Terrible experience came here to celebrate my birthday the fish my partner had was overcooked the batter was to hard and crispy ,tartar sauce asked for wasn't provided .asked for a full refund on the one meal and the lad serving came over and moodily chucked 3 pound on the table. The meal cost 8.49 not happy staff were very rude I won't be spending another penny in here .. and will be complaining to head office

Brendan /rob/handyen is amazing staff and helpful to help out with the greene king season ticket app but i not happy with jhoney because he bought out a little bit of red sauce and he was rude thaks

It was hissing down with rain and there was a leak in the roof where we sat and a musty smell, which we didnt notice at first. Bit of a wait for the food but the barman was very friendly and helpful. Prices about average, usual burgers gammon fish and chips etc. My friends had the Jamaican stew which they really enjoyed. No hot drinks, which was disappointing but lots of choice of spirits/ales/ciders. Plenty of room for my wheelchair and several disabled spaces at front, but I didn't use the toilets so can't comment on that.

Lovely place to drop in for lunch and a pint. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Ideal for couples families large parties. Would I go again definitely

Went there to meet some friends, walked in a bit surprised to see only handful of people in the pub , went to bar ordered a couple of beers then realized why so few people in pub ,Very expensive left after 1 drink and went somewhere cheaper .

Great service from friendly young woman behind bar and serving food. My wife and I said if we had a business we would offer her a job, give that girl a pay rise!

Really nice staff. Food was amazing i reccomend steak and chips and the chicken wings wiyh bbq sauce. Atmosphere is calming. Good day out with family friends. Also can watch the football games on the big screen. Billard tables for a game with your mates. The place is just amazing. And super local.

I try to visit everytime I'm in Birmingham didn't eat went for drinks but nice boozer gd outside space plenty of parking.

Not the best experience, unfortunately. Had been here previously and had no issues. Due to us being a lager group the food wasn't the quickest over an hour. But this may have been down to staffing shortage so not the end of the world but still a fair wait. The parking is limited now as they have expanded the beer garden taking over the parking round the back so struggled finding a spot. And unfortunately the toilets are run down and in need of repair with doors missing and seats missing. A bit grim in there to be fair wouldn't recommend nipping the loo. Shame really used to be a fair pub.

Ok then this is the 3rd time coming first two times good service good food no problem we will come again. So on the 3rd vist we have waited for 1 hours and 15mins for 4 mains thats a long time to wait for anything let alone food. Really disappointed with the service today hopefully it can improve. A new cook must be needed because almost 2 hours for four gammon is a joke! Bit of a update/edit the chef walked out she should be ashamed. The 3 other staff on were brilliant tho.

First visit here. Lovely light, spacious pub. Excellent food at great value. Atmosphere relaxed and bar and waiting staff very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely visit again.

Went for my first meal here with a friend from Poole near Bournemouth a few Sundays ago. The service was great,food served up within minutes and even had a chat with the chef,Rob,at the bar. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the patrons were very friendly,would recommend the village green and will visit again soon.

The new meniu is not the same like the old one ,the old one was much better

2nd time now we booked for a family meal, booked online phone call, to turn up to them saying we haven't got your booking, family had to sit separately, food took almost 2 hours, the atmosphere was very rowdy, not a nice family pub at all, won't be returning, it's ashame because it's reasonable priced.

It is a bit sketchy for my taste. But good for a quick drink when you are in the area.

I popped in the Village Green, I went for a spot of lunch and I was not disappointed. I fancied the mixed grill and then the lovely blonde bar maid with big eye lashes, recommended the XL mixed grill… This did not disappoint and cooked to exactly the way I liked it. The lovely bar maid poured the perfect pint and it tasted great, the pub was clean and was being ran very well. I will be back!

Real Ale the Bass spot on pint and food like many say and service all round is good. Plus get to see the sport as well.

Food lovely, good atmosphere. There was a long delay on dessert (almost an hour) and elements of the sundae were missing. We were just told they had ran out when it was served.

Place is dirty tables aren't clean when next customer comes animals inside the building people smoking and long wating time for the food to be average

5 stars all round, from the serving sizes to the food quality and customer service to the atmosphere I can't knock anything A decent menu and very reasonably priced It was my first visit and I look forward to visiting again soon

Had the chicken share baskets amazed by the amount of chicken given cooked amazing too by the head cheif rachel definitely will be back to enjoy the other great deals they have on offer.

This pub seriously needs repairing , decorating and getting new furniture in.

Great place to eat .can get a bit noisy at times around the pool table.lots of swearing does not go down well when having a romantic meal.

Food OK used to love the Wednesday deal on wings but this has gone. New menu, vostok reasonably fair.

I love it there. Staff are friendly polite and helpful. I have celebrated many joyous occasions there with friends family and work colleagues.

The food here is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere and a great place to take the kids if you want to get out as a family for something to eat.

Met a mate there. Didn't get a chance to eat only have a soft drink. Able to sit unbothered and talk. Multiple TV screens, great for watching sports. Nicely spaced tables n chairs. Didn't use the facilities either. Menu sounded good so hopefully we'll return and have a bite. Only concern. During our visit, we were suddenly aware and distracted by, a definite and very strong smell of cannabis. I know the smell due to my line of work. I can only surmise that the user was already inside as no new customers came in. To our knowledge. The place was virtually empty during our visit. Therefore I'm concerned staff could have been the offenders.

Been coming here for years for food, but we must say tonite was stunning, service was 100% by taylor, the cook this evening was rachel food was brilliant, hot, well cooked and so nice wanted 2nds lol, all in all an absolutley fantastic meal, and we will be definatley coming here for christmas eve, lve got no hesitation of recomending the village green for anyone to come for food.

The food was very poor, The service is also very poor, from certain members of staff. Will not be eating here again very disappointing afternoon the food was lukewarm and little taste . 0ne female member of staff handed me a dessert spoon after using her hand to wipe, spent a total of £67 in here today total waste of money !!!

Always bring my kids in here for food and they love it,and so do i. The staff and manager are very friendly and professional,can't fault it here,great place.

Had very nice service and couldn’t fault the food there was no chewy parts in my meet and cooked perfectly although it would be better if they had mayonnaise aha but overall I’m very pleased with my visit at the village green Rachel is a very good cook!

Lovely steak dinner at good orice

Took my children and daughters boyfriend on the 30.10.22 ,the service was brilliant from Barr staff to the young girl that served our meals.The food was very tasty, and come out hot, the price was amazing,.As we was in a rush they packed my daughters pudding for her so that we could take it home.Highly Recommended.

Rob and Brendan are very friendly and the food is always nice, compliments to racael the chef. Would strongly reccomend it.

Last visit I was not sure as I felt it was a bit expensive and you sensed trouble. However, a completely different experience this time. The place feels different as your more at ease. Friendly staff and cheaper beer then previous visit with a good ale option. I have never ate here but food looks nice.

The atmosphere was awful. The opposite of your friendly local. Couldnt get on a pool table ..coz it was free...locals where SOOOO not friendly.

Massive thank you to Rob, Charlotte, Missy and the team. We have started coming here quite a bit and feel really welcomed in the warm atmosphere. Our young son has ADHD and is being assessed for autism currently - so has the potential for meltdowns. The staff could not be more helpful - especially when they have seen our boy needing some TLC. Nothing seems to be too much trouble - even on a day where the staff were run off their feet, they still managed to make time to bring over one of our older children's birthday cakes and make a fuss over them. All three of the staff I've mentioned above (Rob, Charlotte and Missy) have at some point in the last 6 weeks given us fantastic customer service and are a credit to the pub. There has been a couple of occasions where the kitchen has run out of certain things but the team have been really accommodating and apologetic. It really is a pleasure to visit.

Our second visit to The Village Green on a weekday eve and we had another lovely evening. Standard pub menu but good value and quality food, excellent variety of drinks (the cider range was extensive!) and excellent service. I had the chip shop platter which was huge and delicious, cooked by Rachel and served by the very friendly and attentive Brendan. Would thoroughly recommend!

Normally great food great prices. But tonight as it was my birthday. We booked a table and they closed the kitchen tonight at 8pm without informing anyone

Been there once before feed was nice but decided to book online a table in advance one day before for 8 p.m. got to the premises at 8:20 was told the kitchen closes at 8 what a place.

Big car park. Clean bright pub. I had a half which looked a little flat. The bar maid topped it for me and said she would change it for me if I did not like my drink. My drink was fine when it was topped. Great service. I went outside for a cigarette and forgot and walked back in the pub with my cigarette still smoking at the bar. I realised my mistake and put my cigarette out on a tiled floor. The manager came over with cigarette smoke coming out of my mouth. He smiled an looked at me allowing me to explain my mistake. He said no problem these things. The menu looks good 👍 next time I visit I will have a meal too. The village green pub. Very relaxed and well worth a visit 😊

The pub has barred me and I done nothing wrong maybe my mental health was playing up but I'm not a bad person so in all honesty I should be allowed to use the village green Erdington

Steak and ale pie burned they forgot the peppercorn sauce Peas were hard sticky tables bone in gammon my mum is disabled and the disabled toilet is uncomfortable.......wood holding up a sink no room for a wheelchair I'm annoyed

Lovely family pub and the food was hot

I've recently moved into the area and came here for the first time to watch the Community Shield game. At half-time I ordered a burger and fries. After half an hour I saw the kitchen runner walk around the pub with my food...but just not to me! I approached him at the bar to explain that I think he has my meal. When he asked my table number, I replied 43. He explained he had already been to 43. I pointed to where I was sitting and said I don't believe you have come over to me. He proceeded to say that table isn't 43. I walked with him to my table and showed him the table number. He went on to say, on the system 43 is in a completely different place. I said not to worry, now you know. I enjoyed my food and finished watching the game. I read on the table that breakfast is also served until 12pm. So the next morning a friend and I turned up at 11:25am for breakfast. There were cars in the car park but the door was closed and we couldn't see anyone in the building through the windows. We assumed it may be closed on a Sunday at this time. We now rushed to drive to the nearest weatherspoons, as we knew they stop serving breakfast at 11:30am. Unfortunately we did not arrive in time and was unable to have the breakfast we desired from both establishments. In the car on the way to weatherspoons, I Google the Village Green to see their opening times. It said that they had been open from 10am, but they clearly we not. I also phoned them but noone answered. I guess I would just like to know what time they do actually open on a Sunday???
