Great tasting food, not your traditional curry house

Food was delicious! Service excellent, staff lovely and friendly

They serve good Indian food but I was not happy with the service. I booked the table for three including my daughter. When I reached 6.45 (the time I booked) , the lady who was managing the booking told me that I needed to leave before 8 . I was not expecting a time slot like that. It was a valentine's day and they wanted to do more business. So I ordered just minimum things considering time . One chat , one non veg starter and a main . I got my food at 7.15. I was literally forcing my little daughter to finish her food before time . We couldn't enjoy it at all. I told the guy who served the food to inform the customer about the time slot while booking so that they can make a decision based on that. Finally we were able to finish before 8 and the guy got the bill. One thing I noticed was that he was giving chocolate in a basket with the bill to everyone. But for us he didn't give the chocolate. It is not because of the chocolate, the attitude. Never recommend any of my friends because I know anyone with self-respect can tolerate this kind of attitude.

Love their biryani (chicken on the bone) and jackfruit curry! Very good portions.

Great home made style, authentic food. Delicious. They were a bit busy with takeaways, so a bit difficult to get additional service, but I suppose that's a testament to how popular they are. Will visit again for sure. Also nice classic decor.

Most Expensive Indian I’ve had and the foods poor. Nearly £5 for stale popperdoms, the chicken was disgusting and chewy and soggy Nan bread.

Best Indian food in the area of Northenden/ Didsbury/ Chorlton. So good every time. Quick delivery and great vegetarian options too. We ate in the restaurant also and had great service.

Authentic Indian food. We tried the chaat and Indo chinese. It was amazing just like in India. We went on a weekend and it was jam packed so the servers were busy also our food did come out slightly late but overall it was a good experience. We will surely visit next time to try other Indian dishes.

First visit here during a quiet time, 4pm on a Sunday. Food was amazing! Service spot on too. Mixed grills arrive hot & sizzling, butter chicken was to die for, rice fluffy & plentiful and garic naan to add to the meal. Every mouthful was bang on taste, with beers for 3 the bill was a little over £80. And we still had to doggy bag the left overs as the portions are not small or skimpy. A good local find, will definately be re-visiting.

Incredible Indian Flavours! Bombay flavours offers a fantastic variety of Indian dishes. I loved the railway lamb, which had just the right kick, and the mango lassi was the perfect refreshment. The staff was knowledgeable and helped us choose dishes to our taste. Can't wait to come back!

This restaurant is our family favourite. Food is always 👌 and everyone is very helpful. Not to expensive also. Quick service.

I have given 4 star because the food is excellent when eating in, but when we ordered take out recently the chutney/yoghurt normally served with the starter was not in the bag, neither was there any salad with the tikka main. I would have been happy with some salad just chucked in a small food bag.

I recently visited Bombay Flavours for a family dinner and was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is one of the few places that serve authentic Indian food. Every dish we tried was fresh and bursting with flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming, recommending us some excellent dishes. The ambiance was charming and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the dining experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine Indian cuisine.

If you want/like indian food, This is the place to go. By far the Best I have found ( and I have been in Manchester over 50 years). Would give 20 out of 10, yes that good. Staff can do enough for you. Will definitely be going again.

I have often ordered from Bombay Flavours. After getting disappointed from many outlets this is where I stopped. I like their five spiced paneer, vegetable samosa, grandma chicken curry and garlic naan. I didn’t really like noodles and chilli chicken as much, but the ones I mentioned above are quite decent. Dal makhni could be better as I have had better ones. Overall a decent place for Indian food. Go for it. Try it yourself.

The food was not bad but the lighting was strange. It made all my food look unflattering. Everything felt like there was one food colour added to all my dishes. Snacks were yummy and the naan was good too.. maybe better off as a take away.

Only a mile from where we live, but never visited before.... HUGE MISTAKE!!. The staff were wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy.... But the food!!!. I've been a regular visitor to the curry mile for 40 years and Bombay Flavours takes the prize for being one of the best. Can't wait to return to try more of their delicious dishes. I'd encourage anyone to eat here. You won't be disappointed. Well done to all the staff and chefs, absolutely fantastic job, keep it up!!!

Nice place great food, the street food starters was great but portion size could be better. Main course was lovely too but the kids meal was just ok. Parking could be an issues as its off-street.

We’ve been going here for over a year now and TBH we should have written a review before now. We’ve been over 20 times and the food is always delicious. Same consistent excellent quality. It’s run by two families and they are delightful and always make us welcome. The problem now is we’re always comparing other Indian restaurants to Bombay Flavours and none match up for food quality and taste. It’s not a fancy place but couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Wow what a disappointment clearly all fake reviews or people that eat out of a bin on a daily the chicken tikka masala was awful no flavour just pure spice sp bland the chips was rubber the poppadoms was all crushed in a bag and wasn't fresh near enough stale the chicken wasn't good quality either and the chicken tikka starter was just spicey af chicken pieces chicken tikka should never be that spicey I like spicey food if it has flavour because that's the whole point of spice to bring out the flavour but the flavour was non existent I'd recommend next time someone orders to just ask for pure chilli extract and some rice seriously and the price of this place is a joke for the portion size you get there size of everything is tiny 12.99 for a flavourless chilli extract masala is laughable learn to cook you do not deserve the rating you have and I wish you nothing but bad business here on out. Merry Christmas.

We were in the area and by chance we came across this restaurant...what a fabulous place🤩 The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. The girl at the reception was very welcoming and the person who brought the order for us was gentle and respectful. There was devine music playing in the background which is really pleasing. This restaurant I would recommend as best restaurant in the Manchester and probably one of the best after my experience in Maya restaurant (which is in Boston, USA). I think no other restaurants I have seen such a great taste (perfect blending of spices), quantitative and qualitative food. I am not sure why some of the people visited this restaurant rated less than 5 ⭐. For me its ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in all aspects.

Initial impression might be misleading, as the place looks like it needs revamping, and a mixture of Indian and English decorations might not suit everyone. Where it comes to what really matters -the food and service - it's great. Dishes are delicious and lady behind the counter is very helpful and willing to explain what's what and how to it eat it. Overall -a place to visit if you like good (not only Indian) food.

I got the chicken tikka masala my partner got a lamb rogan josh both were very spicy and tasted perfumy, was unable to eat it, the only nice thing was the chips and it’s quite expensive in price

I ordered a madras curry from here a few times because it was quite good. But, the last time it was unbelievably spicy that I couldn't eat it and I ended up ordering food from elsewhere. One might think that restaurants have some sort of consistency in using spices. Since then I have ordered again, and I must admit I have been impressed by the food. Thank you for being proactive 👏🏼

Absolutely fantastic place to eat

We had a takeaway from Bombay Flavours this evening and it was absolutely delicious. We live in Sale and haven’t been impressed with the last few curries we’ve had from takeaways nearer to us, so decided to use Uber Eats to look a little further afield. The chicken tikka was beautiful quality, so tender and could tell it was nice meat. The keema rice was delish. The curries were so tasty and had a perfect consistency, they were spiced to perfection. The starter bits we got were so nice as well. Only fault was that the naan was on the smaller side (but it was tasty and perfectly chewy). Will definitely be ordering again soon!
