Wales Kebab in Caerphilly

Arrived late and freezing cold. Used to be great and the donner wraps would come wrapped up in foil so you could eat it like a wrap. Had to microwave a kebab with lettuce sauce and cucumber on it, not what you want at all!

The best chicken shish kebab in Caerphilly. Always cooked to perfection and always served hot on delivery.

It was ok, but no better than others I have had, and a little expensive compared to others.

Food was 55 minutes late so altogether waited 2 hours. Food was lovely as always tho but delivery time let you down

We had the lamb and chicken shish and we both agreed they were the best kebabs we'd ever had. Highly recommended

I have to say the they are normally really great but tonight wasn't great. When I rang them to complain they said they would get it right next time.

Rated best kebab in Wales, unfortunately not very close. Ordered the mixed grill (£14.50) with chips and drink (additional £4.00). The amount of chips was as much as you'd get for a medium meal in McDonalds and were also rock hard and dry - way way off £4, it is scandalous to charge this much for the quantity. The mixed grill was also much smaller than I thought for the price and the quality was poor. Lamb shish was full of fat, as was the chicken doner. Lamb doner and kofte were ok, but overall disappointing. For £20 this was a rip off to be honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but this was a Saturday evening which is expected to be the busiest and freshest. Won't be returning, I really wanted it to be good after such prestigious awards and reviews. I drove half hour to try it, such a shame.

Used Wales kebabs for 6 years but i think im done with them. Mostly the food is good, can be very hit and miss at times though. I ordered a delivery (which was £2+). They forgot my chips, rang as soon as I noticed. They said no problem they'd send them straight out. So I waited to eat the rest of my meal for them, rang an hour later only to be told they know nothing about it and again will send them out straight away..... 4 days later and I'm still waiting! I couldn't go into their shop and walk out with things I haven't paid for so why can they take my money for something I haven't received!

made us wait an hour for our food came absolutely freezing cold and gave me food poisoning pizza came and it was absolutely tiny chips were soggy spewing everywhere

Absolutely gutted always had great kebabs from this venue, but on this occasion 2 donor kebabs arrived the meat tasted old and hard and also cold. My partner threw hers straight in the bin. I ate most of mine but did not enjoy it. It is sad cos it's always been a huge favourite with family I may try somewhere else.

Is this under new ownership?rank scraps of chicken,hard pitta bread, really salty food,one slice of tomato and cucumber only, in a large kebab with all the he salad, Not the Wales kebab we used to know, very disappointed.

The food is delicious, and the service is excellent - they're a lovely team. The kebabs are nice and fresh, and the calzone pizza is also excellent.

Estimate delivery time was an hour and within 30 min it arrived, mixed meat doner and chicken shish kebab was hot, grease free just fresh and tasty, enjoyed it very much

That mixed kebab I had last night didn't have any chicken donor as it says on the menu. The one side of the container was all salad which meant there wasn't much meat. What I had was really nice but I paid £15.50 for the smallest kebab I've ever had anywhere in the world.

Best Kebab I've had in a long time

I went to this place with my wife and brother in law. This take-away shop is famous in Wales and selected best kebab shop in Wales many times. So we taught we should have a try. We ordered chicken doner with chips and lamb shish. I can say that my chicken doner was very tasty. Especially I liked their home made chili sauce and garlic sauce with my doner. It was big portion. I can definitely recommend this place and I will try again on my next visit to Wales.

Very friendly, food very nice and great portions.

Arrived home (5mins) food was cold and out of the tray bits and pieces, very disappointing.

So dissapointed. This place is normally a 10 in my book but tonight a guy wearing a blue cleaners t shirt, was clearly not listening when I placed my order. I asked for a large mixed meat and chips with garlic sauce, chilli sauce and salt and vinegar on the chips. What I got was a large cold donner meat and chips with mayo and no salt and vinegar. Not happy, this place can do better. It wasn't even busy. Not impressed.

Ordered a chicken Tikka kebab, can't belive how good it was.

Ordered a few times now and whats the point in the comments box or options when you ask for e.g salt and vinegar and its non existent, pay top prices for a kebab and get minimal sauce, even tho i asked for plenty in the comments box. Plus found a black hair in my kebab, put me right off. Dissatisfied used to be top notch.

How this place won best kebab shop ill never know, pitta nowhere near hot, greasy doner. Chicken doner was little dry flakes, the absolute worst "garlic" sauce I've ever had, it was just thick mayo. Salad was fresh so extra point for that. The worst on city Rd is better than this place

We ordered for the first time, defenetly will order again, don't think it's overpriced at all, only negative is that can't pay with card, otherwise bang on!

Just came back from a quick stop down in Caerphilly with my brother.. (fireman) Had a nice chat with the boys maybe the boss?? Knew people from where we came from... The food was outstanding fair play... portions were large and the salads were lovely and fresh....I wasn't brave enough to try the hot sauce... But everything I was told beforehand about the place was true and more.

Had a kebab with my partner last night... Me Donner and himself chicken sish. It's was lovely until I awoke at 2.00am with stomach cramps and a very very upset tummy. Not the first time but of course you put it down to other things the first time.. never again

The best take away in Wales without a doubt. Can be a little bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Normally good service,but unfortunately this order was dreadful, both meals stone cold,paid for salad and what I got wasn't not a salad ,i got about 5 purple cabbage slices. Had to dismantle a wrap and kebab to reheat,not worth the hour and 20 min wait. Think I'll try somewhere else next time. Shame.

This evening I ordered from Wales Kebab for delivery. The food was delicious and really generous portions, we ordered lamb kebab, chicken kebab and chicken wrap and we were not disappointed. Arrived 15mins early and the delivery lady was friendly . I could not fault anything. I would definitely recommend .

Food is fantastic although the last two times I’ve ordered online I had ordered Lamb Donner kebabs & received mixed meat kebabs. Slightly disappointing the order has been wrong two times in a row otherwise would have given 5 stars.

What can I say about Wales Kebab? Ddddddlicious. I had a mixed meat calzone, my husband had chicken tikka kebab, chips and chicken pops. The calzone was yummylicious, my husband loved the tikka chicken and there were so many pops, certainly do not skrimp on quantity. Without a doubt we will be ordering again. I forgot to mention delivery was great and the young lady I spoke to when I placed the order was very informative and polite. Thank you for the delicious meal

Had to try this shop as came highly recommended .Great food , Tried the house special , fed two of us comfortably ,reasonably priced and the sauces,homemade ,best we have tried .With a shiny award for Wales best Kebab shop 2021 and another for 2019 I can see why .

No, no, no!! How this ever won any award is beyond me. Had a trip to Ystrad Mynach from Ebbw Vale so thought given all I've read in the press about this place I'd give it a try. Couldn't decide between the 2 but the article seemed to prefer the quality of the meat at this one. I ordered over the phone, 20 mins early so they had plenty of time. Special request I asked for the chicken shish well done, well done it wasn't-it was closer to raw. Pink through the middle of one piece which I didn't notice until I had chewed it as the lights were off in the car. We also ordered a large chicken donner, that was filth. It was swimming, like drowning in grease and no flavour other than oil. We had garlic and mint, with no taste of any mint and chilli that wasn't even burny, it was red but tasted of nothing either!! We travelled back half an hour back to home where I spent 20 minutes on the toilet, evicting the "Award Winning" kebab out of my system, I'm not one to watch what I eat, I'll try anything and it generally stays inside me but this even my stomach couldn't tolerate. Done wonders for my diet but not my wallet 🤮🤮🤮 EDIT AFTER REPLY, Yes it was definitely you, I went to Ystrad first then on to you. It cost me 22 pounds and I ordered over the phone. I managed 30 minutes before it reappeared, it really was awful. I've no reason to lie, I'm just a very disappointed customer. I don't want a refund, I ate it, I just wish I hadn't 🤢

First time ordering. Prompt delivery but cold and tasteless kababs. They don’t even come with flat bread as its a additional option to order! Over priced pizza was non freshly made, possibly frozen and topping’s were processed chicken etc.

Not sure if there's been a change of staff or management but the last 3 orders we have had have been very late. One we ended up having to get something different for the kids as it was coming to bed time and still not arrived, and this one tonight was stone cold and a missing drink. Was always our first choice for a treat but unfortunately we won't be choosing again for a while after 3 disappointments in a row.

Best kebab House easy, always generous with the portions and fresh salad. A few more vegetarian options would be a bonus.

Came here for 1st time and didn't disappoint I didn't have cash only contact less and couldn't order online, luckily we had a note in car but still wasn't enough they were kind to let us off the few ££ for our order and it was lovely! Ordered the HOUSE SPECIAL KEBAB to be delivered came before the time given for delivery, food was piping hot and meat was delicious. Also ordered a pizza which was also hot on arrival. Everytime we have ordered the food the has been outstanding, freshly prepared and amazing taste.

Absolutely terrible service. 2 hours from order to delivery. Called for an ETA told it was leaving, from that phone call to the food getting to me was over 30mins. Food cold. No point complaining they didn’t seem bothered in the first place. Very disappointed

Best kebab takeaway in Wales! Very impressed, the kebab is a revolution, not greasy, the meat is perfectly cooked and tasty and the bread/salad/sauce is fresh. A regular size here is in any other takeaway a large and the chips are gr8 too! Food delivered quickly and an excellent price. Highly recommend, can't wait to try out their pizzas and burgers if this is anything to go by.

Have to give these guys credit I had a issue with my food the other night I was not happy with the quality and did not enjoy my order. No questions asked they offered a full refund or a replacement can't fault them. Thank you for fixing my issue.

Absolute shambles waited all night for 2 kebabs . Everytime i phoned was told it was on its way . Blatantly lying to your face. They never turned up at all. Will never spend a penny in this place again sams grill has got a new customer unlucky wales kebab I hope you go bust. Customer service shocking.

Whenever I travel to Caerphilly I always make a point of visiting Wales Kebab. I have tried kebabs, chicken and pizza from there, all of which have been great with really big portions. Also I can heartily recommend the chilli sauce on the Donner meat. Can't wait for my next visit.

Ordered from here a few times and I've always enjoyed it. Cookies are a must!! Staff are great, very friendly and I've never had a problem with the food. This is what gets me coming back here every time. Will recommend to friends and family. Would love to give 5 stars but I'd like to see an option to pay via card in the future.

We’ve used WK many times in the past so thought we’d try it again this evening. I went for collection as I knew it would be extra busy on a rainy Saturday night but my food was ready for me when I got there in 15 minutes. Food was nice, prices seem to go up each time I order but only by a few pennies. Will be ordering again sometime soon, no doubt.
