Wagamama in Plymouth

Whenever i come here it is always lovely food. However i felt the service today from susie was amazing. I felt like she was a friend i hadn’t seen a while and any questions or needs were answered and sorted promptly! Thank you susie for a wonderful end to date night and i hope you get to watch kung fu panda 4 soon ;) xx

JOE!!!!! Fantastic human. Quick to come see us at our table provided excellent conversation and tips to the menu. Food was brilliant and quick to be served while being hot and steamy!! Would 10/10 recommend. (Joe if you see this. Thank you again. Made our night a brilliant and memorable one)

Collection placed for 6:30. Food came out at 6:55/7pm. Service and communication was not great, and the food was absolutely delicious

We were very exhausted when we got to the restaurant, the waitress was very enthusiastic. Moreover the toilet is big and clean

Japanese styles restaurant, was very busy when we went in but staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly considering how busy it was. Got a good selection of food and drink on the menu and also cover for different dietary needs, vegan ect. Would recommend if your after a quick and easy bite to eat.

A very pleasant evening at wagamama, the staff were great and the food good. Save room for desert, it will be worth it.

One star is enough for this place I forgot what i had but they brought with charcoal , it wasn’t nice at all i asked for change they brought same but it wasn’t chicken on it for 3 persons £75 that’s on believable for that food never again I recommend to not to go there at all

Wagamama is now too expensive. Yes, the food is great, but even with a £50 voucher, we still had to put £30 towards the bill. We only had 1 starter, 3 mains, and 3 drinks. So unfortunately will never return.

Went on a non reserved impromptu dinner on Sunday and was quite busy. We were greeted by a lovely host that was in her first days ( biggest and nicest smile) in RWY location. The food was amaazing crispy squid and pork gyoza to share and i had chicken ramen! plus chouxnut for dessert! i could eat everyday there and out waiter Joe was lovely. a great evening, couldn't fault it

Had our lovely server Holly! I’m super difficult for ordering food but she didn’t make me feel silly and helped me choose the alternatives I wanted! So lovely!

Always consistently stunning food, always helpful. Can be busy but a good quick turn around so you don't wait long.

The staff were super friendly and helpful; they explained the Wagamama process to me as it was my first time dining there. The food and drinks arrived swiftly. Everything was delicious and well-portioned. The atmosphere was cosy and the facilities were very clean. I highly recommend!

Food came out at different times and when I asked where my partner’s meal was they just said that’s how the orders are made at different times! So if you want to eat together at the same time you’re better off going somewhere else! The staff just said “Oh we are sorry about that”, offering no complimentary drink or anything. The first meal came and was eaten by the time the second meal came. Please note these were main meals no starter or dessert was ordered. Meal total was £29 not a good overall experience for the money.

Forgotten meals chased several times but still served after 3 other adults had been served and finished their meals

Waited a long time for our order to be taken. Quite a few items not available due to fryer being broken and had to ask for our order as it took so long to arrive. Couldn't get the pay at the table to work until the third attempt.

Family favourite, can't go wrong with a waggas

Lovely location for a Wagamama. Their deep frier was out the day we went though, so we couldn't get our favourites.

Amazing staff and food as always . The waitress had amazing knowledge and understanding of food allergies.

Our server Jane was really good, very friendly and helpful, our food was lovely, my husband wasn't too keen on the hoisin duck bao but that rest of our meal was lovely we recommend the cheesecake and Japanese treacle chouxnut very yummy.

Wonderfully friendly staff with great options for food related allergies. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is great. It does get very busy in the evenings, so if you're looking to go at a quieter time of day lunchtime on weekdays is always your best bet.

Tasty as always. Service is also very good. We didn’t have to wait for long.

It was pretty busy, and had to wait a while to get served. The pad thai wasn't up to the usual standard. Couldn't get anyone attention when trying to get the bill, so paid using the on line app which was pretty useful.

Very disappointing meal, with one main course left to stand for 10+ minutes before being served so the beef was tepid. Too much focus on takeout rather seated customers. Won’t be returning….

First time eating here, great meal, will be back again.

Super nice food great service from the last that initially sat us but afterwards we felt forgotten even after we had finished but the food initial person who sat us and atmosphere made up for it

Only the 2nd time we have visited since it opened in the Royal William Yard. Staff were excellent throughout. Seated quickly and given enough time to read the menu and order. My food was fine but my daughters was just bland, although cooked perfectly. Dessert was good. As it was busy when we left we paid via the QR code which was very easy. Overall the menu should suit most. A better option would be to go to Pho also in the same location.

They have rum, they have coke. You can’t buy Rum and Coke as it’s not on the menu. This is about the highlight of the service.🤦‍♂️😂

First time eating at wagamama's and will be my last. We went as a group of 8. All our dishes were very bland and not very inspiring. We asked the advice of the waitress on what to have as we had someone with us that doesn't like spice. We were told they could make any dish completely non spicy. What came out was very very spicy and after complaining we were told by another member of staff that it was very spicy and that's just how it comes. (That's fine, but why were we not told that in the 1st place). Overall very dissapointing, better off doing a stir fry at home.

I have been to wagamama several times. We went today. The food was good except for my daughter's ramen which had what looked like a bit of plastic in it. We called the waiter and he really didn't seem that interested. He went away I was expecting some response but he did not return. I thought this was very poor

This review is long overdue! Fresh, tasty, morish food that leaves you so satisfied. Staff are knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. We have been many times Thank you.

Service is exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Connie was appointed to look after us. Food was abysmal, myself and partner ordered the steak ramen noodles. My noodles were what I thought to be undercooked and clammy, my partners on the other hand very tasty and cooked to perfection. I only had 2 mouthfuls of my meal as it was truly horrid. However my meal got taken off the bill, just a shame I had to walk away on an empty stomach and left disappointed. The seating could do with improvements, especially introducing proper seating with back support. Overall I would rate it a 1/5 on the food, 5/5 on the service, 3/5 for the restaurant overall. Hopefully one day I will return and leave a happy customer next time.

Had a really lovely time, our server Ania (I think, can’t quite read the name on the menu sorry!) was really wonderful, super kind and hospitable, and very clear and patient answering questions and explaining the menu for us. Really appreciated her kindness and made us want to come back again, one of the loveliest servers I’ve ever had <3

Always amazing. My favourite place to eat out as a treat. Free green tea! Always a bonus. I ordered the shirodashi pork belly ramen. Which is melt in your mouth, 🤤 drool down your chin, 🙏 please my bowl never be empty -Delicious! Also had the duck gyoza as a starter. Which were amazing 👏 😍. Also got a discount for working at the Block, the offices within Royal William Yard, which was a nice surprise, as the waiter made me aware of this. Which was an added bonus. You can be sure I will be regularly coming back for that amazing ramen 😋.

Popped in for lunch after a meeting. We were sat quickly and told our server was on break for another 20 minutes soon we would have another server. She came over quickly and was friendly and smiley, took our order and it did arrived as normal. We can definitely recommend the new salmon gyoza! After the food was delivered we were then forgotten about, despite numerous attempts to catch any servers. Around 20-25 minutes after we had finished we finally managed to grab a sever from another table to take a desert order. All this time our finished dishes remitted uncleared - even after the server took our order! It was only on the delivery of desserts that the table was cleared, though empty glasses were left. The staff seemed much more interested in gathering around to open a parcel delivered by DPD than waiting on tables. We came during a lunch time and usually I would give the benefit of the doubt due to holiday season. However, the location is at around 1/3 capacity and the staff are leaning on the till chatting as I write this! The food was wonderful as always, so well done to chefs. The servers let the side down this time and are the result of this less than 5* review.

When we arrived, we were greeted by two degenerates with unnaturally-coloured hair and piercings all over their faces, who consistently strolled over to our table and annoyed us during our experience. The starters and drinks we ordered were mediocre and the main course was so underwhelming that I seriously considered flipping the freaks off as I prepared to leave. I used to think highly of this chain. However, them adhering to woke “culture” has entirely changed my view on the matter.

I love Wagamama's, it's a vibe and the food is amazing, staff are lovely and will happily explain and talk through any questions which is great. It is a bit pricey if you want the full experience of having multiple dishes.

It's all about the food here. Everything was hot and tasty and fresh. To me it's the best place to get ramen. They do a big selection of dishes including curries, bao buns, rice dishes and noodle dishes. You can never go wrong with a dumpling too. Staff were good but over welmbed and everything took so long to do. Drinks order was taken and 20 mins later they arrived. I get that it gets busy but more staff definitely would have helped. Overall didn't affect our experience and we will be back. I never remember to take photos of the food until I've eaten it 😅

Visited here quite a few times and have never had a bad meal! The staff are always friendly and attentive, the food is always fresh and tasty, and Royal William Yard is very trendy and picturesque. My personal favourites on the Wagamama menu are the chilli squid and the pad Thai. My partner likes the yasai Katsu curry and the white chocolate & ginger cheesecake. Will continue to visit in future :)

This is my favourite branch of Wagamama! The staff here are always so friendly and understanding, they go out of their way to give you a great dining experience. We were served by Ben, who was so great and friendly with us and our children, he even surprised them with a little ice lolly each! The environment was calm and inviting and the food was amazing as always! Looking forward to our next trip here.

Terrible experience. Poor service, disgusting noodles and we spent over £100. We've eaten here before and the food was great. The manager refused to come over and sort the issues out and left it to the poor waitress who had only been working there for 1 week or so. We were offered a free drink but didn't want that and were charged the full bill despite barely touching one meal which was a Ramen dish. Mine was fine but something was definitely not right with the noodles and the waitress did mention an issue with vegan noodles a while back. We were made to feel like we were trying it on, which wasn't fair!

Connie made this. They were engaging and really fun to speak to. I'd come back to see them again.

Fantastic night out with service to match! We were served mainly by Connor who was prompt, accurate and welcoming. Connor was able to help us with all of our requests, notably with the doneness of the Teriyaki Steak Soba, which was incredible! Thanks for a great night! Edit 27/12/22 Attended again last night, a slow start to the evening as I believe we were forgotten about for 20 mins! Understandable this time of year. We managed to grab the attention of someone who happened to be the manager on shift. The manager took care of us promptly and even offered us some free edamame for the wait. The food was fantastic as always, our original server came back and apologised about the wait to which we assured them was not an issue at all. Thanks again Wagamamas for a great night, still 5 stars!

Lovely food packed with flavours!! My only criticism would be if starters came out as starters. One starter came out then one main and a little while later the second main and starter came out. Really nice food though

Went there this Saturday (10.12.22) Beautiful place, amazing food and great customer service! Will go again.

Was taken to Wagamamas for a birthday meal from my partner Katie. We arrived and was greeted by an enthusiastic member other staff who seated us quickly. We waited for 10 minutes before a waiter came over and explained he was busy with another table and would be with us soon. We than waited another 8 minutes before the said waiter returned. He took are drinks & food ordered & asked if there were any alleges. We said yes & he explained that alleges were dealt with best they could & he placed label on my table mat. We then waited a further 25 minutes before the couple next to us ( who arrived 20 minutes after us) had their food delivered. Katie then got up & went to see our waiter who was clearly busy sorting out take away meals for Deliveroo which he & 5 other table waiters were trying to sort out as a priority. My main arrived but not our sides & Katie's main arrived 10 minutes a later after them being promted again. We got so frustrated with the bad service we ended up cancelling our sides & paying for only the drinks we had. We walked out 2hrs later having the worst of experiences and my birthday ruined. In short, to go to Wagamamas (Plymouth) it's simply not worth it!!!!!!! 👎👎👎👎👎

Ordered £100 worth of food, deliveroo gave us the wrong order, and apparently there’s “nothing they can do” from the restaurant so we just have to order again, pay again, and the kitchen has to make the food AGAIN. How is a restaurant this blasé about food waste?? Whoever got our food will probably not eat it, and we can’t eat the wrong order that we had delivered because of food allergies - so it just goes to waste. I understand it’s also a deliveroo problem but if deliveroo are that inefficient then maybe a massive chain like Wagamama’s shouldn’t use them. They could just not be so cheap and hire their own delivery people - they definitely have the money.

Went to try the new vegan menu and had no duck tombusi, bang bang cauliflower and banana katsu. It was good, especially the cauliflower. Tasted the vegan sticky ribs and the vegan chili squid which was also good Seats are not that comfortable at the benches when sat for a full menu and drinks

Friendly staff . Well cooked food . Previously a regular customer to Wagamama in Exeter which has gone downhill over the last few years. This was a nice surprise to come to Plymouth and have lovely attentive staff and food was cooked to perfection.
