My sister and I enjoyed fab afternoon tea with Prosecco here last week. Lovely freshly made sandwiches, scones, cream & jam, yummy cakes, large pot of tea and,of course, a bottle of Prosecco. Cafe owner and staff were all very welcoming. We could not have asked for more. Light lunches etc. also served in the cafe and local craftwork for sale. I would recommend this cafe to anyone living nearby or visiting the area.

Food was ok but service average and lacks cleanliness in the toilet. With the amount of time that the staff stand around taking, you would think they could spend some of that time to keep it clean, even my 6year old didnā€™t want you use it because he said it is soooo disgusting .

On an adhoc visit into the village one lunchtime, I decided to see what the cafe was like. I had planned to come along some time with my daughter but the timings had never agreed with my daughter during the week as it shuts at 2.30pm, which I found quite strange. The cafe had a nice rustic appeal to it from outside and provided outdoor seating at the front which was a good start. There seemed to be a lot to look at inside as there were separate display stands around the side of the room with gifts and various things you could purchase. Some of the items were of a nice standard and well displayed but amongst it were items that looked like they were from a charity shop and ideally should be in a charity shop! This cafe has a system where you can sit on a certain table if you are happy to chat to other people which I thought was a lovely idea. After finding a seat, I chose what I wanted. The waitress was quick to respond and helpful. Being a vegan there was a full breakfast available but not much else. The food was not as hot as I would have liked it and I feel it was a bit overpriced for what it was. I did also find the table was sticky. Whilst I was eating, I was constantly disturbed by someone walking up to the table to count out the cutlery, placing it on the table! Iā€™m not sure if I would be visiting again though. A bit disappointed as it had the potential to be a really lovely cafe!

I thought Iā€™d do my part in supporting local businesses rather than go to a retail branch for coffee. Now I ended up going to a retail branch anyway! The service was good, the shop was nice with its quirky old 80ā€™s & 90ā€™s memorabilia items (I noticed all this as I waited a few minutes for my coffee).Back to the coffee, the normal coffee and milk started seeping through the takeaway cup when I left it in my drink holder (car drink holder) it was all most like watery coffee. I didnā€™t take it back, the thought crossed my mind, but itā€™s pointless. I know this business hates criticism, but the coffee making experience needs to change. I seen you got a nice machine. Other than that Iā€™d go back if the coffee isnā€™t watery and is actually improved, they have fresh grounds but something gives off the taste like its filter coffee. And change your takeaway cups I think the water was so hot in my coffee it melted the glue on the cups.

Not a bad little place for a cuppa and cake. Had the soup which was ok but doubt it was fresh as it tasted powdery. Cleanliness of seating area not the best; floors were dirty with bits all over. The toilet hadn't seen a deep clean in a while.

Admittedly we felt a little bit pushy having nipped in just five minutes to closing time for a quick coffee and a slice of cake. The staff, and indeed the customers, here are lovely. The coffee is perfect and the cakes are gorgeous. It's a lovely little local coffee shop... if you're popping through and looking for a pick-me-up, park up and pop in.

I had the large vintage breakfast which consisted of fried eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoā€™s, baked beans, toast & a drink. My partner had a bacon & egg roll. All the food came piping hot & very tasty ( not cheap ingredients) & very promptly. The coffee was also nice & hot & flavoursome. The service was very good too. Inside the cafe are a number of small concessions selling all sorts of stuff that my partner browsed at while we were there. All in all a very good visit & weā€™ll definitely keep going

My partner and I nipped in to have a cuppa and piece of cake whilst our daughter was at her dance class. I cannot fault the quality of the drink or cake as they were lovely but does it really take 10 minutes to make two cups of tea and put two slices cake on plates. It was explained that they were short staffed (there were two staff on) but there was only 11 customers in the cafe. I would recommend if you want a delicious but leisurely cuppa.

Evington Village so desperately needed a nice cafe, so I was really pleased when Vintage 186 came on the scene. I went in for breakfast. Surly waitress. Asked for flat white coffee and was served very mediochre filter coffee. Breakfast itself was absolutely average. The only thing I liked was the decor! Sadly, I won't be going back.

Just had a lovely cream tea at vintage 186 the service was excellent and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The coffee shop is at a lovely location and it also has a range of things to choose from their menu. Also if your stuck for a gift it has some local businesses using their space selling a range of items from crafts to everyday items. I would definitely recommend anyone to try here for a cuppa or something to eat.

It's great to find a cafe with an atmosphere that serves great value breakfast (this is what we had - there are other options). The portions are generous and the food cooked expertly. My veggie brekkie was delicious and we also had a meat one - also delicious. The location of the cafe is so cool - in the middle of an antiques warehouse so we browsed for an hour or so after eating. Will definitely be going back there.

Called in here before the city match on Sunday. The site is situated directly across from the New Inn on Welford Road. Very quaint place with good staff. The owner was very pleasant. Tried a coffee, panini & finished off with a scone & cream. All excellent. Wi-fi available & if you're into antiques you can potter around the warehouse alongside the coffee shop. If you park around the Welford Road area this site is a hidden gem for a meet up with friends before a game at the KP or The Tigers. I'll return.

Visited today using a Groupon voucher for 4 people and having never been here I was pleased to see a hygiene rating of 5 before walking through the door. Once inside the cafe, we were pleased with our warmed scones and hot drinks, pleasant staff and nice surroundings. Whilst I like using a Groupon voucher as a new customer, I'm happy to say we will definitely be back to spend 'real' money in a place that the locals like using. If you've got a couple of hours to spare, the cafe and antiques centre is an ideal place to visit for comfort and nostalgia.

Don't let the exterior appearance of this building put you off. It's on a busy main road and looks like a garage from the outside. A Groupon voucher tempted us inside what we imagined would be a cold, dark cafe, but nothing could be further from the truth. Adjacent to a warehouse that is a treasure trove of antiques, collectibles and vintage delights, the cafe is a treasure and a delight in itself and doesn't disappoint.

I decided to treat myself to tea and cake whilst visiting the antique centre. The only cafe staff member was on the phone reporting an error with the machine that takes cards. One other person was in the cafe presumably waiting to be served and she went to the toilet. I continued waiting. I appreciate that the staff member had to make the call but what was really awful was that she refused to look at me and indicate she knew I was there or even mouth the words 'be with you in a minute' she just acted as though I was not there. I waited for 5 minutes and decided that although the cake on display looked nice poor service and ignorant staff is never worth a wait. There are many other lovely cafes just a short distance away at Queens Road who can offer both good food AND good service. Retailers are there for customers. It would seem pointless worrying about whether the machine worked as she let a paying customer walk away. I had cash as well.......
