Awful chips. No potato just a crunch. Obviously they were from lunchtime and kept warm. All staff stood with their hands behind their back staring at us as we entered. Felt intimadated not very welcoming. Was looking forward to our chip butties but was very disappointed.

This place has amazing fish and chips....big portions....can get very busy at times..parking ain't to bad...curry sauce is really good...card payments don't always work in there....so take cash...has a big menu including chicken and fitters...really friendly

We really like this place in Wellington, but guys the chips yesterday were awful. The fish was lovely, as it was freshly cooked, but not so the chips. They were dry and hard, and lukewarm. I can only describe them is as if they had been cooked and then kept warm for far too long, hence only 3 stars. No doubt we'll come again and can only hope this was just an "off" day. Well 7 months later I'm very pleased to say, that the fish and chips we had the other evening, were absolutely delicious. Well done guys back to 5 stars.

Staff are lovely and also very organised. The place is clean and well presented. Food is always very nice, good selection, not greasy and they do specials at lunchtime which are very good value for a decent size meal.

We use this fish & chip shop regularly, and sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss. However, I have to say this evenings fish and chips were probably the best we’ve ever had… and we’re old! Also, we’ve been to Rick Stein’s chip shop in Cornwall and it wasn’t a patch on this. Whatever you all did today, keep doing it, because people will come far and wide to enjoy this quality! Brilliant staff as always, can’t fault them.

We had our first fish, chips and mushy peas from here tonight and it was everything a fish & chips supper should be. Crisp batter, perfectly cooked chips, nice fresh fish, and not a bit greasy. This will definitely be our regular from now on !
