Excellent no frills bar, the staff here cannot do enough for customers, fabulous old fashioned service. The bar is where the villagers go to relax and unwind, everyone made us very welcome. I had a sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection, whole meal was very tasty. Very well done to all.

Sweet local pub set in a hall with a community vibe. This is a grass roots, local, no-frills place with really great food, beer and flavoured ciders. It's lovely to enjoy the atmosphere of locals chatting with each other and the food is hearty home cooking. We had slow cooked pork with gravy, chips, mash and seasonal vegetables and the tomato and basil soup. Everything was delicious and the servings were generous. They don't serve food on Sunday nights which us when we returned but the punters gave us a great recommendation for an alternative. We had hoped to repeat on Monday night but it was closed and it was our last night in the village. Highly recommended and welcoming of kids and dogs!

We visited several times during our stay. We particularly enjoyed the Sunday lunches which were huge! Other times we popped in for a drink. We found it welcoming. YMMV

Ok I'm not an expert on what is and what isn't "Traditional English" but in my mind Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Potatoes and Gravy with 4 kinds of vegetables is Tradition. We had their Sunday Roast dinner to go (Tier 4 Lockdown) the only thing that could have made it better is if we could have eaten in. Were coming back for this dinner after the Pandemic is over. The place looks to be nice and the people are very welcoming and efficient.

Friendly atmosphere, very nice staff and really good honest Sunday lunch, what a real reprieve from all of those Gastro pubs. Choice of roast meats, excellent vegetables and plenty of them. It does what it says on the box and at a very acceptable low price. If you want a nice welcome and some really good home cooked meals - try it.

My wife and I went here for dinner and what a great place this is. The service is really friendly and it looked like the most customers where locals with their dogs. The food was also quite good. They sell out quick so if you come a bit later in the evening chances are the choice is limited to the leftovers. Would surely come here again if we were in the neighborhood in near future.

Love the village bar, I always come when visiting my brother who lives in the village, the food is fantastic and it is priced so reasonable. Last time we had Sunday lunch and it was as good as I have had in a fancy restaurant but for a quarter of the price and actually more tasty. All the staff and owner are very friendly, I would most certainly recommend.

The village bar in Weston-sub-Edge is really friendly and capably run by the lovely Becky. The Hall has an outside seating area for when the weather is nice, the bar is very dog friendly, and has the bonus of having a full sized snooker table, darts board and table table top air hockey in the upstairs room. There is a decent menu which is really cheap, as are the drinks. Its even cheaper during happy hour - unbelievable prices! Food is freshly prepared to order. Opening times are usually Thursday to Sunday, but sometimes it does open during the week for drinks if there is another function on. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a few miles from us but is our preferred local. It's very well run with friendly staff, great home cooked food, a growing variety of very reasonably priced drinks. Loving the new Gin selection :). Locals seem to love it, visitors are made welcome as are dogs and children. Would highly recommend. Note only open Thursday to Sunday currently .

We are here a couple of times while camping with friends for the Bank holiday weekend. Im pretty sure that the Village Bar is a community run venture (apologies if I'm incorrect). Anyhow one thing I'm sure of is that this has got to be one of the friendliest pubs I've been too. So expect a warm welcome. There is a good menu with a few specials. Traditional basket type food here, which for us was just what the doctor ordered so to speak. So lovely simple food washed down with a few beers makes a perfect evening. There is a games room upstairs with a pool table and darts. All in all this is a great place to spend quality time with friends.

Went here prior to new year dinner at our hotel The Seagrave Arms for a couple of drinks, what a lovely place this is and the drinks are unbelievably cheap, I thought I misheard the landlady when she said 6 pounds for two glasses of red wine?! If you ever stay at the Seagrave, check this place out it is about 200 yards up the road that is opposite the Seagrave.

We did not eat here, but called in for a drink. Obviously very popular as it was packed. Possibly due to their restricted opening hours and the difficulty in keeping it fresh, there is no real ale.

Popped out for a tour round in the car to find somewhere for a weekend drink and spotted this perfect Village Hall Pub. Great host and simple good quality food, local sourced homemade puddings & cakes. Quiz nights too. Settees to sit on. Went back following week for 2nd evening and, again perfect. Definitely will be adding this place to our 'places to go'.

Just come back from a Friday lunchtime meet up with the family and all I can say this is a brilliant bar located in the village hall offering a great selection of all the usual food you would expect to find in a village pub but the twist here is it is better and less expensive. The owner Becky made us very welcome straightaway and told us that she had only been there for a few months but what an impression she made on us with excellent food served quickly and a wide choice of beers and spirits. The place was absolutely spotless and loads of car parking. Ideal for cyclists as it is on the intersection of two of the national cycling routes. Big bonus with this village bar there is a snooker table upstairs and pool table plus for the more adventurous the village hall at the back of the bar can hold functions , weddings etc.

What a find! Beautiful Cotswold stone building attached to the village hall, cosy welcoming interior with ideal mix of sofas, dining area and bar, even a games room upstairs with a full size snooker table and a pool table. I understand it's under new ownership so all new menu including homemade goodies. We took advantage of happy hour drinks on a Friday but saw food coming out that looked very tempting, as did the sumptuous cakes on display to enjoy with a coffee. We will be back for more banter at the bar

Good menu range. Limited cakes available which was disappointing as I’d seen good reviews and photos online. We each had a 7 item breakfast which was good. The pricing was a little higher than I’d expected for what we got but this is a little place and I imagine the overheads are high so we were happy to pay it. Parking must be a nightmare in busy days, very limited, but we went early and were lucky. Our accommodation was literally 2 mins drive from the cafe so it made it a sensible choice. Staff were friendly and food was delivered quickly.

We arrived for breakfast at 10.15 (they open at 9) as the first of 4 couples and were offered a table of 2. We explained we were being joined by friends and there would be 8 of us. They immediately said no as they “didn’t have enough chefs to cook for us”. We wouldn’t have minded had the whole place not been completely empty at the time. We went to the Inn for All Seasons just down the road and even though they were just finishing their breakfast service, we had a lovely welcome and great breakfast.

Loved this little find, stumbled across it after a bike ride & didn't want to leave. Drinks well priced with a great selection. A DJ was on & it felt like we were abroad whilst the sun was shining.

I stayed two nights. Its owner, Jean, with an unstable character and dishonest personality, made our stay a real suffering. He was unhelpful (he didn't want to give us information about means of transportation), bad disposition as a host (she didn't want to acclimatize the room), he is a person who lacks the truth in his opinions. Not recommended. Save yourself problems. I will not come back .
