Typical English pub with lots of conversations and buzz. Nice garden at back, good range of beers - very decent prices, too!!

It's a fairly good place, with reasonable prices. I've never had any trouble, and the bouncers at the door seem reasonable. It gets rammed on a Friday/Saturday night, but it is alright during the day or the week. Not somewhere I would take my kids.

Went there for the England v Ireland 6 Nations rugby. Not only was it a great atmosphere but it was £15 for a round of 4 beers so great value too👍👍👍

A good medium rare dish, more like rare, but it's the first time I've seen a knot in the dough, maybe there's a difference here. A good restaurant in my opinion

Great pub, great prices, fun and inclusive atmosphere... proper pub in a town full of cocktail bars... no glitz or glamour, just good old fashioned pub atmosphere and fun.

Great atmosphere and buzzing in there. I like ale and didn't enjoy the Timothy Taylor much. Everything else was fine and cheaper than most pubs in the area.

The bar staff including the manager were the most rudest and aggressive people I have ever come across . We went for a friends 60th birthday celebration but can guarantee none of us will ever return

Great pub for atmosphere fabulous young cover band playing called Alterego all the favourite sing along and dance tunes made for a real party night apparently they are playing again on the 7th October well worth a visit.

This is a sound pub; prices are not outrageous which is great for Leigh-On-Sea. I visited on a Friday night with a friend, and they had karaoke on, which was very lively and popular. Door staff are really friendly. Toilets are clean. Although the pub is dog friendly, I would not recommend on a Friday evening with a pups as it is very busy and very loud. Probably OK in the daytime though. Will return

It seems that the ugly bus stopped outside this pub and everyone got off and went inside . Full of loud mouth no nothing divs . They are Armed with pit bull terriers , offensive tattoos and breath that would strip wall paper … and that just the women . All the heavy drinkers go here . One guy had drank so much he literally peed himself , the place stunk It needs bull dozing and rebuilding , Shane .

Well I have to say they have lost my custom. Singing songs with my family for Arsenal which offended the barmaid because she is spurs how pathetic after spending over 300 pounds so stupid as we were thrown out for that bad move I have a lot of influence pitty because I will cause a problem now for stupid behaviour from the staff

Disappointed they didn't do food, but the lovely lady serving recommended we order in a toastie from Grate over the road, which was lovely. And the drinks were very reasonably priced too.

Haven't been here for a long while for no other reason than I don't live locally. However it's a friendly pub and the beer is very well priced, not your normal Leigh on sea prices.

Owner is a liar who will go to great lengths to falsly accuse the visitors of a wrong doing if they don't meet her likable quota. This pub was once managed properly but now its a stain on the Craft Union brand. Shame on the management.

Amazing Djs, the outside was a cool atmosphere. However the bar queue was ridiculous. At one point there was 50+ at the bar and only one person serving. We left due to not being able to get a drink. If they invested in staff this place would be tops.

It's my local, of course its good except on football days, Friday nights, Saturday nights sometimes Wednesday and Thursday, and even Monday and Tuesday What more can I say...... oh yes I forgot Sunday

The pub is dirty. Filthy dirty. None of the tables are ever wiped down and are always sticky and covered in spilled beer. The floor by the bar is also wet and slippery. The seats are stained and the carpet black with dirt. Half the benches in the beer garden are broken. The staff are miserable and the clientele are rough and dodgy as hell!! It always feels like it’s about to kick off in there and usually does. It was bad as The Carlton and only the name has changed.

Can get busy but good atmosphere

An ok place, cheap beer considering it is in Leigh-On-Sea. The garden lacked any form of shade in the heat. The staff were ok, they interacted more with their regulars. Nice atmosphere.

Cheaper than spoons but with an atmosphere. Dont know how they do ut but they never disappoint

First visit. Tyson fight on multiple screens! Bouncers were really friendly and everyone seemed to know everyone else. Great music on in the background. Will definitely go back

What an interesting place! Great independent shops, great restaurants - such a great place to visit. It's like a mini Shoreditch! Walking distance to the beautiful Old Leigh High Street to get your seafood fix.

What you see is what you get, a good, big, solid pub in Leigh on Sea's main broadway.

Just had lunch at the Estuary on Leigh Broadway and although food and atmosphere good as always, really disappointed that the staff have become very lax in complying with Covid rules, several not making any effort to wear masks as they serve customers inside or out. Neither does there appear to be any hand sanitizer in obvious view which is a change from last time we visited this restaurant when it was on a stand at the entrance. This relaxed attitude to the rules seems to have created a culture where numerous customers also thought it perfectly ok to walk in or wander around the restaurant without masks with some mingling with other tables. With Covid numbers on the rise and young people being hospitalised, this was really disappointing and made us feel so uncomfortable that my partner felt that something had to be said to the staff. Their attitude was friendly and professional and spoke to their staff about our concerns and it was pleasing to see that those spoken to, did apply their masks as required. We may be a couple of old fuss pots in some peoples eyes but we are not out of the woods yet with Covid and now might think twice before returning again whilst the risk remains, particularly to our kids who are yet to be double jabbed.

Brilliant pub, great atmosphere and no trouble whatsoever. It's nice to see a local pub run by family, who are very warm and welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for quiet, affordable drinks without a raucous crowd trying to state their dominance.

I stopped by this pub and was amazed to see the cleanliness and social distance taking place, I felt so safe and clean and Sanitizer everywhere. The landlady Kelly was so welcoming and making sure where you sit was all clean and sanitized before you take your seat. Track and trace was all in order I will definitely recommend this pub for a nice chill and clean environment

Took my friend for her birthday. Service was poor,my order came out wrong my friend asked for a certain salad which came out wrong they took it back to change and over an hour later it still didnt return,she got given a poor excuse of orders backed up and a glass of wine,she had no lunch on her birthday and the manager didnt even come to the table to apologise he sent a waiter.£25 for my skewer and 2 wines,rubbish service and customer service

Been going here for years and it’s never let us down. Great food good service and gentle ambiance. The owner/manager always welcoming and friendly Checks all is ok too.

Was passing through Leigh-on-Sea and decided we were going to get a well deserved drink and go for a meal. Took us a little while to find this place after we parked up and it didn’t look the most enticing place with a number of lairy types smoking out front but we were gasping. It was the opposite of what I was looking for being with my wife, there wasn’t a spare seat in the house, more TV’s than I’ve ever seen in one pub and a few loud drunks about as well. If I was with the lads it wouldn’t have been an issue, we’re all football mad and we’d have stayed for a few. With the missus it was a no-no, we had one drink and left - I must say that it’s the cheapest pub I’ve been in for some time though. Would’ve taken some pics but I reckon they’d have thought I was old bill so decided discretion is the better part of valour when single handed.

1990's pricees good service excellent staff and honest

Pub seems great and the locals were lovely but they made it impossible for a rock covers band to play there with the decibel limiter continually cutting the power to the equipment (which was being triggered by the drum kit and not even anything that was plugged in or mic'd up, and you obviously can't turn a acoustic kit down) I realise their hands are probably tied by the local authorities, but then they should stick to booking acoustic gigs and not rock bands. I wouldn't recommend that any bands take up gigs their unless they're strictly acoustic. I think the only thing to blame here is poor planning on their part and expectations of the kinds of acts they can now book since implementing the limiter. Luckily the locals seemed to be on our side and made up for the breaks in instrumentation by shouting the lyrics along with us.

Came here for a quick drink nice pub lovely garden,was impressed to see its very dog friendly lots of well behaved dogs mulling about will be back!.

They never clean outside the property after closing therefore on the weekends the pavements look like ashtrays. Often smashed glass too. Clean your mess up.
