I arrived at 4:30 hoping for a nice sandwich and cup of tea. The tea was fine. I ordered a toasted sandwich which looked good on the plate but turned out to be toasted on one side only. Why? I then looked for a table. 2 were occupied so lots of choice but not one was clean. I opted for the least crumby and unseated one. I stayed for 45 minutes and the tables remained untouched by Waitrose staff. Very poor.

Called for breakfast. The food was very nice. Really like the sourdough toast. The coffee was very good too. Not a large selection but enough. You need to spend £5 or more to get your parking money back!

Real shame that having built up a good cafe over last few years they now fail to honour their published offers.

It's a supermarket, for this, it's fine. When you are shopping with kids, it can be very helpful, the coffee isn't great though.

A basic selection of snacks and drinks but good quality. Not the most competitively priced but tasty....

we stopped for some lunch but the choice is really limited. We ordered a bacon sandwich and it was just heated in the microwave, not fresh cooked food. I guess a cake and coffee is ok but not a venue for lunch for us.

Friendly staff and good selection of pasties and cakes. It's a favorite stop for my son who has been enjoying a babychino and gingerbread man here since he was 18 months old. The Waitrose Card also helps :-)

The shop is very well laid out, with plenty of room to get around. The cafe is a welcome sight ,to relax with either a snack or a cake with your coffee or ( tea ) good service and good choice of snacks

Rubbish choice, microwaved bacon and egg bun and very thin tea cake. Poor choice of anything else. Not up to usual Waitrose standards.

We visited the cafe after shopping. The tables were uncleared and unclean. The coffee was weak and unpleasant. The member of staff on the counter seemed uninterested in the cafe or its surrounds. I won't be back.

Free coffee if you have a Waitrose card ( we had one each) although you need to buy a cake or pastry to go with it if you eat at the back of the store. Enough space to read although you may have to negotiate your way around a couple of shopping trolleys or baby buggies. Cakes fresh and tea/coffee very good.

This has to be the best place for a coffee and cake if you have aa Waitrose card. The coffee and cake selection is good and, as long as you don't mind a few shoppers walking by, there is room to sit down and enjoy the rest. Always a must when you have time with your shopping and need a break. Can get busy at peak times.

I work in Kenilworth and have my lunch break between 1pm and 2pm when I like to go to the supermarket and fetch my lunch and shop for something for tea. Today I have given up on Waitrose I am fed up with the queues, I had to hand my basket to a member of staff because I didn't have time to wait any longer. You would think a big store like this would have more than 2 tills open and 1 person on the express till but no sadly not! I have just found a packet of cheese puffs in my drawer that will have to do for todays lunch so Waitrose sadly tomorrow I am off to Sainsbury's!!!

Have to say this with a heavy heart, but the café at Waitrose, Kenilworth is getting worse, I am not a fan of plastic cups & cutlery, nor of plastic plates, and trying to get a savoury snack after 3pm is nigh on impossible. It just puts the normal service of their other cafes in a new, and disappointing light, not what we expect Waitrose (and certainly not at these prices!)

This is an eatery set in the corner of the store. It is what it is. A place to sit and take time out whilst shopping and enjoying a fresh hot FREE coffee, ( if you have a waitrose card) even if it is in a paper cup. Ok so the chairs are wooden and hard to sit on but so are those in a good many 4 or 5 star restaurants . The variety of food is good whether breakfast, lunch or afternoon menu,s and the staff are always very pleasant.I and my wife enjoy "going out to lunch" here for under £5 total.

What a shame - this newly appointed café in our nearest Waitrose seemed a great plus to the store, and although a little bijou, it certainly looked like a typical Waitrose Café - until we noticed:
