Waitrose in West Devon

Where exactly is Waitrose going now? Their vegan stock used to be supurb then gradually they replaced the good stuff with obscure trendy stuff that never seemed to move off the shelf, now the vegan section is a tiny little section at the end of a shelf with nothing that I find suitable to buy. I used to spend aboit £150 a week in this shop, now im lucky if I spend £50. I have started to go to Sainsbury in Marsh Barton on the way home from work. They have a huge range, so Waitrose, you have driven me away, I hope others follow suit. 😒

Surprisingly for a reasonably large town, according to Google, Okehampton offered only two breakfast options on a July Sunday morning. Waitrose’s cafe is a pleasant spot adjacent to the store. They do good scrambled egg with cress sandwiches and sausage buns. Good coffee and friendly service.

Delighted to find a Waitrose in Okehampton - a large store, well stocked, very pleasant staff and a comfortable cafe.

Great shop but popped into the cafe for a drink and the staff are unfortunately very rude. Avoid and go into the town instead

As with all Supermarkets, only a short distance from holiday property, ample parking. Good choice and fair prices.

Virtually all customers were masked with just the odd idiot without. Who enforces the rules? Staffing good, unlike some competitors who have cut back on staffing levels.

I like most products but I don't like the noisy floor when moving chairs about in the cafe. Please sort this out either chairs or floor. We order online now which is very good Thank you.

Whilst staying for a few days at the Manor we popped in to WAITROSE cafe for coffee and snacks Our servers were Kathie & MARIA who were both friendly, helpful and professional Coffee perfect as always and tasty snacks A superb coffee stop and a lovely break from shopping Thanks

If you want a stress-free shopping experience DON'T go anywhere near Waitrose and LIDL in Okehampton in a vehicle! The traffic system is such that it drives people to take a very selfish attitude and forget the rules on how to use a roundabout. There are two mini roundabouts which get blocked and prevent in and out flow of traffic. I was sitting in my car yesterday and watched the traffic at a standstill and queued back round both carparks, all of these cars had their engines running so adding to the pollution. I wonder what would happen if one of these cars overheated and caught fire, it would take an hour to get a fire engine in, by which time the fire could have spread to all the other cars! Be warned!!!

Very polite staff and always like visiting. Nice to have a cup of tea at the cafe and then go shopping afterwards the aisles are wide and the shop is very clean

We stopped for a look round Okehampton and as we had to pay to park our car we noted that we could get our payment refunded if we bought something from Waitrose. We went for a coffee and a cake. The establishment was clean and the seating was simple. I did notice that the cash till was located in the corner of the counter so that staff serving did tend to get in each others way. However for us our drinks were politely served, were hot and the table at which we sat was also clean albeit not all that comfortable. Would we visit again probably yes.
