Farina Pizzeria in Kensington and Chelsea

What the hell has happened to this place? Farina used to be our go-to on a weekly basis. Pizzas were consistently excellent and service was always spot on. That was until a recent change of management and not for the better. We noticed something was off on our last visit - pizza tasted different, menus and several staff members had changed but we decided to give it another go today. What a mistake!! Once we were seated, we (along with another couple who also decided to leave) were ignored, whilst what appeared to be a management dispute carried on in the bar area. Having had enough of this terrible service, we decided to leave, never to return again. Sad, as I feel sorry for the long-serving staff members who are definitely not to blame and I’m sure we are not the only regulars to have noticed the rapid decline in both service and management. Ciao Farina!

It doesn’t happen often to eat a good Neapolitan pizza outside Naples and at Farina was a pleasant exception. The dough of the pizzas was light but tasty, the dressing fresh and delicious. We arrived at 13:30 and were quite hungry, we got served in 20ish minutes even though the pizzeria was full. I’d recommend to anybody looking for good pizza in a modern and funky place in central London

I can’t say anything about the food, as far as I can tell from the other tables it looked good. However, when we asked if they have a table for two (the restaurant was half empty), the waitress said maybe if we can wait 5-10 minutes. Which was already weird at a half empty restaurant, but we waited and got eventually seated. However after that the waitress seemed to have only serve the guests who just popped in for take away, so eventually we left without ordering. So the service was very very poor, and it really bothered us because this happened the last night of our London trip. I would suggest to the restaurant to also pay attention for the dining in customers in the future and also educate their waitresses more.

Very good, very authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, meaning a very thin base and a high, airy crust. The pizza is ready in just a few minutes and is super delicious. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and quick. The ambiance is appealing, with very pleasant background music, just to my taste. We will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

Had a lovely experience at this cozy Italian spot! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You must to try arancini and melanzane alla parmigiana, just delicious! And the atmosphere felt warm and authentic. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a relaxed and delicious meal. Absolutely loved my visit to this Italian gem! I’ve been there with my friend and The atmosphere was cozy and full of charm, with soft lighting and music that really set the mood. The food was incredible—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. I highly recommend the pizza , pasta and also the arancini and crocchè! All were unforgettable. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home, definitely something as change from last time that I went! Perfect spot for a date night or a laid-back dinner with friends. Can’t wait to return!

i went with my friends to celebrate a birthday, the service were very uninterested and cold, the pizza was burn! And my friend complained about the pasta very salty :( however we were very disgusting when we saw a couple of mise running around!!!

Really recommended place, the owner first offered us olives as an appetizer and then a tiramisu for the long wait. Having said that, we bought a red capricciosa (which actually arrived red) and a truly enormous calzone. We'll come back

Very good Neapolitan pizza near Notting Hill Gate station. The owner is very kind, friendly service, honest price. Recommended for a pizza that doesn't make you miss Italy!

In the middle of Notting Hill, excellent wood-fired Italian pizza, very light dough and quality ingredients. Antipasto of fried arancini and mozzarelline very well freshly made and light. Serve also some other dishes we will try next time. Very good "affogato" dessert (ice cream "drowned" in warm expresso) as well as chocolate tart. Reasonable bill. Italian owner, cooks and pizza makers (kind man). Good service. Authentic Italian pizza in London.

The environment is welcoming and with attention to detail, perfect both for an evening with friends and for a special occasion. Havent been here for a couple of years but the food and service was so good a couple of years ago we headed straight here on our first trip back to London.Both our pizzas were excellent but the service was very poor,no smiles and a general feeling of discontent.One waitress was having a bad day and making crashing noises with cutlery and crockery,our waitress asked us what we wanted to eat and drink,didn’t write it down and instantly forgot what we told her.When we got the bill I asked if it had a service charge,see said no and then when I looked it had a 15% service charge.Another waitress decided it was more important that she beat me to the kitchen with dirty plates than let me pass to go to the washrooms.General attitude of waiting staff was very poor and made you feel as if you were an inconvenience.Its a shame as this place was great with staff on previous visits but something has changed and I won’t be returning

Pasé por una pizza y estaba muy impresionado. La pizza era deliciosa — ingredientes frescos, gran corteza, y la cantidad justa de sabor. Los precios eran justos por la calidad, y el tamaño de la porción era sólido. Lo que realmente destacaba, sin embargo, era el propietario. Súper amable, acogedor, y claramente apasionado por dar la vuelta al lugar. Se nota que hay un verdadero corazón detrás del negocio, y se refleja en la comida y el servicio. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita — Volveré seguro. Pd nos encontramos con este restaurante mientras leíamos un libro llamado bastante pequeño Londres y pensamos que mientras estábamos en el campo nos pasaríamos y echar un vistazo a las pizzas. Excellent Italian food in a beautiful and friendly space. Pizza, starters and pasta are all extremely good. Classic dishes and less known Italian recipes. Top level. This is a well deserved five stars.

We had appetisers first which were fantastic. I would recommend the meatballs. The tomato sauce was delicious and the kids loved them! The pizza was made in a real-deal oven with prime ingredients. We didn’t manage to finish them so we asked for a doggy bag as didn’t want to leave them there!!! Definitely recommended

1- Very noisy restaurant and yet half the room is full. 2- Very average service, our dishes arrive 5 minutes apart… 3- I order pasta carbonara, the smell is already not pleasant, the taste even worse! No taste of pasta, 3 pieces of bacon, 4 tons of cheese and a lot of salt which makes the dish inedible! My husband ordered a pizza and the ham was really not good either. I do not recommend!

We found this beautiful Italian trattoria with a wood-fired oven. The service was impeccable and attentive and there was a nice atmosphere with locals and some tourists. We felt at home. Pizza this good is rare to find even in Italy, perhaps in Naples like the most famous pizzerias. The place also offers a selection of pastas which were well presented. If you are in Notting Hill I recommend it.

Farina claims to serve “Neapolitan pizza”. I hope nobody from Naples ever visits as they will get the shock of their lives. Flabby undercooked pizza with the blandest of toppings, it would be funny if it wasn’t so overpriced. Extra toppings appeared on one of our pizzas, perhaps to disguise the paucity of one of the supposed ingredients (nduja). Service was exceptionally surly and disinterested. No apology for bringing the wrong pizza. We had to go to the till as asking for the bill didn’t lead to anything. And that was with hardly any customers (methinks the reputation of this place has reached the local Nottingham Hill residents). I was tempted to ask for the removal of the automatic 12.5% service charge but couldn’t wait to leave and put the experience behind us. Avoid.

After so many years this evening I was treated really badly.. no tables available but more than happy to wait at the bar or go back as soon as the table was available.. but the staff made me understand that they had no intention of giving us a table for two saying in a very arrogant way that the bar was busy and the only available table was outside with strong winds and 7 degrees, really disappointed

The pizza was very delicious! It was stone baked and was made from very tasty dough which made it super fluffy. The ambience was a bit loud and not as comfortable as other pizza places but still good. The service was a bit uninterested, but still kind and fast.

Misery of staff weighing the place down. Service was terrible - ALL of the waitresses were MISERABLE. They looked like they had been forced to work there against their will. I didn’t see a smile on ANY of the 3 women the entire evening. Even when we were being served and I was asking questions , then lady looked like she couldn’t wait to walk away from the table. Even when not serving anyone, all the staff were walking around miserably not one single smile. This ruined the atmosphere of the restaurant completely. Pizza was 10/10 and delicious, though.

Me detuve aquí por capricho porque tenía antojo de comida italiana y vi el horno de 500 grados a través de la ventana. ¡Estoy muy feliz de haber parado aquí! Empecé con la ensalada Insalata Rustica que era perfecta. A continuación tomé la pizza Burratina y me recordó a mi tiempo en Italia. ¡Estaba más que delicioso! De postre elegí la Delizia al Limone Di Amalfi. Si te gustan los postres de limón que son cremosos y no demasiado dulces, ¡esto es todo! En general fue una experiencia encantadora. Angélica y Zara fueron impresionantes, y nos hicieron grandes recomendaciones. Este lugar es una visita obligada para la comida italiana en Notting Hill Gate. Bravo!

Pizza discreta un pò gommosa, di tre ragazzi che lavorano li si salva la ragazza con i capelli rosa,carina e professionale, l'unica che ha voglia di fare, lui a malapena saluta e trascina i piedi spostandosi da un tavolo all'altro, l'altra ragazza ciondola avanti e indietro con le mani in tasca quasi infastidita dalla presenza di clienti, diciamo che non vedi proprio tanto entusiasmo e accoglienza, cmq pizza nella media per essere a Londra va bene!

Went to Farina with my family for a quick pizza lunch in London. Mediocre is probably the best way to describe it; the starters were OK, overpriced for what they were (and surely too oily). Same for the pizzas, slightly underdone, with too much oil on top and ok quality ingredients. Again, okish, nothing special considering what they charge. At least we were happy with the service, our waitress was friendly and attentive. Not sure will be going again.

The food was tasty, the interior was good. But the performance of the staff was strange. We were approached by 3 staff members almost simultaneously and we told by each of them that we were not ready to order yet. Why even have 3 waiters during non-busy hours in such a small restaurant? But okay. Then we asked if there was tea, we were told that there was, and then another waiter came over and was surprised that we had ordered tea as there was no tea on the menu. It turned out that the only hot drink here was coffee. Then they brought us two cokes for some reason, even though we had ordered one. Then we were asked if we were done eating, even though we still had half a pizza left and were literally in the process of eating it. Not all waiters know English even at a basic level, so we had to explain some things with gestures

Ordered Affogato with liquor as dessert. It comes as only ice cream and liquor, but without coffee. I asked the waitress and she insisted that affogato is ice cream with either coffee or liquor but never both. I am disappointed that an Italian restaurant would provide such insufficient training to its staffs. Will not come again.

The pizza here was nice but the server we had was awful. Never smiled, actively seemed like we were interrupting her day. I had to wave at her to get anything ie order, drinks, pay. I wouldn’t mind but there was only 1 other table in the restaurant at the time. Kind of ruined the whole atmosphere.

We went today, and the experience was very disappointing. The pizzas and gnocchi were just okay, nothing special. The worst part was the service—rude, impatient, and clearly unwilling to be there. An unpleasant atmosphere from start to finish. We’re never coming back.

If you are in Notting Hill I recommend everyone to eat this pizza. The dough is good, light and the raw material of excellent quality. The place is nice and welcoming and the staff are friendly and polite. In many places in Italy you don't eat such good pizza. Super recommended!

We ordered a salad and a pizza with vegetables without tomato by mistake, and we were also able to enjoy the freshness of the ingredients and the quality of the pizza. It is Neapolitan style and although it is for one person it is a size that you could share. The service is fast and the atmosphere is ideal for a romantic dinner or just going to chat with friends. I would return to try a pizza with tomato 🤭

He places the customers all side by side even though the restaurant is empty. Not much choice, we had a pizza and pasta (spaghetti) with mushrooms. the pizza is not a real Italian pizza, the tomato sauce is a ready-made sauce that puts a layer of water on the pizza. (Spaghetti) are actually taliatelle. For pizza it's not worth the price.

Let's say that for pizza dough, I ate better in London, the parmigiana was good, the owner could smile a little more.

Visited last week and really enjoyed my pizza. We ordered the Burratini + olives and the Parmigiana. High quality pizza and really tasty.

The pizza is very good.. none of the waiters can speak Italian.. only the owner spoke Italian. He was cold and rude... as I left I said goodbye. But no one returned the greeting..

Excellent traditional Neapolitan pizza, I have eaten in many "nobled" Neapolitan and Caserta pizzerias and I assure you that this one is no different. Very light dough and good quality ingredients. I would like to add a small note after a few years that I often tell friends. It really felt like a small space of Italy stolen from London. It felt like I was at home!

After days of pubs and fast food, my family and I (all Italians) were looking for a pizzeria where we could eat a decent pizza, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the pizza! The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was clean and welcoming. Better than some pizzas you can eat in Italy!

Very weak! I've eaten in several hundred Italian restaurants in my life, and this one was one of the worst and has little to do with Italian cuisine. It's more home cooking than restaurant cooking. The dishes look like those served by my grandmother. A ton of cheese and cream was added to the gnocchi, spoiling the taste and texture, the spaghetti was completely mixed. No cheese to sprinkle on. The proudly named Farina pizza is rubbery, sloppy and tasteless. Moreover, the prices are not very bargain. To make matters worse, the staff was impatient with the fact that we were with children and started ostentatiously cleaning up a strand of pasta dropped by the child with a tissue as soon as we got up from the chair. Nothing is right. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

All burnt pizza base, and unpleasant atmosphere

Llevábamos varios años yendo a Farina (desde antes de la pandemia) y estábamos contentos desde hace mucho tiempo con la calidad y la variedad de pizzas que se ofrecen; preciosas pero dignas pensamos. Sin embargo, en 2024 empezamos a notar una caída considerable en la calidad y el tamaño de la pizza; su sitio web afirma 12 € pero tuvimos pizzas notablemente más pequeñas para las últimas visitas (antes las pizzas excedían el tamaño si el plato, ahora se ve más de una pulgada de plato alrededor! ) , a veces quemado, a veces la masa era demasiado salada. Escribí un amable correo electrónico a la dirección añadiendo fotos, pero no recibí respuesta. Cuando fuimos de nuevo alrededor de un mes después éramos los únicos clientes en el almuerzo con los dos miembros del personal, particularmente de mal humor. Pequeña Margherita de nuevo (9” en lugar de 12”) sin apenas mozzarella en ella. Al salir, nos despedimos del tipo detrás del escritorio, que ni siquiera se molestó en responder, apretó los labios en una sonrisa falsa y hosca. Claramente, los clientes les molestan, así que iremos a otro lugar a partir de ahora!

I am sorry to say so because they are generally pretty good, but my pizza was awful. I asked for the one with courgette, they said it was only on the online manu but they coud make it anyway The dough was good but the courgette were boiled and some were bitter. Tiny oil on it. Last time I had it the courgette were nice and crispy. Waste of money

Very bad experience! First time trying 2 Marina pizzas, unfortunately everything went wrong. Pizza was burnt and not edible. I sent them an email to make things right but no reply. I believe they just don’t care.

I don’t recommend for gluten free pizza. The dough was raw, as was the tomato sauce. After giving feedback, I was still charged the full amount plus extra for the GF base…

Despite really good food, i was disappointed with the service - the front of house waiter/manager was rude and arrogant and was not friendly at all! After telling us our 8pm table was at 7.30pm (despite a call to confirm earlier in the day!) made us feel very uncomfortable. If the service was as good as food would be good place.

Pizza 5/5 atmosphere 3/5 (too loud to have a conversation despite asking them to turn it down a tiny bit) service 2/5 - waitress took ages to come once we had sat down, didn’t turn down music, we asked for napkins 2 or 3 times ended up getting it myself. Shame as pizza was pretty darn good! Date of visit 12/10/24

The pizza could’ve been delicious, but it came without tomato sauce. In my opinion, this wasn’t communicated clearly enough in the menu so it was an unpleasant surprise as the pizza was quite bland without it.

personal muy enojado le pregunté al gerente si podía sentarme en las mesas de afuera y me respondió si te gusta adentro de lo contrario puedes irte al final me senté adentro y pedí la pizza solo para mí porque mis amigos no querían venir ya que el gerente se comportó así al final conseguí la pizza nunca había visto una pizza tan pobre delgada como un velo transparente y la salsa muy ácida no recomiendo este lugar

I was checking where to have dinner after landing in London and from my accommodation Google showed me pizzeria Farina! I couldn't believe I found a pizzeria with vegan cheese! Pizza is great, service is super fast and the place is lovely! Totally recommend!

Pizza was great Was served by an African women very rude and not willing to talk and help. That’s the only negative feedback. The pizza is good.

The best Italian cuisine in London. Excellent pizza

Finding ourselves in the area we decided to stop for lunch, as Italians, in this place whose specialties are Neapolitan pizzas and typical products of our country. Even though we chose the cheapest courses, we found ourselves satisfied with the quantities and flavours, with notes that were partially different from the Italian ones. The staff is helpful; prices are medium-high; the bathrooms are clean.

Neapolitan pizzeria in Notting Hill, fully Italian management. Excellent pizzas (true Neapolitan) and first courses with the best of Italian cuisine. We met Fabiana who made us feel at ease. All with Italian music in the background. Five well-deserved stars.

This review appeared on nenno pizza and am sure I posted it on Farina Pizzeria Napoletana reviews. We ordered our food and waited at the table. They brought the pizza in takeout boxes although we were dining in. The waiter came and was yelling at us, saying we couldn’t eat inside the restaurant with takeout boxes (even though 1 of the other waiters brought it to us like that). But they said we should leave and eat outside, even though they could just take the pizzas back and put them on a plate (we hadn’t even touched them yet). They were very rude and there was barely any communication. They didn’t even apologize. We definitely won’t go back there and wouldn’t recommend.

Came here while visiting from the US. The reviews looked decent so we stopped here. While the food was decent, it needed to be salted. Great pizza crust though! Service on the other hand, was terrible. We asked for cups, water, forks and plates multiple times because there wasn’t enough for our party. One of our servers was straight up rude and uninterested in life it seems. She had silent attitude and made the overall experience uncomfortable. Do not recommend!
