Came in at 12 for lunch with my family (4 of us) food took around 20 minutes to get to us from ordering, Mac and cheese was dry, husband asked for medium rare steak but it came very well done. Service was horrendous, the man serving our food might as well have thrown the plates on the table.

Not disabled friendly. I was told I had to move my wheeled Walker to otherside of room..I said I couldn't walk without it. Was asked did it fold up which it does but it won't stand up folded. Absolutely no idea of how it is being disabled. Shame ad the food was good as were the prices.

It is a franchise and the menu is the same at related pubs. On the plus the food is consistent and the quality was good. The staff also really friendly and the food despite saying 20 minutes wait on the app arrived in 5 minutes after ordering. Only moan was my food burger and all was covered in Chinese five spice. I can still taste it... Maybe just the burger and leave the chips plain to pull the strength of the flavor down a notch. I would go back.

Nice food, good menu choices and friendly staff. A bit dingy in the conservatory area but overall a good place to eat out.

Mixed grill and the New Yorker were spot on. Really tender chicken, gammon, sausage and crispy thick chips. Staff accommodating. Thanks for a great service.

Update: Feb 25.Not as nice or good quality as fresh made/cooked pub meals but cheap and cheerful. Staff always helpful and friendly. Good portions of hot food, friendly staff. Back for a late lunch with the family. Had the bogof on burgers for me and son, husband had the big plate special tikka masala. He was over the moon with his, lots of food, perfectly cooked. I had the Jack burger (bbq sauce, bacon and monterrey Jack cheese) tasted good but a little light on the salad, the lettuce leaf was tiny, smaller than the tomato slice. Swapped the regular fries for sweet potato fries and a peri peri mayonnaise which was lovely. Son had a plain cheeseburger (no salad wanted) and chips, enjoyed it all.

We were served, the girls seem nice. I made a suggestion as I don't like beans, hash browns to also offer grilled tomato, was told they were for salads only. Tinned plum tomatoes would do in that case. These people want to bear in mind there are more things to be allergic to in tinned meals. My dinner plate looked half empty with 2 rashers bacon, 1 sausage, mushrooms 1 sml fried egg. You certainly don't get your money's worth here. After seeing the review I decided to give them another try to see if they'd improved. Same offered, tomato even in winter I was told was only for salad. We certainly won't be back as we'd driven from Sunderland.

As usual food was excellent and delivered in a timely manner. Our server Marie was a walking smile and very good with our 7 year old grandson.

Great parking, decent food, good service very quick, reasonably priced, decent atmosphere, good for a cheap convenient family meal.

The chilli, spring onion, coriander and herb salad on the menu had none of these ingredients in, it was literally just 1 type of leafy salad that was on the turn. Manager wasn't interested at all and done the old "it is what it is"

Went for drinks before a night out went with 18 year olds all with ID 1 had a 18 birthday sash on. One member of staff was very rude talking about our group to another member of staff which was overheard

After walking into this bar on a freezing cold night with my wife and daughter and her boyfriend. I ordered drinks and paid for them to confronted by one of your female employe asking for ID of my daughter boyfriend which he provided. Then she asked my daughter for ID to which I explained the Coke was for ! It was only 19:50pm and I explained again that I’m 53 years old and I know the law. She needs re training and taught respect the customer. Terrible customer service. Stop employing woke snowflakes

Got the chilli cheese burger the sauce was disappointing left it all, mixed grill steak was well done when wanted rare chicken was dry and chips were barely cooked

I was enjoying my night with my family food was amazing and the service I had was going good until me and my sister went over to buy a non alcoholic drink. We were instantly asked if we were 18 and I had explained how we did not want alcohol and I was cut off towards the end of my sentence and the woman then spoke again quite loudly for infront of many people saying how we just can’t be served at the bar which we weren’t aware of, I understand how you can have rule but I thought it would be alright since we were not even ordering alcoholic drinks? and it wouldn’t of been an issue if we were spoken to nicely about it. It was interesting as another member of staff came over to our table and apologised and explained how and why we couldn’t be there?. For the rest of the night the lady would walk past and clearly stare at my table making me and my sister feel intimidated as she kept repeatedly walking past and staring at us. To ADD to that we were approached by a clearly drunk man and he came up and started talking to us but then started touching my grandmas hair and shoulders with no acknowlagment or consent and the same woman with the brown top walked by watching him do all of it? and didn’t stop him or redirect him to his seat now imagine if anything else happened, not very well for safeguarding. As we were going to leave she seemed to be walking over to our table to clean it as i saw her cleaning other tables looked away did a complete 180 and cleared another table she saw in the corner of her eye, avoiding our table maybe? Im not one to judge. To add to that as we went to leave my mam was going to have a small word she was no where to be seen. Other than that everyone else was lovely and making sure we were enjoying our night. To end this upon reading other reviews it seems that the bar has some serious issues with attitude, ID and searving drinks in general. Its such a shame how one member of staff can ruin a reputation and view on the establishment.

Food nice but drinks expensive - £3.85 for a small orange juice

we went in expecting to have 15 people be fed and we were greeted by not being sat down but a rude "kids must go at 9 so get order now" and when the manager (annie) asked how many people there were her server said 15 and we were left with eyes rolled and unwelcome behaviour so we left and ended up at mcdonald's not recommended and need to be trained with manners .

Lovely pub with a outside area that has got a brilliant climbing frame for the kids,food was is lovely with a good menu to choose from. The staff are all friendly and helpfull and nothing was to much trouble. Will return again.

From the moment my son and I walked in we felt so welcome. The food was quality 👌 I had a medium rare stake which was cooked to perfection. My son had fish and chips and he was blown away by how good they were. Although the staff where busy they were very welcoming. Highly recommended.

A great place to have nearby for your average pub gastro experience. Handy if you don't fancy cooking on a week day evening. The atmosphere is so, so. Beer is ok but the prices reflect what is. Not really a local pub, more of a place to eat. Cheap and cheerful.

Me and my sister in law ŵent for lunch on Mon. Everything was fine until the manager abruptly/loudly told us our disability walkers needed to be moved. He actually moved them himself but didn't think that when we needed to get to one of them it was further to walk for my SIL to be:able to get it. She used mine to get it which was not ideal. I come for meals regularly with friends and family and have never been treated as badly as we were on Mon. If it wasn't for the fact this is the first time I have ever had a reason to complain I would be not coming back. I think he was prompted by the other member of staff to offer to help us if we needed after we had finished. He didn't oblige even though he saw:we:were struggling. He needs:some lessons in manners when dealing with customers. I appreciate they had a busy day and there was an obvious lack of staff around but this is not our problem no excuse for bad manners.

The only thing good was the service and beer. The food came overcook apart from the chips. What made quiver was while eating the burger we find in all our burgers that were ordered the salad was days old. If we had noticed this prior to eating the order the whole lot would have been returned. Photo enclosed

A great boozer at average prices. I usually drink san Miguel and i get change from a fiver. This is predominantly a place to eat and drink however, i don't mind that and there are toon games and sport on the screens. I certainly recommend this pub but I've never ordered food but it looks delicious and the staff are quite friendly

Foods bland but reset is pretty good. I wouldn't recommend the Sunday lunch as the meat just isn't the best quality Vs competitors. But nice location, family friendly and usually always somewhere to sit as never really busy

Beautiful place I’ve been coming here for years now and I still love it, nice friendly relaxed atmosphere served by the very polite Tony and Marie this afternoon, I opted for the whole tail scampi chips and peas with tartare sauce and everything was cooked to perfection I will be returning as always lovely friendly place with lovely genuine people. Food quality and quantity has dropped dramatically. A previous favourite, the Ruddles pie had fatty bits, gristly bits and visible arteries in the same pie. Chips were half the portion size also. When fed back, staff ststed "that's the way things are now". Pity as I used to visit regularly.

My family and I came for our lunch today The food was very nice and the the service was very quick. Our son really enjoyed the ultra candy mania he was super excited when he saw how big it was my daughter help him in the end to finshes it off which they both enjoyed

Met up for food, this was excellent, very tasty, went for the mix it up, chicken skewers, very nice with the onions and peppers and sweet potato fries. Staff were very friendly and the wait was very reasonable as was the price. Will definitely be going back

As a support worker for adults with learning difficulties, this pub is a go to when I'm out and about. The staff are very friendly and courteous with everyone. The food is always hot and cooked well. Overall, this a great place to eat. Out server today was Fiona, who is always marvellous with both myself and the people I'm supporting. Thank you.

Took 40 mins to order the food, 1 member of staff on the bar and a huge queue. Couldn't order the offer on the app so had to wait for this. Was then told "45 mins wait for the food". The manager was rude (when working on the bar) and she had also upset the man infront of me, when he walked away she literally shouted at him infront of everyone regarding the "new menu". The manager also told the table near us "I've had 3 members of staff threatening to walk out"... I'm not surprised! Food was of a good standard, although chicken very dry on the chicken new yorker. Best part was the older lady bringing the food and collecting the plates, always had a smile on her face! Other than that, all of the a negative experience. A lot of training needed for the bar staff, waiting times and management. Pint of moretti was £5.75 too, steep prices for drinks, not as cheap as other places surrounding for drinks and/or food.

Sam and Fiona are excellent staff lovely and nice to talk to they made my visit really enjoyable not like the manager who blanked me when I came in he was so focused on sweeping the floor he must of forgot to notice me and my family he looked so unhappy

Have not been here before so we booked a table for 12.30, we both ordered fish and chips which came with mushy peas and tarter sauce, we were surprised to find out you could have the 2 meals for just over £11 and I had a 15% veterans discount code which they were happy to accept , the food was hot the fish nice as was the batter, overall a nice meal for 2,we will definitely go again, and there was so many meal options,

We visited Walls End on a Tuesday evening around 5pm. We had booked in advance to take advantage of an offer so we were given table 1. There was TV in our booth with children's TV playing with no sound, this didn't really affect our experience. The food was alright for the price, nothing to shout about but good enough for a mid week family meal. The service was slow at times, especially when waiting for the kids' desserts. Overall I would try this pub again maybe at a different time.

You get a lot for what you pay. The breakfasts and main menu items always go down a treat. In todays world where everything costs a fortune, this establishment offers great value for money. The staff are polite, professional and you can get a laugh out of them. A great place for just a couple or for a whole family. Definitely a gem in the local area 😁

Just had lunch at The Wallsend pub (Table47) at 1pm. and it was quite simply “THE BEST” meal the three of us have ever had here!!! We are always quite quick to criticize but today was an exceptional meal. Well done well done to our chef Megan xxx

Had a Sunday lunch with the family. Plenty on plate & a very good price. Desserts were fab especially the donut.

Decent place for pub grub, decent menu & pricing

Extremely poor service compounded by frustrating mismanagement. Upon arrival with my family, we were abruptly repositioned by a staff member in a bright blue top who informed us that our initial table was reserved. Surprisingly, the reservation was for an hour later, and the expected guests never showed up, indicating we could have remained at our original spot. Despite this, our food orders were placed, but mine failed to arrive with the others. After an excessive 10-minute wait without any staff checking on us, I managed to get the attention of a server. It became clear we weren't the only patrons dissatisfied with the service. I was eventually informed that my meal was delayed due to the chicken wings needing more time to cook—an unusually long wait for a typically quick dish. When my food finally arrived, it was excessively seasoned, suggesting a mishap with the spices. This entire experience was deeply unsatisfactory.

RAC!ST!!! Avoid this place if you’re a person of colour. I brought my little girls here cos they wanted to have their burger. It was last Friday(12/4/24) and was packed but we didn’t have a reservation done. We got in and found some empty tables, one without a reserved tag on. The duty manager told us all table for 6 were reserved but this table was evidently not reserved and …..God the attitude she had speaking to me was disgusting, like I came begging for food. I asked her if we could use the one without a reservation tag and she said it was reserved and then got a tag and placed on it. I waited for about half an hour a family of 7arrived and she told them I was a family of 6 waiting. A family left and I was hoping we will be taken to that table only for another family if 6 that just got in at that moment to be taken to the table and this manager totally ignoring me standing right in front of her(JUST BECAUSE IM BLACK). I asked her why she took the family that had just arrived there to that table while I had been standing there by their counter waiting for a table for about half an hour she simply said she didn’t know I was waiting for a table. NOTE: I was standing right in front of her all the while and she had already told a family of 7 that came in that I’m a family of 6 waiting for a table. She then took me to the very table that was empty without a tag when I arrived and said we can use it. This was the same table she told me it wasn’t free but didn’t have a reserved tag on it. I reported this to another duty manger who was all pleasant from the moment we walked in. She said she would report to the main manager and he will be in touch and that the duty manger who was nasty to us will come have a word with us(she never did). The manager sent an email and said they will call on Tuesday no one did, I got an email saying someone from their head office will be in touch but nothing till now. It was a total disgrace!!!

We eat there very often as the service is very friendly and quick. Can't complain about the food - good and not expensive. Lots of choice for everyone.

My child received food poisoning from the kids chicken nuggets meal, when we got home they said the nuggets tasted off but not wanting to be rude they just ate them. Other food was fine but I found the staff at bar to be snotty and a little rude. Had to take time off work to take care of my sick child so missed out on money, such a shame as otherwise the atmosphere was nice and the wait staff were lovely.
