Wagamama in Cardiff

Fab service and excellent meals. Kat the manager was so good with us as my mum has an allergy. Can't recommend Wagamama and manager Kat enough for their knowledge, welcome and service. See you next time!

Went yesterday, children food had no flavour my daughter had to add soya sauce for just hot water in her ramen. Was put on a full table even tho the place at six clock was empty. I paid the amount charged and woke up to another payment taken. Phoned them was told I should have kept the receipt 🧾. Brilliant. I think it's about time to try local shop where they appreciate your attendance.

Yet another lovely meal at Wagamamas. One of our group has a peanut allergy and they were very helpful and knowledgeable regarding this. Amazing food and great staff. Will be back soon.

Came here last night for some food with some friends had a lovely server Ella full of energy when talking to us was as helpful as she could be! The food was hot and delicious also with the great service 10/10

I recently visited Wagamama Cardiff, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! The food was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was a burst of taste, but the standout for me was the chicken katsu curry, which was cooked to perfection. The customer service was equally impressive. The staff were not only friendly but also attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, adding a lovely personal touch to the experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I can’t recommend Wagamama Cardiff enough — it’s easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the city. If you’re looking for delicious food and outstanding service, this is the place to go!

Eat here often. Normally really good. But service was terrible on this occasion. Maybe because we ate at 4pm.....?

What is going on with this place - i ordered a delivery of a terriyaki chicken donburi and there was literally 3 pieces of overcooked chicken, just not acceptable. I ordered well in advance and when it finally arrived it was stone cold. Just look at the photo and see what i mean.

Traumatic visit today to Wagamama, near John Lewis. Was stuck in the toilet for nearly 15 minutes as the lock was faulty! Not a nice experience

Always excellent food, friendly staff, and good atmosphere. The only thing letting Wagamamas down is the app. It doesn't work correctly. Otherwise always an excellent time.

Went to wagamama today. Bare in mind this is my 2nd time ever being in this restaurant chain. I don't like giving negative reviews, even tho the food was excellent I can't say anything bad about that. But I thought the customer service was a bit poor. As soon as I went in I was taken to my seat and the waitress spoke so quickly I didn't know what she even said then she disappeared. So I kinda just sat there and didn't know what to do lol anyways after some time(A good 20 minutes) someone came along and took my order. And it didn't take long at all to arrive . Again the food was great! But I just felt a bit uncomfortable. None of the waiting staff barely said anything or smiled or anything 😅. Maybe that's how some places work these days. You go in get your food and go. I guess I am just used to more friendly places. Again I am not knocking the food but maybe just be a bit nicer or friendly or just bloody smile. I'm not asking a lot but just be nice to your customers that's all 😅

I really enjoy Wagamama’s food. This time was no difference in terms of food quality. What made the difference were the attentions of my waiter Dani, who made the experience special with his warm and enthusiastic attitude! Will definitely be back

La comida de Wagamama se basa en gran medida en pequeñas cantidades de proteína cocida suspendida en un caldo acuoso y como tal es bastante cara para lo que es. El peor aspecto es que el asiento es horrible - bancos duros y bajos que se fijan al piso y no se pueden mover. Como adulto, me sentía como si estuviera comiendo en el comedor de la escuela infantil en ese mobiliario educativo especial diseñado para niños. Demasiado bajo, demasiado duro y demasiado cerca de la mesa. Realmente incómodo. ¿Cuánto cuesta una silla decente? También pensé que el camarero era demasiado exigente para que votara por ellos por ser bueno -tan exigente que no hay manera de que votara por ellos-, lo estropearon. Iría de nuevo si pusieran más platos de relleno en el menú y obtuvieran asientos adecuados y el personal no siguiera y siguiera sobre su plan de incentivos que necesita que los clientes voten por ellos.

Mi servidor, Lizzie, era genial. Ella era muy amable y me hizo sentir muy bienvenido. Ella me hizo saber sobre el esquema de lealtad que consigue tus regalos también. La comida era preciosa como siempre.

Wagamama food is always pretty good. The only downfall was the Katsu Curry on this occasion. It seems as though the recipe had changed. Staff were lovely and friendly. Service was really quick as well for a busy day.

Amazing food. Best ramen I ever had. Nice vibe in the place as well. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Loved it.

Quite expensive for what you get and comparing to traditional food of each culture, it doesn't really come close.

The food was ok , however we had to download an app to pay the bill, which was annoying because we also needed to create an account to sign in. This also comes with all the junk e-mail and spam. In the past it was easier , didn’t like it at all now

Just got it delivered and tasted like gas and melted plastic honestly inedible. Disgusting

Sin embargo, nuestro servidor Lizzy era increíble y absolutamente hizo nuestra visita, dos veces verificado si teníamos alguna alergia, nos recordó acerca de las ventajas de la aplicación y en general era simplemente agradable y agradable para nosotros durante toda nuestra visita. No solo era encantadora para nosotros, sino que tenía exactamente la misma relación con todos los que nos rodean, fue francamente impresionante ver lo atractiva que era con la habitación. Un crédito absoluto a la industria de servicios y a la propia Wagamama, bien hecho.

My server Dani honestly deserves a reward or some kind of recognition he always makes my experience a pleasant one. He goes above and beyond every time and is always a friendly face. Please give him some kind of reward for his hard work as I don’t know many other servers this pleasant, as someone who works in hospitality myself I know it’s hard to always put on a smile and he does it so effortlessly. I shall be sporting my little Dani sticker that he gave me!

I was starving as I didn’t have breakfast so I went to have lunch at Wagamamas. The service was immaculate! Our waiter, Calum, was amazing and he entertained me by speaking French to me. I am currently learning French so it was nice to practise my oracy skills. He assisted us with ordering the foods with the flavours that we desired making the experience feel more relaxed. The food was delicious and it arrived very quickly! Would recommend and I highly hope that Calum is my waiter again! As in French, “Cinq étoiles” meaning “Five Stars.”

I came to Wagamamas in Cardiff on Saturday the food was amazing and my server Grace was lovely.

First time here and only because Wahaca across the road turned me away for not having a card and asking to ay by cash! Amazing experience, despite it being a very busy afternoon we were served quickly and professionally by friendly staff. The food was first class and they serve free tea. As for payment, everything accepted. They have an old fashioned approached to how customers are dealt.

Gave a 5 because the service was great!! Ordered something I’ve never had before when I should have stuck to my usual so that’s my fault.. Our waiter Nick was very friendly, he advised me to download the app to claim free edamame and i love edamame so I was very pleased with that! There was also a waitress that was new to working there and she was lovely too! If i ever visit Cardiff again i’ll come and get my usual.

Reliable and quick service - especially on busy lunch rushes. Servers always helpful and friendly. Food is delicious! Some of the dishes could do with a little tweak to the portion sizing - some more rice with the specials or bulk out with crunchy salad would be good. Overall, a reliable regular lunch stop when in the office.

Food was mediocre. It wasn’t busy on the day we went and I know the food doesn’t come out at the same time however my partner practically finished her meal before i even got mine. Service was very poor with one staff member being rude us and had the worst attitude!

Delicious food, huge portions and so much flavour. Always have a good meal at Wagamamas and was very pleased that both meals came out at the same time (even though I don’t mind when they come out seperately), it was nice that the waiter explained this to us in advance. Always my go to when out shopping/exploring somewhere. You always know when you’re going to get a good meal!

Went for a chill meal and catch up with my friend. Had belly pork ramen and duck buns, all was good. Had a lovely waiter, Laura she was very helpful. I asked a question about the new brunch and she was kind enough to get me a menu to see what they had. Great atmosphere, food and service.

Told we had vegan diets prior seating, was sat and about to order our food when a new waiter came and told us that they can’t cook vegan food cause the vegan fryer is broken so everything will be cross contaminated. Yikes. Menu has gone down hill a lot since the last time I visited. We got up and left without ordering anything because of this.

Katie was fantastic! We’ve been to few Wags but the service in this one was a total standout, food was lovely as always and really clean throughout - thank you!

Fantastic Ramen and Asian cuisine! The Korean pork ramen was incredible, and the Korean can upon bowl had a lot of flavor. A must have tho- the bao buns! Lara was such a great server and made wonderful recommendations

The food is pricey and only Asian-styled, nothing feels or taste like the real dish it is meant to be inspired on. The service is average, not exceptional but not bad, just as you would expect from the average British business.

Don't order takeaway from them, portion sizes are considerably smaller than when you sit in. I ordered a hotpot today and not even half was in the bowl! Considering how much 1 hotpot is (around 17 quid), I expected the same portions I would've gotten sitting in the restaurant. You're better off going somehwere else

Freshly cooked, delicious food with the best ingredients. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The prices very competitive. The only thing I can fault is that the music is too loud. That is a personal issue though.

Tried the new butternut squash curry and the flavours are literally INSAAAAAANE. Can't believe this is a veggie dish, I am so here for it. Our server Grace was absolutely lush and super helpful too! Good vibes all round 😍

I ventured out yesterday for the first time in a few month's, due to ill health. I stopped at wagamas, looking at the menu unsure what I am able to eat. A young man ( wish I had taken his name ) assisted me with the menu. Explained what was in or not in the food. I had a wonderful salmon dish, I would like to that him so much for his assistance with finding something I am able to eat, whilst on cancer treatment A massive thank you

I ordered chicken cutlet curry and smoked chocolate cake. Japanese rice was used for the curry. Both were delicious!

First time here and didn’t know what to expect, ordered a glass of white wine and went for the steak teriyaki soba, Got asked how I wanted it cooked so as usual I went for medium rare, didn’t take too long for the order to come to the table, when the food arrived it looked good and was pretty hot. The steak was a bit over cooked and the some of the noodles were burnt. Presentation was pretty good but didn’t know what to expect. Would go back but maybe try something different.

Always good food. New things on the menu but I just wanted Ramen.

Chilli squid and chilli steak ramen is very good

Food was bland and very oily,have eaten in many branches of this chain,this was by far the worst. Asian food is normally seasoned. Our food had no seasoning

The main course meals were tasty. However, it is really fast food at very high prices. We were asked what we wanted to drink before we'd even sat down and looked at the menu. The rushed attitude was relentless. Apart from when 3 main courses arrived about 10 minutes before the person whose birthday it was main arrived. This only happened after someone came over and asked if we were still waiting for a meal. Overall, the experience feels mechanised and rushed. Not my kind of place for this kind of price.

Food was fabulous but staff did not return to help with the order and it took a while to get attention.

Locale accogliente e pulito, personale molto disponibile e attento alla clientela, hanno chiesto se qualcuno di noi avesse allergie o intolleranze. Piatti belli all'aspetto e buonissimi al gusto. Esperienza fantastica e consiglio di provare appena possibile. Non vedo l'ora di poter gustare altri piatti tipici.

We went here for lunch visiting friends and we had a lovely time! The food was so tasty and our server Thilini was amazing! She was very attentive and polite and made our experience that much better! Would definitely come here again!

Amazing food and fast friendly staff. Easily recommend the yaki udong and the ginger cheesecake. The chilly squid is also a must have.

Ordered yaki soba noodles with prawns and chicken, got three penny sized prawns and less than a small chicken thighs cut into 4 little strips. Pathetic portion of protein in relation to a plate full of noodles.
