Excellent place for a drink and a nice atmosphere. There was a special offer on the Monday so the wine was at off-licence price! My only criticism was for the Avo- cetta which was unexciting and bread too thick. Otherwise recommended

Caído en 6. 30 hs. Por una copa de vino. Después de establecer que no habíamos reservado, nos ofrecieron asientos de forma remota. Mucho personal que tenía mejores cosas que hacer que servirnos. Definitivamente no lo recomendaría a menos que esté absolutamente desesperado y disfrute ser tratado como si fuera invisible.

We had a lovely evening in a very friendly atmosphere, great staff and welcome . Enjoyed a good bottle of red wine with some interesting selections of food . It is not a restaurant ,more a wine bar. It was convenient to our hotel and would recommend it .

Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi da questo locale! Una scelta di vini interamente italiani, con possibilità di degustarli anche a bicchiere! Location molto bella, soprattutto al piano inferiore! Possibilità di scegliere anche qualcosa da mangiare, con una piccola cucina che propone un’ottima scelta di piatti sia caldi che freddi! Un locale dove poter fare aperitivo o adatto anche a una cena molto informale! Un applauso va anche allo staff, che oltre ad essere molto gentile e sorridente, Sa metterti a tuo agio.. nel nostro caso Elisa, ci ha saputo consigliare in maniera perfetta la scelta del vino, per poi seguirci lungo tutta la nostra permanenza, sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra! More of a wine bar than a restaurant, but the food that was served was simple good Italian classics. The wine was very good and we were recommended something that suited our taste and was not the most expensive bottle on the list. We went after a show with my 4 year old daughter and whilst the staff were attentive and friendly, I would not recommend for families. Will come back as a couple.

Warm ambience, good service. Great variety of wines, a menu representative of Italian cuisine. The bar tables are too small to share 3 antipastis. As a suggestion, there could be several tables with decent sitting. Otherwise everything was lovely.

Lovely selection of wines and beautiful decor. We only came for drinks but the food menu looked incredible as well. The only downside was the service.. we were served by a young girl who should not be working at a wine bar as when I asked for recommendations and said I didn't like sweet wine she just scowled and said 'get another one then' and rolled her eyes. In a place with hundreds of wines where you would expect great recommendations and upselling this girl's actions were disappointing.

Lovely little place with an extensive wine list, all Italian, and small platters of food to accompany (we had the ham and figs which was yummy). Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also sell online and in their shop. Will visit again!

Went with a friend here before a concert in the Royal Albert Hall and was a nice find in walking distance to the concert. The menu is not huge but they have still got some nice choices and there is always the option of the platter. Had some interesting wines to choose from - but much admit that I thought the selection by the glass was both a bit limited and also very pricey, which surprised me a bit by this being a wine place. However would still recommend it since I did like the atmosphere in here.

A fantastic welcome and attentive service when we visited Vini Italiani. We were entertaining some visitors from San Francisco, who are wine enthusiasts and who enjoyed taking the time to look through the wine list and chose a bottle of significance and quality. Supper was excellent quality and just right in terms of quantity.

Yo comer mucho y entender que los gastos son altos en el restaurante y bar comercio (incluso me dirigió uno yo hace un par de años), pero lo único que no cuesta mucho es los ingredientes. Por lo tanto, dentro de límites razonables, no puede haber razón alguna para minuscule porciones. Cargo lo que te apetezca por todos los medios, el cliente luego puede elegir pagar o no entrar en el lugar. Pero cualquiera sea el precio dar una porción razonable para el dinero o, habiendo sobrepasado el problema más difícil de todos.. el cliente dentro de su restaurante, en primer lugar, el inevitable sucederá. Nunca volveré ni sus familiares, amigos, conocidos, etc., etc. Se obtiene la imagen.

We have been here for the first time we instantly felt welcomed and were looked after very well . The atmosphere is great and the service is amazing . Never felt so comfortable and relaxed. We asked so many questions about different bottles of wine and wow all the answers were satisfied.We will go back again (for sure !) and highly recommend this place for everyone.Thank you Vini Italiani for the kindly service and lovely wine tour experience x

Visited here on quick trip to London and found this to be quite a nice wine bar . Food is only average but the wine list is pretty good . Service is very good and this is a nice place for nice bottle of wine with some antipasta.

Good wine selection, however a glass of wine wasn't even half of the glass itself.The food was definetely poor and overpriced. The place looks nice, but lacking of professional staff, more busy chatting between themselves then helping the customers out.But overall the main issue is that it's not value for the money.

This is probably our favourite wine bar in London. We've never been disappointed by the wine, food or staff. Highly recommended.

Good wine selection. Didn't have much expectation on the food apart from nice cheese and antipasti platters, not much on the menu anyway but I've expected decent sized platters. All we got was tiny portions of cheese and meat on platters, not even offered with bread and olive oil. From that perspective, poor value for money. Don't think I'll go again.

A cool place to hang out and to buy a lot of glasses of wines in south kensington, wine is the biggest seller and I appreciated the array and display of the global wines. The place has a personal yet efficient customer service and everything was great.

Vini Italiani is one of my favourite places in London. I love the chandelier made out of wine bottles above the staircase and the stylish and cosy decor of the place. The Italian charcuterie and cheese they serve are outstanding, I particularly love the "classico" plate with Parma ham and morsels of parmesan cheese and the Cotto and cheese grilled sandwich with sourdough bread. The warm focaccia and the Bresaola salad are my husband favourite and my friends cannot stop eating the Christmas Lasagna, a seasonal special. For a small place the wine choice is incredible with hundreds Italian labels, so for a wine fanatic like me this is pure heaven. I often ask one of the staff members, who are all very knowledgable, to suggest a niche producer so that I don't always order the same wines. Lately I have been going at lunch time for some peace and quiet, In the evening the place is buzzing with people and I suggest you do not turn up without a reservation.

Stop by for a bite and a lovely glass of Italian wine. Loved that they had the wine displayed based on the regions of Italy. Also loved that they had half bottles available.

I went there two weeks ago to treat a special friend and we had a superb experience, beyond what I was even expecting! Ance (the manager) and her team went beyond anything I could expect to treat and spoil us!! I would recommend this to anyone. The food, the wines, the atmosphere and service were all 5 stars. Amazing!!

The staff was so kind and helpful! Went after work for a glass of wine and it was the perfect setting to let the steam off! Really a great place and I strongly recommend the focaccia- so good!

Don't be fooled by the size of this place from what's viewable from the street alone- they have additional seating on the lower level as well. On more than one occasion I stopped by for a glass or two of wine and/or a snack. Their food portions are very generous and I especially love that they offer different sizes of shareables (small, large, Xlarge). Great staff, great selection and variety of wines-by-the-glass and bottles of wine with a very nice ambiance.

I have visited Vini Italiani in South Kensington many times and always had such an amazing time being warmly welcomed by the staff. This was my first visit to the Vini Italiani in Covent Garden. What a magical place! Set in the heart of Covent Garden, they have the most fantastic wine bar. Even just stepping in we were welcomed by a member of staff who catered for our every need. Staff were all very professional and talked to us about the different food we could have as we just couldn't pick, it all sounded so good!! The food was amazing, after having just returned from a holiday in Italy, I felt straight back there. The food is well presented and just tasted incredible. We enjoyed two bottle of prosecco while listening to the entertainment outside. This is a fantastic place to go!! Please visit. I will be back!!!

Vini Italiani is a wine shop, tasting room and wine bar all in one. This means that if you are into good Italian food and wine, it's the place for you. Staff are all very knowledgable about the wine and are more than happy to make recommendations. In my experience they are usually very good in working out what you might enjoy. All I've spoken to are Italian and involved in the wine trade and/or education one way or another. Since Vini Italiani is an Italian wine merchant, they have a large range of competitively priced wine to choose from. Any of which is available to enjoy for a corkage charge of £10. Food wise, they have decent platters with imported Italian cold cuts and cheeses. These are not the best you'll ever have but good enough to add to the experience. The only real negative point I can think of is the downstairs seated area, which can feel a little uninviting. However, once your seated, especially when busy, any reservations are soon forgotten. In conclusion, once you've visited I suspect you'll find yourself going back again and again. My recommendation to ensure you get the most out of the experience, do not simply order of the wine list. Start at the central counter and take some time to talk to one of the staff members. They will help you to find something nice, be it a glass, a bottle...or more!

Great wine, cheese and service. What more can one want?

We went to Vini Italiani on Monday eve, which was a bit quiet. The upside was an excellent service! They do great sharing plates (cured meats, cheeses, olives, bread etc). And the selection of wines, Italian ones of course, is very nice too. You can taste some of them from enomatic machines, guided by their stuff if required. That was a nice added touch!

We came here on Friday afternoon/early evening for some drinks and snacks with friends. It was lovely - a nice atmosphere, good service, and great aperitivi. While it was my second visit here I've never gotten further than antipasti! I like the concept, there is a great selection of wines, but I feel there is more to discover!

Spontan und ohne Reservierung erhielten wir einen sehr schönen Platz im lauschigen Weinkeller. Der Kellner war mit den Weinen sehr gut vertraut, 500 Posten weißt das Sortiment auf, und sprach nach genauer Analyse unserer Wünsche eine hervorragende Empfehlung aus. Der 2006er Brunello di Montalcino Terrasole von Mario Bollag für 46£ wurde fachmännisch dekantiert und schmeckte hervorragend. Vorweg zwei Glas Franciacorta il Mosnel Spumante. Als Weinbegleitung genossen wir eine Variation von Käse, Wurst und Schinken aus Italien, auch hier gab es nichts zu beanstanden, auch ein wenig Trüffelhonig zum Käse wurde gereicht, nein, es war annähernd perfekt. 120£ inkl. Service, der Espresso ging aufs Haus, für Londoner Verhältnisse nicht wirklich teuer, aber wirklich sehr gut und damit empfehlenswert!

This is a great little place tucked away near South Kensington, on two levels - street and a basement. The street level offers more light, downstairs felt a little closed in. Wine selection was very good and tasting options were available (25cl glasses). I thought the 'by the glass' wine list could have been a little more extensive bearing in mind that it's also a shop - perhaps I missed something. Great for a date, easy to chat and not too much ambient noise.

I booked Vini Italiani for a pre-show drink/light-bite before a show at the Royal Albert Hall. The staff were lovely and very knowledgeable about wines and helped us choose a lovely selection of wines and some food platters which were amazing! He had a selection of cold meats and cheeses. Some of the best Buffalo Mozzarella I have ever tasted! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back again for more lovely food and drink soon! Thanks!

Vini Italiani was a wonderful discovery amidst the mayhem of Covent Garden. It was my wife's birthday and we bobbed in prior to going to a show. They gave us a free glass of Prosecco each and arranged for the string quartet (busking nearby) to play happy birthday by our window. Tremendous wines and excellent simple Italian food served by delightful friendly staff. Many thanks to Elisa particularly who spoiled us completely. Thank you so much for helping make our day so special.

I rarely if ever go to a "wine bar"because I'm not a big drinker but this was a really delightful place to spend an evening.Authentic, refined but relaxed, comfortable and cool. I tasted three lovely reds, very reasonably priced.Fresh simple plates of cheese, hams and lovely salads.But if you are a wine lover it will be the sense that you are surrounded by the very best of Italian wine which will appeal. Beautifully presented, great styling and layout.Attentive friendly knowledgable staff mean you are well looked after

I went there last week for an aperitif with another Italian friend. We ended up drinking Spritz which is not a wine but it's one of the traditional drink you have in Italy for aperitivo.It was superbly done and in the end we had a look at the wine selection they have and we found it impressive and varied. We didn't have dinner but we'll do next time we'll be in the area. Great quality.

We stopped in here for a light dinner on our way home after a busy day of sightseeing. They have a delightful selection of prosciutto, salamis and bresaola with Italian cheeses and focaccia bread. They combine perfectly with the Italian wines they offer by the glass or bottle. I could have been in Parma or Modena.

Vini Italiani serves what it says on the tin - a great selection of Italian wines, by the glass and by the bottle, at reasonable prices, accompanied by delicious cold cuts, antipasti and cheeses. A great place to unwind with friends after a working day. Make sure you share a "tagliere" of breasola and salami - and if you like white wine, the "Pecorino ciu' ciu'" will not disappoint!

I had another excellent trip to Vini Italiani. If like me you love Italian wine you need to make sure you visit. Great choice and variety, excellent service and friendly staff. My purchase always leaves me smiling and I get to smile again after drinking whichever fabulous bottle I've been recommended.

Appalling service. No eye contact from staff, incredibly discourteous. Muttering in Italian not realising I understand it. No explanation of wines. Half glass of wine over priced. Staff should be asked to look elsewhere for a job. Black listed.

In the day this is more of a wine merchant but in the evening it is packed with locals, and many Italians, enjoying the easy going atmosphere, great wine and simple Italian food - think bresaola and cured meats and cheese rather than full-on meals.Service is friendly and can get a bit overwhelmed if the place is full so be prepared to wait for food and someone to take your order.

We attempted a quick drink here while waiting for our table at Macellaio RC down the road, South Ken now feeling like a little corner of Italy. Actually, this bar is more Tribeca than Trieste, and none the worse for it. Knowledgeable staff, with a wide variety of truly interesting wines, although the service a little on the slow side if you are in a hurry. The layout means that moving about is awkward, and customers and staff can get on top of each other. It might be customary in these circumstances for staff to at least say 'excuse me' rather than just push on speechlessly with a contemptuous scowl. She wins a prize for the rudest person in the London hospitality industry.

The booking was confirmed, the place looked lovely and me and my other half were very much excited for Italian food and wine. The only issue was that the restaurant was closed which was very frustrating and unprofessional for whomever was responsible. On a plus note the restaurant looked fantastic inside and I will try and visit next time.

Very beautiful wine bar in South Kesington, I really appreciated staff's warmth and professionalism. The quality of wines you can taste here is very very high (we tried Barolo, Amarone and Franciacorta). We'll come back to taste the food!

A very special Italian wine bar in South Kensington. The range of Italian wines is quite remarkable, the decor is minimalistic but comfortable and the service is very good. You can order platters of Italian antipasti which are all delicious. If you're in the area do drop in for a glass of Nero d'Avola or whatever you fancy. You're bound to find it on the shelves.

Few seats and smart interior design ensure an intimate atmosphere, which goes very well with the wines and foods on offer. Italian big wine hitters go hand in hand with less known (and expensive) varieties and producers. The story telling of the sommelier makes it a very enjoyable experience as you sip and listen, appreciating the culture of wine. We also loved the prosciutto, salame, formaggio that went with our barbera d'alba and bollicine di franciacorta. Will go back again, and again.....

We came across purely by accident and what an excellent accident that turned out to be. They serve the most delicious wine, salads, cheese in a warm and friendly bar (on the ground floor) and small tabled area downstairs. The staff were all very helpful, very knowledgeable on the wine (they are a wine shop that happens to be a bar as well), but aren't at all pretentious. We know very little about Italian wine, but that didn't matter. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Devo dire che siamo stati parecchie volte in questo posto e devo dire che vivendo a Londra da parecchi anni, difficilmente si trovano alternative valide ad un locale come questo. Le prime volte in cui ci siamo stati, l'esperienza di aperitivo è stata sempre di un ottimo livello: qualità dei vini alta e quella del cibo molto elevata. Per quanto riguarda i vini la scelta è ottima e ci sono addirittura etichette che in Italia sono difficilmente recuperabili; Per quanto riguarda il cibo la qualità dei prodotti è altissima e i salumi sono molto freschi.Ieri abbiamo visitato per l'ennesima volta questo posto e siamo ancora sconcertati da quello che ci è successo. Premesso che quando si compra una bottiglia c'è un assurda charge di circa 5-7£ per il servizio (cosa vergognosa quando si spende magari 30-40£ di bottiglia e 15-20£ di tagliere)... Ieri sera oltre alla solita bottiglia di bianco fermo e oltre al solo tagliere con cestino di pane, ci siamo tolti lo sfizio di prendere due bicchieri di bollicine per brindare a fine serata facendoci consigliare dal cameriere e con essi abbiamo chiesto qualche stuzzichino. Il cameriere ci porta due bicchieri di Ferrari, dell'altro pane e un piattino di olive. A fine serata riceviamo il conto, ed è proprio una bella sorpresa. I bicchieri di Ferrari (A quanto pare erano un edizione particolare ma dalla qualità pari ad un prosecco di valdobbiadene da 10£ a bottiglia) sono costati ben 14£ ciascuno; a questo vanno aggiunti poi il prezzo del piattino delle olive e di tutto ciò che abbiamo consumato durante la serata. Per un conto totale di 92£. Da Italiano mi sento letteralmente fregato da un comportamento di questo tipo. Non solo il cameriere non ci ha detto il prezzo dei due bicchieri prima di portarceli, ma ci ha anche consigliato il vino a bicchiere più caro del menu, senza neanche offrirci il piattino di Olive che ci hanno fatto pagare. Oltre a questo mi chiedo come il locale possa far pagare due bicchieri di Ferrari (qualsiasi edizione siano) 28£. Sono ancora sconcertato dal trattamento che abbiamo ricevuto, dal conto che ci è stato offerto e purtroppo con molto molto rammarico non ci metteremo proprio più piede.

Dropped in for aperitif and had to prise ourselves away - so went back later and had a really chilled out time drinking a selection of good Italian wines. The service was excellent and the choice varied. We are not regulars in wine bars as they are not often as good as this. Stylish modern and with a selection that did not make us feel poor country bumpkins. The cellar is cool.

Went with my sister for a birthday celebration and could not fault anything. There are so many different types of wine to taste and the price is very reasonable if you do decide to buy . You also gets complimentary snacks which are a lovely touch.
