What a delight to find, great staff and an amazing selection of beers

Arrived just after 10.30pm on a Friday to be told I couldn't have coffee because they had cleaned the machine. Maybe in future do your cleaning after your customers have gone. Will not be returning!

Lovely place. It was amazing to catch up with friends, but the atmosphere was pretty cool, lively buzzing, serving staff, and service was 10/10. Thanks from the group at GBS Manchester

I visited Vocation & Co. Manchester with colleagues, and while the atmosphere was nice and the variety of beers impressive, the overall experience was disappointing. Despite having a booked table, we found other people sitting at it when we arrived. The place was packed, which I understand given it was a Friday night, but the service left much to be desired. I ordered a burger through the table QR code, and after waiting for a long time, I noticed that others who ordered after me were already eating. When I asked about my order, I was told it would take another 15 minutes. After waiting even longer, I had to request a refund because we were about to leave for another booking. They did refund me and brought the burger soon after, but I had to rush through my meal, and to top it off, the burger wasn’t even that good. While I appreciate the refund, the overall experience was frustrating. The cocktail bar was closed, and the delays with my food were just ridiculous. Perhaps this place is better suited just for drinks.

30+ beers on tap, most of which you won't find anywhere else! I had a pastel de nata stout (cinnamon pastry and vanilla flavoured) at 7.5%...absolutely fantastic!

Vocation beers are mostly mediocre and pretty boring. Nice bar though.

Love this bar. The selection of beers and ciders are brilliant. It's inside Society which is a great place all year around. Beer garden is nice in the summer. And food options inside too. Staff are lovely here too

Great bar with as much Craft Ale as you could want. Well versed and approachable bartenders. And plenty of choice in the food hall too.

Great bar near Manchester Central. Large choice of ales, both cask and keg. Don't look for a Vocation & Co sign to guide you, because there isn't one???? Instead look for the "society" signage. Google maps is poor in the area so don't rely on them to find this place if you are travelling from the high rise area nearby.

I went on a wet Tuesday and the place was buzzing with many groups enjoying the hospitality. They have a great range of beers on offer as well as spirits and a cocktail bar !

For a Saturday evening, not too many people... A DJ, several small stalls to eat but we only tried the beer. A great tasting...

Got here too late to eat but I will make sure to be there earlier next time I'm out in Manchester. The huge selection of beers mean you can stay all evening and feel like you've been on a beer crawl.

One of the best selections of quality craft ales in a great venue. The staff were informative and knowledgeable. The prices fair for aficionados and on a sunny day, the outside is lovely.

This place must have something for everyone as there is a very large tap list of beers plus a cocktail bar plus several food outlets all under one roof. Do go & check it out !

Relatively unusually located but once you find it, it's a popular vibrant bar featuring craft beer big boys Vocation and their foodie acolytes all under one roof. Some of the exact same beers you can get cheaper in the supermarket but they also do some belters that you can't! This is what Mackie Mayor could and should have been like!

Delicious beers and delicious food choices. Worth a visit. My favourite is the Personal Chesus!

Very large Modern craft bar. Massive menu. Quite hard to find even with Google maps. Big bench seats so not so much for the cosy solo drinker. But great beer.

Waited months to come here, being fond of the vocation stout range. This place does not disappoint. I'm leaving feeling a very happy old guy in need of a sleep.

Lots of lovely craft beer on keg and 3 on cask. A variety of outlets selling several different types of food in the bar area. DJ was there on the Thursday when I visited.

Been here 3 times now and must say I have really enjoyed it everytime. These new places creeping up that have a taproom for beer with a few food outlets are really nice. Nice setting for this one aswell in a modern part of the city. Great choice of drink here and Vocation are a good brewery so you know the quality will be there 👍

Not really having the craft beer vibe this place. More of a tacky pre-nightclub feel. Good beer, but pretty awful music.

24/10/22: a superb selection of craft ales from Vocation Brewery. I had (8) Vocation; Death by Cherries sour, 4.5%, (19) Vocation; Elevation coconut NEIPA, 6.2% and (24) Pastore; Limone sicilian lemon, orange & grapefruit sour 5.2%

A cavernous place that had a friendly atmosphere when we went midweek. Still busy at that time. Plenty on offer for all types of drinkers with street food alongside.

Lots of space, great bench seating, vibe and the food options were good. As with most bars nowadays, if you stick with the menu items, it will be fine. Ask for anything off piste and you'll get glazed looks.

What a gem of a place. Great craft beers for the other half, great cocktails for me. Iced coffee was also great. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Manchester City centre. It’s a bit hard to find but we’ll worth it

Great vibe, food and location for a work group to hang out after work. Lots of choice too. Little bit pricey though, as you'd probably expect.

Glad I finally got to pay it a visit. Handily located for a trip into Manchester Piccadilly. Extensive tap lineup. Chilled vibe. Range of food options onsite. Enjoyed my visit. Will be back.

Basically see the reviews below. Great beer, fantastic service and the street food outlets offer very nice, fairly, priced food including pizza, Indian street food, burgers, Asian cooking and Korean Fried Chicken which is far superior to the other KFC! We visited on a Friday night and it was noisy, with a mix of young people, workmates and graduation parties. Nothing you wouldn't expect though, and it was good to see it back to somewhere near capacity.

Really amazing beer company. They have so many options to choose from and I look forward to tasting each and every one.

Fantastic beer and food. Nice setting with tons of outdoor space. Set up indoors like a beer Hall, benches and long tables abound. Lends itself to hubbub. I prefer a cosier tap /pub space.

Ordered from the qr code on the table, everything was easy to understand and pay and my drink was delivered really quickly (considering it was peak lunch hour too!) Ordered a schooner of a 10% stout and it was an absolute beaut - definitely coming back!

It's hard to walk in here and buy a bad beer, probably impossible actually because they're all amazing and the selection is impeccable. The food from slap and pickle was a good complement too. I will definitely be back.

Super range of classy beers in a cavernous room. Bench seating dominates. Plenty of staff on hand to help you choose your beer.

So many beers to choose from … other beverages available too! We were all happy … I had a choice of 2 gluten-free beers, the cider drinking girl got what she wanted and the car driver had a good no-alcohol beer too. We made good use of the “street food” outlets. Shall definitely come again … especially useful for the Bridgewater Hall venue.

Great beers inside a little food court, right on a small pond that would be great if it is sunny. But also nice comfy chairs to sit in and enjoy your beer if not

It's a food hall with 5 independent kitchens serving up a wide range of food suitable for all tastes and requirements. Added to that there must be at least 30 different beers to choose from. Atmosphere is good, loads of seating and you can order to your table or go to the individual food outlets. Ate from the Korean, Italian and Indian outlets and they were all fantastic from the spicy honey chicken to the halloumi wrap. Would definitely go back!

Such a great array of beers from which to choose. Very large beer bar with so-called street food from 5 (?) vendors inside.

The Beer is so good me and my friend came here from the Isle of Wight just to drink there Stouts. We were not disappointed with what we found. 3 nights over the weekend we enjoyed there beer and hope to get back there in the future.

Great place, massive selection of beers all styles. And some good eateries to boot.

What can you do so I give you five stars? How about a free pint next time I'm in?

Been several times over the past few weeks and always a great choice of beer. Staff are helpful; tables cleared very quickly and this is a great place to drink craft beer.

A good venue with a wide range selection of beers plus several food options.

This bar is set in society which used to be the picture and piano near the Bridgewater hall. We discovered it by accident but had a great time there and will go back soon. It provides drinks for the five or six little restaurants that are in this place and does a really good job of it. They have a fantastic range of beers from around the local area and beyond. They are priced at a fairly standard city centre level but the variety makes this place different and a really good option.

Staff were so helpful and amazing when I visited especially for a gluten free beer. They couldn't have been more accomadating by managing to put the vocation session IPA gluten free on tap for me! Which was delicious. I highly reccomend going there.

Excellent selection of beers and the online service works better than going to a bar. Simply scan the QR and your away. Make sure you get a seat downstairs though as upstairs is a little light deprived.
