Very large Weatherspoon Pub. Unfortunately a bit loud and uncomfortable due to its size. The advantage of the size is that you can almost always find a place.

Magnificent Wetherspoon, one of the most beautiful in Glasgow. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the servers are quickly available. Wetherspoons are the ideal and inexpensive solution for a drink with students, friends or to share a meal. The service can sometimes be long but for the price and the atmosphere it is really very good. If you don't want to take the hassle of choosing a place to drink or eat, wetherspoon is the solution!

It's a Spoons. Service is generally quick, food is cheap and edible (or close enough). Staff are really nice and should probably be being paid more.

I got insanely ill for 5 days after eating here! Some family and I went upstairs to eat and the whole place is incredibly dirty. We sat at a window seat and I had a burger, no one else had food. Within 20 mins of leaving I was so ill I couldn’t go to work and had to go home and sleep. There I stayed with extreme nausea and sickness for 5 days. I can only say that it was the shameful dirtiness of the place that caused this. The place needs a deep clean

Typical Weather Spoons. No character. Tables all the same in straight lines. Went in to get out of the rain. And, did not serve alcohol until 11am!

"Bouncers" (professional bullies) ruin the whole experience

Again another fabulous building but defo looks better from the outside side! It is a shame the lift doesn't work with it being one of the oldest in the world.

Very good and friendly service also great and atmosphere is superb. Also the fish chips mushy peas is brilliant nice and hot all the time. There is not much more to add fish and chips mushy peas are gr8. Another week another day another fish and chips still the same service and quality. This is now November and the small fish and chips are braw just like we got them a few months ago. The staff are still as friendly gr8 atmosphere. It's now January 2024 and the service is still fabulous. This time we had chicken nuggets my wife had a children's portion. I asked them to make them hot because it was for a adult and change the knife and fork from a child to adult. Which they did no problem I had boneless chicken nuggets which was braw as we'll. It is now good Friday holiday weekend. My wife and I went in and the both of us this time had one chicken nuggets chips the other one was chicken stripes and chips. Both were superb hot and service was excellent as normal even all though it was very busy.

Great boozer in central Glasgow, and the staff I chatted with were great too. Would return!

Very chilly had to move seats as air con on. Pretty boring no atmosphere just folk hanging around dodging the rain.

Friendly place. Good pub grub. Haggis and cheese panini was lovely. Was only in for a short time, but enjoyed it 😊

Very busy and very noisy with some people being unable to have a conversation without it being at the top of their voice - very annoying but otherwise ok. Very cold upstairs

Irn bru was warm, flat and rancid tasting. Staff seemed a bit pissed that they had to do their job. Besides that the place has a nice atmosphere and is located conveniently. Will be coming back because I just can't help myself

Ordered drinks and never got them went to bar and got a refund and asked to leave!!!! Avoid at all cost!!!

A Wetherspoons just outside glasgow central. Good place to have a pint on and off the train.

ordered a wee NON- alcoholic drink as i hadn’t my ID out with me and a girl that worked there comes over and asked for both my friend and mines ID and i had told her that i didn’t have it.. she takes the NON- alcoholic drink off of me and away she went then we asked her for a pepsi as she was walking away and didn’t bring it to me, can drink a pepsi but can’t drink a NON alcoholic drink.

Good and service okay but not great

It's your typical spoons, loud voices no music but as we went early afternoon we managed to get a table. By the time we were leaving at half 2 the place was filling up like it normally does. Food is dreadful though, I'd choose a happy meal over their burger and chips any day. Same standard of food just more expensive.

Good wetherspoons, exactly what to expect in a spoons. Excellent variety as always. I was however slightly overcharged for a drink however the friendly service made up for the mistake, and I didn't mind. Would definitely recommend. Very reasonable

Great place pop in for reasonable drink and food

It's a spoons. For those who don't know, it means food that's good, not great, but it does the job, it's cheap, the atmosphere is fun and lively, and the bar has everything.

Very nice pub located near Central Station & mcdonald's. Friendly encounter with Jay who was working the door. Real ale for £2.80 in the city centre, bargain!

Usually go to the counting house but discovered crystal palace came out of wrong exit from central station

No table service. Order via online app. Food was terrible - burgers dry and inedible. Staff doesn't ask if it tastes good. That says it all. :-( NEVER AGAIN

The food was disastrous. The peas were only cooked in hot water without salt, the baked potato had apparently been left hot for hours and the steak was completely tasteless.

Ordered a double burger. Couldn't believe the size of the buggers. There are very, very small and 8 chips on my plate couldn't believe it.

Just a drink, venue a bit tired. Didn't eat. We did years ago. You order from bar so no real service. Tremendous value though. Cheap and cheerful

Great place I visited last year, was staying in a hotel on the Clyde.. the W. Spoons was siuch great value for money & staff & atmosphere very good.

Went for breakfast on a Friday morning. Place was very busy and lots of tables Wii dirty plates. Went to sit on high stools tables to by told by a staff member “before you make yourselves comfortable under 18s aren’t allowed on high seats.” I would have left but we were on a tight schedule so stayed. We ended up having to clear plates of a table ourselves. The menus were sticky and overall the place felt dirty. We ordered different breakfasts. My beans & bacon were lukewarm. I’m not a fan of Wetherspoons as I hate chained restaurants but I expect to have been given a decent breakfast. We ate breakfast in the Sir John Moore Wetherspoons the day before and it was so much better. I would not be back here.

I love Wetherspoons but nearly £18 for 8oz steak, chips, egg, peas and drink is a wee bit unspoons! My local pub offers something similar for two for £40? And the pepper sauce was pretty awful…would I go back? Absolutely! But pre-warned is pre-armed. Love spoons

Classic wetherspoons, xlnt selection of beers. Barman brought my Blue Moon as he had to change the barrel. Great service.

Never been disappointed with the ale in here nor the spacious, airy building. A fitting place to bid farewell to Glasgow before boarding the 🚂 from the Central Station above.

Mostly always busy and has a good friendly atmosphere. Speedy service using the app. Speedier than queueing at the bar. I recommend the Doom Bar! Fish and chips is always great if you're looking for a quick, tasty and reasonably priced meal too. Breakfasts are excellent too!

Great place to meet for food and drinks, central location, very big and plenty of seating. Food is great for what it is, it's pub grub and it's done well. The weatherspoons app makes things so much easier and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Witherspoon is a lottery, sometimes good, and other times very poor . No matter the establishment in my experience.

Was there Friday night with my friend.. we wanted a fish and chips with a pint.. great we thought Wetherspoons are ideal... We headed to crystal Palace in centre of Glasgow.. I've been in many Spoons.. my local is Esquire in Anniesland So we got there.. got a table right away at 5.30 pm.. we both had the app but wifi was poor soy mate went to bar after checking the menu and order for table 21.. To our disappointment.. no fish.. 5.30pm on a Friday night shocking.. We then decided on Wiltshire ham chips eggs ,and mushy peas as I have had this before and always nice.. we waited at our table.. pints arrived.. then dinner came. We looked at our plate then looked at each other. Two cheap thin slices of some crap processed horrible gammon or spam or whatever it was.. it was vile.. will never eat again in this place..

Cheap, cheap, cheap. £2.72 a pint. Bring it on.

Was in this morning 8/1/2024 for the first ever time was out for my annual birthday breakfast with my partner and had my youngest son with us. I had a big breakfast and my partner had one of the other breakfast think it was the traditional breakfast if thats what its called anyway the place was rrally quite maybe 10 people in includeing ourselfs the food arrived cold after waiting about 10 minutes for it hardly seen a staff member around. Got myself a latte while waiting for our breakfasts to arrive which wasnt very warm tbh. I know the coffes are usually piping hot but not this time. My usual go to place for breakfast is the counting house witch is also a weatherspoons but we where that cold we just wanted to go somewhere that was close to us to get a heat especially since we had our 1 year old son. Wont ever be going back in there again

Me and My Husband came to visit Family but we was staying at the clayton Hotel round the corner Visited here while away Tuesday- Friday me and my Husband came wed - Friday for breakfast and it was above and beyond I asked for no mushroom and replaced with extra hash browns and extra sauage and it was amazing We also got limted latte / Hot Chocolate Staff were amazing ,

Easy to order on the app, food and drinks were brought quickly and the serving staff were excellent.

Typical Wetherspoons. Old building with loads of history. Staff were nice, food was great. Had the breakfast with haggis on the side, which was a first for me, but it was amazing!

I took my friend iut for his Christmas lunch..please don't go here ...the dinner came no roast potatoes no Brussels sprouts no stuffing too ...it is the worst Christmas lunch I have ever had .SO PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE RATHER THAN HERE PEOPLE .

Went for lunch got Christmas lunch . Rubber carrots . Turkey slice 4 out of a boil in bag . Mash spuds still hard potato. No stuffing . Got after complaing stake chips . Not cooked proper . Med rear but think it was rare . Please don't go to this place for food . AS ITS A BOIL IN BAG CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Wetherspoons is known for being the place to get your cocktail picture so when they, on 2 separate occasions now, have turned round to say they are unable to serve the cocktail pitchers is very disappointing. Measurements should be the same regardless of ice (which I'm guessing was the issue?) Staff weren't the most friendly when it came to taking orders; made me feel like an idiot for asking for items they recently ran out of (a recurring theme of it being under prepared). When asked to suggest a similar alternative they said "just look at the menu" then served other people.

Was absolutely mobbed when I went in lol got ID at the door despite being 36 😎 managed to get a table and ordered drinks and food expecting a wait but arrived within 15 minutes and obviously freshly made. Beautiful 😍. Staff were great

Had a highlander burger with whiskey sauce. It was awful. I very rarely complain about food however this was not nice at all. My son had the same and he is happy with most foods and he also could not eat it as it was awful.

Mad busy. Our food came before our drinks. But we did get a table upstairs so it's worth looking up there if downstairs is full. This was on a Friday night around 5pm. Always use the App to order - it's a lot quicker. Bars were 3 deep in people.

A couple of pints after the Glenn Hughes gig. Good prices but service is slow so I ordered 2 pints at a time. A quick pint on my way home after the Extreme gig at the O2 Academy.

Our food was fast hot and plentiful, the atmosphere was very poor with many dirty tables piled high with used dishes and rubbish over flowing,the table behind us was not cleared the whole time we were in the pub hence low star rating.

i mean. its spoons. Plate was dirty with my food on it. food was bad. £7 for dinner and a drink but man... at what cost.
