Battered sausage and cod bites looked like they were cooked in crude oil. Brown and burnt. How could you send food like that out and think it’s acceptable?

Food not as good as usual. Fish was really greasy and full of oil. Chips were hard and tastes stale. Quite disappointed as usually really good.

The food is always fresh and good. Kind and willing to chat. The service is excellent. Definitely recommend anyone to try it

Defo will buy from here again … Normally, I go to another place but thought I’d give the Village Fish Bar a go and it was fabulous. Fish batter wasn’t too thick ! Wonderful chips. Also, I had some specific requirements for my order and the man serving was very attentive to my changes! He even knew before I entered when I put it in the notes on Justeat 🥳 5 STAR Recommend! Food was great, cooked to perfection but I had ordered the food at 16:51 and didn’t receive it until nearly 19:30! We love Village Fish Bar and will continue to use it, hoping it was just a one off! Also I would have appreciated it if we were getting updated to why the times kept getting changed.

Seriously. £5 for 4 tiny fish bites. Put me off ordering with you again I'm afraid. What a rip off.

The donner kebab burger with chips arrived cold and wasn't edible. The gravy was the only hot thing but I could eaten it on its own. I won't be ordering again as it was a waste of money. Disappointing

Second time ordering and second time they got my order wrong. Also this time the chips were hard and no salt and vinegar. The fish was horrible and tasteless. Madras sauce has no flavour and they didn't send my gravy. Won't order again

Ordered online and I made a mistake on the order, the member of staff I spoke to was so helpful and corrected the mistake i made very quickly, they stayed when the driver arrived after closing time and kept my food warm whilst updating me, the food has come and it's absolutely beautiful! Ordered on line. Gorgeous fish and chips which were wrapped separately. Fish came with tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. Hubby had zinger stacker which was again very nicely cooked. Had a free Irish curry sauce which was devine. Delivery driver friendly and well worth the money. Defo use again.

The ordering of the burger was wrong for I had requested to be no salad or cheese in the burger. other than that, the other items are alright as is.

Chips were hard the food was upside down in the bag curry’s everywhere

Before it came the driver was confused on where I was but with my place it’s easy to find and when the food arrived it was missing two items and there was too much salt on it the cheese was oily and clumped and it’s given me a stomach ache

The kabab was ok little thick un like the nice thin strips but it was ok will not order it again i say the chilli sauce was bitter and it was fine i think i stick to the normal meal next time but my family did ike the pie and chips try next time

Chips were yesterdays chips... Ordered the loaded chicken burger... man it was gross. Whatever sauce they used wasn't great at all.. or it was gone off. Not usually a fussy eater but that was bad. Wouldn't recommend.

No issue with delivery but the chips were awful, very dry and undercooked, all 4 of us could not eat them. The sausage and batter there was barely any batter on there but still edible, and apparently the chicken nuggets were nice.

So my order didn’t arrive when originally said and kept being put back. When it did arrive 1. No gravy that was ordered! 2. Samosa tray smothered in hot sauce, so soggy! 3. Tried samosa tray and ordered lamb but got vegetable! 4. Chips under done. Not sure I’d order again

Really disappointed, £25 for fish and chips twice, chips were stale, dry and mainly scraps, rock hard. Fish batter was really soggy, full of grease. We have used these many times but this time the food was terrible so won’t use again. Very disappointed.

The chip shop side of things we're lovely, kids enjoyed their sausages and chips and my daughter said the curry was lovely. The Kebab was inedible, the meat was hard a chewy, almost like Jerky, tasted like it was from the day before, and it had a funny taste to it the whole thing went in the bin

Fantastic chippy with great range.

Been ordering from village fish bar for a couple months now and it has been great and the prices are very affordable. They also do great deals! 10/10 definitely recommend

Order was accepted at around 6PM, and was due at 6:50PM. The delivery time was pushed back twice and at 8:30PM we received a notification saying the food was delivered. It never even arrived and no attempt was made to get in touch with us. Won't be ordering again

10% discount is a rip off. They give you 10% off then add 10% service charge so the one cancels out the other. False advertising

Shocking! Chips were brown slimy and greasy. Looked like the potatos had been sat there for a week. The pie looked like it had been through a dehydration machine. I would never order from here again.

Plus forgot my chips had to ring to find out where they are plus had to wait another 10 minutes for my chips to be delivered. It was a birthday meal with the family and I had to wait for my meal while others eat there food. Not happy at all plus it was expensive for what we got

All the food arrived on time. Exactly as ordered. The chips were so nice. I regularly buy from here first time on just eat. Lovely and hot when they arrived. Great for my sister in law as the chips are gluten free as they use separate oil to cook them. Really pleased. Will order again.

Chicken was burnt to a crisp looked like they had deep fried it to reheat as delivery took an hour and we're half a mile away. Chips were okay but pricey. Wouldn't order again.
