Wai Lam House in Cherwell

Looking for a quick dinner so we went to the Chinese takeaway, called in shortly after opening and the phone was ringing non-stop to me that's normally a good sign. Placed our order and was told it'll be 35mins. About 35mins later ours was called out to collect. The meal ordered was for 2 of us and there was plenty, we had ordered egg fried rice which was ok for me maybe more egg was needed, crispy beef salt and pepper which can be over cooked this was spot on, duck in plum sauce the duck was to died for but lacked with enough plum sauce and finally BBQ spare ribs plenty of sauce but the meat didn't fall off the bone. So overall it fed us, so would I go back again I maybe would because the duck was cooked superbly.

Great friendly service and delivery , other than great prawn crackers and sweet and sour King prawn balls which was fab , the food was ok but far too much black on a lot of it sadly , sausage and chips was reheated aswell not fresh which was disappointing.

I haven't ordered from here as I live Nottingham, I had this number ring me saying that they are from three network so not sure if your number has been cloned and using your number for scam

Tried this place for the first time, the food was absolutely lovely, reasonably priced, and very quick turn around will definetly be our new go to from now on

Honestly, the best Chinese in Banbury.

Great food and service from the gentleman that handles the orders. The prices are reasonable,but they don't cut corners when it comes to quality.

Haven't been in this place for years ( last time it was a chip shop) Food was spot on, asked for extra this/ and that. Not a problem. Excellent service all round 👏 👍 Got to try the duck curry with extra spice 👌

Very friendly even though we came in just before closing. Really quick service and can recommend the sweet and sour prawns, they were excellent.

Great little take-away away from the over crowded town center, great portions, vast menu, you would find something nice that isn't available at other take outs, plenty of parking areas around, quick and friendly service, I canna grumble, top bollock, no problems, will definitely go again in the near future, thanx very much Simon

I live in Norfolk, but everytime I come to Banbury to see family I get a meal from here lovely flavour. Ring and order ahead, they are really popular so you will wait.

Was recommended to try here. Ordered crispy chicken chilli with egg fried rice. The rice hardly had any egg in it and the chicken had no chilli in it and was very bland . I am disappointed thought it was going to be tasty. Ah well you live and learn

First time using Wai Lam as we had been told many times they are and we need to try. Well I so glad we did. The portion sizes are stop on and so much flavour in the food. Will definitely be going back

Incredible Chinese catering take away food, with an average of 20minute waiting time. As for the meal at the end of that wait, it's taste is typically fantastic. As with all restaurants, not all is perfect, but generally you can expect a nice take away Chinese at this place.

Food is awesome 👏 however the owner/ Main manager is extremely rude when taking orders. Can’t stand speaking to the bloke. Good job the food is so good. Rest of the staff are generally well mannered and polite
