Pantrini's in North Tyneside

Paying to sit in but have to eat out of cardboard cartons. A lot of the old atmosphere seems to have gone unfortunately. Fish was good, staff are lovely. Not really what I would class as chippy chips. Would be nice to see it as a proper restaurant again

I found the fish nice and crispy not heavily battered or Soggy. The chips were nice and chunky with a good portion. The staff were very friendly.Seating could be a little bit hectic at busy times. Price wise was happy with this.

Proper potato chips pre ordered ,on just eat and the gluten free curry sauce the best and was done during a busy time slot on a sunday! The chips were tasty last time but even better this time and piping hot!

Usually love it here for gluten free fish and chips. I got cod goujons and chips. The batter was lovely but unfortunately there was a lot more batter than cod, there was hardly any fish in them. Really disappointing.

Great Food and excellent service! I've eaten at Pantrini's and ordered delivered Fish & Chips more times than I care to admit. The skinless and boneless Cod fits the description and the (regular) batter always nice and crunchy. Love the mushy peas!

Avoid! Ordered 2 regular fish and chips and kids meal with 2 curry sauce. Not cooked fish and chips are over cooked and dry. Staffs are OK but food wise is not worth the money.

Placed gluten-free fish and chips order which was ready for collection within 25 mins . Staff were lovely and food was literally being packaged at my collection time . Staff were knowledgeable and packaged items away from regular food. Meal was delic

The fish and chips from Pantrini's are amazing!! Perfectly cooked the haddock is the best in the area and the chips are chunky proper homemade chips!! The delivery is always early and the food is piping hot. All in all the first class.

This wasn’t good enough. We ordered 1 x haddock and 2 x cod with chips which arrived within 15 minutes instead of the predicted one-hour wait. Which is great, but you could tell as soon as we opened them that they hadn’t been cooked properly. The batter on all of them was the soggiest we’ve ever seen and all 3 had a horrible sour taste. The thing is, you could tell by looking at it that it hadn’t been cooked properly. If you’ve made a mess of it, don’t send it - would rather have waited longer.

I had home delivery tonight but do go to the restaurant too. Both are excellent, staff are super friendly. The food is fantastic. Fish is cooked to order. I’ve learned to love the spicy curry - I always believed curry had no place near fish and chips, happy to be proven wrong.

As always, fresh cooked fish, perfect chips, mushy peas. The spicy curry isn’t spicy, but I love the flavour and would recommend.

Pink fleshy bits under the batter on the cod, chips were chunky pub style chips not chip shop. Forgot a gravy and one of the cans of pop! Wont go again.

Paid extra for a large portion…was actually small portion of chips with regular size fish!! No salt and no vinegar proves they didn’t read the order! Won’t be ordering again.

Sorry not worth the price 11.50 each for regular cod and chips. Served in box chips taste like shop brought chips. I understand cost living but not worth money. It was quiet due to bad weather. Place looks dated. Just drove 200 miles and went before theatre. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Staff appeared fed up. Nothing like it was years ago. Such a shame. When you think fish quay is only 15 mins away. For same price you sit in restaurant. Sorry won't go again.

This is an ideal place for a quick and tasty meal if you're seeing a show at the nearby Playhouse. They have been in business since the 1920s so they know a thing or two about traditional seaside fish and chips. My cod and chips were delicious; the fish was well-battered and the chips were tasty. I had mine with gravy, which was a good consistency and flavourful. My sister had hers with mushy peas, which looked even better and which she said were tasty, My brother went for the smoky sausage and chips (pictured), which he seemed very happy with too. I noticed the menu was quite extensive and will be returning soon to try some of the other items: they have fried spam and chips which I can't wait to try on my next visit. They even have some gluten-free items and a veggie burger for those who need them. Service was friendly and quick too. Thanks to Pantrini's for keeping the spirit of British seaside scran very much alive!

One of the best in the area. Shame there isn’t a better seating area for when the weathers poor, but amazing food and lovely staff.

first time visiting here while on holiday at whitley bay caravan park and absolutely amazing & the best hot chocolate ive tasted

Popped in here with the family & grankids on a fresh & windy day, my wife & I had cheeseburger & chips + a cup of tea. the family= two adults & 3 grand kids had the same meals & we all were well satisfied. staff were really friendly & helpful. chips were lovely.

Foods lovely from here what ever you fancy you won’t be disappointed would definitely recommend Irish curry sauce is lush 👌🏻

Hard under cooked chips wont order again

cod bites nice but chips we're cold and hard,looked over cooked as dark brown,also asked for a lemon and batter on chips didn't get either,these were ordered for my elderly parents,cod bites were eaten but threw all chips in bin

The fish was delicious as always but on this occasion the chips were very brown and over cooked, we ended up throwing half of them out. They are usually really nice so maybe we just got the last of the day's batch this time.

We always buy our chippy teas here. The portions are so big I get myself a child's cod bite and chips. They are always freshly cooked and delicious. They have recently started doing breakfast butties. I ordered 3 ultimate butties and a sausage and egg one. They were lovely and just as big as their chip shop portion. I couldn't eat all of mine, but what I had cured my hangover

Delicious breakfast sandwiches to take to the beach on a sunny morning. Ordered bacon & added an egg, hash brown & halloumi. Wrapped in foil to retain the heat, perfect with a flask of tea.

Fish and chip shop basic to have “chippy chips” - freshly cut not frozen oven Iceland steak greasy chips. Do not order large fish Fish you will get a Nemo sized fish - over priced. Vinegar also watered down ? 1 grain of salt served with chips

I won a breakfast sandwich on social media and went for the ‘ultimate’ which was delicious. Whilst there picked up butties for the rest of the family and the bacon was cooked crispy as they like it. Will be back
