Wagamama - Kensington in Kensington and Chelsea

While the food at this branch is consistent with other wagamama spots, the service here is what makes the Kensington branch the best. A massive shoutout to Judith, Sam, Manish and the whole team who always welcome my family and I with a warm smile. Members of the team often come by to say hello, even if they are not our server during our visit. We feel so appreciated here. Must try are the Firecracker Honey Chicken, Teriyaki Steak Soba and Banana Katsu with Miso Caramel. Looking forward to seeing the team again soon!

I can't recommend this branch enough! My experience this time round was made in most part by Walli. She was extremely kind and attentive throughout. The service from Walli genuinely made our time here a lot more enjoyable!

Éramos un grupo de ocho y decidimos una cena al estilo asiático. Tomó un tiempo para que todos decidieran entre el enorme menú, pero finalmente una vez que se hicieron los pedidos, fue una solución rápida. Los entrantes llegaron en literalmente 5 / 7 minutos, seguido de los platos principales en otros 7 / 8 minutos. El tamaño de la porción es grande y generoso, algunos de nosotros no pudimos terminarlo. Las bebidas y los elementos del menú tienen un precio moderado para una ubicación de Kensington High Street. Food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and the portion sizes were great. Service was very good, staff were friendly and attentive. 🤩

I order a pad Thai and I was very disappointed. I have had the same dish at many different wagamamas across the UK so knew what to expect. However it came and it had only two pieces of tofu (should be ~6) and there were basically no noodles, instead a huge about of bean sprouts. I was very disappointed.

I love wagamama In this branch I experienced a little bit less quality for the food comparing to other branches. But staff were great. Polite and energetic. Great service and great atmosphere.

Wagamamas suele ser un restaurante muy fiable, pero me pareció que la comida estaba un poco por debajo del estándar habitual. Todavía era agradable y de ninguna manera desagradable, pero no tan bueno como wagamamas por lo general es. Habíamos mirado en línea para encontrar un lugar que abriera lo suficientemente temprano para obtener un almuerzo temprano antes de tomar un tren, y este abrió a las 11. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos no era así. Permaneció cerrado hasta cerca de las 11. 30 a pesar del tiempo en la puerta y en línea diciendo 11. Food wasn’t as tasty and fresh as some other branches. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

Yummy place to eat out, lots of choice and options to alter your dish if you wish. Had the roast vegetable katsu かつ and loved it! No waiting time and able to pay with ease. Toilets available and a lift if you need it.

Really lovely food and meal and our server Rosario was brilliant, attentive and helped with recommendations. Great atmosphere and really enjoyed our meal thank you Rosario

They stole my money and not delivered the food. The manager Patrick is extremely rude. He does want to be working and extremely unpleasant. This is worst experience I have ever had.

I’ve been eating at Wagamama every time I come to London since 1997, when there were many, many fewer locations. The food is consistently good, of high quality, and it’s a reliable place to eat when touring around London and looking for something easy, wholesome, and they isn’t readily available in most of the US. The concept still amazes me. My meal at the Kensington location was excellent. The chicken on the teriyaki soba could have been a little less cooked but otherwise everything was perfect. Service was quick, easy, and efficient, as always. Highly recommended.

Its the same menu at every wagamama but this one has wonderful staff members. Smilingly and helpful people.

Manel was super professional! The service was excellent. And the food was tasty.

The food was very good, they forgot my veg k dog and the girl who welcomed us wrote down our wrong number hahaha. Other than that, everything was very good, the food was delicious, the right size and good quantity.

I went there to eat by myself and I had a chicken gyoza and chicken katsu curry, unfortunately, the gyoza was a bit cold but the manager there (Judith) changed it for me and offered me dessert on the house! what a good and unexpected gesture! I definitely will be back

Food in Wagamama is always good and tasty. It’s a safe choice when it comes to eating out.

Service was a bit slow, but very good with allergies. Run of the mill franchise japanese food.

Very poor Food was either so salty that it was inedible or so over cooked it was foul. My dining partner sent back their prawns in panko breadcrumbs, overcooked, prawns completely chewy and breadcrumb coating rock hard. Avoid, as the food is cooked and then cooked again. A culinary disaster zone!

We had lunch here on the day we landed in London. My kids loved the Prawn Kushiyaka, the Pulled Pork gyoza and the Chicken prawn Pad Thai.

Visited Wagamama Kensington High Street for their relaunch. They are situated on the 1st floor and the dining room is large and spacious. There is an open kitchen at the rear of the dining room. The seating area is fairly large with tables and benches. The new menu was good especially the Prawns and the Spicy Calamari. They also have a new selection of Cocktails. The service was very good with friendly staff and a great ambiance.

Genuine warm and friendly staff made me feel very welcome. They have a lovely attitude with food allergies, no fuss and very simple but efficient. I felt safe and really enjoyed my first visit to this chain. I had the delicious and fragrant vegetarian katsu curry which wasn’t too spicy. Thank you 🧡 ps. the cherry rose petal cocktail was divine !

Lovely food. I was being served by Walli in wagamama Kensington high street. The service was awesome. Walli was lovely and helpful. Since, I am vegetarian she recommended me a starter which was delicious. Being a vegetarian you don't get as many options but I am so glad wagamama has introduced some lovely items on the menu.

The food was delicious, great service and the staff were delightful. Special thanks to Patrick, the kindest server who recommended some great dishes but also gave us some lovely tips about things to visit in London.

We had a lovely lunch today. It wasn't too busy, and the service was quick. Rosario, who served us, was very polite. We will be back soon. 😁

Amazing food. We had pad thai, soba noodles and chicken ramen and everything was delicious. TITUJ (hope I spelled it correctly) was extremely kind with us. I want to thank him. Would definitely reccomend Wagamama Kensington.

Usual Wagamama food in a very busy and noisy venue.

Cool Asian food chain. Loved the drinks and the pad thai. The place is on the third floor but there is an elevator if you don't feel like walking.

Was pretty good considering my dining experiences in London were hit and miss. Ramen was soggy but the gyoza broth and veggies were good.

Really good chain, quick service, tasty food and the room had some legit space! The pork belly ramen was really good and tasty, I would recommend that! I would recommend the smoothies/juice to try as well, as for the yuzu cocktail it was a bit too sweet

Felt really confident eating here as a coeliac on a strict gluten-free diet. Staff were fantastic about answering questions, and providing fresh, clean cutlery. Wagamama use an app to check allergens and necessary substitutions but it’s also on the menu.

A fab place to eat great value and good food

The food was nice but should you to wait until you have almost finished your food to be given your drink? This was partly due to lots of staff wandering about but not doing anything.

Very poor service here. Didn’t get drinks till we were almost finished our meals. Plenty of staff wandering round doing nothing much. No cutlery on the table and had to ask for it a couple of times. Food was good though so well done to the kitchen.

They were out of stock of the vegan lion’s mane ‘steak’ dish which seems bizarre considering the dish is plastered on all their advertising. Apparently they had been out of stock of it for days. Was really looking forward to it.

Some Wagamamas aren’t that good but this one is excellent

First time with my young daughter who is very particular about her food. She’s always wanted to go here and I’d never been before. Our experience was not too bad. BUT I would say it’s pretty basic. I can’t remember the name of the chicken soup thing I had but definitely needed waaay more flavour. It was very bland. My daughter’s little teriyaki chicken kids bowl was not bland however. Very tasty. From my experiences (as a black woman) with other people of colour their food is NOT bland at all lol so I was surprised the chicken soup thing with all the leaves and noodles was lol but hey it might just be the chef having a bad day and forgot to dash the all purpose seasoning or old bay in who knows! lol Anyway we also ordered duck bao buns which was nice and the chicken skewers. The skewers were newborn tiny in size 🤦🏽‍♀️You only get 3 which was disappointing especially for the price. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name but he was really lovely and offered us free dessert to try as we had never been before. I think it’s called dochi ice cream. It was coconut flavour and it was lush. Overall it was ok. I’d go back but probably to another area though

Terrible service!! No cutlery and sauce basket on the tables . Our Katsu curries arrived late and cold. Charged extra for the extra salad, which I was never charged before. The service was awful and the place was more of a greasy cafe than a resturant. I have been to many Wagamama restaurants in London and never had such an awful experience.

I had an amazing lunch of one of the new hot bowls on the menu and was served by a very kind Brazilian waitress called Michelle . The service was brilliant and it was all very relaxed

Excellent customer service. Was looked after by a lovely Brazilian waitress (sorry cant remeber her name). Food was served quickly. I highly recommend trying the Vegetable Katsu. Wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu.

Amazing food, fresh and not too expensive!

Entered at about 9pm. It was fairly busy. A number of tables to the back where designated as reserved. However there was another table to the right of a group of people, behind a column, which was empty. I asked if we could sit there because both my wife and I have hearing issues (I need hearing aids). We struggle to hear each other in noisy environments. The greeter said we could not sit there and would have to sit in the middle of the restaurant amid a fair amount of noise. I asked again if we could sit on the empty table (which was made up) to which she again denied even after explaining the hearing issues. I asked one last time… again she said no, so I told her to forget it and walked out. Zero ability to accommodate customers with disabilities. Avoid!

Good food, easy walking distance of the Albert Hall.

We went to wagamama in different places over the years. This was certainly the worst. The food lacked seasoning and was blend, the service was rushed or much rather non existent. Nobody came to bring menus or to take our order, or to pick up dirty plates (even though we stayed quite a while after finishing). We thought this was a safe choice whilst visiting London but at the end of the day, it was the worst restaurant we visited during our 6 day stay.

Nice food. Quite busy at lunch time, if you want to avoid come a bit earlier! Payment is really easy, do not need to wait much.

I've eaten at several Wagamama restaurants over many years. Came here for lunch and soon as we sat down we decided to leave as the music was thumping, impossible to a conversation. It's beyond me why restaurants do this. Who wants to have to shout to one another during a meal? As we left we told the waitress the reason we were leaving & she "I'm sorry about that" How about offering to turn the volume down. I've eaten here before & it wasn't a problem.

Weird and long stairs to get in, but nice big window. Food is standard wagamama.

Very worthwhile ”fast casual” restaurant along the lines of Japanese fusion. Good, but not exceptional food, reasonable portions, good value. Bench seating, kind of like a bierstube. Excellent service. We’d gladly go again.

We had another gorgeous lunch at Wagamama Kensington, there was plenty of space for us even though it was lunch time, the food as always was very tasty and we had great service. We've never had a bad meal at Wagamama and hopefully that carries on.

The experience was overall good, as expected, but I was a little bit disappointed by the katsu curry this time. It just didn’t taste as good as it used to.

Far too noisy to even have a conversation or not get startled by people shouting. Has become too expensive for what it is (at least at Kensington High Street)

Das Essen ist sehr gut, mir gefällt auch stets die offene Küche. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Einzig der Raum zum Essen an sich ist furchtbar laut, 1 offener hoher Raum ohne Stoff oder Abtrennungen, die den Lärm etwas dämpfen.

I wanted a quick lunch. This wasn’t what I was looking for. To start with, the menu I was given was tacky with other people’s fingerprints. I asked if I could have another one. My waiter brought me one, but instead of wiping down the first one, stuck it back in the pile as it was. Not impressed and almost left at that point, but I didn’t have time to go somewhere else, so ordered two first courses: crunchy squid and chilli mushrooms. The squid tasted as if the coating was made of cardboard. The mushrooms were so finely shredded they didn’t really taste of anything, just crunchy splinters. Perhaps I was unlucky, but at £20 for two small plates and a Diet Coke this was not a good deal.

First time at Wagamama ever. Decent interior for a chain restaurant, very attentive and friendly staff. Great ramen noodles. Did not liked the option to pay by scanned QR code - actually the part where I must enter my names, email and other personal information. Paid by card instead.
