Vincenzo's Coffee House in Lancaster

Food it very low quality for the price you pay. The coffee I had was pretty watery, I do like my coffee so it is very important for me to experience good quality coffee.

Really enjoyed our brunch meals on a Saturday mid morning. English breakfast and sausage & egg muffin were both lovely. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. Food was served to us quickly, as were any extras they offered such as sauces. The vanilla slice is probably the best one I've ever tasted! 😋 Absolutely delicious!

Got shouted at for closing door. Told to sit at other end of restaurant, if I did not like door open. I am on a walking stick.why should I have to walk to other end of restaurant to not freeze. I will never go again. I have never been spoke to so abnoxiously, it was embarrassing!

Long brown hair on tea cake. Absolutely awful and denied by staff. My friend is blonde and I'm ginger!

Never again, how they haven't been shut down is a mystery. The glasses of water were served in dirty glasses. The soup tasted of dish water. The place was filthy, the staff had not been taught food hygiene. The manager was super rude. Never again.

We went to the Vincenzos in Market Gate, which I believe is owned by the same people who run the Vincenzos coffee house is st. Nics arcade. The service was appalling. We had been sat for barely 1 minute when they asked if we were ready to order food, and when we said no they then didn't come back for a good 15 minutes. The server made a mistake entering my partners order, leading to them getting the wrong food. We also had to ask for cutlery after food had been served. I ordered the large breakfast and was severely disappointed. Luke warm baked beans covered the entire plate, making the rest of the food a bit slimy and I felt it made things go cold quicker. The bacon was burny black in places and was inedible, the sausages were bland and not well cooked, the eggs and black pudding were cold and not pleasant. The only parts of the breakfast worth eating were the hash browns, which I believe come pre made and are warmed up, and the toast. For £12 would expect far better quality and for the food to be hot and well cooked. Overall experience 2.5, would not be eager to eat here again.

Lovely decor, a welcoming and relaxed feel and the staff were so friendly! We enjoyed prompt service and excellent food, we will not hesitate to return and recommend, thank you!

Don't recommend this place, the food wasn't very good. Went with my friends for a breakfast and a coffee and all food tasted processed considering the prices for food. The coffee was also lukewarm and going cold by the time it got to me.

Terrible hygiene and staff treatment, wouldn’t recommend going anywhere near this abysmal “cafe”. I can’t believe the attitude of these so called staff, they were argumentative with both the customers and their colleagues, I didn’t see a slight bit of professionalism. This place should be renovated and redone.

stopped here for coffee and a scone. Friendly enough until I said I did not have change. The young man who served me the coffee and the scone was very friendly. Coffee decent enough but the scone was totally stale I left most of it . The lady on the next table had one and hers was the same

We came across this gem while exploring Lancaster. The cafe was full which in retrospect was unsurprising as the quantity and quality were both excellent. We just had drinks, one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. Looking at the pizzas and general food that was served it looked so big, fresh and smelt amazing.

Some rude staff made us feel really uncomfortable and awkward when ordering our food. Wouldn’t recommend as when you eat out you want to enjoy the experience and unfortunately this was not case for us. Rubbish atmosphere but this is probably down to the staffing. Avoid!

We visited this place with a group of friends, we were gratuitously hurried and left before ordering our meal. We did manage to dine and wine in an established amiable restaurant on the Market street .

For sheer consistency, Vincenzo’s is up there with the very best - service, quality, friendliness, all spot on.Whether it's breakfast or lunch or something in between, we have always found a visit to this pleasant coffee house most rewarding.We belong to an early morning contingent, taking advantage of an 8am opening.At that time of day, we usually have coffee and toast, the coffee always nice and hot and the toast crisp and buttery!The rapport between regulars is an integral part of the visit, with gales of laughter and decibel-challenging impassioned arguments setting the scene for an uplifting start to the day. Much of the merriment is down to the likes of wisecracking crown green bowling star Michael; crossword champion-in-chief Peter; and Mel, a bubbly, super efficient member of the front of house squad. Helen and Vinnie can take great pride from running one of the top establishments in the city. Great stuff!

The staff are gorgeous and very helpful and polite. The customers are very friendly in fact it is like one big happy family. The bacon muffins are fantastic. A great place to stop off when shopping in Lancaster.

Stopped in here for some lunch while I was in Lancaster. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The staff members made sure the cafe was kept clean after people had left the cafe. The food was good but the pizza base was a little bit dry the topping had great taste and flavour.

The food and drink here is always really good and on the occasions I have eaten there it has been a pleasant experience.

We're regular visitors to Vincenzos, usually if there's a call for a big bowl of delicious, filling pasta! Gorgeous coffee and cake too, and the specials board always offers really tempting combinations. It can be a little loud inside, being a deservedly popular place(!), but there's also the option of sitting on the terrace outside the restaurant area. It's still indoors, being in a shopping centre, but sitting there and watching folks walk by feels very Mediterranean somehow. Friendly, efficient waitresses. Could do with another loo, perhaps!

We called in here for lunch on a very busy Saturday afternoon. We ordered two sandwiches and drinks. Our food and drinks arrived very quickly even though there were lots of customers. What I hadn’t expected when I ordered my chicken sandwich was that it was freshly cooked hot chicken. Delicious, as was my husband’s BLT also with freshly cooked bacon.

Came here 2017' it was great so we tried again. The food was fresh and excellent at a decent price, the tables were cleaned and cleared quickly. Staff very pleasant and helpful, found it very clean. The coffee was excellent and service pretty quick. this place is central in the town so handy for most place. No Wi-Fi though which would be a plus.

Ordered a pot of tea and eggs on toast the eggs on toast was ok . The tea pot cup tea spoon saucer milk jug where all dirty showed the waitress and she agreed but did nothing about it . The table was grubby aswell to be honest and not been used for a while and was set up so wasnt like someone had just used it .

I had a lovely iced chai latte here when in town for a conference. The only thing that would have improved my experience was free WiFi!

I always come here for lunch. The food is reasonably priced and always of good quality. All the food is great, but I especially recommend the specials! Also good smoothies. Will continue to come here, one of my favourites in Lancaster.

I came with my Spanish colleagues from Lancaster Uni to celebrate our good marks in the exams, thinking this was a great place. One pizza was burnt on its base and I had to tell them because "they didn't notice" and the same happened with another two paninis, but we decided to not say anything else because we were going to waste all the afternoon there complaining. We could understand that burning the base of one pizza is a mistake all we can make, but burning three plates...

This is our second visit while shopping in Lancaster. We had a lunch of sausage paninis and bacon muffins......Very tasty, we all enjoyed every mouth full!!! The coffee is great too, my Mocha was one of the best ive had in a long time.

I usually go to chains to have a coffee, but this time I decided to try this coffee shop. All the place has a fatty-like smell and was so smoked. I ordered a cappuccino if you can say it was a cappuccino, and it was horrible. The staff is really lovely but the manager, who was stressing out all the time. I’d like to feel relaxed and comfortable while having my coffee, thing you cannot do in this place.

Situated within St. Nic's arcade, a wide corner frontage makes Vincenzo's a very easy place to find and to meet people, and the 'outside' tables are nevertheless warm and safe from the elements with plenty of opportunities for 'people watching'! The coffee, perhaps machine delivered (?) leaves something to be desired. Inside it is a little dark, and feels slightly understaffed with tables often uncleared. Convenient but not coffee-licious!

The whole place smelled like garlic and it was quite moist..average service..terrible cappuccino but good panini..the scrambled eggs tasted funny..not a good place to eat

This is a very good coffeehouse you can sit inside or outside (this is in a shopping arcade) not in the open air . So very pleasant when the weather is not good. The coffee is good and staff very pleasant.

After passing lots of chain coffee shops we stumbled across this busy coffee house. What a great find! The coffee was fab but the service exceeded expectations. The staff worked hard and clearly enjoyed their jobs. It was super busy but the service was fast with a smile. The staff buzzed about ensuring all tables were cleared promptly and kept everything flowing. Great to see a non chain place so well run and busy.

Very quick and efficient service, queue up and pay moments later delivered to your table. Great selection of cakes and the menu looked very interesting, particularly the chalk board.

Visited for a quick lunch. Food quite cheap, I had the chicken Caesar salad. It wasn't bad, the leaves were fresh and the dressing was good. However the chicken was very dry and I left most of it and the croutons were literally just cut up pieces of toast.

Whilst on our recent Narrowboat holiday on the Lancaster Canal we called in during an afternoon wander around the City Centre. I had a large Cappuccino and my wife had a large Latte. We were served promptly and the coffee was excellent.

I really can't complain about Vincenzo's. Whenever we are in the City Centre and need a coffee or bite to eat, this is always our go to place. Came here with a friend to catch up over coffee, and wasn't disappointed. Served promptly by a polite member of staff. I'm also really happy that you can make drinks using soy milk. Thank you.

Visited for breakfast menu looked really nice chose poached eggs on a muffin with bacon and coffee. The muffin was very dry and the poached eggs solid and tasted of vinegar not how I expect poached eggs! The bacon quite fatty ,coffee was nice and the staff friendly . I will try here again but maybe for something else on the menu

Stopped in by chance. Didn't know the area and was looking for a place to sit down and plan out next move. Glad I did. Ordered a seafood pasta and it was tasty and filling.

The food is good, the service also but the noise is insufferable. OK, there were some kids but most of the noise came from the kitchens. My recommendation, visit by all means but sit outside.

We visit on a Saturday morning with family for a catch up and breakfast. The service is good the food is good but has dipped lately. The down side is the lack of extraction of the cooking odours which linger across the restaurant. Overall a good place to have a bite to eat.

Such a lovely cafe from the outside. Ordered a black coffee and went to sit with a person for a business meeting. The waitress bought it over and put it on the table. The menu then fell completely by itself onto the cup and knocked it sideways all over the floor. I went to the till and 4 people were behind it. I explained what had happened. Not my fault in any way. A few minutes later a lad came and sadly and silently mopped up the coffee. I explained again that the menu fell completely by itself onto the coffee cup.

We go here quite often as we like the toasted tea cakes and the latte. However, we were there today and I have to say, looking round, it's starting to look like it needs a good clean. We were sat at a window table and relaxing and it's then that you notice things. The skirting boards around the place are dirty, the inside window sills (even though small) were dirty. We've also noticed in the past that the tables outside have waste food in the grooves of the table tops. I do appreciate the fact that the place is constantly busy, but these things really do let it down and it's such a shame as the food is very good and the service is excellent.

We've visit this coffee house a number of times.The food is lovely and service great.The staff work hard.Everytime we've visited it's been very busy.We normally have a cooked breakfast and the coffees are gorgeous.If you are ever in Lancaster make sure visit this place.You won't be disappointed.

Called in for lunch with my wife, this cafe has plenty of seating inside and out, but when we arrived it was very busy. We sat inside after ordering at the till, service was great and the food we had excellent, we didn't wait to long before our food arrived. The price pretty reasonable for an adequate lunch.

Have eaten here lots of times from breakfast to lunch and coffee and snacks. Breakfast good though not now the cheapest nice service and good quality food Staff always pleasant and friendly. Caters for all age groups.
