This is the ideal place to have a cup of coffee when out shopping. The main table is often taken by ladies who sew but there are other tables available and the atmosphere is very friendly

Coffee was amazing. I’m an absolute coffee snob and was amazed at how good and tasty it was in this shop. I also had the orange and almond gluten free cake, moist and tasty with a bit of creme fresh on the side. Was the only place still open for cream teas a 4pm, and I think we were lucky that they were!

Extraño y estrafalario pero tartas fabulosas y cafés. Mesas, etc. pero rara especie de acorde con el pueblo. Buen servicio de una chica agradable sonido.

This is a quaint little place and well worth a visit. Its small and friendly and I find very comfortable. The cake is terrific and the owners are lovely well worth seeking out if you are in Lostwithiel. I may have to start learning to knit!

A wonderful cafe within a sewing and knitting shop. Sociable space where you share a table with other customers. Fab homemade cakes and great coffee before our walk to Lanhydrock. I will definitely be back.

Cluttered but warm and cosy. The homemade cakes were tasty and the tea and coffee very good but what stood out for me when we were brave enough to walk through the door were the friendly owners. Long chats and warm ups are a must in March weather and this is one of my best memories from our last visit. MEN and women don't be put off by the handicraft exterior or the knits and fabric adorning every space - come on in and warm yourself in it's local hospitality warmth and charm. Then you too can discover the very rare flying bat in the bathroom/loo!

We stopped in Lostwithiel at about 4 PM on a Tuesday, hoping for a quick sit down at a cafe before we had to get back on the road. Unfortunately for some reason, literally all of the cafes were already shut. We walked by this sewing shop and noticed they were also a cafe--we were a bit unsure about going in but so glad we did! There are two big tables kitted out with lovely linen and china, etc...the cakes are fantastic and the owner was very nice and catered well to our younger child...offering her colouring and drinks suited to her....we had great coffee and cakes. Also enjoyed the retro music playing and all of the decor. Very peaceful and interesting. I'm glad we went in and I'm glad they stayed open longer than the other cafes!

Myself and my parents visited for elevenses while staying in the town. Although the lady was busy when we walked in serving other tables she was very accommodating telling us what all the cakes were. We placed our order and she said she would bring it over. We sat at the lovely quiet table in the corner and enjoyed the interesting range of magazines. We didn't wait long and the coffee, tea (decaf), crumpets and chocolate brownie were all perfect! It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the attention to detail, including fresh daffodils on the table. Would recommend to anyone!

2 Quay Street has the best coffee in Lostwithiel, oh and the cakes aren't too shabby either. Fabulous customer service as well, and a business with a social conscience... What more could you want? Keep up the great work!

We found this cosy shop just off the main high street. We are both crafters- sewing, crochet and knitting and there was more than enough stock to keep us entertained. The staff are really friendly and know what they're talking about. It's like a treasure trove, with stacks of vintage material, tempting you to root through them (which we did!), boxes full of vintage buttons that reminded us of our nanas button tins that we used to tirelessly sort through and wool.......so much wool . They also have a dinky little cafe which sells local coffee and teas etc but the the cake is out of this world. Seriously, once you've eaten their cake no other cake will quite meet its standard- believe me we've tried! The only problem was that we totally lost track of time and 2 hours later realised we should pay up and leave. Totally lush!

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, what a fantastic find!! Funky and quirky vegan cafe. Loved the layout and decor. Best chai latte ever. Absolutely gorgeous tofu tacos, and the squash salad was sooo tasty. It’s dog friendly too!! Young lady was on her own front of house, and the cafe was full, she was run off her feet, but she was brilliant - well done!! Now top of our list for lunching in Mousehole!

They make you feel like part of the family. It's clean, tidy, always smells so good woth the cakes and coffee, I always feel like I'm home when I go in.

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

We found our way to Freathy Farmhouse Cafe by following a sign from Whitsand Bay. What a lovely find! Very rustic and charming cafe. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed very generous sandwiches served with delicious salad. Some of us even managed cake! We will definitely return although I understand it is best to check opening times. Ps Loved the decor in the loo!
