Smashing kebab huge portions and fresh salad. Staff were super friendly

They missed out my order number had to go up and ask and still didnt give me my drink but food was good

Not been here for a long time glad I did though had the kobeda and the kobeda and chicken mix salad and sauces absolutely brilliant place has had a refurbishment and the chips are like proper chippy chips don't think I'll get a kebab from anywhere else

Family favourite for years. Kobeda and special sauce is excellent.

If you’re looking for only fish and chips avoid this place first time ever coming. The fish was frozen and not fresh and the chips were undercooked

Kbabs and nan are not cooked properly today and rice taste is so bad. Must needs to improve food quality and service. Few months before 8 out of 10 But today sorry to say Only one 1 out of 10 today.

If you have’nt been here before then you need to try it. Best place for kobedas and grilled chicken and lamb chops. They even do a great chip barm!! Go and give it a try. Highly recommend

Chicken was very under cooked, and Nan bread was soaking in juices, I told the staff but they done nothing about it but made a big fuss. I really wasn’t happy and left still hungry

I have been coming here since I was a kid. Can’t fault the Kobeda at all. It is definitely the best around! The owner is so respectful and looks after his customers very well. Highly recommend!

Called to check allergy information for some dishes and was told they would not speak to English staff that cook some dishes…did ask very politely if they could ask but guy was rude and said he would not speak to the English staff. Okay then

Had the kobeda chicken tikka pieces on nan the best one I had in a long time proper old school would deffently recommend this and sauces mixed together was nice chips was also decent and we went 2am in morning and was fairly busy but easy seating for 5 lads

The food is completely rubbish, last night we ate mixed kebab which is horrible!! The kobida was so oily and the chicken was tasteless. After 24hrs stil filling sick!

This place is the best in the WORLD for Kobeda! ... and I travel for a living.

Can be a little busy but i did a take out. One of the best cheesy chips and the man who serviced us was polite and made sure order was done quickly.

I went in the morning to get a cup day kebab and I asked the staff that is the cupboard. The kebab is lamb or any other meat. He said his lamb so I had it and I had reaction when I got home and I went to the hospital, food reaction and the staff was very rudelook aggressive, I have food emergency and I told them you can’t put yoghurt sauce and if he’s not proper lamb I can’t have it. I can’t have beef or other meat, not the original chippy anymore.

Went in for fish and chips. They put in frozen fish into hot oil resulting in burnt batter fish full of oil but raw fish inside, it was hideous!! The fish went straigh into the bin.. The pictures of the fish and chips looked so promising too. What a waste of £10!! The chips were more palatable, but dry. The best part of the meal was the Diet Coke!!! Disgraceful to call yourselves a 'chippy'!!

This place is best avoided. A grey haired, middle aged staff member was extremely rude and arrogant. It's not good for the business, perhaps the management needs to have a look at it. This staff member is not fit to work in any capacity dealing with fellow humans. Try other places where you are welcomed with a smile and warmth to spend your hard earned money. A rare evening out with the family ruined! Only plus point at this place was a staff member called Saeed. Who would be a credit to any business an empathetic, kind and lovely gentleman.

It is a good middle eastern style restaurant but many other options like fish and chips available. Food is good. Especially the wraps, kababs etc. Good size portions and service also is good

Unfortunately, we were regulars from another city and would make sure we always would purchase our kobedas. Now we don't feel like it They have gone expensive The kobedas are smaller then the naan The kebedas have a different taste to it Not the same anymore. It's very sad.

Went there for lunch last month with my family and the food was absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for the best kabab in town then look no more.

I strongly recommend this restaurant! the food was delicious and the service was very good. Special thanks to the chef and all the polite workers over there. We all enjoyed your fantastic food and the evening was everything we hoped it would be.

It was a big decision to try rush holm chippy,because there were other options on wilmslow Road. Anyway we ordered the famous kobeda. The food was OK,not what all the hype is about. The nan was too hard,and the kobeda was OK. Tasted like it was only fat and no meat. THERE ARE OTHER BETTER PLACES OUT THERE. It is very expensive and not worth the money at all.

1st time I've tried the food at Rusholme Chippy, fish was disgusting, chicken was uncooked (red inside) ,full of charcoals. Staff too rude . Waste of £25+ money . KFC would be a better option. I would not recommend going to this place again.

I can honestly say, deciding to stop off here before I got home, was one of the best decisions of my life so far. Walk in, nice vibes, people chatting, nice n clean, good pictures of the menu too. Now I didn't ask for much, but what I did ask for was not on the menu: chips with loads of salad. No problem, 5 mins. GR8. The guy serving me was very kind and we had a bit of a laugh as well. Very friendly, and very chill about it. They had Irn Bru cans which of course I'm gonna get 1, it's the elixir of gods. Cold af cans - NICE. Less than a fiver for all that! buzzing. he gave me a deal cause we hit it off haha Nah honestly lush, really hit the spot. Big fat chips, not greasy, stayed crispy and shapely even under all that salad! Gave me mega sauce too, and it wasn't too heavy or even wet tbh. Salad crunchy n fresh and flavoursome. Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic end to a long day of hard work and good friends. Will 100% be back here. And recommend it to everyone ever. XoxO

I’ve been here a few times in the past, but not for a few years. Went today (made the trip especially, because I live 45 mins away) and it didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing. The shop has been done up since I last went and it’s miles better- clean and inviting. The service was really good too. Can’t wait to go back.

Went there yesterday with my brother, son and 2 nephews on the way home from Old Trafford. Kobeda was tasty as was the chicken Tikka on Naan. Food was fresh and was served piping hot. Chips were of a good standard hot and crispy but portions seemed to lack a level on consistency especially as I saw a family get 3 fully loaded trays of chips whereas we had 5 portions with probably just the same amount of chips. All in all will def visit again but will ask for a full tray of chips. (Was too tired and hungry yesterday to kick up a fuss). Restaurant was very busy and turnaround time for food was very good. Staff were doing their best to be pleasant whilst speeding through taking and preparing orders Can't fault their claim of the original place for Kobeda It has to be tried if you are in the area.

1st visit. Ordered a single Kobeda kebab on naan, salad and sauce separate. The price was fair for the quality and size of the meal. Really enjoyed how they served this with some kind of ghee / melted butter. Place was clean and food tasted and looked fresh. Hope the next visit doesn't disappoint. Thanks guys.

Very nice but very expensive for a chippy. Who can afford something like this nowadays with everything too expensive. Please lower the prices. You will still make a profit by the will of god. Just look after your loyal customer base.

I have been going to this eatery for some 25 years +and its always been great food and service its had a revamp inside and looks more modern but when the old man was there it just had a couple of tables to sit down and eat and it was still great food god bless him

DISGUSTING, one of the worst chips and cheese ever. Money wasted and food landed in a bin. They were raw, undercooked and cheese was awful as well

I've just come from this place and OMG what a place. !!!! Me & MY daughters went there for a meal ...we ordered three fish & chips ...so waited ...when it was eventually ready..I had to go and collect them ??!!! The fishes were over cooked Black and looking disgusting !! They were like bricks . We had to use bruit force just to cut them . When I went back to the counter and complained...the guy started to give me some lecture about God ! It's a far too expensive and I will not be going back there again. !!!! Never !!!! I just hope that we don't get stomach problems after this. !!!! I only gave then one star for the review..other wise they don't even Deserve that Better change the oil 🛢 every day !!!

Great food Good portion sizes especially if you're a big eater If you're eating out, ask for the naan and meat separate as it can make the naan can get drenched in oil (unless you're into that Prices have increased a fair bit expect to pay £15-20 per person for a mix kebab chips and drink

Went there especially because it is so difficult to find halal chippies in Scotland. Imagine my dissapointment to find the fish was frozen, not fresh, in fairness, the guy taking the order , told me before I ordered, but was admonished by one of the chefs, to which he replied that it's better to tell the customer first than having problems later. The fish was terrible ,bthe chips were not good either, hard and dry. The mixed grill was ok but we have had better, locally. Definitely not worth a visit for the fish and chips.

People come to steal phones, and this is something that bothers me a lot, and I don't want to come to this place again.

Visited with a friend last week. There are several Kobeda kebab places along the curry mile in Rusholme now but the Chippy is still the best. And the only one that gives you real chips.

I dine from here at least once a month and the food is delicious with the unique home made hot and mild sauces. Consistency of quality is always there. Well done guys and keep up the good work.

Still the king of the kobeda. Not sure what all the hate is about. We ended up visiting twice in 1 day. The naan, the kobeda's, the sauces.....all perfect.

Went with my dad the food was great, I had the best kebab I have ever had. Would recommend, would definitely go back, the staff were also really helpful.

Legendary kobeda kebabs, I always have to get one when in Manchester. The chips and pink chilli are also delicious. Good portion size and fair price for what you get. I forgot to take a picture of the food i was too excited to start eating. Parking is non existant in the evening be prepared to park on a side road and walk at least 10 minutes.

Established since 1977 and still going strong. Had a double Kobeda for iftar and it was simply delicious. Top Top service and tasty food. 5*

I have been going to this place since the late 90s. Manchester is not close, but whenever I visit Manchester, this place is a must visit. Their kebabs specially are the best in the UK served with excellent tandoori naan bread and their secret sauces (yummy) They beat big restaurants in taste. Asked some friends to pick up a mixed grill for me yesterday. Even after a journey of 7 hours, taste was 5 stars after reheating in the microwave.

20 years ago I used to visit the one and only Rusholme Chippy. Just had a Double Kobeda Kebab and the memories came flooding back. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Great food, tastes authentic, wrapped up well with a good amount of salad and sauces (which so many places skimp out on). Best thing is that they take card payments too!

Never fails to impress however I feel every time I go the prices are creeping up lol still doesn’t stop me. The og kobeda 10/10 came today around 1:30-2:30pm the flavour the crisp salad and sauces to complement the meat 👌🏽

Seating area was freezing. Lots of draught through the doors. Went with friends, 3 of us. We all got gastroenteritis (diarrhea). Food wasn't worth the hype. Kobeda was dry. Nan was hard. Chips were great though freshly cut potatoes and fried. Never going again.
