Viking Bay Cafe in Thanet

Visited here today food was delicious service spot on. We had chicken burger with sweet chilli sauce would totally recommend, good prices and the pimms was the best!! Perfect place to eat when visiting Viking bay Beach :)

THIS LITTLE CAFE IS LOVELY FOOD VERY GOOD AND A LITTLE BAR THAT IS OPEN DURING FIREWORK DISPLAYS. BEAUTIFUL BEACH THE ONLY DOWNFALL IS THE ABSOLUTLEY DIGUSTING PUBLIC TOILETS

Absolutely wonderful beach cafe & bar situated on stunning Viking Bay and close to the lift. It has plenty of tables complete with parasols. They serve amazing freshly cooked food and have a great selection of bar drinks including ice cold Birra Moretti, Beaverton Neck Oil and Fosters - all on draught. The burgers here are probably the best I’ve ever had and they even do ‘skin-on fries’ here which are always favourite. There’s also really nice whippy ice cream and loads of other ices & lollys and treats. Staff are really helpful and go above and beyond with their customer service. It was quite a sunny day and I’d forgotten my sunglasses, but they’ve even got a beach goods hut beside the cafe that sells A whole range of seaside stuff - so I managed to pick up some glasses from there.😜 I am a bit of a fan of beach bars/cafes and this is definitely one of the best. Would highly recommend a visit. 😜👍

We took 34 year 3 children to the beach. The cafe provided all children and staff with chips to eat at the tables under the shelter of the parasols, at the same time. They then provided each child and adult with a whippet ice cream and flake for a reason all price. There was no pressure for us to leave the shelter from the hot sun. They also refilled all bottles to keep everyone hydrated. They were professional, accommodating and a good price. The children had a memorable day, enhanced by the great service provided at the Viking Beach Cafe.

Fantastic service. Staff and owner go above and beyond. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Perfect break away or day trip.

I contacted the cafe as we were doing a beach run and had a big order for after. They accommodated us and still opened on the rather wet, grey day! Food was lovely and so were the staff. Thank you!

Such good food and refreshments in this cafe. If you cant see what you really want, Martin and the team are happy to tweak what they do have. I am trying to stay away from bread when I can but I do love a BLT, So I have had a BLT salad in the past and it hit my BLT craving. Great food, friendly staff and one of my favourite views.

The cafe and staff are very friendly and helpful. They are there to help you, get what you want very efficiently and with great ease. The added feature of the bar section seems to be a bonus with the longer summer nights!!!

Well where do I start this is the most lovely cafe in Broadstairs and surrounding areas the staff are so pleasant and as for the Owner he goes above and beyond for his customers I cannot fault it my son has a very serious allergy and the owner gloved uo and made a beautiful salad that he was able to eat all I can say is if you’re passing by stop down for a beer and just have a chat with the bald man he’s a great guy !!!

Very nice freshly prepared food to eat on the beach or at the cafe or on the prom This place does get busy but never have to wait too long for food

Nothing really wrong here. You get what you pay for. Nice ice cream. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Excellent afternoon tea and coffee with a lovely vegan lemon drizzle cake - the non vegan ate this and thought it was fantastic

Took miss ya son today for some lunch, it was a busy water gala day but the staff were quick and polite, service was quick and the food was great, served fresh from being cooked and the drinks were ice cold. Highly recommend this place to anyone, the owner Martin is a lovely bloke who kept making sure we’re were ok.

You would be forgiven for thinking you were anywhere else but Broadstairs in England. Sipping Prosecco on a sandy beach (too hot for bare feet) on a May Bank Holiday! The Viking Beach Cafe managed to tick all the boxes and provided us with a freshly prepared lunch everyday...and the icing on the cake - a very reasonably priced bar for our Prosecco, Chardonnay, and beer. Freshly made baguettes with a variety of fillings - catering for fussy children who did not want the salad garnish! they served us with a smile during a very busy week.Beware of the seagulls, we had great fun watching customers trying to shield their chips whilst walking back along the beach.

This café is not the normal money grabbing café, everything here is so reasonably priced from chips to sandwiches. They also have a licenced bar again not overpriced.

Takes a bit of finding as at the far end of the bay down a slope or steps so not recommended for wheelchairs etc but a lovely little spot out of the wind with an excellent cup of tea and reasonable selection of light meals

Because I have a gluten intolerance my husband ordered me the tuna salad baguette without the baguette!! the owner immediately made this into a beautiful tuna salad which was delicious. Thank you...will certainly have that again. Hubby had a bacon baguette which looked and smelled gorgeous.

For a beach cafe it's really high quality. Great bacon butties - but keep them under your towel as the Thanet seagulls have leaned to mug tourists for their lunch.

The staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome. If you want lunch with a beautiful view i recommend this perfect location! 10/10

I needed advice on where to stay and interesting places to visit whilst on business/leisure in Broadstairs! I think it was a mother & daughter who helped me in the kiosk. Super friendly and they helped me out enormously! They are a credit to Broadstairs!! Thank you for helping me out!

Lovely food perfect location great hospitality. Very dog friendly and guy behind the counter looked liked phill mitchell couldnt be more helpfull.

such alovely atmosphere the young lad behind the counter loves a good laugh, the pruces are very fair, and the quality of there tea is good. i think they should branch out to bbq's in summer peak times but apart from that great place.. will visit every time im down :)

nice cuppa, great doughnuts. plenty of staff in the summer. downside is there never seems to be a sensible queuing system when it is really busy. - but worth the wait.
