The Crystal Palace in Glasgow City

Love wetherspoos but this one is useless for its coffee machines ,always out of order or only one working meaning big queues.

Really nice bar toilets upstairs and close which was amazing to us. The food was great and price was excellent. Lovely atmosphere.

Quick and easy, really nice food and the staff were really nice,keeping the place clean and tidy even when it was busy!

It's not the best Spoons around. Bar service was slower than a week in jail. Food is Spoons food, the same as all spoons.

I went for a pint, no tables free, so I bar propped. I was told to move down the bar after about 10 mins, and when asked why, I got no answer. Eventually, I was told I was in front of a till, there's numerous tills along this bar!!! This is a bar with a long bar, for people to order from. I was accused of making an issue and the female, (for want of a known pronoun) informed me that if a table was available, I would have been told to sit down!!! Who the hell does this female thinks she is, what authority does she think she has to order me to sit at a table?? I did not cause a scene, because it's obviously had some of the pint of bought, I just said right, OK, drank and left! I won't be back if this is the kind of reception all can look forward to! I wondered why a generation reaches for their phones to video all, now I know why, and from this day forth, I will look to video such shame faced interactions, disgusting, she should be sacked. Surely this cannot be the ethos of this company??

Very busy , served very quickly, though . Great range of food and drink

Nipped in for a few pre gig drinks and though the place was heaving with folk we still managed to get served within 5 mins, didn't have food so can't rate that but atmosphere was pretty decent despite the lack of background music.

Good wetherspoons, conveniently located

Lovely place...so convenient as next to Central station and other pubs/restraints nearby.

Great prices. I was saddened when I arrived to find that this palace is not made of crystal. Even the tennents lager glasses are not made of crystal. And they don't even sell crystal champagne.

A busy pub at times, very handy for Glasgow being just of Argyle street. Staff try their hardest to serve quickly at busy times. Food is a good standard and not overpriced.

Popped in for breakfast before catching train down south. Recommend the Miners Benedict.

Quick visit before going to theatre It was very quiet

Spacious place not far from Central Station . The order was brought quickly but I was little upset that my shawarma was very spicy, I would like to try the meat non-spicy version of shawarma. I was with a friend on a weekday during lunch there was a lot of free space and not noisy. We chose a seat by the window to enjoy the views.

Bobby's margarita was surprisingly delicious!! Cheap, tasty beer and drinkable prosecco. Clean and warm in the food. Nice they have vegan dishes.

Pretty good spoons as far as spoons go. Good atmosphere, massive windows perfect for people watching. Quick, friendly service. Less crowded than Counting House

bouncer refused me entry on saturday evening because ‘i had a very irish accent for a polish person’ therefore he assumed the passport i entered the country with was fake. don’t know how that’s allowed but definitely go here if you want to be discrimated. no other pub in glasgow had any issue with my id just this one lad

got let in the day before and the next day we showed up stone cold sober and he refused us because we are lithuanian and polish straight up asked us if we were then told us no after we said yes

Popped into Crystal Palace after some shopping in Glasgow. Pub was busy with a friendly atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a chicken tikka masala, and Liz had the plant based BBQ burger. Curry was brilliant, excellent value for money. Liz said the burger was nice but wouldn't get it again,however, it is still good value for the money. Both came with an alcoholic drink, non alcoholic option available. Thoroughly recommend, excellent value for the money,staff great and a good atmosphere, yiu can't go wrong.

Only discovered this Wetherspoons a couple of weeks ago while in the city for a gig at The Hydro. Normally would have gone to Sir John Moore when at that side of the city but think I've found a new favourite. Really nice atmosphere and service. Situated in a beautiful building too with the oldest lift in the country I think... A wee step back in time.

Not good at all,we both ordered the Xmas turkey dinner & one arrived with no gravy & 2 members of staff refused us to get some,the bar man gave me a small wine when I paid for a large he was asking the price of the coke when it was included with the meal,then was told we should of not eaten the meal missing the gravy,so rude members of staff!!!

Absolutely awful . Service poor, food awful , drinks yuck . Never again . Stayed 1 hr then left .

rude staff, bad and horrible service. i was standing in line to order drinks, these 2 guys came in after me but she let them order drinks before me, i told her i was here in line first, and she told me “i don’t care”???

Busy place food normal for a spoons. Staff looked unhappy at work, table was dirty on arrival when asked to be wiped before our food arrived the shift leader basically rolled her eyes at us & went & got spray & a cloth, & asked sarcastically if that was okay!

My first time at a JD Wetherspoon - the unique location was fun, but my fish & chips and fries tasted old, dry, and flavorless. The peas also were not great. But I got to try an Irn Bru finally! And they get points for the convenience of late hours.

For a Spoons it's brilliant. Upstairs, Friday night, quite busy, decent prices and table service. Staff are always good and friendly.

"I recently visited Wetherspoon, and the outside security guard, a Black man, asked me if I was working there, which I found very disrespectful. Who gave him the right to judge a person based on their appearance or clothes? I'm a student, and I have a very busy life. It was completely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. He claimed that he asks everyone this question, but how is that acceptable? Last week, when I visited, they stopped us from bringing outside food, which is understandable. But this time, questioning someone's appearance or complexion was intentional and unacceptable. I request that action be taken against this individual. His behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Food is always nice and good sized portions. Always busy. Good atmosphere even though there is no music.

Came one day for breakfast/brunch. The food quality was about what you would expect from a Wetherspoons tbh. One of the plates we got was dirty though so... Also we got free refills of our drinks which was nice!

Busy meeting place not far from the Clyde. Nicely decorated and kitted out on the ground floor, plenty of room to meet up and sample the decent ales on offer, too many to mention here. Typical spoons tbh. But busy even on a week day so that tells you all you need to know. Upstairs feels like a grand school eating hall. BTW toilets are...upstairs of course.

Nipped in for a breakfast on the way to the catch train home from a night out. Was fun using the app. food was okay, just not warm enough for me. Coffee out the machine was tepid too. Maybe I was just unlucky on the day.

Typical Weatherspoons pub. Despite being 20+ years old it's wearing very well. Moderately busy, you can still easily find a table here.

What a beautiful, architecturally important building. Well restored and used to maximise its design.

Out of all the whetherspoons in Glasgow City Centre this one always has staff with a good attitude. Also the food although the same in every bar in the chain, is prepared with a little thought unlike some of the others in town that look as if they have been thrown from the other side of a large room in a bowl on the other side then served with a this as the plate hits the table. The staff here are totally different, making it a bar you want to return to. I have been again recently and still the best Whetherspoon in Glasgow

Totally disappointed with this place to start wee did find a table but customers before us so still had their drinks and rubbish on table, sat there for ten minutes making our order online nobody came to clean table, drinks came pretty fast but had to ask guy to clean our table all he took was one glass and one bottle left rubbish and two glasses,so when he came with food asked again to have table cleaned (I'm still waiting) before we eat, talk about disappointment on a burger couldn't believe this was an American burger some onions and sauce and small amount of chips not an American burger I would buy again, oh yes has to pay nearly £7.00 for this then had to pay £1.97 for a thin slice of cheese. then had to go and chase up my onion rings, think I would rather give McDonald's my money for a burger far superior than the one I had at crystal palace such a disappointment 🤨🤨

For value for money and a decent breakfast range this is the place for you. Decent ales and beers as well as tea and coffee.

Toilets need a bit of attention , no soap & blocked toilets.

It is a very nice place, where you can eat something and have a hot or cold drink quietly and at very reasonable prices. The attention of the very friendly staff. And the food tastes very good. I really liked the taste of the burger and especially the fries. I recommend it.

Good old spoons - poor quality for low prices

It's a whetherspoon :) we worked from there and had late breakfast. It's right next to the station so it's very convenient. Not many people around in the morning and it's very quiet, so in a way it's a lot more convenient to work there rather than in a cafe.

We had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks and whilenmost spoons are the same itnwas away from the city center so a bit quieter and this more enjoyable.

JDW is the place if you are on a budget. Lokal beer on gap. Good app for order and finding the location.

Efficient Spoons with good selection of real ales at a bargain price.

A very pleasant place and much quieter that the John Moor not far from pleasant walks along the north side of the River Clyde.it seems to have its regulars and is not as busy as other Wetherspoons in Glasgow but that is not to say it has any lower a service nor effort you would get and expect from the Wetherspoons brand.For those who enjoy a quieter less hectic type of atmosphere,this is certainly a nice pit stop for those needing sustinance travelling around a city with many worthy places to visit throughout.

A very Lively place...really Great to see that in itself....Was very Impressed with the Bar Service and the Food....We were on Holiday, and wanted something Decent to Eat....before we caught our Afternoon Train ( went pear 🍐 Shaped) to London, as the options are very Limited and very Drab..on the Train.... So we both ordered the same Thing...it was very Good Service, the Food Looked really Appertising and was Hot..... (BELIEVE ME) The Wetherspoons...down this END OF THE COUNTRY....Need to TAKE A GOOD LOOK, at how things are Done in this PARTICULAR WETHERSPOONS....it's not COMPARABLE...fair enough ( I will hear ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY) as this isn't TOP END Dinning.... I love Wetherspoons but some are better than others! I love some of the original features on this place & they keep it spruced up (even painted a bit while we were there) Food & drink is the usual JD standard & prices are unbelievably low! Got really really busy on the Saturday but still managed to find a table
