Fairly rude staff member who says yes when he first sees you and then they forgot to give me the drink

Our delivery driver was amazing. Our place isn't the easiest to find but call us straight away and he was with us very quickly after a short phone call. Great service and brilliant pizza a+++

Placed a delivery at 6:15 and it arrived just minutes before 7:30. I called the place 6 times and not once did they pick up. The pizza is also just subpar. I do have to say the delivery man was lovely and friendly but for the quality of service from the store itself in tandem with the quality of pizza received…i’ll just stick to dominoes

Sometimes ok but quite often send the wrong item (clearly not paid attention to the details of the order) then it’s a wrangle to get them to send the right item plus by the time you get it the rest of it is cold. You had one job…

Placed a delivery order, when it hasn’t arrived 20m after scheduled time called and told there were no drivers and I had to pick up my now-cold pizza, despite email confirmation that it was a delivery order - and they never even though to tell me they wouldn’t be delivering it until I called to ask why it was taking so long! Then when I asked for a refund on my cold pizza because I’d wasted so much time once I’d gotten to the restaurant, the employee was completely unapologetic, refused the refund and the was so incredibly rude! This absolute clown mocked me with a snarky line that ‘Oh you have a refund but then it’s no pizza for you’ before mockingly taking the food back to the kitchen. I finally called this ridiculous, entitled man back and relented and, since I was starving and sick of the whole experience, just collected my food without a refund. Utterly ridiculous experience and outrageous service - I’ll obviously never be ordering from this joke of a business again.

Originally ordered through deliveroo as the papa johns website does not have 4 cheese potato tots. Papa johns then cancelled the order so we tried calling. No answer. After waiting we then called again, we were told an hour wait and there was no driver. We gave our order and asked if they had any deals, even thought on there windows of the shop it promotes all these deals we were told there was none. Very poor service

This was the worst service I've ever had from a restaurant/ takeaway before. We waited an hour and a half for our pizza and still nothing. Tried calling the store and they didn't answer the phone. Finally when we got through they said they were understaffed and didn't have a driver available for another 25-30 minutes and we could collect it if we wanted it sooner (even though we had to pay for delivery) which we said we'd do. After driving to the store, they told me they'd just sent out a driver with it to our house so if I wanted it, I'd have to drive home again... So 2 hours after ordering we returned home to a cold pizza on our doorstep and the order was wrong! Looking at other reviews, this isn't a one off!

The worst Papa John's they gave me was an uncooked pizza that was thrown in the bin. will never go to this place again.

Don’t bother. Consistently the worst Papa Johns. Every time it’s late by hours. 2nd to last time, I ordered at 7pm and it arrived at 10pm, they sent a free medium pizza voucher. Went to use it a few weeks later, expired. Ordered a pizza anyway, waited 45mins, rang up ’just going in the oven’ cancelled it. Dominoes came round and delivered in 20mins

Joke of place been waiting an hour and 20 minutes and been on phone waiting on hold for 15 minutes to find out wth is going on !! Joke of a place run by clowns

Sadly huge issues last few orders. Constantly late and missing items. Seems desperate need of organisation. Not enough staff or food is pretty basic.

We’re do you start. If I could I would be giving a score of minus. Ordered a delivery via the app. After an hour the app showed it had been delivered. Looked all around could find my food. After an hour I called the store to be informed my order had just gone into the oven. When I explained I was informed by the manager that it would be at least another hour. So total of over 3 hours. This was due to them being short of staff. I decided to cancel my order and was informed I will receive my refund between 5/7 days. I work in retail, refunds don’t take that long. I am now into my 3rd week off waiting for my refund. I have contact the store to be informed it is a head office issues.

Wrong pizzas arrived nothing to what we ordered so waisted £47.99 for nothing

Food was delivered late although on the website it said it had been delivered on time. It was cold when it eventually arrived.

Ordered takeaway from here once and never again. I’m sure papa Johns pizza used to be nice but it was absolutely disgusting and even the garlic sauce was rank. I’ll stick to dominoes.

Had take out - tots and wings. Both were stone cold by the time they got to me. It took over an hour to travel about 2 miles (literally). With delivery fees, for JUST a single order of wings and tots, it was 21 pounds!

Ordered over the phone, they person on the phone was cheerful and patient with me, gave great service and advice on what to choose, delivery was quick, driver was really friendly and professional. The food was delicious and (more importantly) hot. The food was just simply delicious! Will definitely be ordering from them again!

Called up few days ago for collection, man ovet the phone was very nice and helpful to choose my pizza. Pizza looked great and taste was like I expected-amazing! Will be back for sure.

We ordered a pizza that never turned up. We rung up to get another pizza delivered. This was never delivered again…. The team then lied on the phone to us explaining that the pizza had been delivered and then proceeded to patronise us on the phone. It’s unacceptable. We will never be using papa johns again

One of our pizzas didn’t turn up then replacement was sent to the wrong house then they wouldn’t rectify - absolutely useless.

While the quality of the pizza is good, the service at this takeaway is really poor. We ordered at the counter and had to wait 30 mins. The boy serving clearly had no training (not his fault), and we were not kept informed how long it would be when placing our order. Later, he told us they were unusually busy, but judging from the attitude of the staff and the pace of action in the kitchen, it didn't seem like it. We won't be hurrying back.

Very unimpressed. Order took two and a half hours to arrive and was burnt and cold. We ate it as we were very hungry by now but was really nor good enough. Wish I had spent my 30 quid more wisely. Shan't trouble them with my custom again.

Ordered a pizza on Friday night 8pm for ASAP delivery. After an hour and 15 I called to check our pizza was still coming to be told it was out for delivery but haywards heath were covering the burgess hill branch as well. After another 35mins (now 9.50pm) we called again to say it is on its way!!!!! By this point we had had enough and were ready to go to bed hungry! Was told we couldn't have s refund as manager not there but would call us Saturday. I call at 1pm to be told yes your number is on his desk, did he call yesterday of course he didn't!!! I'm about to try again! Absolutely don't bother ordering if you live further out than burgess hill as you will NOT be a priority!

Awful, delivered cold hardly any topping on the pizza or garlic bread, you would expect paying £30 for a pizza you would get it delivered hot, had to heat up the oven to heat it up, never again 🤬

Absolute shambles. Almost two hours to deliver our pizza, called twice to check what was happening and was lied to that it was on its way. Pizza arrived stone cold!! Dips and drinks we paid for were missing. Called them to come and collect their cold pizza and refund our money. Never again ordering from Papa Johns. This was not the first time they did that to us.

We order from Haywards Heath Papa John’s at least once a month and are never disappointed! Service in store is friendly and our orders are spot on every time

Have your microwave at the ready. 90 minute wait on a Wednesday night. Pizza & 2 sides all arrived cold. Called up to complain, they offered a free pizza next time but why would I want that? I’m now awaiting a full refund that’s going to take 3-5 business days. Disappointing.

Placed an oder for a family event to be delivered, the delivery only took 6 minutes from the shop so no issues there…BUT when I ordered it the website showed a 25 to 35 minutes cooking time so simple maths should have taken no longer more 45 minutes. NO . … 2 HOURS after ordering the food it arrived it looked like the pictures but was cold. Could not get the shop on the phone, as this was a second chance we will NEVER NEVER AGAIN order from any Papa’s . I would rather have a Dom…..!!! and that’s saying something at least it would be HOT. DISGUSTED PAPA JOHN’s should look very carefully at this shop services .

Ordered a delivery, missing parts of our order, won't redeliver it and our dinner is cold and won't refund me. Absolutely disgusting customer service and quality. Such a shame the Burgess Hill branch was fab, never ordering from Haywards Heath ever again!

It was my first time. The service was excellent even if Ermir was still learning as he’s also new there. Pizza was really good & I will definitely go back there

You could literally feed a family of 4 for a week for the cost of one small (and not particularly great) pizza. It’s genuinely depressing that places like this are allowed to exist.

The 2 stars is due to customer service only. Caprino's and domino's is much better. 1st and only time i will use papa Johns, never again. Was a waste of money to be honest .

Ordered online last night and was clearly really busy. A website glitch meant that we didn't have an order update for a long time, so had to call the store. Whilst obviously under pressure the manager was really helpful, with good customer service and was obviously genuinely sorry for the delay we had experienced. Food did take a while longer to arrive but it was worth the wait. Thank you :)

THESE GUYS SAVED OUR WEDDING DAY! Thank you so so so much guys. We got married on the 28/05/2022.. A few hours before he was meant to serve, our pizza van decided to cancel on us! One of our lovely bridesmaids gave you guys a call and HURRAH your team sprang in to action, your team where absoloutly wonderful and reassuring on the phone. 30 XL Piping hot pizza's arrived bang on the time you promised, and our guests where fed and happy! Honestly we cannot thank your team enough, you quite literally saved the day. You guys must have worked so hard to turn that round in such a short space of time, on an already busy Saturday afternoon I am sure. We are so greatful! THANK YOU TEAM PAPA JOHNS! (We definitly converted some die hard domino's fans as well ;) )

Did collection and was ready very fast. Wasn't able to order delivery as my house number was not on their system and I couldn't manually input it, the house down the road was on their system however.

Pizza was ready on arrival, still hot. Friendly and welcoming staff, found a great deal for me and my family. Highly recommend.

Ordered pizza, and after an hour of waiting tried to call the store to ask where it was. No responses as they’d turned off their phones. Finally turned up two hours later - sent it away as we’d ordered dominos who reliably delivered within 30 mins.

What happened with the holes in your salt jar? Pizza is not the same! You are placing so much salt on pizza - it's impossible to eat! If you may notice low orders even with your email and promotions, please know, people can't take so much salt even after they are tired after work and need a bite. STOP to put so much salt in your Pizza!

Absolute shocking experience. Ordered pizzas and additional extras, after 1 and a half hours still no sign. Called them to cancel as food didn't show. Still no refund as promised! I've been given so many excuses about why the refund hasn't shown in my account but still a no show, like the food ordered. Terrible customer service

Just had the vegan pizza for lunch - delicious! Really fluffy base, plenty of veggies and vegan cheese. Far less oily and much tastier than the other popular pizza takeaway in town!

Just ordered our 1st pizza with papa johns Haywards Heath….never again! We ordered at 6:30pm and am still waiting at 8:45pm with numerous phone calls to them…and they didn’t have a clue where there driver was….my advise go to dominos

So pleased to have Papa John’s jn Haywards Heath, now. The pizza quality is far superior to other takeaways and delivery was so fast the pizza was still steaming. Excellent value with the great range of deals available and very tasty pizza.
