Went in this evening..sunday ..lovely food ..lovely staff .. i had the lasagne and my partner has pizza 🍕. Highly recommended.

First visit last week, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. will be visiting again soon!

Fantastic food and service. We had an 80th birthday celebration with 17 of us. Food was excellent and service was perfect. Made to feel really welcome. Would highly recommend.

We have had a eaten here a couple of times and both times everything has been great. Yesterday my farther in law came with us. He is far from the easiest person to deal with at the best of times and we had gone to his wife's funeral before this visit. The staff were incredibly helpful and patient including dealing with his unreasonable questions and demeanor. The food was fantastic and tasted wonderful and arrived very quickly. Highly recommended and cannot thank the staff enough!!

Excellent meal with lovely friendly staff

I ordered spaghetti 🍝 bolognaise and it lacked flavour (salt & pepper). I walked in and it felt as if the staff and customers hadn’t seen a person of colour before (felt uncomfortable) and certainly wouldn’t be eating in at all. The place I stayed at did recommend Villa Verde but not for me I’m afraid 😟

A lovely little restaurant. The linguine frutti di mare was lovely, perfect portion size and great flavour. Not a huge fan of the uncooked? onions but I'm assuming its part of the "fresh feel" so thats fine. I've got to say, though, that the starters are tiny and quite overpriced, my husband and I got them to share but there was hardly anything there, and some of the bread with the olives was rock hard. But all in all, a lovely birthday dinner!

This restaurant is a gem in Wellington. We tested the pasta, the risottos but also the meat and fish and everything is delicious! The manager is very friendly and the waitresses are smiling. It's a bit long but the quality is well worth the wait! It was so good that we went back two nights in a row! A special mention to the desserts (the tiramisu is ultra light and the banoffee is great!!). I recommend ++ but ask for the back room, quieter.

Such a shame to have to give 1 star as this is one of our favourite places to eat, however recently not sure if there has been a change in kitchen staff we had roast dinner take away, large portion and it was very disappointing, hardly any vegetables, to be exact 1 piece of broccoli, 2 small potatoes and 1 piece of carrot

Our first visit but definitely not our last, absolutely delicious food, a wonderful choice of dishes and brilliant service. We will be recommending you to our friends. Thank you very much. We look forward to our next visit.

First time trying, lunchtime booking. Can’t fault the staff or service, the food was a mixture as the prawns for starter were tough and chewy but the main which was salmon linguine was excellent. Chef definitely has a good palette as sauces are amazing! Would go back but it’s very pricey or I haven’t been out in a long time …. £2.50 for a half of lime cordial and soda water seems a tad over the top but everyone has to make money somehow so that’s a given.

First outing to this local Italian restaurant, superb service and fantastic food, local and authentic. The lamb shank was excellent, the mushroom risotto outstanding, and finally the pizza was delicious. And if you have room a classic tiramisu stunning.

Really rather nice and will return. Pizza was proper hand made and excellent, pasta was also excellent and too much for my partner to finish. Also has a garlic prawn on "toasted Italian bread" which was delicious - though - the bread had soaked all the sauce up and had turned to mush / bread pudding. Veyr nice indeed and will eb back to try the steak and the pork fillet.

Booked this at the last minute, apart from not being able to park, ( although that does indicate it being popular ) everything else was first rate. The place is very clean and tidy, staff although busy were attentive and informative. The food was excellent, will be returning. Would recommend.

Such a lovely local restaurant. Have been for a date night, as a family with the kids and with out-of-town guests, and every time been so impressed. Everything – from staff to food to atmosphere – is excellent. Portions are great and quality is top. Highly recommend.

Went out for my son's birthday on the recommendation of a friend. Great restaurant, good choice of drinks, went for a pint of the Camden IPA. Food was good quality, great flavour. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was reasonably priced, of good quality and tasty. Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable chairs, recommended as somewhere to eat. I'll definitely return in the future.

Delightful experience at lunch yesterday celebrating with my parents and their 60th wedding anniversary. Delicious Italian food, not overpriced. Attentive (but not overbearing) service. Lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended from an ex gastropub owner.

Although it is a pretty standard trattoria It’s the best restaurant in Wellington by some distance. Good Italian staples and the usual pasta stuff. I am guessing that the chef is limited by the conservatives palates of the locals. Well-grounded basics though. It would be good to get a couple of Italian craft beers.

Food was average - did expect better. Some ingredients overcooked.

The food was very good but there was a big party with a very bad singer in the main dining room. We had pre-booked and spoken to them on the phone and so I was disappointed we weren't pre-warned as we wouldn't have booked that particular day.

Had a wonderful lunch with friends at this lovely restaurant. Offered the usual range of dishes that one would expect to find on the menu of an Italian restaurant but the food was anything but run-of-the-mill. The calimari which I shared was fab and my risotto was beautiful. Portion sizes are good too; I was suitably filled without feeling stuffed. A great place to visit.

Been here 3 times and had the same main course each time as it was so great (pasta carbonara). Service good. Food great. Restaurant cosy. Cold in winter and quite noisy around Christmas party time. Highly recommended.

So we tried out the lovely restaurant and there was 5 of us and £200 later we went home. Food excellent service excellent so why only 3 stars!! Well our party of ranged from 84 77 53 37 and a 14 year old and all the different dishes were excellent but. So after mains and puddings we left feeling very disappointed and hungry. Portion sizes are very mean but clever as the owner knows how to squeeze the most out of every customer , if you order a main and your 8 years old or had a gastric band your probably be ok, or just add £100 to your bill and go for starters and add side dishes . If the portions that should be served were there I would of given a five star , so a bit of constructive criticism. Michael angellos western supermarket is the best around.

Don’t hesitate if you’re planning a trip to Wellington. This restaurant is excellent in every way, our family enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Villa Verde. The manager and staff went out their way to make things right. The food was presented well, had great flavour and good-sized portions. My seafood risotto was excellent, We left the restaurant feeling very satisfied and if we’re ever in Wellington again, we’ll be sure to book again.,

Booked a table here for the first time and had excelllent service - catered to our gluten free/dairy free diet absolutely brilliantly. The manager went through the menu with us and pointed out all the meals and starters that could be adapted. The food was amazing and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

An old pub brought back to life with a great layout inside and out. Good menu, good attentive service, good range of draught and bottled beers. The wine menu is good, although to me, a tad expensive saying that really enjoyed our meal, are we going back, absolutely!

Perfect venue for a family dinner, catering for 5 to 65 year olds! Delicious pizza and pasta dishes, but the highlight for me was a superb lamb shank, which literally fell off the bone. Can't wait to return, next time we are visiting the family in Wellington.

The service was excellent and the staff were wonderful. The food, average, I had the risotto with pear which was a bland as was my husbands Spaghetti Bolognese. The Panna Cotta was more of a custard pudding with no wobble HOWEVER the homemade cheesecake was probably one of the best ones I've ever tasted. The atmosphere was also really good but let down by the table behind who were super loud and kept banging their chairs into ours. Perhaps better to lose a few tables than customers? All in all the venue was gorgeous, as were the staff. With just a little more attention to seasoning/flavour and more space between chairs I would have rated more highly

My first visit to Villa Verde, for Mothers Day, I was very impressed that Wellington has finally got a top notch Italian Restaurant. The Staff are lovely, very observant, polite and helpful. The food is gorgeous and caters to all tastes, ( special mention for the Tiramisu, outstanding ) My new go to place to eat.
