Lovely vibrant atmosphere. Great customer service. Gorgeous home cooking, full of flavour very tasty. Perfect for my friends 50th Birthday.

Really Nice food and restaurant. But staff are a little too present. We had 3 different members of staff checking on us and at some points the just stood and watched!

This is my go to Indian restaurant. The king prawn purée is the best I have had. The king prawns they use in their dishes are the best… large and meaty. Always good food and service.

Just been to Vujon in Brough. Anyone who has never been there is missing a trick. Best Indian Restaurant in Yorkshire. Brilliant tasty food Great staff. Beautiful setting. Been going for years. Get booked in before you can’t

Samosas and bhajis nice. Main courses somewhat bland and tasteless, like a can of tesco nameless curry with chicken mixed in. Two dishes absolutely swimming in oil. Tray of dhal had literally half an inch depth of oil on top of it, and once I drained it off, the dhal was totally tasteless. I won't be going back.

Walked in tonight, ordered two meals,had a corbra beer whilst i waited,Abdul greeted me very pleasant, unknown to me i got home and extras were in the take away bag,food as always very tasty, i recommend this Voujon, Barry Taylor.

While visiting friends nearby, we ordered a takeaway from here. Having heard nothing but good things we enjoyed our food, only disappointment being it was not as hot as I would have expected. But a quick reheat in the microwave sorted that out! We had the Murgi Badam and Gost Pathwari with pilau and lemon rice's and peshwari and chilli and coriander naans. Very nice!

Visited here on Saturday the 18th of June…. Lovely restaurant and atmosphere, attentive staff and great service especially from Syed. We had a variety of dishes and sides including chilli chicken masala, butter chicken mixed platter and sides… everything was hot, flavoursome and delicious. Our friends first visit to Brough and they gushed and said it was one of the best Indians they had eaten in a long time. Thank you all 🙏😊

Had takeout for 4 tonight but each dish tasted the same. Too much sauce and tough chicken in the Butter Chicken. We've used Voujon regularly since it opened but this will be the last time.

restaurant ambience was very nice. Well laid out, nice pictures on the wall and very clean. Main Meals were very nice, hot and plenty to eat in most cases. The odd main meal could have more to it. The only disappointing part of this experience was that the desserts were not as those shown on the desert menu, this was especially the Ice Cream Sundae in a plastic cone just like what comes from an ice cream van and not was shown in the picture. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Recommend to visit so booked well ahead for 4 people, on arrival the restaurant was busy and we were shown to our table, and quickly served with poppadums. The spice tray was not great, still onwards & upwards. Chatting with our friends we were surrounded by waiters and asked to move, as a large party had arrived and the only empty tables were either side of us, by us moving the our table & one other could be put together to accommodate the party. We reluctantly agreed and stood, only for the team to ignore us and start putting the tables together, when we grabbed our drinks, one waiter apologised and began to help, though others ignored our food moving away Seated, the waiter appeared with more free poppadums, though these were not eaten as no-one wanted a second course of poppadums A waiter appeared to take our main order and was a little pushy, clearly wanting the order , when it came to me I gave my order to see the waiter pen poised looking across the room. He then asked fir the order, and I explained he had asked, been given it and chose to ignore me. Food arrived, it was good, not memorable though the large party with children under 10 spilt drinks, ran around, and threw bread st each other, not the restaurant fault, but perhaps indicative of a poor experience. Won’t rush back

Oh dear what has happened? Been here since it opened but home delivery tonight was like it was from a completely different restaurant! Bland, reheated and just disappointing in taste.

We arrived at 7.pm on a Wednesday evening without a booking and found we could walk straight in as there was only one other couple in at that time.....The restaurant is very nicely done out and we were seated immediately...Unfortunately that's all the good points....The Mixed platter was overcooked and tasteless..I being a shaslick fan was looking forward to my mains it was at the best ok.....My partner ordered the Korai balti which she said it tasted very pasty the guy offered some mint yogurt sauce???? He then went to the kitchen and delivered a new one which was of similar taste...the bill was £60 which was in our view too much for the quality of meal we received and we won't be going back in a hurry!

My first time visiting Voujon after many recommendations from friends and the community. We arrived early and was swiftly taken to our table. Unfortunately the tables are pretty shoved against the wall, you can’t pull a chair out fully and they’re also quite close together considering covid etc. I personally felt rushed to be quite frank from the moment I sat down. I appreciate it was the ‘mad weekend’ but I still expected to be able to enjoy a casual meal. I was asked for my drinks order before I’d sat down properly and I was asked if I was finished whilst I was eating my starter because the main was ready (not ‘your mains are ready would you like them now’ but ‘are you finished? ‘No? Well it’s ready?’). There’s a fine line between being attentive and rushing people and this felt rushed. We had also been seated very closely to the next table and our conversation was able to be overhead in full. I would without doubt recommend the food for a takeaway but I wouldn’t rush to go back to the restaurant.

Second time to visit Voujon this month…excellent food and service. Staff are attentive and very organised.

Visited on a Sunday evening, greeted and seated straight away with drinks taken shortly after. Poppadoms ordered and arrived promptly while looking at the menu. Great choice of items, food was piping hot when it arrived and delicious. Good service and a clean restaurant.

Have been visiting Voujon for years and the food is consistently great as is the service - can get a bit busy at times, particularly on weekends around 8pm so book in advance or try and book earlier / later on in the evening.

We went here sometime ago now, but the food was really nice, and we had an enjoyable evening. My husband and I ordered different items and we both enjoyed the meal. We shall certainly recommend this restaurant and be going back for another meal ourselves one evening.

Obviously, its a delivery, but wait and take a minute, this Asioan/Indian food is the best out there!!!.... believe me ive eaten lots of food. Again,I went for the Taftoon off the specials menu, amazing !!!! My partner wen for the Butter chicken, again from the specials menu, fantastic. Tried many dishes off the menu and they’ve all being fabulous. Tried chicken taftoon (hot dish) and balti tikka masala. Unlike some curries, Voujon curries actually taste aromatic and often include vegetables such as pepper and onion. Tonight we had to get delivery and was prompt and fresh.Look forward to eating in in the near future.

Well it’s New Year’s Eve after an awful year we thought let’s have a lovely Indian takeout for tea so Voujon was our choice always had good food. Order placed at 18.15 asked to come at 19:15 place was packed on arrival got food at 19:55 in front of people who were already waiting, ?? Got food home order was incomplete and un edible more sauce than anything separate cream floating on one dish, phoned and complained order would be re dispatched to home address clearly given including postcode 1hour later phoned to see where order was oh the driver has been knocked the door no answer, Nobody had knocked our door, driver dispatched again call from restaurant your not in driver completely in stone place hadn’t used postcode I said food will be cold got told you’ll just have to see won’t you and hung up on. Husband went down and we actually got an apology and a refund will never use again

Visited her on a Tuesday night had mixed starter which was dry. My wifes curry had enough chickpeas in it for about 5 curries and the lamb was dry. Mine was nice though but service was just 2 miserable blokes who couldn't be bothered.

We have had a number of takeaways from here but this was our first meal in the restaurant itself. We had booked that afternoon and glad we did as it was full. COVID-19 was reasonably well catered for with hand sanitizer and staff all wearing masks. The tables I thought were too close together.The menu is typical of British Indian restaurants and a few different chefs specials too. We decided to just take some poppadoms and pickles to start then ordered a main meal each. The main meal arrived about an hour after we sat down so that was disappointing. The food was good - I had a chefs special lamb chops and my wife the murgi badan (a mild chicken dish).Whilst the food was slow arriving the serving staff were efficient and friendly.

Great addition to the village. Without doubt the best curry house i have eaten in. Staff are great. The owner is always pleased to see you and takes great care of his customers. Food is superb and always very tasty.

The service at Voujon is second to none. The food and atmoshpehere is excellent and I can't recommend it highly enough. I've visited numerous times – family gatherings, work night's out etc and the standards never slip. We were let down by the Triton Inn at Brantingham today so at the last moment had to to book a table for seven, explaining what had happened. The manager and staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Food is perfect and service is always fast and friendly! Couldn’t recommend enough this is our go to restaurant in York!

The immaculate Voujon restaurant in brough, now is delivering during these challenging times, as ever with this place, the food is outstanding, professional service, great food as always, I had the Taftoon for a main which was great, My partner had the murgi maghani, both amazing, I dont say this lightly as we eat out quite bit but never diappoints. THANKS !!! tothe guys at Voujon.

The best indian I've had for ages. Had a takeway given current lockdown. We got 4 of the chefs specials and all were great. Each one had a very distinct taste (which you sometimes don't get at the average curry houses and they can all taste the same!) - would recommend the Murgh dishes and the peshwari naan. 10/10. Hope you guys do well in the midst of everything thats happening!

Great curry right in the heart of the village. If it’s takeaway or sit down always great flavour. Always tastes freshly prepared. Friendly service and nothing feel too much trouble for the staff. Hope you guys make it through the next few months. You are my list for what we are doing on the first weekend we are out!!! Good luck!

I always hear really good things about this place however we were so disappointed with our takeaway. We ordered a chicken korma which tasted nothing like a korma, on the menu it does state that some dishes may contain nuts but we disregarded this as my boyfriend eats takeaway chicken korma all of the time and have never had an issue before. However, please be warned that this korma contains peanuts!! My boyfriend who has a peanut allergy had a very serious reaction to the curry and our night in with a takeaway ended up in a&e! We also ordered a butter chicken which wasn't great either and the naan was burnt and soggy, definitely won't bother coming here again.

8 of us went for new years eve. Pre ordered the lamb which needed 24 hours to marinate. The place was full but there was enough staff on. We had a fantastic meal. Loads of nice wine reasonably priced. Struggled to finish it all so took some home in a doggy bag. Love coming here and can't wait for my next visit.

Visited this very popular Indian with friends on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a very decent meal with good service. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes including a large number of fish options. My king prawn starter was delicious as was my main of Lamb Tikka Saag, however, my wife’s mixed meat starter was over cooked and dry. Overall a good place to enjoy a decent curry. Recommended.

For me the service is very good but the food is very mediocre. It lacks presentation and seasoning. There are better Indian restaurants locally.

Ordered a takeaway quite recently. On arriving home, everything was not only cold, but had the look of dishes that had been prepared a long time prior to my order being placed. Separating gloopy curry, soggy Naan, and the rice was just in dried up cloddy balls of stodge. First and last, and I'll be telling my friends to avoid as if contaminated. Fur coat, no knickers.

This is THE BEST Indian Restaurant I have ever been to, nothing compares to the food in this restaurant. I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants and this one always comes out TOP.

In summery, food ok for most of us but waited 1hr and 15 mins for food to arrive after ordering, almost 2 hours after we arrived. Waited 1/2 hour for a drink. 1 fish dish had chicken in it, plates were taken away while we were still eaing what was on them, and when this was raised with the waiter he got aggressive and intimidating with me. No apology for the slow service just told what do you expect its a Saturday night and regards the chicken in the fish dish all we got was a shrug and walked away.

As always. Superb. 4 of us went 2 courses each. 1 bottle of wine. 4 beers. 60 quid a couple with tip. Staff friendly and efficient. Food lovely. Served quick and hot. The best Indian I have been to.

We normally go into hull for our Indian but thought we would try our local restaurant for the first time and was pleased we did. Both of us enjoyed our starters and main meal and will definitely be back !

We were regular visitors when the owners had their restaurant in Anlaby. Now come here every couple of months as it's 6 miles from home. As usual not disappointed. Food excellent service spot on. Well worth a visit

Visited for a work colleagues leaving do, impressed with decor ect but food was average, not as good as when it was in Anlaby common. Overpriced drinks so make sure you have a full before visiting, wont be hurrying back.

Went with friends on Saturday night. Nice choice of wines and decent prices the food was amazing and really tasty. Staff all very nice and friendly. Place was busy and had a nice feel about it.

Had a rare opportunity to meet up with a good friend from Leeds. Service was great, food was outstanding. Thanks to Abdul and his great chefs and waiting staff. Didn’t let me down and proved we can match the Indian Restsurants based in West Yorkshire.

This is a very nice local restaurant in Brough. I love their vegetable balti (apna style) and their nans - they are always polite and always efficient. The owner is a lovely fellow. Usually I don’t like Bangladeshi restaurants but I highly recommend voujon!

Years ago, when Voujon first opened, we paid a visit and had a poor experience. As a result, we stayed away for years. Recently, when we were having a new kitchen fitted and so needed to eat out more than usual, we decided to give it a try.

There was a good atmosphere. The food was great and the service was excellent.The prices were reasonable with a good choice.

Visited with 6 friends and had a fantastic night. The food was superb and I ate so much I had to be rolled home. Very reasonably priced for both food and drinks. Extensive menu that would suit even the hard to please diner. Will definitely be returning.

Been to Voujon many times and use it for takeaways regularly. Food is tasty, good value and consistent. Fantastic service too.

if you dont mind tatty cutlery chips in your dinner and side plate( not the eddible sort) watered down mango chuckney, apart from that food and service was ok wont be returning rather drive somewere else and not drink

Excellent meal, good service, very attentive waiting staff, no pressure, very relaxed atmosphere, pre meal seating, plenty of space between tables, very clean environment, friendly staff. All in all a very pleasant eating experience, we shall be back. Booking advised at weekends

We love going to voujon. The food is always amazing and all the staff are so friendly, sorry to see voujon anlaby has moved to Leeds, but it is definitely worth the drive to brough. All the food is so flavory, the mixed kebab starter is a must! We Have never been disappointed it's always amazing! :)

Been coming here for a long time ,but lately every curry you seem to have is far to hot ,to the point where is not enjoyable

Went with a few lads after a sherbet or two and we had a very good meal. All curries where well cooked and as per description on the menu. Busy which is always a good sign so looking forward to returning again soon.

Once again we paid a visit as we have now moved. We were not let down by the food either. I can’t promote this place enough. Staff are friendly and food to die for.

Having ate at Voujon many times I have never been disappointed, the quality and consistency in the food is very good, the service is very good, and the service staff are always polite and friendly. One thing I will say about the place is that if you are eating there as a couple or a large party they manage to cope very well and keep you informed if they are running a little behind, which to be honest is very rare. While staying in a hotel in South Cave we found this little restaurant by googling an Indian Restaurant! We were not disappointed! As it was midweek it was not busy so we were able to be seated straight away. The staff were very helpful and charming, we felt welcome. We had poppadom starters and 4 pickle trays which were great. I had a Malayan and my husband tried a Balti Masala which was quite spicy but also tasty, his meal came with a Naan bread:it was crispy around the edges and light too.The waiter was able to answer our question about the difference in some dishes. My Malayan was delicious. I had a glass of red and my hubby had some larger.

I have been here several times over the last few years, with small groups and once a large group of family. We have always been pleased with the quality of the food and service. It is usually quite busy with a lively atmosphere.

A really lovely family curry night. Dishes are plentiful and well spiced and flavoursome. The roti is so soft with delicious crispy edges.

We went for my brothers birthday and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy with it being a week day but the staff were friendly and the food was of a great standard!

We have visited Voujon on several occasions, each time the food has been lovely. Staff are superb at recommending alternatives if you're a seasoned korma fan like myself! Good portions and attentive staff. Recommended!

Although we had a job finding the restaurant - it on the first floor and hidden away in a row of shops - we were very glad we persevered!!From the minute we walked into the restaurant, we were made to feel very welcome and very special.The food and the service was exceptional and we had a brilliant night.We had the mixed meat platter which was very tasty. I then had a chef special which was the best curry I have ever had. Even the poppadums tasted different!!

We visited the restaurant last week with very good friends of ours, yet again we were served with excellent food coupled with great service were they remember you as individuals, and what, you ordered last time there with recommendations of what are simular dishes and what you may find to suit your tastes. First class, and will definately be back as we have previously. Top job Voujon. AAAAAA+++++

Last time I went I was disappointed when I ordered two different curries (methi and dupiaza) but they were clearly the same. Had already served from the bowls but as soon as I mentioned it to the waiter there was a fuss and he took away both of the dishes without even asking. Came back 2 mins later with peppers stuffed in the dupiaza - not sure that peppers make up a dupiaza! During all of this the waiter liked to speak over us and refuse to listen to anything we said. After this...plates were taken away as soon as we were finished and we were given the bill - I guess no offer of desserts then?? Disappointed with the service and the way it was dealt with.Been here a few times and always been pleasant. Easy to just turn up and get a table. Never seen it busy and the best bit is the Cobra beer, so I'm not sure what that says. Usually the curries are really great and the portion sizes are good.

We've been here many times and the food is always excellent although we've never tried the lower priced buffet as we prefer to choose from the a la carte and have it freshly cooked.Popped in last Wednesday for an unplanned meal when it was fairly quiet and the bosses day off. The service was as good as ever and I tried their baltic fish curry....wow truly excellentapparently the fish is halibut and the texture and taste could not be betteredno bones as its a fillet from a large fish. Recommended

I have been to this restaurant probably 100 times over the last few years. I worked in Bradford for 10 years also so I would like to think I know my curries.I can honestly say the food and service is spot on. I have never had anything but a great meal there. Have known Abdul since he opened the first Voujon in Anlaby years ago. Friendly service and good food as ever. Just a shame we now have to drive to this one as don't get there as often! Chicken pakorah and chot poti starters were delicious. Gost ohmuri main is also great with tender lamb and roast potatoes. Hopefully back soon!

very nice décor and pleasant place. we went for the sunday buffet at 745 8.00pm. The buffet was VERY limited the manger did say at the end if we had come earlier their was a lot more choice. You would expect it doesn't matter what time you go inside the opening hours for that deal they would be sufficient choice of food. My main complaint would be that after two visits for food I asked for a clean plate as I didn't like some of the sauce left on mine only to be told YOU ONLY GET ONE PLATE if you are a buffet dinner. the resrtaurant only had three tables on including us. What a joke a restaurant that doesn't like to give their paying customers a plate. After voicing my opinion I did recieved one. poor customer service could not be really bothered just to give you a new plate witch you would expect.

Having had takeaways many times previously and always finding the food excellent I was somewhat disappointed with the set menu for 2 I had on my latest visit. It pains me to say but curry dishes were bland on this occasion. The starter and accompaniments where excellent though.

First time we visited the Voujon restaurant after previously experiencing take-out. The restaurant is beautifully presented and the staff are attentive. Not the greatest choice on the menu, yet we did manage to experience something new. The food was good, but not amazing and likewise the same could be said about the price. However, we did leave feeling satisfied and would return to further our experience. Whether you're looking for eat in or take-out, Voujon is worth a vist and decide for yourselves if it's worthy of a return visit.

Brilliant place, excellent food and atmosphere. I had a low fat option of the shashlik, v healthy and cooked fresh. All the staff give great service and are attentive and happy.We will be back again and again.

We live in Elloughton so this restaurant is conveniently just a 15 minute walk away. We dine here about once a month and have never been disappointed. Sometimes we talk our teenage son and sometimes we don't. We always get the popadoms, mixed kebab starters and then I get the king prawn dansak and hubbie gets chicken chilli masala ( We tend to stick with what we know because it's always so nice) the lad usually goes for chicken korma. The cobra is cold and on draft and the liqueur coffees are always nice and hot. Service is great and the staff are always attentive and welcoming ! I'm glad this place is so handy !

Despite the surly waiter reading back the order and again upon collection, when we got home the order was wrong. Food was average. Glitzy restaurant but take-out a poor show.

Visited for an evening meal with the family, food was excellent and service spot on. Son ordered plain chicken and chips but wasn't overly keen with chicken, so waiter gave him another meal which he enjoyed and never got charged for. Which we really appreciated.

Excellent Indian takeaway. Fast food prep even when not calling ahead, good quality. Never been disappointed. Sit down also good although we use takeaway more frequently.

This is a local restaurant for us but wouldn't hesitate to travel to it, as we love it. I can safely say we have had most meals off the menu and not had one bad meal. Large, clean modern restaurant with friendly helpful staff.

We have been several times and are always impressed.This time we went as two couple and we all ordered the Bombay bash sharing platter and we very impressed at how large a portion it was- took up the whole table.It worked out as £5 each between us, which for a big starter is a good price.Curries were good, nothing spectacular but couldn't say anything bad about them. Only criticism would be to stop charging for poppadoms, fair enough to charge for the pickle tray but poppadoms are so cheap to buy and fry, they should be complementary just like bread often is before the meal!The waiters were always really pleasant as always, and they are just as kind when you collect takeaway also.Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Booked on line to reserve a table for two, stating the date and time and how many for, also there is a section for any special dietary requirements! Arrived and greeted by a very polite member of staff and was shown to our table immediately! Ordered drinks which came to us swiftly! Asked if we would like poppadums whilst choosing of the menu! They also brought a pickle tray with the poppadums! The currries we ordered were delicious as was the lemon rice! The naan bread was so light and yummy! The Bahjis were tasty too! Great food great service all reasonably priced! Will definitely be going back in the near future! Very clean and tastefully decorated throughout!

Went for Mothers Day with my 10 Year old son, as always food and service excellent. Staff know us and always make a fuss of my son.

Another great meal at Voujon! All the male waiters and manager are very friendly throughout. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Brough area!
