I've been a regular at this place since it first opened, but lately, I've found myself visiting less often due to disappointing service. The food can be a real mixed bag—sometimes it arrives cold, clearly having been left to wait far too long, while other times, my meal is delivered but the drinks take forever to show up, often halfway through my meal. It’s frustrating to see so many staff members standing around with little attention to the customers. There’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to their service standards.

Left waiting for ages. Ramen is the worst I've had in well over a year. Food was bland and had very little flavour. My cats vomit looks more appealing. Disgraceful service. I won't be coming back here. Mcdonlads is popping off. Should have gone there instead.

Food was amazing, one of the best tasting food experiences I’ve had at wagamama. However the service was lacking , leaving us sitting for long periods of time when we were very clearly finished even though we was one of five tables there. The staff seemed to rather chat to the kitchen than provide service.

Those new signature dishes are really quite something! Worth coming back for.

Very poor experience last week (April 2025). my daughter and I were so looking forward to our Ramen chicken soups, and they were disgusting, the worst I ever had! The ramen noodles were like a gluey ball of 'something ', hard to describe... not eatable at all and the chicken was dry (even in a bowl of soup!). I called upon the manager to exchange our disgusting dishes and she said that "this is how is delivered to us", what that it means? You open a packet pour some water and the soup is done and you are charging £14.00 per portion...? I wasn't happy 😕 She offered to exchange for another dish, so I ordered 1 chicken pad thai without chilli... and guess what? They cooked with chilli, when I pointed out, she laughed. This is not nice customer service at all.

I went to this place with my friends a few days ago and the food was horrible and so expensive.Plus, the waiters were so rude and impolite so I don't recommend coming here. These workers don't even care about their costumers.My experience was HORRIBLE.!

I have had a lot of yaki sobas at wagamama over the course of the last twenty years. This one was the worst I've ever had. Considering the place was empty and I was really the only person eating at the time it's a pretty poor show.

Ellie was absolutely amazing when me and a group of friends came in she was very attentive to us and had a nice laugh with us. The food was unbelievably delicious and very fast coming out. We couldn’t be happier.

Nice fast friendly service. There is a wide choice on the menu. Food was well presented and all the dishes we ordered tasted very nice. Price is average. As this is within the leisure park there was plenty of parking. Would recommend.

Excellent service and great atmosphere. We just walked in and got a table. But during peak times, make sure you book in advance. It got quite busy by the time we left. Food was good as usual. The waitress was kind and friendly. Was glad to leave a tip.

Lovely ambiance. Mia was exceptional! Knowledgeable, patient and very welcoming. She went over and above the call of her duty to ensure that my family had a brilliant dining experience. My 14-yr old daughter had wanted to eat at Wagamama’s, and we all enjoyed it. Thanks Mia, and your manager(dint get her name) and Wagamama Stevenage. We went to Stevenage Wagamama yesterday as an end of half term treat. Justin our server was super friendly and brought over kids chopsticks and colouring which was great. The food came fast and we all left very happy.

A place that sells fake ramen and fake bibimbap. They will never have eaten real japanese and korean food.

Food was the usual standard of Wagamamas, really tasty and quick. Staff at this particular restaurant were ignorant beyond belief. Probably just as well we didn't want to order anything past our mains, as we were ignored the entire time afterwards. They also ignored us as we walked in, instead seating a family first before us despite is walking in first and waiting longer.

Staff tell you that you can return bowls only to then say that can’t AFTER you’ve ordered. Terrible.

Service was amazing, very helpful and friendly team, who looked after us very well. The kids loved it, and we were impressed by the speed with which the kids' food was brought out, which is very thoughtful. The place has a great buzz and atmosphere about it, no wonder there was an endless stream of people waiting for a table at the door! Good choice for veggies/vegans too, I'm still dreaming of the mushroom bao buns.

Hello, it was the first time I had food at Vagamama Stevenage. I was very impressed by the very good taste of the food. The waiting time was very good, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was good. I want to add that the menu was very rich in quantity compared to other locations. Anyway, my wife was very satisfied, plus we were celebrating a special event and we did not leave disappointed but very satisfied.

Good selection, but not much chicken to the meal. Perfect if on a diet, not so good if needing a filling meal.

Korean Beef buns were very basic. Nothing like what normally is served in other branches. My ramen was OK but my partner's Shiok Chicken was very dry. I expected better from Wagamama; today was disappointing even by their standards. Will stick to London branches instead.

Food service at the start was quite quick, getting our mains within 10 minutes of ordering. However when we wanted to order dessert we waited over 25 minutes just to get some menus we just assumed our server was busy at first but then we looked over and she was on her break and eating and chatting to a colleague and had to ask two different servers for a menu and then to order.

A great Wagamama in a great location. Been coming here weekly for some time. Staff are always really friendly and welcoming, dishes come out fast, and the atmosphere is nice.

Don't bother at the moment. Parking is impossible. They've put a fairground on a huge section of the car park so you'll just be in a traffic jam hoping for the chance that you're neatest when someone comes back to their car.

Poor quality food, chicken was chewie and the edemame undercooked. I did complete their spammy email survey afterwards, raising these concerns, obviously heard nothing more from them. Would not return to this branch.

All of the food was cold. Instead of the vegan curry I ordered I was given a children's chicken curry which wasn't even slightly warm.

Ordered food from here and got a vegan option and when it got here they sent the children's menu chicken equivalent. Crazy imo

Terrible, horrendous, awful service. First time of visiting, together with family from abroad. Table of 4 adults, 2 children. Table booked for 5pm, got out of there at 7.30pm. Was quite empty when we arrived so we thought great time. Only one starter ordered which came after the main Meals, and were delivered to the table individually. Kids meal came last. Had to remind waiter/waitress a number of times we were waiting for food, drinks, and the final straw was a dessert for the little ones which took 20 mins to arrive. Ice cream ... how hard can it be! Excuse made, a mix up in the kitchen. Then had drinks delivered to the table that were not ours. Didn't bother ordering more drinks as the wait time would have been too long. The bill was reasonable, if only it was correct ... not. We very nearly walked out. We certainly wouldn't recommend or go back to the Stevenage branch again. We suggest you think twice!

Absolutely outstanding service. During a very busy evening, a couple of small things went awry with our order. However the team quickly made things right and then followed up with some amazing generosity. Great service, more places could learn to be as good as the team here!

Shaun was very polite in taking my order and recommended some dishes too that was lovely, 100% recommend the teriyaki chicken and the ebi katsu

Food was ok, when it eventually came. Had a rare child free night with the Mrs and hoping to have an enjoyable meal together. Her food comes out pretty quickly. I wait a good 25 minutes after and my main then arrives, by that time she’d finished hers. Also the starters came out half way through her main. The servers were friendly, but the kitchen needs improvements

No one came to serve me for 20mins only after I asked.. my starter arrived at the end of my main meal only because I asked where it was then no one came to offer me my bill for another 25mins in the end I walked up to pay! Worst service ever! AVOID

Lovely atmosphere. We got there around 6pm on a Friday and got seated immediately. There was a queue forming about 10 mins later. Lovely food, quick service, nice friendly waiting staff.

Luke warm food took over 25-30 minutes to get starters when you’re not busy ordered pickled ginger arrived after food was nearly finished. Because you forgot. Spoke to Maria today who has poor attitude great leadership like this non wonder staff can’t get things right. McDonald’s might be better option or kfc at least there’s good shot served quickly no need to speak to manager there.

Very kind staff, told the waitress it was my birthday and they came out with a free birthday cake/brownie for free! Even gave bigger portions then usual.

It was my first visit to wagamama, I require a gluten free menu option, I would like to congratulate wagamama on their allergies policy, very professional, the manager gave me a personal servise, which was very reassuring & my Food was absolutely amazing. I cant wait to visit again

Have been many times to Waga's and love the food. There's no reason for mains to come out before the starters and a minute into tucking into the mains all the starters turn up. I know it's the serving style but it's bonkers to have several dishes arriving at once for no particular reason. Restaurant was probably only 20% full.

Gillian Quiambao is superb in her relationship with the coming in customers in Wagamama. She is very polite and approachable. Worth recommending. Thanks for the nice service

The food was amazing, just like the service. We sat at the window and we asked to move because it was cold they helped us instantly. The atmosphere was nice but it was a little noisy. Overall, the experience was good and I would recommend coming back.

I’d never been here before but they certainly didn’t disappoint. I had the grilled chicken ramen and it was 11/10. So good! The food was at our table within 10 minutes of ordering. Loved it and I will definitely be coming again.

Great staff, great food. The service level was top notch. Callum instantly took our orders, went through the menu for some things we didnt understand and the food was with us in 10 mins! Nothing really to complain about and the food itself was great.

Delicious food as always. We had the edamame, chicken raymen and duck donburi again as it's all so good. All of the staff are lovely and quick to help; special shout out to the lovely Calum who was understanding, patient and helpful. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

I went to try Wagamama foods with my wife , son and daughter in law on 27/06/2024 ,TBL 831/1, 6:56 pm. I can honestly confirmed the quality of foods was poor from my experience as Chinese Restaurants and takeaways practice accountants for the last 30 years. I am also owners of restaurants and takeaways. 1. Beef Brisket Hot Pot (£17)-The taste was too plain, beef found in my beef hot pot are surprisingly thin as paper and the soup taste like hot chili and hot water, chef should prepared the soup cooked with bones, prawn, chicken and beef, instead of just adding hot boiling water with hot chili powders. 2. The Pad Thai with Chicken and Prawn (£14.50) ordered by my wife was tasted plain, it seems like cooked by a junior cook who doesn't has good experience. 3. My son and his wife ordered Chicken Ramen (£14) and Beef Ramen (£17) tasted like using Maggie instant noodle cooked with Maggie chicken powders and hot water instead of Bone Brooth. Prices considered above average. Atmosphere and Furniture look average. Kitchen chef and staff need more training in my humble opinions. Kim Ee

One of the best wagamama I’ve been to, wonderful service and staff!! Been here multiple times and brought friends who have never been to wagamamas before and they loved it too!! The service was super fast and the food was delicious:)
