Visited here this morning around 10.30 for coffee and cookie both were good. Cafe wasn't busy but tables had not been wiped. Visited the ladies toilets to find they were not very clean and floor dirty wouldn't have expected this at this time of day. Saw a colleague come out of toilet so they must have been aware of this as she had put notice up that one was out of order. Very disappointing.

First time I have ever gone into a cafe only an hour or so after opening to find the choice is bacon roll or nothing. Given that the cafe is in Waitywith rolls, sausages and no end of other breakfast goods in their aisles, a pretty poor show. Staying 6 nights in the nearby Travelodge - 5 new venues for breakfast had to be found.

When for breakfast, thinking its Waitrose so should be good. My wife ordered the banana bread toast and I ordered eggs Benedict. We had finished our tea and coffee when the food arrived and it looked terrible. My wife had one extremely small slice of bread on a tea plate and my eggs were raw and looked a real mess. I took mine straight back to the counter. After about ten mins my food came back looking a bit better. On the first bite I noticed that something was sweet, it was the hollandaise sauce. I think the chef had added sugar to it but it made the whole thing uneatable. No apologies or refunds offered. Definitely do go these for breakfast!!!

I was staying in the adjacent Premier Inn and after a terrible meal in the Beefeater I was planning to grab a sandwich from the Waitrose store, but what a pleasant surprise to find a little cafe which was still serving hot food at 6pm. Friendly staff, great fish pie and good value for money. I would use Waitrose cafes again.

Modern cafe which was a bit more adventurous with the menu than many other of their cafes. Their full breakfast was nice but I a guess, the food was placed on a cold plate as everything was just warm rather than piping hot. The two sausages in particular were thick, only mildly warm inside and gave the impression of being undercooked although I presume they weren’t (writing this 2 day’s later with no adverse effects). The rest of the ingredients were also similar and bearing in mind, the food was delivered fairly quickly after being ordered, I don’t think it could have been lying around. My wife had the sausages too, but this time in a roll. Cutting them, they also looked undercooked and were only mildly warm. My daughter had the avocado which she was delighted with. Disappointing, I’m afraid and we decided to go elsewhere on our second day at the nearby Premier Inn.

Well run cafe with very polite and efficient staff. They offer a hot meal service until 7 pm. A short selection , all cooked to order. You may have to wait if they have already taken orders. One vegetarian and one carnivore were both happy with the filled brioche bun Tasty own brand coffee and a pot of herbal ness. It may be busy. I would eat here again , no surprises and a high standard of service , cleanliness and staff training. This is only my opinion based on service I received.

We are regular visitors, but seriously think this free coffee promotion should be ended. It's not actually free nowadays, and that's not a surprise as obviously this is proving a costly promotion to be continuing for so long. Nowadays you have to buy something from the selection on display to gain your free coffee. Which is fair enough. The cakes are generally very good, although you can chose a cheaper option of banana or a bag of small shortbread biscuits. However the temptation of "free" coffee also means nearly always long queues. Today, the service was incredibly slow and there seemed to be nobody in charge overseeing the staff. Several times the table next to us which was laden with used coffee cups and plates, was ignored by passing staff. It is rather hard to complain when your coffee is free but we don't feel the service is up to much nowadays. We also feel the whole business of making the coffee could be speeded up by having more staff on duty.

Small cafe in store which is popular for breakfast and light lunches. Hot food is cooked tos order so you might have a short wait but enjoy the coffee. Cakes should be chosen with care as some look a bit dry. Can recommend the eclairs and toasted teacakes as well as the filled flatbreads. Pleasant staff.

After reading some of the reviews, I was happily surprised. Great little place to catch a quick bite to eat. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Service was very good and staff were very polite. Caramel lattes are the best!

The sandwiches here are some of the most tasteless I have ever had, and are stuffed with watercress and not much else. The chicken sandwich consisted of 60% bread, 35% greens, 5% chicken. No flavour. The egg mayo sandwich had a bit more egg, but was still dominated by watercress. Again, no flavour. I agree with a previous reviewer - the tables stay piled with dirty crockery for far too long. Service at the counter is poor-long queues build up, and the staff are under pressure.

I ordered a simple soup & sandwich & was told to take a seat & food would arrive be right over.25 minutes later I had to ask where my order was, only to be told they forgot it with No apology.Upon receiving my food I asked for cutlery & was bluntly told its at the till..I found this very rude & unprofessional.I noticed the queue very slow moving throughout lunch period as the staff are not well trained & seem more concerned talking to each other. From now on il only shop here and get lunch elsewhere.

Making use of our Waitrose cards to get free coffee we again tried to have lunch with our grandchildren at the cafe at Waitrose, Newton Mairns. Again we were disappointed. Last time we had to wait over half an hour for part of our meal. This time they served us the meal for my wife and I without bringing out the meals for our grandchildren. There were no glasses for water, no teaspoons (they rummaged out back and found two), cutlery was dirty and tables not cleared. Staff seemed to wander around pointlessly without actually clearing tables. The food itself is average to poor. Salad is a few bits of lettuce and rocket with some whole tomatoes - no preparation and no dressings or offer of dressings. The place needs some management, improvements to service and the food.

We have tried this café at different times and different days but service is pretty much always the same: poor and so slow. " Cant give you a cup of tea just yet as all the teapots are in the dishwasher", or "you want some teaspoons?" Staff then have a rummage around back stage and produce 2 or 3 at a time or the missing sugar cubes or napkins - so frustrating. Food is just about all right - roast beef sandwiches over done with horseradish and smothered in very sweet onion relish - just all too much on what could be a decent lunch. The place is a filthy mess - recently a toilet cubicle door had fallen off and was propped up against a wall so only one other cubicle was available. Floors strewn with food that customers have dropped but staffs' eyes simply can't see anything and just walk past or through the debris. Tables piled high with dirty dishes - very slow clearing of tables and table tops wiped with a cloth and crumbs and any rubbish are then swept on to the chairs and the floor - and so the mess joins the rest of the uneaten food and napkins etc - yuk. Time for me to realise that some things will never get any better.

Worst shawarma I’ve ever had. I grew up with the best Lebanese/Middle Eastern food outside of the old country in Dearborn, Michigan. I enjoy pushing the envelope a bit with the cooks up King Street and Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, and while a bit greasy, that food is all right. Shawarma Boy? Man: you gotta grow up. It’s clear that the food is hanging on its laurels with jalapeños, chilli…and zero taste underneath. For £13 for a wrap and chips, I expect a lot more than a tiny wrap which was made wrong in the first place - not okay for someone to order food without stuff to then have half the junk on it...I mean, get it together. The worst chicken shawarma I’ve ever tasted in the entire world can be found at Shawarma Boy in the Barras - Calton, Glasgow at BAaD. It's awful. Avoid.

Thoroughly enjoyed home made soup and a delicious panini for my lunch followed by tea and biscuits. Didn't want big breakfast my hotel offered and the tea rooms bacon roll and excellent cuppa got my day of to a good start - 3 times. Found the staff very friendly. Sorry for other traveller who felt ignored must have been a one off.

Place is a shambles. No consistency whatsoever. Shut every time we visit. Ye phone to order and they to you use the app. The app doesn’t work. Their timings are all over the shot. What’s the point in having a shop if you’re never open or reliable. Local area needs a better roll shop pronto. Would make a killing.
