A lot of food for your money, very generous portions. Seriously, if you look at how much prep must go into their dishes compared with other takeaways, the value is superb. Great taste, piping hot, no complaint here. Oh, and the lad who takes your order is very helpful and has good manners. His mum must be very proud.

My 2nd delivery order. First time, I quoted the wrong number but right description & they delivered the wrong number item, despite the correct description being repeated back. This time I used description only & finally got to taste the House Special Fried Ho Fun I wanted before. It came in a clear plastic bowl + lid and by looking at it unopened, I just could not tell it was Ho Fun. I ate it & here is my breakdown of the ingredients: 50% veggies, 35% meat & prawns, 10% sauce and 5% flat rice noodle. Verdict: Very tasty & filling but I’m just a bit confused why the rice noodles were in such short supply. I’ve had Ho Fun from other restaurants where the flat rice noodle is the 70%+ ingredient but I expected more than 5%. Maybe their take is healthier? Won’t be ordering the “Special” version again - maybe you get more noodle if you order an ordinary (e.g. Beef) Ho Fun? 🤷

The food is very nice and good , but the only down fall I find is that they advertise on there front window it's a 5* food rating but they only have a 4* rating which isn't displaying on the front window .

Food has been ok? Waited over 90mins for a delivery, when I called them to ask where food was? Wasn't ordered, only take cash for tax purposes?

Ordered Thai options. Wow a Chinese T/A with a Thai option is exceptional. I ordered 128 and 166.First of all they charge more for a Thai dish, so they are not cutting corners with the ingredients but are aiming for experience. And do they atain it. Fabulous flavour unique to Thai food.Times are hard and finding partime delivery drivers is hard. So. Order over the phone and pick it up yourself - it is worth it.

Tonight we decided to order some Chinese takeaway and as usual it was very good normally we have it delivered but this time I rang up placed the order told them a time and it was ready

We always went to Manderin House and looked forward to it but after 3 very disappointing meals at different times we will be looking else where. Sauce very watery, meal very very salty, and black bean sauce SO spicy that is all the whole meal including rice a d beef tasted of sadly had to throw most of it away.

Always order from here and collect and it is always delicious. Ordered for 18:15 delivery turned up right on time as fresh as it would be to collect yourself. Best Chinese in Stevenage without a doubt

Omg this is the best Chinese in Stevenage. Like for real THE BEST. Food tasty and lovely big portions. Prices very good for the amount of food given. Delivery quick and food hot ready to serve. Very friendly and professional. The staff go out of their way. Gentleman wanted to check something on my order, he could not get me on phone so drove to my house, exceptional service. The food was delicious however far too much for us. So if you are small eaters may want to order less. Best Chinese in town. Thank you very much

We ordered and collected our food so it was nice and hot and it's not a far walk. The pork and black bean was lovely and not greasy.

I was really disappointed, it took a long time to get through on the phone, the man was abrupt and unhelpful, then it came without the prawn crackers promised and the sweet and sour king prawn balls were burnt. I won't be going back.

This is the first time I'd used this Chinese takeaway as the one I normally use has gone downhill and it will be the one I'll be using from now on. The food arrived quick was hot was exactly what we ordered, big portions and tasted delicious,the delivery guy was very polite and if you spend £25 you get free prawn crackers and a 2L bottle of pop already looking forward to my next takeaway great service top marks!

Ordered the Chinese from here for the first time last night as my normal Chinese has been going downhill for a while and couldn't fault it,from the polite delivery guy who delivered exactly what I ordered within half an hour and it was hot, decent sized portions and if you spend over £25 you get free prawn crackers and a bottle of 2L pop will definitely be ordering from here in the future

Ordered friday night was told 20 mins, whenni got there it was packed and waited another 25 mins. He was very apologetic. And gave me a free bottle of coke.. Well it was worth the wait the food was very nice. It was Friday night so expect it to be busy.. Food was hot as cooked fresh.. What do people expect. I will be returning

Make sure to order the food on Friday if you like to get it delivered on Saturday that too if you are lucky enough... never ordering again

The Mandarin House has change management but I'm sorry to say not for the good the food is not as good as the previous owner the prices have also increased best advice I can give find another takeaway I have used this Takeaway for some years but not anymore.

They no longer do fish, savaloy or pies. And the chips are dry and burnt. Would no longer recommend ☹️

This Takeaway has recently come under new management and not for the good the food is certainly not has good has the old management and the prices have gone up also they have stopped selling fish-n-chips best advice aviod it.

Extremely busy Saturday before Christmas yet Tony and his daughter worked efficiently and courteously. I had Hong Kong sweet and sour pork and the house special fried rice both were excellent especially as the orders were coming in thick and fast so complements are due to chef.

Seriously the rudest people you will ever meet. . Foid is awful. . Fish and chips is not their thing.. don't go there.

I am a regular customer and usually receive good customer service. However on this particular occasion i was spoken to in a manner that was truly disgusting and i reprimanded the man for this. Good food but customer service is lacking

A great Chinese/Fish and Chip shop with friendly staff and the best tasting Chinese food in Stevenage

We order from here regularly and have been for over 30 years! The food is always delicious and well prepared. We love the chicken in gravy with peas.

The CHINESE food here is the best you'll get in Stevenage. Have tried others and although OK (San Pan for example) i always find myself back in the Madarin House. Offers 2 meals for one on the menu, which are great and very filling. You don't get that anywhere else from what i have tried. Would say though that the chips are fine but the fish and chips? Certainly a matter of taste but am no great fan of the fish (try Rowes in Bedwell). In defence of the lady behind the ramp i think her understanding of English is not great and she gets a bit flustered and frastrated especially if its busy and the phones ringing etc. She doesn't mean to be rude. Tony is a joy though and have known him for years. Would certainly recommend the home delivery as its speedy and arrives piping hot. All in all its the best Chinese in Stevenage for value for money and taste. Highly recommended.

This local Chinese run take-away usually has a pleasant owner serving but if you are unlucky you may be confronted by a female who when she does not understand you becomes rude and walks away. Considering that for years this has been an adequate and quite friendly place it's sad to see that on some days you might feel that you can not trust the service. I for one feel that I do not need to abused there I can go to better places for that. Usually I accept this bad service but today she was particularly unhelpful. Half a mile away was The Fisherman's Wharf where I was even offered a small sample to help me decide. Now that was good service!
