Another lovely old pub ruined by a modern makeover,gray paintjob(yawn,so characterless), boring modern lighting you'll see in every other new joint,it used to have nice skirting above the bar with actual Toby jugs,our pub history is fastly being eroded & you can't get it back.

Stood for twenty minutes to get served i politely asked for service to be greeted by 'pal I've others to serve , the pub where only interested in the front door side of bar very poor attitude and absolutely no customer care or interest

I left my phone in the toilet. Thankfully it got handed in and returned to me. It was really busy but staff still had time to check and verify. Best it gets Toby Jug.

If you're after a cosy, relaxed atmosphere and a cheap pint, look no further than the Toby Jug. Service was quick and and professional and they had a nice choice of drinks. £1.99 a pint is fantastic value and a big reason I'll be returning! Didn't eat food but it offered simple pub grub like pizza & burgers.

¡Siempre genial! Hemos venido a la jarra Toby muchas veces a lo largo de los años cuando estaba en Glasgow. Me encantan sus cócteles, especialmente el veneno. Teníamos algo de comida - yo tenía la hamburguesa, aunque me pareció el baño un poco demasiado difícil para mí. La otra mitad tenía un pastel de carne y le encantó absolutamente - dijo que la pastelería era perfecta. El personal es siempre amable y servicial

Toby Jug is a lovely, warm and friendly Glasgow city centre pub. A well run bar and the management and staff as so friendly especially Margaret. Kat and Lynsey. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They have such a good repore with old and new customers. Good pub grub. Would thoroughly recommend so close to the train station.

Apareció en una recomendación de Amigos con mi Hijo y su Amigo. Tomó asiento y vio el menú. Su hijo quería un bicho/papas fritas y su amigo una pizza. Me dijeron en el bar que no hacen "comidas principales" el fin de semana - qué raro. Mientras esperaba a ser servido, que fue un tiempo considerable - otro cliente se encuentra en el bar a mi izquierda y luego se sirve primero! Pregunté al individuo si alguna vez había oído hablar de hacer cola. 3 empleados en un pub que estaba muy ocupado por dentro y por fuera. Hijo y amigo compartieron la pizza, que parecía muy bueno. Entonces decidimos 3 platos laterales para compartir. Fui al bar, esperé y esperé. Mis Hijos Amigo y yo nos separamos para ver quién sería servido primero. El cliente frente a mí fue atendido, di un paso a un lado para dejarlo lejos del bar y en ese momento la persona detrás de mí saltó para tomar mi espacio. ¡Ignorante tal y cual! Luego fui a mi Hijo Amigo en otra área del bar y exclamé en voz alta que nos íbamos - personal inútil del bar que no tenía ni idea de quién iba a ser el siguiente servido y frecuentado por una lluvia de ignorantes tal y cual. ¡Nunca más pondré un pie dentro de él! - desearía que nunca nos hubiéramos preocupado por el lugar.

The Toby Jug, was a Decent pub before, but I visited recently and, man had changed, in terms of atmosphere, staff friendliness and what not, make you feel uncomfortable/welcome unless your regular, shouldn't be the case in a city centre pub or bar, so probably be another good while, before I'm back in there, unless it changes for better,

Great pub, good beer and food, plus cheap for city centre bar. If you are posh avoid it, otherwise enjoy this Great pub.

Absolute rip off of a pub. £5 for 1 bottle of Miller. £for a single J D and coke. Avoid if you want your moneys worth. The locals around here call the street Hopeless Street instead of its proper name of Hope Street that says it all really.

Non alcohol more expensive than alcohol not good

OK, firstly it's a decent pub with a good atmosphere. But seriously how can the management think having someone in a toilet pimping cheap toiletries and handing out paper towels for tips is a good business idea? I've seen this in Spain and Greece but never in Scotland. That together with the miserable bar staff who look like they'd like to be anywhere but serving customers makes me wonder who owns this pub and why they allow such low standards in a customer oriented industry to exist. Not a good look for Glasgow - must do better.

Call in on a Tuesday afternoon with friends before the football drinks and service was great . Staff were all very friendly and quick and clearing the table of glasses .Very good prices and when I am in town will call in again Thanks

Me and my boyfriend were wanting to go for my birthday. He said he has been there before as he enjoyed it. However, when we got asked for id we both showed our drivers licences and she would not except his as he looked “too young”. He had bank card, student card and pictures, phone settings. He has never had this problem before. Very disappointed that they wouldn’t accept an ID that is NOT out of date. He is 20 😭. She was very rude which put me off ever going back there.

The 2£ pints were really nice however the food was horrible. The veggie burger had a pattie and tomato, no sauce or cheese. There was some white sauce in the mac and cheese which didn’t taste good. The service was nice and we were checked on multiple times. I would stick to drinks and appetizers if I were you.

Good atmosphere, right across from central station.

How times have changed I use to go in the Toby jug on a Friday and Saturday, but when I went in the bar had hand pulled ale but it looks like the real ale as gone and the pub is now a fizz pub that only sells fizzy beer ie gas filled beer. But I haven't been in the Toby jug for well over 11 years now but I don't drink alcohol now due to serious health issues. But I do miss drinking in the Toby jug

This is a proper Glasgow boozer. Don't be fooled by the small exterior, this place is pretty big inside. Full of brilliant characters and staff who really do make you smile when you talk to them. Service is wonderful and quick given how busy this place is all the time. Why is it so busy? Because the bar is priced excellently. Range of cheap and expensive beers, jugs of fun cocktails and well priced food to help you soak up all that drinking. Long may the Toby Jug last, it's a proper Glasgow institution. Given the area it's in (previously commented on this nasty bit of town in and around central station) I've never a whiff of trouble in the bar or outside it. Note to tourists: if you want to drink like a local then pop in here for a couple and strike up a chat with someone. I'm sure you will be feeling like Glasgow is your home town in no time.

Had a pint of water and a pint of K... Lovely Pub very cool and dark... Nice place for cheeky dates... Marble Tables are beAutAys+... Nice chill ombionse... needed wan just to relax... last one of the week I swear! Mondays are my fav day of the week... so quiet mostly... few wee cackles and O'Gradys but apart from that very cool... 🤓

Nice pub opposite Glasgow Central Station. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly and welcoming. Surprised how cheap it was for drinks. A pint of Carlsberg was £1.99 (Monday lunchtime).

City centre boozer near a main railway station. Not bad for a quick pint, and the staff are friendly but there's probably better places not that far away.

THE pub of Glasgow. Super-friendly atmosphere, £1 Heinekens, sit down and chat to the guy next to you about how cheap the Heineken is. They got a smoking section outside, but inside is where the magic happens.

Fun and affordable. Bit loud but hey it's a city centre. Liked the pizza. Came quick. Beer was good, sone very good offers at 1.99 per pint. Staff very friendly.

Rough as a badgers you know what. Went in for quick pint. Kicked off Glasgow style glasses flying about. Daft lasses standing in a bra and jeans set two guys against each other. Toilet was third world. Karaoke was drunken uncle style, not horseshoe bar pro style.

Brilliant place to start and finish a night out in Glasgow, before and after getting the train at Central.

A rare pub in the center of Glasgow where you can get lovely food & pints served by excellent staff at good prices. 10/10 will make it my regular pub stop in Glasgow.

We had arranged to meet friends there, and was very pleasantly surprised with the service, my wife had a Strawberry Daiquiri , which she said was very nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful so we were really pleased with our visit!!

Had a lunch platter,chips,chicken straps,and vegetable pakora, it was 12.95p thought it was a bit over priced 10 pounds would have been right price as it was just a small portion between two. But the drink price was very good 1.99p for a pint of carlsberg will go back, also the staff are lovely.

Young boy wit the dark brown hair. Think he was new. Really good customer service. Liked the lady that was a bit older too with the blonde hair. Really nice staff and the booze is reasonable prices. Cheers xxx
