chopped tomato, cucumber, green pepper, lettuce, olives and dressing, Torshi (pickled vegetables - a "must have" accompaniment to any Persian meal), and freshly baked Persian bread. This was accompanied by mains servings of the great Persian classic, Ghormeh Sabzi (Persian herb stew with kidney beans, dry lime and truly the most succulent pieces of lamb you could hope to find), Fesenjan (incredibly tender pieces of chicken in a walnut pomegranate sauce), and Zereshk Polo (Barberry Rice with Chicken), a near half-chicken dish of Persian of steamed rice, layered with barberries. The very generous portions proved a struggle for even me to eat, but the bill (no alcohol) for the three of us, including two large and very refreshing glasses of mock mojito and a couple of bottles of still water, came to a mere £88! Where on earth else in the UK can you find such good and generously portioned food for a bargain price of less than £30 per person? All in all, this place deserves a 10 out of 10 for food quality, presentation, portion sizes and taste, ambience and service. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Since 15 years ago , Such a lovely and friendly restaurant, Walnut made us feel like old friends, Tonight as always The food was excellent, salads and Sabzi was so fresh. Beautiful setting. The menu is large with lots of options for veggies and meat eaters. Very honourable owners , Great food, great staff, highly recommend a visit. I was there for lunch and ordered kebab. It was great experience and one of the best persian restaurant I have been there sofar. I was impressed by their hospitality. Mandan was so kind, friendly and easy going. She treated me very well. On the beginning, they welcomed me by fresh orange juice. Food served on time and quality was amazing. I was surprised by mast mosir in my order because they included to my order for free. strongly recommend it to persian food lovers

First time at this restaurant and for sure not the last one. The food was excellent, all the dishes ordered were so fresh and tasty. Seasoning was just right, great flavours and portions were good too. Service was impeccable, very friendly and courteous without overpowering their presence. They didn’t try to sell you additional dishes or drinks, they just did a great job. Also the background music was beautiful and volume was right. All in all a really enjoyable. We will be back!

Delicious, delicious rice in it

Tasty food with generous portions! The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were enjoying our meal. We had a lot of leftovers because of the great portion sizes, and the staff kindly checked if everything was alright with the food. There was no problem at all—everything was delicious! We just wanted to save some for tomorrow ;)

I live their food whenever you go and whatever you order you will love it. Make reservations before going there as they are busy always. 👍

Very nice food, great atmosphere and amazing staff.

Just had two portions of kabab koobideh with rice. It was even by far better than most restaurants in Iran. Lots of credits to Mandana and other staff for their very friendly behaviour. Can’t wait to come back again.

Amazing food will definitely visit again.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. My chicken dish (number 23) was beautiful. The chicken wings were amazing, my family enjoyed their lamb shanks! I loved how the fruit juices were freshly squeezed. Everything was fresh! The service was great, nice and relaxed atmosphere! We will be back!

The food and desserts were tasty as always. I was just expected a softer koobide kebab. But generally everything was nice specially their friendly staff.
