Village Pizza Kitchen in Mid Sussex

Highly recommend What a fabulous authentic pizza establishment in our local village. Went here as a family of 7 yesterday and we were not disappointed. The pizzas were so delicious and made with homemade dough and carefully selected ingredients used for the toppings. The pizzas are even better than we have had on our many visits to Italy. The children’s menu at £10 for a two course meal was excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyed by our pasta loving 3 year old. Great menu and drinks selection . A welcoming restaurant with friendly, happy staff . How very lucky are we to have this little gem in the village 🤩

VPK has recently gone from takeaway only to opening a restaurant and it’s great! Best pizza outside Sicily and the people are really friendly.

Just had a beer in The Hop Tub. Thought we would have take away Pizza to take home. There was a long waiting time. However there was a table immediately available so we were offered that. My wife one of the specials. I had goats cheese with ham. We also had green olives and a Portuguese red wine. All were excellent. The Pizzas were as good as ones we have had in Rome and Tuscany. Will go back again sometime and book ahead next time.

We’ve had plenty of take aways but this was our first visit to their restaurant. Beautifully decorated, cosy seating areas, super friendly staff and a great happy vibe. Great wine menu, nice to try something new for a change. Our pizza’s were superb, great flavours, really fresh ingredients and they were so good that we cleared our plates. So lucky to have this restaurant within walking distance of where we live. Coming back very soon.

Really excellent pizza and pasta last night at Village Pizza Kitchen. Their pizzas come in some really interesting flavour combos, the sausage margarita I had was to die for. And also, they are excellent for coeliacs; we popped in to as, as pizza restaurants have a lot of flour flying about; but they have a lot of precautions in place that meant he enjoyed his gluten free pizza with no anxiety at all. We recently moved to the area and are very happy we have this lovely place on the doorstep.

I have travelled far and wide. And I have eaten a lot of pizza. Spent many evenings on work trips sampling the best the motherland of pizza, Naples, has to offer. Plenty of quick lunches in the back streets of Milan. Many evenings in New York City trying out the newest and the old school. And the whole time, it turns out the best pizza I have ever tasted happens to be in the village I live in. Everything about this place is wonderful. Great pizza basically starts with great bread, and VPK utterly nail it. Exceptional and often locally sourced ingredients make for a fantastic and interesting menu that brings their outstanding sourdough into the realms of holy mother good pizza. We used them for my partner’s birthday at a local venue and they arrived exactly on time with piping hot fresh heaven sent pizza and an array of lovely sides, all expertly put together. Some would say a tad expensive, but they are wromg basically. You get what you pay for. In this case you get the best pizza on earth and I for one think it to be nothing but incredible value. We had our first pizza from the Village Pizza 🍕 😋 Everyone was I complete agreement by far the nicest pizza, so fresh just YUM!

We went for my daughters 21st, she had been on a run and discovered it on her way through Hurstpierpoint. The staff reserved us a table and gave us a friendly welcome on arrival. We were all in agreement that they were some of the best pizzas we had EVER had and the menu was amazing! we really liked that they used local produce too. To top off a fantastic friendly service they sang Happy Birthday and brought out a cake. It's a 5* from us and definitely worth a visit - see you again soon . Thank you xx

Ordered pizzas for a large group whilst camping nearby. The staff accommodated our order despite it being a very busy Saturday night for them, and provided a warm and friendly welcome while we were waiting for the pizzas to be cooked. The pizzas themselves were delicious and the cookies they sell on the counter made a lovely pudding. Highly recommend.

Had 5 takeaway pizzas , could’ve eaten them all but selfishly my four friends wanted theirs … I live in London , visited HPP for a few days , this was the best pizza I’ve ever had . Cheers all . See you again soon .

We've ordered from Village Pizza Kitchen a number of times, and have NEVER had an experience that wasn't fantastic. The pizza is SOO good. Crispy base, with lovely leoparding. Tasty toppings, not overloaded but bursting with flavour. Honestly - if you like pizza you are going to LOVE VPK.

The finest pizzas i've had in very a long time. Really interesting toppings / combinations plus high quality ingredients. Some real effort has clearly gone into sourcing the mozzarella, meat etc. There's something magic in the tomato sauce and i'm still eating the delicious chilli jam a week later with cheese & biscuits! Very reasonable prices for real quality pizza too.

We tried this artisan pizza place a while ago, having visited the Hurst festival today I decided to do a review from when we ordered take away pizza. Such lovely pizza, I see their menu has extended since the last time we ate. Their gluten free pizza was really good. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from here again. Wonderful fresh flavours, lovely staff.

Have had a couple of pizzas from here recently and they are first rate - we got used to great quality pizzas having lived close to Pizzaface in Hove for many years and VPK are right up there with them. Recommended!

Probably the best pizzas my partner and I have ever had. Love the way that they use as much local produce as possible.
