I live locally and have been trying different places on Burton Road to figure out which one is my favourite. I have to say Pomegranate has the best food on Burton Road! The meat is such good quality and perfectly cooked! Service is lovely, very attentive. Because the restaurant is so small it has a lovely, cosy atmosphere. I will hundred percent become a regular!

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the finest Persian food in the UK, and I would strongly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant serves spectacular Persian food. As an Iranian myself I’ve struggled to find a Persian restaurant that delivers food this good outside of Iran (especially in the north of England). Every single aspect of the food we ordered was so authentic it nearly brought a tear to my eyes. We ordered: Persian pickles - super tasty and chunky which was perfect. Shirazi salad - perfect salad for rice dishes, tangy and herby but balanced really well. Ghormeh sabzi - i pride myself on doing this well and a staple of any Iranian household so when I say I think this is the best I’ve had since my late father passed, I really mean it. The tastiest dish and I absolutely love it. Ghafgazi anari kebab - the most perfectly cooked lamb and chicken. The rice was fluffy and tasty too. This is a small place, I assume family run. Very pleasant service, nice atmosphere and I would highly recommend. We drove 1 hour to this place and I would do that again regularly in a heartbeat. No criticisms from me but I would love to see some tahdig on that menu.

Stunning Persian food and beyond amazing service. We went for a work due and everyone was so happy with the food freshness, quality, and price. The best appetizer was the chicken liver hands down 😋 Darina was our host and she has been incredible; from recommendations, service, to checking over and catering for our needs. 10/10 for everything, a must try just you are in the area.

Reservado en el último minuto un sábado por la noche. Bonita mesa tranquila, excelente servicio y buena selección en el menú. Las bebidas y la comida llegaron a su debido tiempo, fantástico pollo a la parrilla y cordero, maravillosamente tierno y húmedo. Buen halloumi a la parrilla y verduras al lado.

Starters were really nice with lots of flavour, interesting and felt freshly cooked. Mains however felt a bit bland. It seems the sauce and meat are cooked seperately so the flavours had not come through. Generous portions and nice atmosphere. Price reasonable

I'd heard great things about Pomegranate so was looking forward to giving it a try. I had a kebab with half rice/ salad. The meat was really delicious but the salad was just straight out of a bag with no discernible dressing and the rice was just that: no sauce or taste (dry). The plate hadn't been warmed so the food went cold straight away. I told the server about the salad and rice problems but she made out that was my problem and even smirked a little.

We didn’t have a reservation but we were happy to sit outside under the warmth of the heaters. Service was excellent. Polite, helpful, charming and professional. And the food! The food is absolutely delicious. Fresh salad, excellent hummus and probably the best stewed chicken I’ve ever eaten. It will be the first restaurant I visit on my next visit to Manchester.

Fantastic little place with a lovely atmosphere. Super tasty food based on authentic recipes. Parking is a challenge in the immediate neighborhood but you can park in the hospital's car park a corner away for really cheap. Table reservation is recommended.

As a visitor from Northern Ireland I have enjoyed a lovely evening shared with very special friends in a pleasant and authentic setting. The food was most delicious and the staff extremely pleasant and attentive. This has been a most memorable and positive experience. I highly recommend Pomegranate.

Ordered a delivery. The quality of meat/chicken is average. The marinade is so bland. I cannot express how bland this kebab was. The delivery package was ripped (this can be the fault of the driver or cheap quality packaging) The portion is very small for £19 per portion. The "saffron" rice has been microwaved and has a plastic smell to it.

A lovely restaurant with young, kind and hard working staff, set in a nicely decorated building and a cozy atmosphere. The food is really nice and well cooked, I've never had rice as nice as they do it here! Would certainly recommend to people especially students who may be close by.

The Barbarine and Pastachio rice was incredible and the lamb fell off the bone. Great range of choice on the menu. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Lovely Persian food and a lively atmosphere. We were a family party of 7 eating at 8pm on a Friday night which was a very busy time for the restaurant. The staff were curteous and friendly. My husband loves Fesenjan with the chicken, walnut and pomegranate, he said it was one of the best he has had nice and strong (he is from Shiraz). We had a selection of main courses, Bhagli Polo, Zereshk Polo, Koobideh and some naan. We all enjoyed the presentation and the food, The different rices were very nice. We also had a Jug of Doogh, always tasty and refereshing.

Really good service and delicious food! Ordered the lamb shank and it was a bit tough so I asked for a sharper knife. The waitress noticed the issue straight away and replaced the dish; the new lamb was tender and fell off the bone. Baklava was also divine. Definitely be back when I can.

Order the food from this restaurent, the food was not fresh at all, especially the broadbean rice they give us the overnight rice to fool the customer, I spent totally nearly £60 for the food. Totally dissappointed and they service is bad as well. Definitely not recommed for this restaurant. Waiste my money did not get the good food and service.

Pomegranate restaurant claims to offer Persian cuisine, but the reality falls short. To add to the disappointment, the staff's behavior is rude and inattentive. Overall, it's not worth the visit if you're seeking genuine Persian flavors and good service.

As a Persian I must say the quality of the food was really bad! This is not authentic Persian food sorry. Better quality ingredients need to be used. The atmosphere, decorations and music is nice though. Also the olives and baklava were lovely.

Best tasting food I’ve eaten for a while. The hummus was amazing. Staff were very courteous. If you’re looking for something a bit different to the usual restaurants then give this place a visit.

Pomegranate Restaurant Didsbury A very wet evening 2 nd January my daughter suggested Pomegranate to celebrate her birthday a girls meal out . It was quiet to be expected on a wet early January evening but we were not disappointed ! We went for the January offer 3 courses for £29 …the Baklava had to go home with us far too satisfied with first & second courses ! Not eaten Persian food before we had no idea we went for Hummus dip & a crisp naan , salad of Asparagus , Walnut & Feta with a divine dressing chose two main dishes Fessenjoon, Chicken in a tangy walnut & pomegranate sauce Badernjooni lamb with aubergine & chilli Both served with half salad & rice A bottle of house Red We can’t fault service & presentation although quiet we had a lovely evening we will definitely go back on my next trip from Yorkshire !

Delivery arrived minus 2 items ! This is the second time this has happened! The first time just eat gave us a refund on to account! We then ordered this and got the refund on this order. However this next order was missing 2 items ! So we had to ring them again!? Still wafer missing items !!!
