Visited the cafe. Was served by a lovely man and women, couldn’t do much more to help

Found everything I wanted. Just a small problem at the self check out. Prices have really gone up since I was last in. Was hard getting into and out of the car park.

Excellent store. Full range of organic food. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking - except Saturday mornings

Always a great place to shop. Even better when I spill something and the staff are so polite even though it was my own fault! Thanks all at Waitrose!

Worst branch I ever went to. Constantly low on fresh salad; vegetable; fresh bread and beer. Erratic opening policy of the café; where you can only sit for 15 minutes because otherwise you get a chill. Especially in the winter. They never heat. Even the staff complained about it. In general you have the feeling that you are dealing with a stingy and incompetent management. Some of the prices; especially meat; and fish are a complete rip off and the fish counter smells of fish; which tells you a lot about hygiene. The cold meat they sell is of very poor quality and totally overpriced. The bananas are always half rotten. The self checkouts are all faulty and don't work proper. The female self check out assistants are extremely rude and dismissive and just ignore you when you complain. The toilets stink and often are without toilet paper. The management is completely incompetent and should be sacked. All in all this Waitrose branch is a complete and utter mess. I never had any issues with the Cirencester or Cheltenham Brach over the last 25 Years I shop at Waitrose. Stroud Waitrose is a disgrace for the Company. Terrible branch.

I managed to get my Stockans Oat Biscuits there and baba ganuuj. The staff were very helpful.

Very well stocked, but shopping for a week for fresh meat is near impossible Very short sell by dates,as I don't like freezing.

Always like shopping here especially enjoy selection of chilled vegan products and lactose free. However one sales assistant was a little bit rude recently when I asked for assistance. Her tone was uncalled for and I asked her to reflect if entirely necessary as I don't like to complain. Just a one off hopefully.

After an early appointment in town,I decided to visit the cafe for breakfast. Chose the rainbow fritters and a coconut chai latte. Absolutely delicious and good value for the money. Friendly staff and great fast service. Only downside is that it is always so cold in there. But definitely recommend to all.

A little disappointed by waitrose these days ,quality seems to be lacking in a few areas that waitrose of the past you would never had seen,the toilets in your stroud store looked like it needed a lick of paint and some new counters as they were wairing away and chipped,your stroud cafe dosn't do a free drink anymore with your meal or food which seems a bit disappointing as some people might want to sit down while they have a a coffee,and your stroud store use to do quiet a lot of john lewis items but now it dosn't,hardly any gluten free fresh produce,please consider doing more ,hope to see some improvements in your store in time ,it has lovely staff but the store is lacking .

Very busy on a Saturday. A well stocked store, with easy access to the town centre. Everywhere was clean and well laid out. Charging points for electric vehicles plus a collection point for pre ordered shopping

Waitrose in Stroud offers a decent selection of groceries. However, prices can be higher compared to other supermarkets in the area. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Since the last lady left last year, the quality of the sushi has dropped massively! For the price you're charging it should be quality and made nice. Had issues a few times before and this is the last straw for me.. This congealed lump of rice skim that should have been discarded in the bin. Was put in the sushi ends and filled the tub 50% Bring back Moi the lady who made it before these new young people who lack in experience came in..

They sell stuff u can eat, it's nice, but u pay for quality so don't go if ur a quantity over quality sort of douche. The newer John Lewis bit isnt that great, prefered it before... Better selection of kitchen bits. Still alright though

Poor, very much gone downhill over the past couple of years. Overpriced and stock selection very much reduced.

Good quality items sold here, well laid out and very clean.

Fresh quality sandwiches from meal deal, only 50p more than other supermarkets but the taste was much more, worth the extra.

It's a Waitrose! Still wide aisles, good selection of quality goods and excellent fresh food and helpful staff, but expect to spend a bit more. Great fresh bakery and now a fresh sushi bar! Small cafe at the back has gone & the magazine selection has been cut a bit, while the kitchenwares section seems bigger!

Very nicely laid out store, wide aisles and quality produce. Got rid of lots of manned checkouts.

Went in to Waitrose to see the customer service desk As I had a fine because of spending over two hours in the car park. I had been in Waitrose the entire time , shopping and meeting in the coffee shop with friends.Thought this was unjust and the gentleman at the service desk sorted it all out and deleted the fine.Many thanks Waitrose great service restores your faith in humanity. Still think Britannia parking are total grabbing opportunists .

Lovely staff. Great wet fish counter Awful bottle neck to get in to carpark... I gave up and spent 90p next door.. I can't understand the queue which backed out to the roundabout as there were loads of free free spaces!!

As a Waitrose, it is fairly large and stocks their usual range of goods. Unlike some other branches, the range of cheeses is pretty good.

Pleasant up-market supermarket. Good quality produce, meat etc.

Finally, I got to work out how the coffee machines work :) First, you bring a cup, then when paying for your other snacks and nom noms, find and add coffee (normally £3), when you wave your waitress card, it magically drops to free coffee ☕️ 😉. Next, pop to the coffee machine, place cup under the spout and waggle your card at the magic camera and then select your coffee. Phenomenal and delicious too 😋

Haven't been in for a few weeks and it's all change at Waitrose! Lots more self check outs (new but with assistants to help the fumblers like me) so fewer tills but also fewer queues blocking the way to the café! Always a nice place to shop (and they still sell very dry sherry!!)

Worst sushi for a long time. Cut narrow (width) and thin (thickness), some piece you can literally see the white colour of the rice underneath. The rice also had a funky sour taste not experienced before and didnt stick together. No idea how they got something as basic as sushi rice wrong. Whoever took over the franchise has ruined it, it used to be great quality, nice thick chunks, now it is junk. Shame

New checkouts are awkward to use and the in store ATM was faulty.

This is a good supermarket, with helpful staff and lovely food. As always as the standard meat and cheese counters, there’s also a fresh daily sushi counter, and a bakery. There’s a small homewares section, and also a café and toilets. The front desk also allows offers dry cleaning and parcel collection.

Lovely experiences here, also with friendly cashiers.

Lovely staff but out of stock of a huge number of products. Today was the pits but it's been like it for months. Morrisons or Aldi in future.

Disappointed with Waitrose no.1 Easter eggs this year which seem to be missing some chocolate. Less of an egg and more of an almond. With the egg shaped part displayed on the front and sides of the box. I feel a bit cheated!

Nice Waitrose with a good cafe and bacon in a roll. Ask for butter if you need it.

Amazing customer service, amazing food. Most unlike other shops.

It's got a sushi counter. Now with overzealous store policies about pretty much everything. Don't try to buy alcohol if your teenage kids are out shopping with you, really full on discouraging shoppers within seconds of closing time (turning off the lights just makes it harder for people rather than faster), less choice, blah.

Good location. Easy to find and ample parking. Helpful staff and the usual range of Waitrose products. Obviously not the cheapest but consistently good quality.

Very good shop, they have a good selection of good quality food. A little more expensive than other supermarkets for the same item but the fact the have alot of good quality items all in one place makes up for it. They also have a really good range of meat free and plant based burgers.

I was collecting a JLP click and collect delivery and Helena served me. She was so helpful, couldn’t do enough for me, and made it seem as if it was perfectly natural to provide the level of service she gave. I know it was the Customer Services desk, but she went above and beyond, in my opinion. I had forgotten my reading glasses so she did more to help me than her job required, and I am very grateful to her. An employee to hang on to, I think.

We have lived for 10 years above this store and spent £1000s of pounds there particularly in Lockdown when it was a great place to walk to and the store kept going fairly well. Good hygiene in place and had lovely roses etc from a garden centre in trouble so great that Waitrose supported it. Have had experience of Waitrose and John Lewis stores from Cambridge and Peterborough days so 35years + Then Cheltenham. Lots of grumpy middle aged women on the checkouts and customer services in Lockdown but allowances made but we were not so impressed by attitudes afterwards when everything opened up. Not really bothered about the pleasantries and especially an older grey haired guy: “ What am I doing here “type that I had to ask one day to at least say hello ( not Bob who restored faith) . Nina led the way on the check out being fantastic. One Supervisor had an attitude : she would deliberately take ages to come and veto the younger members on the tills when buying alcohol. Really frustrating and I did complain at one point as to whether the store wanted our money. Customer services much slower to be pleasant even though I have ordered hundreds of pounds worth of Croatian kuna to go to maintain a house on Hvar Island, however, what a change in the last months! Fantastic training in place for staff, super offers and courtesy now. Revitalised the shopping experience and cannot believe the change. Thank goodness for whatever has happened and management improvements!

Very enjoyable experience. Good offers. Very polite and helpful staff. Free coffee is back for people with a 'My Waitrose' card, Hooray 🙂.

Found what I needed, friendly staff, clean loos

Always a pleasure to visit a new Waitrose store. Only 4* though as the fresh bakery section was decimated with virtually no choice. It was before 1pm

The cashier was so lovely , very chatty asking us whether l had a good day .

Been going to this store about a month now, as I'm visiting the area. I as a "Black man" can't help but notice on a few occasions store employees following me into the aisles to watch solely me. I stopped shopping to confront the employee but another one came just in time and saved her the embarrassment (He must've known) I know this racist behavior as i was partially raised in Amerikkka. Please keep your ignorant employees in check or something that benefits humanity. Thanks in advance. NGA

Sehr schöner Laden mit hochwertigen Produkten. Viele Produkte sind Bio erhältlich. Ein Kaffe kann man ebenfalls vor Ort bestellen und geniessen. Parkplätze sind viele vorhanden.

Waitrose Cafe in Stroud alway polite good service and excellent fresh choice of food always worth a visit

I went to Waitrose this evening and the person that served me was very lovely. Woman behind me was hurling abuse at me countless times and you can check this by talking to th and you can check this by talking to the woman. Did you catch your name? Did you get her name is Show? Oh no, I somehow signed in and can’t. A woman who saw two teenage girls buying food. The person behind us was hurling abuse of the teenage girls, but more specifically one of them. I had to talk her out of a nervous breakdown on the way as she was feeling very unhappy. she almost smashed all of her food on the ground drop several glass cans against the wall. I’m feeling really upset and really ashamed at Waitrose for not to get rid of them, I don’t expect to have is held at me when walking into one of your shops.

Welcoming and extremely well stocked store with a mini John Lewis Department in there.

Great selection of fresh fruit and veg, large carpark but cafe was a bit dissapointing, not much choice for vegetarians and some items in the store were expensive compared to competitors

They had everything I needed and even though I did not have a MyWaitrose card the cashier told me how to get one online. My wife loves the jam donuts in the bakery section which sell out fast but we lucked out and picked up 4. Left 2 for someone else ;)

Superb choice of products as always... Any town we drive to across the UK, our first preference for grocery shopping is always a Waitrose if its located nearby... This one is quite centrally located in Stroud and quite easy to get to... Highly recommended.

Very dissatisfied. I’ve ordered 2 coffees and 2 halloumi burgers. Coffees were spilled by waitress and left like that on the table. Tissue not available. The burgers were brought without cutlery and no tissues available again. The portobello mushrooms were so watery that it was disgusting to eat. I always thought that waitrose is very passionate about client’s satisfaction but nope.

Great quality of food etc, with various price ranges to suit all pockets. Great products and friendly staff. Don't be put off by people who say it's expensive, just shop to a level you can afford.,even their cheaper ranges of food are of the best quality, you will be surprised.

I am quite upset about every visit I have at waitrose in Stroud I've never been arrested or stopped for theft from anywhere but every time I shop there I'm followed by short stocky security guard with red hair to the point that he has ran into me on the radio discribing me then I get 2-3 other staff members following me round making me very uncomfortable to the point sometimes were I'm so nervous and anxious that I have to just leave my basket and walk out with them following me out and drawing attention to me from other customers who give me judgemental and disgusted looks which is extremely upsetting at times when my mental health is at a low, I try to ignore them but it's very hard sometimes and other customers notice my escorts which is embarrassing, and even had friends and family targeted if they are with me and my son as well, and when I've asked why is the guard following me he either blanks me or trys to be more covert about his movements but is still blaitnly obvious, no one has ever stopped me and asked to search me or my bags in fact I've never been approached by any staff so does this infact border on harassment because this is the only shop this happens in, and I am writing this because its starting to impact my daily life and is a trigger for my mental health.

We clicked on the link and was told our order was ready but had to phone 25 mins later because nothing happened.

Cafe closes at 3. Disappointing when seeking an afternoon cuppa. No plastic bags available is fine if they actually had an alternative or if partners could lay their hands on a used one as their notices state. There were none.

Very polite helpful staff, some customers ruin the experience. Like most places these days, keeping good stocks is a challenge, but I was able to find most of what I needed, but there were some empty shelves.

I enjoy shopping at Waitrose. I come to buy things that I can't get from my very small local supermarket. I did a 70 mile trip every week in the first lockdown to shop for myself and an elderly relative. I have always found it a pleasant place to buy groceries. The staff are always really helpful. This shop I found a lady called Jane on the till, was really lovely and chatted to me. I don't go out very often and I like the fact that she chatted to me as she was scanning my shopping, and I was packing it. I had a drink in the cafe while waiting for my husband to come and pick me up. The staff were all happy and very pleasant. The supervisor who originally ushered me to Jane's till recognised me when I popped back in to get something that I had forgotten. He realised that I was looking for Jane's till and he explained that her shift had ended. I always visit your supermarket when I am in the area.

Lovely store with good selection, gets a bit cramped during rush though.

What a lovely visit today. First time my 81 year old Mum has been back in over a year. When we went through the checkout, she was given a beautiful bunch of flowers to welcome her back. Amazing customer service. Thank you Waitrose Stroud.

Amazing selection of everything from unique liqueurs, wines and spirits. Sushi counter and great range of spices, oils and condiments.

More expensive than other supermarkets but has great produce. Difficult to read the tiny labels on the shelves to know what things are.
