Lovely time with our family for our daughter’s birthday and Kristen was so good with the kids! Always friendly here, we love coming

First time visit to any Wagamama venue. Pleasantly surprised. Popped in while shopping in town, no booking made, greeted and seated by very friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered the salad and my companion ordered the ramen. both were delicious. Our server was helpful, chatty and knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and talked us through the menu, answering all our questions. We were on a schedule so our time there was limited, but enjoyable and we actually felt like we had rested and been there a while. We agreed we would definitely return. Great first experience. Cant fault it.

Ordered a takeaway using deliveroo and I honestly could not believe it when I opened the pot of my curry. It was such a small portion and did not look anything like the images or what I expected. Thankfully it tasted good but was not worth the £16 I paid for. Unfortunately both me and my partner ordered the same thing so it was a waste of £32!

Got a call from my daughter, hey mum fancy a late lunch of course I say but we didn't really know where to go as it's quite a lot of the same old thing in Southend, so we though why not let's try Wagamamas. Well we were very plesently surprised, wonderful clean dining area, in fact all customer areas were spotless, the toilets were clean and well stocked, staff attentive but not over the top when ordering or second drinks etc, happy to explain or make recommendations on the menu, honestly they were brilliant all round even the kitchen staff were tidy well presented while serving amazing great tasting food from a wide and varied menu, and I can highly recommend the desserts! Wow! Definitely recommend, wish I'd got the names so I could have put them on here, as well as thanking them in person. 10/10 💜

Attended for dinner My friend’s dinner arrived and about to finish eating when my meal arrived, the starter arrived later!! One of the waitresses was very rude, seated other people next to me, I was left with my coat, handbag on my lap hardly a place left for me to reach the plate and the waitress couldn’t care less. Not enough places to hang coats. Nice food , turned unpleasant due to bad service

One of my favourites is the Fried oyster Mushrooms, I know how it’s meant to be cooked and served up, but sadly the kitchen served me up a burnt offering, and noticeably smaller than what it should be, sent them right back where they came from, note to the kitchen, NEVER send out food that’s clearly burnt!! (See photo of the burnt dish and the one after)Very unprofessional, opted for the Shu’s Shiok Chicken meant to be a special dish, again a measly portion of chicken not even half a breast amount, (see photo of my dish then look at the Wagamama menu for the same dish) and it looked like it was just thrown on, nothing like the photos from the menu, a very small portion included a small rice portion, terrible value would never order again, taste wise it was ok. Ramen is usually good and it was, although not spicy as per menu, hi light was the Roti, and the Drink, service great, no issues there, but felt let down by the kitchen, guess they are not following the uniform instructions, as I know for sure you don’t serve up burnt bitter tasting food hoping the customer won’t know any different, Wrong. Anyway, sure we will be back as it’s our local branch and it’s convenient, as long as they give out the actual food as it appears on the menu presentation and quantity , other outlets manage it, and don’t cut corners, worth noting I wasn’t charged for the mushroom dish . Came to eat at Wagamama Southend after shopping in Leigh on Sea & in Southend high street. We were seen to very fast but a very small & lovely lady not seen her here before. Very sweet lady Not long after we had sat down a gentleman came over called Mason he took our drinks & food order & was very friendly & funny made a great member of staff. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant this evening & the food was good not as nice as normal but we haven’t been here for a while we normally go to Basildon as it’s better for car parking & lakeside as it’s easier. When we were siting down we found out that the staff on site were covering for Southend & the man from Basildon ( Mason the manager ) was absolutely brilliant & a real credit to the restaurant. Love the cherry blossom lemonade my new favourite drink wish it had some vodka or gin in it then it would be 11/10

First time here and I find it amazing. The food is so nice. The place is clean and warm. The waitress Steph is very nice, service with a smile and very knowledgeable. Brilliant experience

Food is excellent, on par with other branches we use, service as expected and matches other branches we use also, good sized portions well presented, was an early lunch so not too busy, the Gochuchan tofu rice bowl and Roti is a great combo.

Every time we have been (and we go monthly) we are always so so happy to eat here, the food always comes out lovely and fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere and always feels clean. Even my daughter who us a picky eater LOVES the kids Katsu curry - YUM

Here on a Monday night for my daughter's 11th birthday! Im no expert but food was lush. Rachel was AMAZING and made the night so special. Nothing that she wouldn't do to help. Came to wagas for a early birthday meal with my fiance and her friend! Food was absolutely amazing i tried the chicken hotpot which manager Rachel says it got a kick and it defo did! Rachel was absolutely fantastic and checked on us to make sure everything thing was perfect which made our night so much better!! Thank you waga team!

So...... Friday night and it is busy in WM Southend, my wife and I order our usual favourites from the menu, the food is delayed and then my wife's food arrives 10 minutes before mine. Here is what impressed me, all throughout our time the staff kept coming up to us to apologise and giving us updates, we could see that they were under pressure but they never shyed away. I was really grateful to the manager on the night who was excellent with all the customers who were affected. That is how you look after people when things aren't going to plan. Thank you Wagamama's.

Started to come here when it opened and it was good as it should be, but it went downhill fast and was no where near as good as Chelmsford Branch or other branches, so last visit was almost 12months ago, gave another go and the food was how it should be, guess they got differant chefs in now from when it first started, service good but was not busy as it was after lunch, so lucky for us we can visit the Southend outlet more often

Amazingly tasty food, reasonably priced and a very quirky service style. We were served by Steph. Hopefully you are lucky enough to get her service as she simply couldnt do any more for us. She is a star!!

My partner and i come here often and seem to always have the best luck as we get served by Rebecca quite often. Every time we see her, she’s always so hard working and is such a pleasant server. Always making sure everyone has everything they need to ensure we have the best experience. She is so warm and attentive and has a lovely disposition. You’re very lucky if you have her as a server !!

Food was nice but disappointed that most of the dishes contain sulphur dioxide which is not good. Also they are high in salt. I'm surprised that they aren't more heath aware.

Had a late lunch today, Sunday. Was greeted by the loveliest staff, Rachel and Steph who were amazing. Such a nice suprise to find such warm and friendly staff, it's quite rare these days. Amazing food as always, love love love it here!.
