Overpriced and we had a lot of mistake happen to us during the night. I believe there are better options in town...

Completely over price. Misleading menu. They got our orders wrong from start to finish. Lunch comes with no side dish. I got a plain steak no fries no sauce, not the best cut.

I came here for a bottomless brunch with my friend. The menu looked amazing and the drinks options were really good. When we arrived we were told our table wasn’t ready so had to wait 10 mins. We had no issue with this. What we hadn’t realised is they had started the 90 mins for bottomless brunch….. When we were seated it was asked if we would like some water, we said that would be great but this never came throughout the time. We ordered our first drink which took 20 mins to come and was half filled when it arrived. The food was lovely and a decent portion. Service was very slow and in the ‘90 minutes’ we had 5 half filled rose proseccos each. The servers were slow. The ‘manger’ was like a deer in headlights and you could tell there was a tense atmosphere with the staff. We were then presented with the cheque and told the next people were waiting for the table, to be waiting 15 mins for someone to come with the card machine (tried going to the bar to pay, asking the serving staff but no one seemed to know what is going on). When I tried to speak to someone about our experience no one seemed to care. It was very expensive (£51.85pp) for a pretty disappointing afternoon. Would not recommend for a bottomless brunch.

My mum booked a table at Victors for 3. It wasn’t great to be honest. with exception to our waitress (blonde young lady) who offered an outstanding quality of service. We felt bad we couldn’t tip more due to the food quality and feeling we were being rushed completely and felt unable to relax and enjoy our meal. We understand people wanting to leave their shift on time but a little more tact is required in this regard. Although we were the last to arrive there was plenty of people still eating. It was nice of staff to box what we over ordered and everyone we spoke to was happy was friendly and polite. Too noisy to speak but this was expected as it is a Saturday night. . The food simply wasn’t up to par, we left a little disappointed with Victors with the feeling Victors has gone down hill which is a shame, we really liked Victors when dining with them previously. Perhaps it was simply what we ordered but we would be reluctant to go back. There are too many other restaurants serving excellent quality food.

The staff at the front were unwelcoming and cold.Honestly, I’ve received warmer greetings at local takeaway shops. For a supposedly upmarket restaurant, the attitude was surprisingly dismissive, almost as if they were doing us a favor by letting us in. It left a sour taste before we even sat down. Not the level of service you’d expect at this premium place

I enjoyed a fabulous Afternoon Tea at Victor's. The food was delicious and there is a great cocktail menu, to choose the perfect accompaniment. We had dinner with my friend here, I had the crab tacos and they were amazing. At the door we were welcomed by Sam and she was really smiling and welcoming, Lyu our server was super attentive and always checked back at the table making sure everything was ok. Highly recommend!

Trio Sunday Roast was so good, I don't normally like pork belly but this was well cooked, the Yorkshire pudding was very good too.

The food was terrible and overpriced. Service was really poor. The only positive thing was the decor.

Service was shocking, from our initial greeting and seating, to our order being taken. Still waiting for someone to ask if everything was ok. Food was dumped on our table with no comment. The lady greeting and seating could smile a little and show some interest too maybe!

We have visited recently to Victor's for some drinks and food. Everything was amazing. Lovely manager, host and staff. Ambience is extraordinary. Kudos to kitchen staff for tomahawk steak. Our waiter Bharath has been amazing and went well and beyond to cater our needs. He was very patient and lovely. Looking forward to visit again soon.!!!!!!

Very disappointed with the lack of gluten free options. In a day and age where allergies are more common but seemingly less able to be catered for, I find it frustrating that vegan and vegetarian options are much more easily accessible and that is a life choice, having an allergy isn’t. Yes the setting is nice but it’s overpriced for the limited choice in the menu.

The service was excellent and nothing to point out to the professionals that work in the front of the house. The food was awful, a rustlers burger would have been better than the burger served there. The seabass with shrimp, should be called seabass with fish bait of so tiny that the shrimp was. My partner that had the burger woke up at 1am throwing up, I had seabass and had to go for a meal straight afterward as the portion was suite small. The highlight was the bread and the butters. Eat there was an once in a lifetime time mistake, that surely won’t be repeated.

Wonderful place. The food was lovely, I had a massive tomahawk steak, quality was similar to that of a good steakhouse. Staff seemed very polite and experienced which added to the atmosphere. Lyu kept us feeling welcomed and provided high quality service.

The food was good. We had pizza, cheese pasta, and a burger — all were tasty and enjoyable.

Ilona was incredible! She catered to all our needs, and was super informative, especially as I had a nut allergy! And the whole team were so lovely and accommodating! We had a lovely dinner at Victors in Oxford and absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we arrived, Vinay was incredibly hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of. We tried the chicken burger and Yuzu chicken—both were super delicious and full of flavor. Really appreciated how they accommodated Halal and Gluten-Free options without any fuss. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the service so right. Definitely deserving of a 5-star rating. Highly recommended!

This is 21st century, modern world, you can’t be charging people for not turning up . People live dynamic life and things happen, when you don’t provide services you can’t charge … simple . I have never been and never will in this case. Suggestion- sendc10% off token to those who will book and be charged £20 for no show , this way you give them reason to actually come back

Absolutely shocked by the size of the food coming out. I ordered the fillet steak and it was the smallest piece of steak I've seen for £35 and it does not come with anything you have to order separately so the steak ended up coming to £45 for the meal! My sons burger was so tiny it was laughable! The only good thing was my partners lobster Mac and cheese. We will not be back unfortunately and we are used to London prices but The food is far better quality so you do not paying. I would not recommend to anyone for food. The ambiance is ok and Would possibly come back for drinks if ever in the area.

Don't come if you're hungry... the portions are jokes and I'm not talking about the children's menu which is really ridiculous, a burger 4 cm in diameter... after all the taste is correct But the price is not at all worth what you eat

I genuinely fully regret returning to this place and recommending it to people. The food is mid and the entitlement of the establishment is insane, telling you where you can sit and treating you differently depending on how much you plan to order (which can obviously change). Also the staff was rude. Who do you think you are? I am so tired of places at Oxford feeling so full of themselves because they are obsessed with pretending they have power over people. Get a life

Pretty decent food, but very impolite service. Barely raise their eyes at us, poor communication and didn't felt welcome at all. Too bad, it's a stunning restaurant but shitty atmosphere.

Lovely place. Chicken Burger was pretty tasty but pretty boring at the same time. Needs more than a burger and chips in the plate like a decent salad as the burger is pretty small compared to the amount of chips and the amount of chicken to bun ration, was eating lots of plain bun on 2 sides of the burger. The usual annoying service charge added to the bill and it’s too awkward to have removed £65 for a burger, lobster Mac and cheese, water and a beer doesn’t excite me

The food is very ordinary Asian food. The portions are small and the price is very expensive. The discount coupons provided cannot be used. I don’t understand what you are spending so much money on. Any other small restaurant is better than this one. I will not come again.

Positives - Lobster Mac n cheese was nice - There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant Negatives - Chicken burger gave one of our group food poisoning - Sticky toffee puddings came out within 2 minutes- obviously microwaved - Portions were tiny - House white wine was £30 - Ordered a pint of beer, but they didnt fill the glass - Came to get the birthday discount, but the staff were very unhelpful in redeeming this and we didnt get it in the end - Staff were drinking on the job. - Staff were refilling ketchup and mayonnaise tubs in the restaurant Would not recommend going here as it is expensive and not worth the price.

Lovely place, went for my Boyfriends Birthday and the food was delicious. However, the experience was kinda ruined by the bug in the bathroom.

Restaurant with a great atmosphere in a good location and with good service. We ordered the "Tomahawk Ribeye 1kg" which was of good quality meat. It was undercooked, between rare and medium-rare instead of medium, but that didn't bother me and I'm sure they would have fixed it if I had asked for it. The reason why I gave only 4 stars is because a tomahawk steak should have about 70% meat (700g for 1kg), but I estimate that it was only between 400g and 450g. I have eaten hundreds of steaks in my life, many above 500g, so I have a good comparison. For £85 I expect the correct quantity. I had to pay £20 for the booking because it was Mother's Day, but they forgot to deduct it on my first bill. It was fixed immediately.

The food isn't worth the price you pay. It's the same quality as any fast food place, but you pay three times as much. The place is very nice and the atmosphere isn't bad. The staff is also friendly. We have no complaints about that, but we won't be back.

A vibrant restaurant blending traditional charm with modern elegance

Very disappointed on the quality of the food on a brand that appears to place itself in the higher end market. My roast beef was mainly loads of fatty bits at the cost of over £20 per person only two roast potatoes, three carrots and a bit of cabbage. The outside heater at the far end didn’t work and the middle one had a load of broken glass on the ground. We decided to not to have pudding, paid and left.

If I could give this a 0 star I absolutely would me and my husband have been using victors for a while but last night was honestly the worst experience we have ever had we ordered the tomahawk steak it came out covered in fat the waitress was so rude about it but the manager did come over and apologise and offered us a new one bare in mind we asked for it medium cooked the next one came out blue so we sent it back to be cooked again come out rare we asked for the broccolini to be soft come out hard and almost raw we was offered 20% off our bill which I don’t think we should of paid for it at all honestly awful expertise never will go back.

Everything was great. Robby, the best host ever, did everything above and beyond for us to get a table. Food was great, but his amazing service was even better! We couldn’t thank him enough..

Igloo private space is so pretty and perfect for a special gathering. The service was good and the foods are delicious but a bit overpriced. However we really enjoyed igloo dining.

One of the best cocktails experience in Oxford

We first went a couple months ago - the service was poor and slow and they didn't have some of the food we wanted or a bottle of prosecco! we received a 50% voucher for something, so we tried it again, - as it is lovely looking in there and the food is nice - again, poor service. Just slow - had to keep asking for drinks or water. My sister then received a voucher off thing, so as a family before a show went back - third times a charm. The service was worse! Just really slow and poor. It took 45 minutes for my partner to get a coke. Even though the rest of the party had all their drinks - we asked for it multiple times. clearly was a tough task! - it took an hour to take our food order. food didn't come out at the same time. Mine came out about 10/15 minutes after everyone else's. Food was always nice - the staff were never particularly rude, but just slow and seemed to ignore when you asked multiple times for your drinks. As this was the 3rd time, as I get everyone has a bad day at work, people/places deserve a second chance, they got there's and based on 3 experiences I won't return here based on past experiences. its not even a cheap place - and we removed the service charge on last visit. Shame.

Food was very disappointing considering the layout of restaurant and everything else bacon was cooked no crisp pancakes were meant to be American but were tiny and undercooked overall was not pleased and frankly as a chef embarrassed for the plate I was presented I so hungry so eat as much as I could and paid bill but probably won’t come back the pics on site and even the restaurant was so beautiful but let down with a dish I have had better a greasy spoon in al honestly no photos as could not bring myself to o that to my camera overall foh staff are great but obviously no consistency in kitchen but not worth the money paid at all

As advertised, Victors is a beautiful venue with stunning decoration and a lovely aesthetic. However, this is where much of the romance stops, unfortunately. We had ordered drinks and food, as the food starts to arrive we realise we haven't had our drinks. Only after an enquiry & 10 mins later did our drinks arrive. This is not normally too much of an issue, but at somewhere so prestige, you'd expect different. The food was pretty average. The calamari was rubbery & flavourless; the sushi was hit and miss at best, with some of it being deep fried to within an inch of its life and very chewy. Some of the dishes weren't seasoned well and required additions to make them enjoyable. Service from our server was impeccable, she was lovely and really friendly. However, the service from other staff left a lot to be desired. Drinks were basically thrown down at the end of the table. Finally, while this last point isn't necessarily the restaurant's fault, it's worth noting. As this was a Saturday evening, it was rather lively by the bar and throughout the restaurant, which was to be expected. What wasn't expected was cocaine all over the hand dryers in the toilets, people smoking cigarettes in the male toilets and toilet roll, urine and water covering the floor of the cubicles all of which was occurring at 9pm. Overall, disappointed as expectations were high.

Very disappointing service. Waitress took very long to bring our drinks. My wife and I had to remind her to bring the drinks, seems that she had forgotten. I specifically told her not to add ice in my coke, yet she still did. I had to tell her to remove the ice. However the biggest con is how they advertise for the Tomahawk steak. They advertise the Tomahawk steak at £42,50 for 2 people p.p sharing (very vaguely worded) but when you get the bill, you pay twice the price(£85) because then the waitress tells you that the "p.p" means that it is £42,50 per person. As a customer, we would appreciate it if you were more clear with the price of the Tomahawk steak. It feels as if you are conning your customers when you advertise it like the above-mentioned. The steak was also not worth the £85. We asked for it to be medium rare, yet it still looked very rare and strange enough also very chewy.

We went to Victors for valentine’s day, and I must say we were disappointed. They had a live singer in, who was very talented and it was a nice touch, however, it was far too loud. I couldn’t hear my partner opposite me, neither could the couples either side of us. Halfway through our meal, we ordered another set of drinks, these were then forgotten about. About 20 minutes after we’d finished the meal, our plates were finally cleared and we asked the server to see what had happened to our drinks. Another 15 minutes later, they bought the drinks to our table and we were then asked to leave so they could use the table for someone else, despite the error the staff had made. We then had to go and awkwardly stand in the corner to finish our drinks off. It’s a shame as the food was lovely but the service was poor and I feel being removed from the table even though the situation was out of our hands is unacceptable.

We had a meal here last night. The food was good but not outstanding. The service was friendly but we felt rushed through the meal; we knew we had a 90 minute booking (and paid £40 deposit for the table) but didn’t expect the taste of dessert to still be in our mouths by the time we paid the bill. Given we spent over £100 on a meal for two, the fact that we were in and out in 70 minutes was a bit disappointing. We probably wouldn’t go again.

What a fab experience....Brilliant food,packed with amazing flavours at the Victors restaurant in Oxford.Sat in one of the igloos outside which was snug with a heater, blankets and candles...very romantic.Our waiter and waitress were Lyu and Francesca, they were very friendly,polite, helpful and served us with a smile....a real credit to the team.

So I booked Victor's after seeing the photos of the food online and had high expectations upon arrival we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, don't get me wrong the staff were very friendly and working hard, so we ordered fillet steaks for both of us and fries when the food came out I could not get my breath £211 for two 8 ounce fillet steaks and some McDonald's fries and 2 bottles of wine. What an absolute joke I can't get my breath at the audacity of the place charging that much for such a pathetic meal, there's not a chance I'd ever waste my hard earned money at such a place, when the night before I paid less money for 2 starters 2 mains 2 sweets and 2 bottles of wine at no 1 ship street and it was incredible, the only reason I'm giving it 2 is because the the steaks where cook properly, steak and McDonald's fries 🤣 what a joke of a place

Ok, nice place that’s recommended by someone local. Great location in the Westgate Mall in Oxford. Love the decor and the atmosphere. However what really got to me was the food and the restroom! I’ve been told there are good burgers in England since there is such a big pub scene everywhere so I decided to order that (The Victors Way Burger). My wife got a few apps, tuna tartare and crab yuzu taco. The waiter tried to persuade me to get their cowboy steak which I saw on the other table looks amazing, however we stuck w the burger and apps. While we wait for the food I witnessed the steak from the other table was sent back twice and then the table did not want it anymore and left the restaurant, probably w complimentary drinks. Either they found a way to Scam the restaurant for free food/drinks or the cowboy steak they highly recommended was the worst thing ever.. who knows. When the apps and burger came out the first thing I noticed is how pale my burger looked as if it never saw the light of day and there’s no additional toppings, nothing.. just a pale burger w sauce. The fries are just as underwhelming as it reminded me of McDonald fries. The description of cheese pickles onions and all that jazz was basically all mushed into the sauce. I asked the waiter about the burger and he said that’s how it is.. I’m like really?? Can you at least give me toppings like lettuce tomato etc? And maybe even toast the bread so it looks somewhat appetizing.. he sent it back and brought it back w lettuce and tomato.. so it’s now a pale burger w lettuce and tomato and mcd fries.. The tuna app was decent but the taco was bleh. All this w 2 drinks for over $100 US. Not worth McDonald’s quality food. And the bathroom? I know usually bathrooms would have a scheduled checklist to check the cleanliness but I don’t think this one has it. Not trying to be mean but hopefully they can QC this as much as their atmosphere, and don’t forget the food :(

Absolutely gutted. Rare night away from the kids, just wanted to take my woman for a special evening to a swanky restaurant for a top notch steak but apparently was too much to ask!! Tomahawk steak 1kg sharer ordered medium rare came out blue. On bringing up with our waiter he agreed and said he would send it back to 'go back in the oven' 10 mins later came out still very rare. All they could offer at this point was to 'pop it back in the oven to cook longer' whilst we could see all they had previously done was chuck a load of salt on there to crisp it up. Absolute amature bodge job never in my life have I left a resteraunt so starving.

Went for dinner during the January sales 50% offer, and I’m glad that it was during a sale because we didn’t have a good experience. Pros: -Starters were okay (yuzu crab and prawn tempura) and came out quite fast Cons: - Waitress was quite brash and not very friendly - Our main course took over an hour to come out, I think they just forgot about our order so I had to go chase the waitress. They didn’t come back to tell us when the food was going to come out either, I had to go chase again to find out if we were getting our food - Thousand slice potatoes was really greasy and I couldn’t finish it, the tempura was like 3 bunches of spring onions and was all undercooked. I was hungry so I finished half of it and my partner ate the other half, whilst I had his dish because I couldn’t have anymore of the greasy dish. We were sat waiting for our food for ages whilst the people next to us got their food and finished it, and we still didn’t have our food. Overall, not a good experience and we wouldn’t come back again.

If you're after an afternoon tea to remember, this is the place to be! Courteous staff who were always on hand to get you further drinks etc. Afternoon tea included unlimited hot drinks. Food was incredible. Will definitely book again. Very easy to inform them of a fish allergy and the offending salmon was taken off the tea tray we ordered and replaced! I wasn't sure how to book the domes outside but I'm sure it's just a matter of a phone call. Easy to find and parking is in the Westgate.

Had a wonderful 3 courses yesterday lunchtime 22nd Jan - food and drinks were amazing and served by the wonderful Andrea she really is an asset so friendly knowledgable and kind to us - our Turkish friend who we bought with us (and owns a restaurant in Turkey) was also very impressed with the service well done and thank you we will be back for sure 👌

Unique atmosphere. Tea and wine were great. We went also for the biggest option of sushi and it was nice, but really small, also not that tasty as it can be. But it was served with style 😎

Service was great. Food was overpriced, undersized and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. £28 lobster mac and cheese was the size of a side dish and had no salt at all. The food also came in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday at 8 pm so it's clearly not made fresh to order. The food was nearly inedible. I would not recommend it. Spent over £100 and it was a very disappointing birthday meal. We ended up going next door to the Alchemist bar and ordering snack food there. Much better quality and far cheaper! Avoid.

Although Victor‘s a lovely venue for a celebration we were not overly impressed this time. We had a pod for that bottomless brunch experience. Due to how cold it was the heater provided wasn’t enough, there were blankets but it was how quickly the food became cold that was the problem. The service was very good. But a small heater on the floor in a pod isn’t enough please consider something more suitable.

Love this place usually, however, tonight the food was not as expected. As I write this my brother is currently throwing up due to undercooked squid. As an avid seafood eater, he asked me to try and I spat it out almost immediately, due to the watery sour taste. Dined here for lunch with friends, really lovely venue with beautiful decoration which sets it apart from the other venues in the area. Our waiter was quite attentive, checking everything was ok and the food was delicious. I had salmon teriyaki which was stunning, the sauce and the fillet were fantastic, the side garnish could’ve been a little bigger for the price (£22) but all in all very tasty. My only slight remark would be to improve the system whereby people with bookings are asked to wait, there is no space at the bar to wait which isn’t a great welcoming experience, although as we needed to visit the toilet it wasn’t too much of an issue but it could’ve been a little uncomfortable.
