My first time at a JD Wetherspoon - the unique location was fun, but my fish & chips and fries tasted old, dry, and flavorless. The peas also were not great. But I got to try an Irn Bru finally! And they get points for the convenience of late hours.

For a Spoons it's brilliant. Upstairs, Friday night, quite busy, decent prices and table service. Staff are always good and friendly.

"I recently visited Wetherspoon, and the outside security guard, a Black man, asked me if I was working there, which I found very disrespectful. Who gave him the right to judge a person based on their appearance or clothes? I'm a student, and I have a very busy life. It was completely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. He claimed that he asks everyone this question, but how is that acceptable? Last week, when I visited, they stopped us from bringing outside food, which is understandable. But this time, questioning someone's appearance or complexion was intentional and unacceptable. I request that action be taken against this individual. His behavior was extremely rude and disrespectful, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Food is always nice and good sized portions. Always busy. Good atmosphere even though there is no music.

Busy meeting place not far from the Clyde. Nicely decorated and kitted out on the ground floor, plenty of room to meet up and sample the decent ales on offer, too many to mention here. Typical spoons tbh. But busy even on a week day so that tells you all you need to know. Upstairs feels like a grand school eating hall. BTW toilets are...upstairs of course.

Came one day for breakfast/brunch. The food quality was about what you would expect from a Wetherspoons tbh. One of the plates we got was dirty though so... Also we got free refills of our drinks which was nice!

Nipped in for a breakfast on the way to the catch train home from a night out. Was fun using the app. food was okay, just not warm enough for me. Coffee out the machine was tepid too. Maybe I was just unlucky on the day.

Out of all the whetherspoons in Glasgow City Centre this one always has staff with a good attitude. Also the food although the same in every bar in the chain, is prepared with a little thought unlike some of the others in town that look as if they have been thrown from the other side of a large room in a bowl on the other side then served with a this as the plate hits the table. The staff here are totally different, making it a bar you want to return to. I have been again recently and still the best Whetherspoon in Glasgow

Totally disappointed with this place to start wee did find a table but customers before us so still had their drinks and rubbish on table, sat there for ten minutes making our order online nobody came to clean table, drinks came pretty fast but had to ask guy to clean our table all he took was one glass and one bottle left rubbish and two glasses,so when he came with food asked again to have table cleaned (I'm still waiting) before we eat, talk about disappointment on a burger couldn't believe this was an American burger some onions and sauce and small amount of chips not an American burger I would buy again, oh yes has to pay nearly £7.00 for this then had to pay £1.97 for a thin slice of cheese. then had to go and chase up my onion rings, think I would rather give McDonald's my money for a burger far superior than the one I had at crystal palace such a disappointment 🤨🤨

For value for money and a decent breakfast range this is the place for you. Decent ales and beers as well as tea and coffee.

It is a very nice place, where you can eat something and have a hot or cold drink quietly and at very reasonable prices. The attention of the very friendly staff. And the food tastes very good. I really liked the taste of the burger and especially the fries. I recommend it.

Good old spoons - poor quality for low prices

It's a whetherspoon :) we worked from there and had late breakfast. It's right next to the station so it's very convenient. Not many people around in the morning and it's very quiet, so in a way it's a lot more convenient to work there rather than in a cafe.

We had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks and whilenmost spoons are the same itnwas away from the city center so a bit quieter and this more enjoyable.

Cheap and cheerful, quick service

A very pleasant place and much quieter that the John Moor not far from pleasant walks along the north side of the River Clyde.it seems to have its regulars and is not as busy as other Wetherspoons in Glasgow but that is not to say it has any lower a service nor effort you would get and expect from the Wetherspoons brand.For those who enjoy a quieter less hectic type of atmosphere,this is certainly a nice pit stop for those needing sustinance travelling around a city with many worthy places to visit throughout.

A very Lively place...really Great to see that in itself....Was very Impressed with the Bar Service and the Food....We were on Holiday, and wanted something Decent to Eat....before we caught our Afternoon Train ( went pear 🍐 Shaped) to London, as the options are very Limited and very Drab..on the Train.... So we both ordered the same Thing...it was very Good Service, the Food Looked really Appertising and was Hot..... I love Wetherspoons but some are better than others! I love some of the original features on this place & they keep it spruced up (even painted a bit while we were there) Food & drink is the usual JD standard & prices are unbelievably low! Got really really busy on the Saturday but still managed to find a table

Typical Wetherspoons but more expensive than most.Anyways just back from it again.My mate who is a bit simple and loud age 59.went too bar too get 2 pints...Too drunk said barman after....he had 2.5 pints elsewhere total.Went too other wetherpoons round the corner...he ordered 2 pints...no problem at all.Wont be back

We first intended to go to mcsorelys but there doorman was on a power trip and wouldn't let our party of 8 (which included a pregnant woman) in, so we sat in the corner window and ordered round after round and had a great time making sure he could see us, then he cycled off with his battery powered bike (no much of a doorman canna even cycle a bike). Spoons is always good. And there door staff and bar staff where friendly.

Burger and Chips at a Great Price

The chefs couldnt boil water and the staff is passive aggressive and rude. They gave me a well done steak and tried to argue it was rare as was ordered. They rolled their eyes and were sighinf and moaning.

Went for a breakfast before train, the service was super fast but the speed did not affect the quality. The food was super yummy

I usually find that Wetherspoons are sometimes a hit or miss with food. We went here for breakfast and found it not very good. Firstly, the mug I was given for coffee was dirty and had to be replaced. We got a large breakfast and Miners benedict. The breakfast had the mushrooms missing and the eggs were pretty poor.

Nicely converted from big shop to pub

I go to this pub frequently for lunch but the sitting area upstairs is always cold. If was particularly cold today I had to put my coat back on to eat my lunch.

Very good and friendly service also great and atmosphere is superb. Also the fish chips mushy peas is brilliant nice and hot all the time. There is not much more to add fish and chips mushy peas are gr8. Another week another day another fish and chips still the same service and quality. This is now November and the small fish and chips are braw just like we got them a few months ago. The staff are still as friendly gr8 atmosphere. It's now January 2024 and the service is still fabulous. This time we had chicken nuggets my wife had a children's portion. I asked them to make them hot because it was for a adult and change the knife and fork from a child to adult. Which they did no problem I had boneless chicken nuggets which was braw as we'll. It is now good Friday holiday weekend. My wife and I went in and the both of us this time had one chicken nuggets chips the other one was chicken stripes and chips. Both were superb hot and service was excellent as normal even all though it was very busy. It get nearer to the FairFriday in a couple of weeks. My wife and I had chicken nuggets in a basket with chips. Again they fabulous the chicken nuggets taste gr8 and the service was excellent like before in the past. I see that Linda our usual waitresses was not on today maybe day off or on holiday. The waitresses that service us was just as gr8 and helpful. Keep up the gr8 work your all are doing.

Not the most welcoming wetherspoons, smell of people smoking blowing in from outside everytime someone comes in or goes out, kinda dingy feeling.

Had the chicken bites, sat with friends. I have a few friends that do not drink alcohol, and we had agreed to sit in the restaurant, not bar area and neither would order drinks, however we were not allowed to do so as my friend did not have valid id, and so she was not allowed in at all. This is understandable, just would recommend to families with teenage children they may encounter similar. Food was amazing, flavourful and just the thing for a nice sunny day, a few cocktail pitchers for those of us drinking alcohol just made it all, ended up sitting outside. Despite it being a non smoking area, people still smoked, just barely outside of the barriers. It was a little unpleasant.

You get what you pay for, friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Great atmosphere when quiet, not the best place when it's full and you can hardly hear yourself think, personally think there should be more bar staff allocated upstairs on busier nights. Glad that Wetherspoons now has an order at your Table app as it saves you from standing around for ages.

In all my years of working in hospitality, the disrespect of staff and lack of customer service is shocking, even other wetherspoons locations have some common decency. Avoid this place at all cost, only use credit cards so when they mess up orders and dont deliver you have the ability to get your money back. Half the time the staff dont know what is going on, please give them some decent training.

I quite like it here, it's not bad for a cheap n cheerful! Wd love to see something fresh on the menu, but hey it's decent pub grub. Not many toilets for the size of it and the coffee machines always seem to be out of milk when I go to use them. Staff seem nice tho and definitely worth a visit for a budget lunch or dinner.

I found this bar/pub really great for family dinners. Somehow had pints for under 2 pounds. The view was also amazing.

Just a box standard wetherspoons

Unfortunately, this is, without a doubt, the worst Wetherspoons I've visited. Disorganised staff and subpar management. Don't bother ordering through the app, either. They won't mark it as sold out if they're out of the brew you selected. Instead, they'll tell you to order something else and request a refund. I was in contact with the manager as I was out about £20, and they just stopped communicating. I'll update this if it ever gets resolved, but it's been some time, and I doubt I'll hear back from them.

My daughter and I stopped off here for a small glass of wine and were gobsmacked that they only cost £1.85 each!! It was a decent Pinot Grigio too.

You know what you get with a Wetherspoons. Located in a fantastic building, food is as good as any other 'spoons. Service from the staff was excellent.

The whole family went there was plenty space for all and very accommodating and friendly staff. The kids loved colouring in and the kids menu we had a lovely meal as always.

Had lunch here and it was well priced and tasty. Well it is pub grub ! The only let down was the clearing of the tables after people had ate or after they left.

Very large Weatherspoon pub. Unfortunately a bit loud and uncomfortable due to its size. The advantage of the size is that you can almost always find a place.

Magnificent Wetherspoon, one of the most beautiful in Glasgow. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the servers are quickly available. Wetherspoons are the ideal and inexpensive solution for a drink with students, friends or to share a meal. The service can sometimes be long but for the price and the atmosphere it is really very good. If you don't want to take the hassle of choosing a place to drink or eat, wetherspoon is the solution!

It's a Spoons. Service is generally quick, food is cheap and edible (or close enough). Staff are really nice and should probably be being paid more.
