1st visit. Attracted by the fusion menu & decided to try. Love the feel of warmth hospitality the moment I walk in. Staff were very friendly, patient & professional in recommending, explaining their dishes. He even google & showed me pictures. The taste was pretty good, but the price is on a slight steep scale. Business is danm good. It's full house & I could see customers queuing outside. Love best is the kirltchen set up because you can see the chefs preparing the food.

Food is mild, prices are too high for that mild taste, waitress is gonna call you “lovely”and approach every 5 minutes and just look at the state of that spoon

Lost count of the number of different Wagamas that I visited. Loved pretty much every single one of them. This one wasn't exception. Our spanish waitress was lovely

It's a chain so accept it for what it is. Service is good the food is good it can be a bit overwhelming as tables are quite close together but all in all is great value for money. Oh one last thing the portions are LARGE.

Excellent restaurant! The waitresses are really very nice and have a great interest in the customers. Before ordering, we ask about allergies and advise which dishes to avoid, which is really great and reassuring for those suffering from allergies. The BBQ Korean pork ramen was amazing. I recommend!

We got an email from wagamama saying they were giving out 50 free ramen meals at 3pm, we turned up at 2:59 and they said they had run out of the free ramen. Cheap way to try and get customers in

I had to leave a review about the food in this branch, ordered two ramens yesterday, but it wasn't ramen, some over cooked cheap quality instant noodles, the broth was very thin favoured, menma (fermented bamboo sheets) were soft and felt like from used by date can. I was deeply offended, back home you wouldn't give beggars this kind noodles, sorry for anyone eat there! do people know what ramen should be?

Great food fantastic service, only problem was front door blowing open with icy blasts, would have been cozier sitting upstairs but that was shut.

Chosen Wagamama (again) everywhere i go. Been here yesterday on my Lunch time. Served by a very lovely and friendly lady named Naomi. I keep my eyes on her whenever she walk around to every customer to make sure if their food is ok.

I woke up early in the morning and it was nice to be able to eat quietly without anyone around. The food was delicious too!

The place is well located, good food for a chain, the bad thing is the wait and the attention!

Went on New Year’s eve and although it was mobbed, got a seat straight away in a nice quiet corner. Food was amazing as always but only leaving this review to shoutout our amazing server, Martina! She was so lovely, accommodating and really made our experience that much better. Good job gal, even the girls at the table next to us said how sweet she was :) Happy new year x

Lovely food and usually great service when you enter the door however after a while the waiters seem to forget about you and not come back to offer drinks or provide cutlery. However the food is delicious

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who offered great recommendations for first-timers. Ordered the chicken teriyaki donburi and Shirohashi ramen. The rice was flavorful, the chicken tender and well-seasoned, and the side of kimchi had a great taste. The ramen was decent, though a bit bland, with the pork overpowering the soup. Egg was excellent!

We were told that it should be 10-15 minute wait for a table of 6. Fair enough big table but over 30 minutes later we were seated. Queue was long as wet weekend but servers were all sunning themselves in Mexico. Finally ordered and received our Luke warm, bland food, edible enough. Ready for desert, given we were there for a birthday, 35 minutes later and our waitress is back in Cancun with her margarita, spoke to a different waitress who was kind enough to clear our plates and said she’d let our waitress know we were ready to order desert 😴😴😴 around 15 minutes later, as I’m putting my coat on, the wee lassie reappears, refreshed from the Mexican sun and a touch of patron. Told her life’s too short, we’re leaving, much to her disdain. Can honestly say I’ll never be back 🤷‍♀️

We decided to have lunch in here yesterday. Sorry we did! The staff are not trained properly. They served one meal, I had to ask if my meal was coming, still had to wait waited for a glass of wine and buns, by which time my son had almost finished he meal. Really. A meal together means you eat together. I ended up with indigestion as mine was too greasy and virtually rushed out to accommodate a party of ten, which included very young children who he wanted to seat separately-really. Obviously, the very patient mother of some of the children politely refused that. Why the Manager didn’t open the upstairs part, I will never know. Having managed a busy eatery in London, I certainly cannot recommend this branch. Frantic and disorganised.

We had an amazing server on our visit called Naomi. When my food arrived and didn’t taste right she not only got the kitchen to make me a slightly different dish very quickly (which tasted so much better!), but also was so attentive and went to great lengths to make sure that my partner and I were enjoying our meals. She was friendly, happy, and a credit to the restaurant.

I went to this place with some friends who were visiting Scotland for a short time. When we got there, we received the food and drink menus right away. The service was good, although we had to wait a little longer than expected, which didn’t really bother us. When the food arrived, it was really tasty. I would highly recommend it and plan to return. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that we asked for water when we first arrived, but it didn't come until after our meal. Also, we noticed there were only knives on the table and no cutlery, and the server just tossed it on the table when it finally came. The service was a bit slow for a Wednesday night, but we were patient and didn’t mind too much.

Had a good time here for dinner. Food was fusion style but tastefully done. Love the atmosphere and the vibes from the staff serving us both. Wish I can come back again but will leave a good comments here instead since we are not from this country. Highly recommended. Well done all!

The food is very good, and the good thing is that they serve dinner at a good time for Spaniards, since in the Old Town they close everything at 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Delicious food and great service

Maybe the worst Wagamama I’ve ever been to. Ordered medium cooked steak soba, steak was so overcooked it was impossible to bite into, had one bite and was chewing for ages. Told the waitress and they knocked 9 pound off the overall bill however the steak soba is £19 meaning I paid £10 for essentially egg noodles, some barely cooked back Choi, beansprouts and soy sauce. Bf said his noodles tasted really greasy and oily.

Honestly, 5/5. They were so kind to us when we arrived, a server was with us immediately and the food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. Everything was very flavourful but the hot honey fried chicken was AMAZING! We’ll definitely come back.

my first time, and will be my last time. very overpriced for it’s taste. I have tried the similar ramen with the same price, same class of restaurant in another one, but the taste is very different compared each other. the wagamama is more “western” than other asian restaurant. As an asian, I’m gonna say that it is not asian oriental or even asian restaurant. I can’t taste my meals either is it sour/sweet/salty/spicy at that night. just gross.. it was the worst experience ever.

Delicious hot pot on a rainy day!

Ah, Wagamama, where the customer service is as warm as the freezing outdoor breeze. We arrived at 4pm on a Saturday, thinking we’d enjoy a nice meal indoors. Silly us. Apparently, we missed the memo that we were supposed to be part of an outdoor exhibit — no signs, no instructions, just vibes. After standing inside for a brief moment (because, you know, warmth is a human necessity), we were promptly kicked out. How charming! It’s not our fault we weren’t immediately greeted by a staff member who had clearly just come from a seminar on "How to Replicate the London Attitude." I’ve met tube station attendants with more warmth. We waited outside in the cold for a good 10 minutes, while there were plenty of empty seats inside. If you’re into passive-aggressive customer service and recreating that authentic London experience, this is your spot! Cheers, Wagamama, for the chills — in more ways than one.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating to our various needs. Not one eye blink and even some bland chicken cooked as requested for my son who only eats that. Food for the rest of us was great too! Great experience all around.

Food was beautifully fresh and waitress was lovely

We’re long-standing fans, and I’ve been eating in various Wagamama’s for almost 25 years. It doesn’t matter how quiet or busy the places are, they’ve got a perfect way to set the ambience with subtle lighting and table setup. Today was just like any other, though the squid was overdone and chewy. It wasn’t bad enough to complain, but my son wouldn’t eat it, though it’s his favourite dish.

I tried the grilled chicken ramen and it was honestly very disappointing.

I cannot believe the waiter is so rude….We just got in the restaurant and he asked us to get out and wait outside the glass door. No explanation at all. Obviously there are a lot empty tables. I understand it is the dining peak hour however the waiter’s altitude is very bad. I have been to wagamama in other cities many times and I Won’t be here ever again.

Avoid. Our server literally never came to our table at all. People who were seated 10-15 mins after us were served before our server even came to our table to say hi and ask for drinks. Instead, she was forgetting dishes at tables in our area and stood at the front doors laughing with other employees. She didn’t seem to care as to why we left. Yuck.

We came here twice during our 3 day visit to Scotland. Sandra was amazing and kind. She took care of my son who was not feeling well by making sure he had right things to eat. Her kindness is appreciated - Wagamama Edinburgh fans!

Sadly the server forgot to process our order. He didn't notice for 30 minutes. Forgot our drinks. Waited 40 minutes for them. When food arrived was wrong order. Polite server but he was really struggling and not keeping track.

I have been to this particular place about 10 times maybe more. I cannot fault it at all. The food is spot on the service is fantastic I can’t complain one bit.

Very RUDE waiter. He brought the wrong order( rare steak instead of ordered well done) . Then insisted me on eating it. Great food location and service

The ramen noodle was overcooked and bloated, it was like they were cooked in the broth rather than briefly blanched in water separately. The distinct chew quintessential to ramen noodles was absent. We appreciated the condiments provided as the broth needed significant adjusting to have the umami flavour that is normally provided from the tare component of ramen. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but if you are a ramen connoisseur, i recommend trying other menu items.

We really need one in inverness! Food is amazing and never disappoints 🥰

Average Chinese restaurant. We ordered Pad Thai, which did not taste much, and Thai Beef Salad, which was good. We did not get our food at the same time, 10 minutes apart, which was quite disappointing.

Our party stopped at Wagamama a bit after 21:00. There wasn't long of a wait and we were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating on the main floor but also has an upstairs seating area. The service staff was extremely friendly. Drinks arrived promptly and food came quickly after (though this might be because of the late hour and fewer patrons). For my drink, I ordered the "Green Samurai" which is a blend of melon liqueur, yuzu, and Asashi beer. It was excellent! Other members of our party really enjoyed the Cherry Blossom Lemonade and the Yuzu + Lychee tonic. As an appetizer, we ordered a round of the vegan K-dogs. Covered in crunchy noodles, a vegan mayo and sriracha, these protein-packed corndogs were delicious! For a main, I went with the Vegatsu (a vegan take on a chicken katsu). The curry sauce was delicious and the tofu had a nice, crisp, fried breading. It was a very filling dish. I also sampled my partner's tofu gochujang rice bowl. It had a pleasant kick of spice and a medley of delicious vegetable flavors. Overall, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely visit again!

Phoned to see if I could change my order, was met with a standoffish member of staff who told me I had to contact Deliveroo which I did and they told me to phone the restaurant and it was going round in circles, this must’ve been the last order of the evening and they must’ve wanted to close asap! However after this phone call I then received my order to my surprise (not) it came wrong, instead of chicken raisukaree I got prawn when it clearly states it’s marked as chicken (not to mention the poor amount of curry sauce), even the top of the take away tub is marked, so thanks guys £36 down the drain 👍🏼

It might just be me but god it was heavenly, the food was a 100/10, i ordered number 69 (sticky rice, 100/10 beef, carrot, green stuff). The food was out very quickly even though it was crowded, it was a little noisy but it's understandable. Their system works great, i don't regret going there AT ALL. Everything was so great.

Great visit to this branch when we’re fans of the chain. Not overly busy so the wait was only a few minutes. Location is central to New Town too so easy to get to.

Probably unfair rating it on a Friday evening dinner service. Didnt have to wait long for a table, about 15 minutes, ended being on a shared high table near the door. Wasnt great but was bearable. Food was the usual fair, service from kitchen was a bit slow waiting for our mains. Our curry dishes seemed to have shrunk, curry was very thick and get a bit sickly towards the end. Was hard to get the attention of the waiters to get drinks refill and the bill. Ended up paying in cash as we couldn't be bothered waiting for thr waiting staff to come with the card machine.

Their hot and spicy ramen on a cold December evening was absolutely what the doctor ordered. Every mouthful filled stomach and heart with equal amounts of goodness and comfort.

I guess I'm grading the chain in general but I just ate at this one location. The stuff was very friendly and we didn't expect nothing more than salty fast food Asian flavour, which is why we actually enjoyed our meal, but if someone wants to have an authentic Japanese experience - this ain't it haha. The quality of ingredients seemed okeish, it actually tasted like something you'd prepare yourself at home as an amateur - which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but with the small portions and high prices it is - hence 3 stars. We were actually surprised that our rice bowl and noodles tasted kinda healthy and not greasy, because I guess we craved spicy fried chicken in glassy soses and we got something that you could call a light meal. Anyway, even though the quality was what we expected, after leaving the restaurant we realised that we paid £14 each for just ok noodles and rice and £7 for tiny micro bao bans, so the conclusion is that what you eat there is ok but doesn't justify these prices.

Nice restaurant that you can find a rich variety of Asian cuisine. We had to wait around 15 min at the door because it's a crowded place. Simone served us, he was very kind. We tried tama squid, chilli chicken ramen, chicken raisukaree and we liked them. The porsions were big.

Went in & was seated right away, given menus and then despite being sat near the bar where there were several staff doing things hanging about & passing the table every 2 minutes…we were not checked on for almost 25 minutes for a drink or food. I had to eventually ask to be served and upon explaining that we had sat for almost 25 minutes without service, our server said ‘thats okay’. And took our order as if we hadn’t spoken, food came and was average. I asked to pay and she said i could use the QR code, I explained my phone didn’t work with QR codes sorry & could i have the bill. A further 15 minutes later i had to go up and ask again for the bill. They were not busy and when she seen me she said ‘oh yeah your bill’ no sorry nor acknowledgement of the delay. She then presented the card machine with the option to tip & seemed irritated when I selected no. Wouldn't go back but by their attitudes they seem not to care less about customers anyway.

Many waiters are running around, busy doing nothing. Food was totally overpriced. Dumplings were dried out. 5 minuten waiting were 25 minuten. Do NOT recommend this place.

After the absolute disaster at Franco Manca round the corner, this was welcome. A warm reception, superb food, freshly cooked and quickly delivered to my table, and a friendly atmosphere all round. Lovely.

I had the pleasure of trying the Chili Chicken Ramen at Wagamama, and it was an absolute delight. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice to give it a kick without being overwhelming. The chicken was tender and perfectly complemented the noodles and broth. Highly recommended!

They did an awesome job of seating us on a busy Saturday night without any wait at all! The food was good, but as the waiter advised, a bit spicy. Would definitely go again!
