Have eaten full english in before and always been very satisfied, today however I had a bacon roll to takeaway - bacon hardly covered the bread and I asked for extra bacon (£5.80!!)

The person serving us was rude. We ordered an espresso, which everyone knows is a strong and short type of coffee. They served us a 200 ml black coffee and said it was a double espresso.

Definitely not recommend unfriendly stuff, expensive, and bad quality coffee.

Good cafe for breakfast or dinner.

Brilliant little cafe. Plenty of seats, yet spacious and as intimate as a cafe can be. I personally love the decor. Food tasted top notch and served in a reasonable time. The waitress was very friendly and engaging, and it's nice to see a chef smiling, everyone clearly enjoys what they do. Great food, GREAT prices, great little cafe that the village should be proud of.

First time here. Ideal location having parking directly outside. The waitress was very friendly and handled our order professionally and efficiently. The food was served piping hot and was very tasty indeed. The hash browns were obviously cooked in fresh oil and were light and crispy.... just the way we like them! For 3 x breakfasts, 3 x hot drinks and 2 x fruit juices it came to £38...... not the cheapest but definitely worth the money!

Good service, was sat down and ordered with the minimum of fuss, there wasn't anything too much for the staff. The other patrons seemed comfortable with the staff. Well worth the stars rated on Google.

We walked past this cafe and it seemed welcoming, all the staff were in Christmas attire so we thought we would try it. We sat down at a table and the waitress asked us what we would like to eat, we explained we only just arrived and hadn’t looked at the menu yet, she walked off and came back 60 seconds later, again we told her we hadn’t had chance to look at the whole menu, we felt rushed and it certainly wasn’t service with a smile. Fast forward, we ordered and ate, the waitress took one of our plates away before the rest of us had finished, and then took the next plate before we could even put the cutlery down. We felt rushed and unwelcome. We won’t be returning here.

Cafe is spotlessly clean. Staff made me feel very welcome and were very efficient. My breakfast was absolutely delicious and it was a good mug of tea. Good price I'll definitely be back

It was our 2nd visit today, I had the all day breakfast, Mum a jacket spud, both were delicious, hot and nicely presented. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the prices reasonable in the current climate. We'll be back soon!

Not sure why the last few reviews were so anti. Popped in with my partner Sunday morning at 9:45. Busy but still some tables to be had. Service with drinks was pretty much instantaneous and with a smile, sone chat, and warm welcome. We both ordered a different large fry up breakfast, and both were superb, and very reasonably priced. Sausages were large and tasty, eggs well done, everything was hot and delicious. Toast was thick uncut bread with lots of butter. I had an OJ, large, which came as a pint, and was proper juice, not squash. Tea was piping hot and well made. Decor was classic greasy spoon but tidy and clean. Lots of happy faces in there enjoying good food and a natter, and the radio was on for some nice Sunday morning background music. These sort of classic English cafes done right seem to be a dying institution, which is a shame. Use them or lose them, I'll definitely be popping back soon!

Good inexpensive food in a clean cafe.

Used to go to this cafe regularly with my parents growing up, visited recent with my parents for first time in few years and totally dissatisfied, burnt sausages, tight portions, rubbish service.

Very good options for breakfasts. Friendly helpful staff. Clean establishment. Went on a Sunday morning and was very popular.

Just had the nicest egg and bacon baguette the bread was so fresh and no fat on the bacon but best of all the egg was slightly runny just the way it should be ! Hubby had a sausage and bacon sarnie which was perfect too x

This cafe is expensive. 2 bacon sandwiches.and 2 hot drinks costed about £12. I was surprised at the cost. The bacon sandwich was nice my grumble is that it was two rashes of bacon. The hot chocolate was lovely. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. The bread was nice. It was all nice , but a bit expensive.

Toasted egg + bacon sandwich. Sausage + tomato sandwich. 2 x coffees 1x can of Fanta All to take away. £17.65!!! Food wasn't great and coffee weren't either. Won't be going back

They speak fluent "fry-up" here. You can get all the usual offerings, but, unusually, they also have black pudding. The service is friendly and efficient, you won't be left with your tongue hanging out waiting for your order.

Wont be back ordered chips for my grandson and he couldnt eat them as he said they tasted funny also were not hot !

7am fry up and cup of tea. Lovely jubbly. Tasty food, clean venue and friendly staff. Cash only. Will be going again :)

Lovely poached eggs on toast, the eggs were cooked perfectly.

Rude staff when i rung and asked to speak to the manager, they said he wasn't in and hung up immediately

The food here is lovely. Especially the breakfast stick. Delicious. Driver really friendly and very quick delivery.

5 of us went for breakfast, food all came out wrong with things missing so lots of separate plates poached eggs like rubber and sausages were rank! £50 for the privilege and didn’t care we wasn’t happy! No discount for horrid food and rude service!

Took our family there for breakfast- 2 of the breakfasts had items missing, the quality of the food was poor (sausages like sponge- questionable meat content, poached eggs were hard boiled, bubble consisted of just mash and peas?!) There was no apology for the missing items- one breakfast had no eggs, fried slice or bubble- all were bought over on separate plates and bowls at different times. Plates were collected with whole items left on them- no one asked if the meals were ok or questioned why so much food was left. Given that the food was cheap quality, it certainly wasn’t reflected in their prices… they even charged us for a cup of hot water lol! When we went up to pay, we said that we weren’t overly impressed with the food but was told ‘if we didn’t like it, don’t come back’ - which of course we won’t. Not that they’ll be bothered, it was packed (although I can’t see what people like about it?)

This was the first time I have tried this café, and I was very disappointed due to the low standard of food and the way the breakfast had literary been thrown together. To start with every item had been piled on top of each other meaning you had to dig to find the eggs right at the bottom. Secondly, I can honestly say the sausages are the lowest quality I have had from a café in a very very long time. The portion of beans was inadequate very small, mashed together and very low quality. The eggs had clearly been sitting around for a while. I would say to anyone looking for a delivered fried breakfast look elsewhere as there many cafes in the area that offer this service.

The staff were friendly and not in a hurry. The food was good cafe food.the printed menu was a little confusing but they were great in Explaining. We will return on our next visit

The food was delicious, and the quantity was perfect for one person to eat. The choices are quite nice as well, they also have option of good milkshakes.

Traditional cafe serving mostly fried food. The dish I ordered was cooked fresh (the chips were burn-your-mouth hot) The coffee was unexpectedly good . One star off for slightly uncomfortable seats.

The staff were extremely rude, ruined my day.

Wasn't best pleased. All the food was overcooked and over fried, even the toast was black. I don't mind a little but of oil but that was too much. The baked beans were cooked in a microwave and some came out a grey colour. I don't think the guy was the usual cook so he's probably just not experienced in the cooking department. He was kind though, and a pleasure to talk to.

Nice diner, a bit like an old wimpy but run by people who seem to care. Will go back again

First time we visit this cafe today, was a really nice experience from start to finish and we was both very happy with our meals. I would say the prices could be a little lower on some of the items, not all. We will definitely return.

Food was good. It was also set up well for the social distancing. It was clean. All good so far. Prices could be %10-15 cheaper(?)

It's OK and that's it. Overpriced for the quality of food. I've been twice and both times for full English and both times left feeling a little unsatisfied. Staff are friendly. It is a cash only venue too so be aware to take cash with you.

Just had The Village Cafes new fish and chips. The fish was really fresh, flaky and white with great batter. Chips were not made from fresh potatoes but chunky frozen chips but still nice. Would recommend this new dish. Cost is £8 for medium and £9.40 for large.

Just had lunch delivered, turned up very quick, still hot, and tasted good, will definitely use this cafe again.

We've just treated ourselves to a take away lunch from this cafe. Very easy to order by phone, very helpful gentleman assisted with the menu. Food arrived quickly, and was well packaged, it was lovely! Brilliant service and reasonably priced, will deffo be using again 👍

Always hot fast food, very consistent. Slightly over priced compare to other cafes but it is nice. It is in walderslade village so nice setting and they have just upgraded there tables and chairs which are now sofas. I get a great welcome everytime I go there!!!
