Looked forward to this all day and then I found a hair in my food and the ingredients all tasted indistinguishable from one another? How did the taste of one pizza divulge into the other pizza ordered? Easily the worst pizza I’ve ever had (second one was left after one bite 😁)

Ordered a pizza at 5 and was being told it would be delivered between 5:40-5:50. Called up at 6:10 asking when my pizza will be delivered. Got told the delivery driver has just arrived to bring it to me and will be with me within 10 minutes. It’s just got delivered at 6:45. Nearly 2 hours wait for 1 pizza

Great food always delivered on time

I can honestly say... we ordered a pizza that we had before and it wasn't at all what we ordered.... rang and spoke to the guys. Sometimes takes a few calls but I get they are busy... but an hour later the guy turned up with what we had ordered free of charge and very apologetic... so I would say respect and better than other pizza companies... we've tried them all. Fat pizza on the day. 5 stars.

I called up to ask about deals for collection and the young girl that picked up said I had to go into store, which didn't sound right I went into the store and it turns out that I didn't have to go in, I could have got the same deals online. On my way home I realised my order wasn't correct and I called up... the same young girl picked up, she was untouchable levels of rude and arrogant, she told me the person in the store that said I didn't have to come to store for the deals was wrong and must be stupid, then when I asked to speak to her manager she made an immature little giggle and hung up. I called back to speak to a manager and she picked up again and refused to give me her name, then made her irritating little giggle again, then blocked me. I confirmed this by going back into store where they called the girl and she said they were busy and didn't have time to speak me. Purely for hiring a girl this disgusting the company deserves a maximum of 1star.

The worst service I’ve ever had, took 2hrs to arrive the box folded in half where the pizza was sitting in the shop for so long! Never eat from there. & didn’t answer the phone called 20 times.

I as a delivery driver went in to collect an order for uber as they were literally all sat around a table on their phones seeming not interested to be told they hadn't even had my order through so will not be ready for a long time I'm not surprised they probably didn't even look for orders...sounds right when reading all these other bad reviews

As it's not possible to leave no stars I had to leave 1. Was not sure who's incompetence was at play here but after reading the rest of the reviews it's clear to see where the liability lies. Your obviously as good at running a business as you are fulfilling your online orders. To anybody reading these reviews steer well clear. And before you leave your standard reply to a complaint, we have already contacted you so there is no need for me to suffer more incompetence and incompetence. The error is being investigated by deliveroo but one thing remains clear. Either you or deliveroo owes me £20

Ordered a pizza at 16:51. Was promised between 17:30-17:40. I called and they blamed the delivery guy. Didnt even say sorry. It's 18:26 and still haven't received anything. Fat Pizza was our family favourite. Was.

Avoid at all costs. Food arrived 1 hr 20 mins after latest delivery time. 2 phone calls and just palmed off by Southend branch who said driver 10 mins away both times, food arrived 25 mins after 2nd phone call. Delivery driver at least apologised. Used to be fab food and fast what’s happened? Will not use again.

Ordered two pizzas at 21.00 through Uber eats. Uber firstly got the address wrong and so pizza attempted to deliver at the wrong address. So rang restaurant directly. Restaurant showed no sympathy for Ubers mistake (certainly wasn’t mine) and then said they would deliver the pizzas as a priority to the correct address. At 22.45 i rang for an update and the man who answered was the most blunt and useless member of staff. Told be there in 10 mins and put the phone down on me. No apology. Waited 20 mins and then rang again. Someone answered and instantly hung up. Then rang again and they shut there phone lines, Outrageous customer service etc etc DONT USE THIS PIZZA COMPANY

Absolutely terrible company, ordered my pizza directly via their website. It offered to give me live updates to which I didn't receive any. Finally decided to call the Chatham branch after 1 hour to be told its on its way. Thirty more minutes later I still hadn't received it and was spoken to extremely rudely by some girl who didn't seem to have a care in the world about my order. I promptly asked for a refund which she agreed to but wouldn't offer to send any sort of written email confirmation so I doubt I'll ever get my refund, will update this review if I ever get it. Avoid at all costs seriously unorganised unprofessional and useless. *Update for the owner* Based on the first experience, I assure you I'll never be going back. Looking at your latest reviews it seems quite clear nothing has improved.

Desserts are very good and taste very nice however ordered the spicy Mexican chicken burger and the chicken was hard and chewy and was very poor and the spice was so hot it burnt my lips it was, left them with blisters

Avoid ! Avoid ! Avoid! …..Ordered food and waited an hour beyond delivery time. Called to ask where food was and was told its 9 minutes away. Called again half an hour later and was told the order isn't now coming. No reason given just told to call deliveroo for my refund. 2 hours wasted and have to wait 2 weeks for my refund now. Lots of other reviews state late or non show delivery. Don’t wast your time!

Ordered a 2 for 1 deal with Uber eats. The app didn't recognize the free pizza. Cancelled the order but never got a refund even though fat pizza suggested cancelling it and ordering again via them. I'm now out of pockets £22. Called fat pizza who weren't interested to help.

Terrible service. Ordered food they gave us estimated time but after 15mins later I rung up to ask how much longer my food will be. The man on the phone just told me to wait another 20mins. 35mins went by and yet still nothing so I rung again and explained I was told 10mins I didn't get no apology or anything just told again to wait as driver is on his way. Very disappointed in the service here. Won't be ordering again from here.

I love desserts and Fat Pizza does the best cookie dough in Southend IMO. Unfortunately on a couple of occasions the Cookie dough arrived very late going hand in hand with being cold. With that being said any time we have had an issue we are quick to raise it and their staff have always been quick to resolve any complaints. Overall I'm usually very pleased with the product and I'm pleased the business is always busy, although on occasion deliveries could be managed better so the product doesn't come up cold.

Southend store gone downhill. Pizza arrived uncooked. Promised a replacement via points on messenger but was never actioned. Phone call to shop not interested..told to email but no response to two emails and multiple messages. Another good customer lost. Update September Decided to try again after a year but this time they swapped prawns for tuna without contact. It was vile so won't bother with them again. Will stick to Domino. Not worth trying to phone, message or email as last time they said they would add points and never did.

I use some where else now. If the orders wrong or anything goes wrong really hard to rectify with the owners. Our household felt quality had rapidly gone downhill too.

Not to unhappy with the lateness abit confused as the food turned up in fat pizza boxes .... Mozzarella strips you only get 4 and the jalapeno poppers are exploded so already popped ..... So abit let down and bit confused by the fat pizza boxes ????

After eating even a small piece of one of your pizzas last night, my 2 year old son and I have spent the day being sick! You had to replace the pizza last night as it was visibly undercooked, clearly the replacement was only better cooked on the surface! Disgusting! And not for the first time! Suggest you either hire a new cook or a solicitor. I'll be in touch with my own!

Banging pizza worth being late

Was an hour late. Freezing cold and I threw all the nachos away as they were also cold. Pizza was also cold. I called restaurant when it was late - no help at all or ETA just said it’s with driver and to wait. I received my food at 11.15pm!

Don't bother getting the cookie dough it's tiny even with toppings! All hot food was cold on arrival. Bubble tea was the only decent thing we had.

No longer good cheap pizza, delivery driver accepted my money walked away, door shut about to open up this bad boy and I get a knock saying he's missing one pound, clowns trying to short change me. Pizza was nothing like I remember, def using cheaper materials, no more loads of cheese tasted really poor. Ordered white cookie dough I wish I took a picture of this embarrassment, just look at what the picture looks like on there website/just eats and I maybe got 20% of that and it looked like they jump shot into the box with the smallest amount of white chocolate and I paid 5 pounds for that. The cookie dough didn't even cover the disposable foil tray!!! Done with fat pizza, hope they go out to business.

New place I had to try, we all loved it, definitely recommend! Will be ordering again soon, only thing I'd love to see is more options like, peri chicken wings ect.. But yeah no complaints, delicious food!

Absolutely shocking service, waited over an hour that stated was on route, messed up our order as in it never arrived, told that they never received one, when phoned again told to not phone them and that we should order direct would never use again first time user left very unimpressed of customer service.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBER TO THIS COMPANY! They will harrass you every other day to order more food, definitely do not put your number in... cant stress this enough. Order and call them. Wont let me block either as need to then be charged to text a premium number to block the number.. honestly is frustrating I've called three times and nothing.

Have ordered twice from here and that's the last time now. Phoned up 1 1/2 hrs after ordering and woman on phone snapped "what's the problem?" When i saix I'd received a text saying delivery would be 4 mins 1/2 hour previous and still hadn't arrived she told me it had been delivered. Lo and behold 10 mins later pizza turned up, stone cold. They also sent the wrong flavour cheesecake which was a solid frozen block of ice to add insult to injury. No wonder their Google reviews are so low. *update* it took them 2 years to reply to my review!! Says it all!!

This place is terrible I asked for a barbecue madness with cheese stuffed crust didn’t get it so sent it back for another one and one come back with stuffed cheese crust but no barbecue sauce absolutely shocking and rude on the phone

Ordered from "Watta Burger" but it seems that's just some new name for these guys as it came in Fat Pizza boxes and even the Deliveroo address brings me here! Misleading people isn't a good way to do business. Anyway, ordered this great looking burger and received something completely different. See the pics, how cheeky is that?!. Crispy fries were actually curly fries (fine whatever, but might annoy some). Missed out a drink and fries from our order too, luckily Deliveroo makes a refund on that easy. It was still OK food and it wasn't terrible, but it really wasn't worth the price we paid as it wasn't the premium looking meal we ordered - the images on Deliveroo show much better food than the basic stuff we received. Won't order again from either of these (same place anyway it seems), complete mis-sell. If it turns out that Watta Burger just happen to be right next door to these guys, and they just happened to borrow some boxes, more fool you for letting someone else put food in a box with your brand on it. But this feels like a sneaky rebrand to avoid the other poor reviews here. Also worth checking Watta Burger's "5 star" hygeine rating on Deliveroo...it's for some Thai place in London. Everything about this is wrong!

Fat Pizza used to be really good, before covid. No idea what went wrong but at some point everything changed. Pizzas no longer really have any taste, food is cold, garlic bread has a deep fried consistency, and 75% of the time the get the order wrong. I’ve had wrong drinks, wrong deserts, wrong sides. If you go back to them about this their response is to just give you extra points, not a refund or maybe even an offer to get the right item to you. A couple of times I’ve even had the order and been told they didn’t have what I ordered so they just changed it, they had my number but made no effort to contact me and ask what I would actually like as a substitution. I now have about 2000 points across my wife’s and my accounts and we won’t ever use them. Prices have gone up so now you’re paying over £20 for a really cheap pizza and a couple of sides, which if you’re lucky will be the right order and a bit warm when it arrives. Fat Pizza used to be the only place I would go to, and I recommended it to a lot of people, now I’ve deleted the app, stopped the text, and will never order from them again.

Do not give these guys your phone number. They have harassed me with texts for about 8 years now after I ordered once and continue to do so even after I block them. Edit: another text today. And if I want to stop the texts I need to send a message STOP to a premium rate number. Why does your company think marketing via text message is acceptable? Should be illegal.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! Ordered a pizza, it went an hour past the latest delivery time. We was then told it was out for delivery by the girl on the phone!! 15mins later we was then told she had no receipt her end that the pizza wasnt ordered when it clearly paid for! Had a few issues lately. Last week the food arrived cold and burnt. All they offered was points for next order. I ordered tonight, took an hour 45 mins and arrived stone cold and was missing half my order. Customer service is the worst. Refunds are not offered. Barely even get an apology. Never using again

I am very disappointed with our service with the fat pizza today. We ordered 2 pizzas which had a missing topping (not a big deal), 2 tango ice blasts, strawberry milkshake and 2 carrot cake. The service was despicable! Not only was our food really late the driver forgot our drinks and carrot cakes. We got told 20 minutes for them to turn up and we had to wait 40 minutes! I phoned up because we didn't get the service we deserve. We then had to wait a further 40 minutes for the drinks and the delivery driver tried to charge us even though we paid £52.50 which one the drinks was wrong and filled with loads of syrup my partner couldn't drink it due to being diabetic also we didn't get our carrot cakes and was given one piece of chocolate cake which I cannot eat! I'm very unhappy with this service, we are regular customers to you guys and so disappointed this has happen. Not pleased at all.

Dont trust this thieving company. Driver turned up, knocked on the door then noticed it was wrong order!!! 3 phone calls and 70 minutes later still no Pizza after being told 3 times driver is less than 10 minutes away! They have taken money not delivered any food! It's now closed and they not answering the phone!

Placed an order on the app and waited happily until it reached past the delivery time. I called to ask for a delivery update and was told the order will now need to be cancelled as they do not have any drivers. My question is, why take an order if you do not have any drivers? The person I spoke to said that I need to email to gain a refund! Won't be ordering from here again.

Would give this a minus review but sadly I can't. They was allowed to take payment twice but not notify us that they don't sell certain foods on their menu. If we didn't call back we'd still be clueless. 2 hours later, double payment, hung up on me whilst trying to sort out the situation and no food. Waste of a company and time.

The first order, we got £8 burgers that were totally wrong, they mixed the ingredients up totally so I got half what I wanted and half my girlfriends order in my burger and my girlfriends burger was the same totally wrong. We thought we would give them another chance so ordered tonight, the burgers has what we asked for this time but as soon as I picked it up it just fell apart and almost ended up in my lap, and to top it off we ordered curly fries both times and there were literally a hand full and they were stone cold, pretty shocking considering one box of fries is £4.85. Definitely won't order from them again.

I don't know what has changed but my last 2 experiences have been terrible. This evening the food finally arrived an hour late and the order was wrong. After several attempts I finally got through on the phone, I told the lady that answered my delivery was wrong, she said hang on (which I did for some time) to then have them hang up on me, I have been trying to call back for over 20 minutes now and they are not answering the phone. Will not be ordering from here again, the food has gone down hill and the customer service is non existent.

Delivery Food - Appalling... We had a two hour wait for a delivery, when it finally arrived it was stone cold.. Honestly, the pizza looked like it had been reheated as it was burned around the edges. Ordering should have been the warning - the young lady on the phone kept saying that she couldn't hear, but it sounded like a brass band playing in the back ground. We tried chasing the order after an hour and a half, but were really given a 'non answer' about he system saying it was in a particular place 15 minutes away, but we checked and it wasn't moving... Poor experience, inedible food and staff the don't care - I only gave it a star because I had to to get the review completed..

40 minutes late with only half of our order. I spoke to some to some rude customer service staff who ensured me the rest will arrive in 15 minutes. An hour later after calling the third time I was told my order was cancelled as they believed I had received all of my order.

It appears this place is more of a scam than a restaurant. Past delivery and according to Just Eat there's not even a driver to pick it up yet. Unable to contact the place. I read the other reviews after waiting a while, and it's apparantly how they normally do business. Can't believe Just Eat allow themselves to represent such businesses.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Last time I ordered, they missed out a side and the drink, told me I had to go through an extensive online procedure to rectify this. Took it on the chin, ordered again. Two hours it's been and still no pizza, and the store has closed so no one is answering the phone. Not impressed.

The pizza is DISGUSTING the sides where okay but curly fries where under cooked garlic bread had basically no garlic on it mozzarella sticks bog standard the pizza cheese was absolutely rancid and actually smelt like rotten feet pepperoni cheap and tasted gone off would never order from here again

Not for people who like neopolitan or more traditional italian pizza. So if you prefer the likes of Dough and Co then you would be wasting your time here. I would only order this if I was walking home from the pub or my other first choices were all closed and wanted a dirty pizza. It's kind of like pizza hut crossed with grill bros. They make a big song and dance about their fresh dough, the crust is good (for a takeaway style pizza|) but the rest of the pizza base is pretty soggy. Had a thin crust and a deep pan. Deep pan was too thick so alot of the bread in the middle didn't cook. Thin crust was still a bit soggy. Pizza sauce lacks flavour and cheese isn't very melty. Although I will say that there is not much oil on the pizza which is refreshing.

First time Ordering from the newly opened Colchester store. Pizza took 1h 45mins to arrive..Pizza cold upon arrival. I know the pizza is cheap but think I would rather pay more for something that turns up on time and is edible. Not really a good start to get repeat customer orders.
