Friendly pub offering a reasonable selection of food, including some vegetarian and vegan options. Note that the entrance to the car park is not from the main road, as my satnav insisted, but via the nearby turning towards the industrial estate.

My Pie had hard pastry and meat was in one big piece, all other people with me enjoyed the food.

Great customer service from all the staff I came into contact with especially Shyan who served me on two occasions last week it is clear Shyan enjoys her role and is a credit to the company the meals were excellent.

Belly pork with crispy crackling was lovely as was the steak pub pie and the gammon, followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard. Yummy 😋dog friendly too with a canine treat menu for our 2 dogs. Will definitely be back

We came to have lunch at the Victoria inn while waiting for my car to be fixed, Abbey was our server and was so helpful and genuinely cares and the customers experience while dining. She is an asset to your team!

We come here every year for my daughter’s birthday, and once again we just couldn’t be happier. The staff were all beyond excellent, the food amazing, and the whole place is kept in such a lovely clean condition. We look forward to next year. Highly recommend.

Nice place, decent food, service is OK, depending in who you get. If you get Brooke waiting your table, she is a delight and theres another lovely girl with dark hair. Dog friendly in the bar and part if the restaurant. Disabled Toilets available. We have and dinner and breakfast here as stay locally on a regular basis. Anyone staying at Bodmin Holiday Park, it an ideal place to eat. Plenty of parking and a couple of disabled spaces too. Lots of outdoor seating too when the weather allows. I definitely recommend it, There's a great choice on the menu and the carvery is the best we've found around. We will continue to visit when down on holiday.

Typical roadside pub, cheap and cheerful.

The food was excellent we were a party of 4 and ordered 3 different meals, all were 1st class. The staff were friendly and helpful and speed of service was about right for fresh cooked food. The cost for 4 was very reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

Our first visit & won't be our last. We all had the carvery, my wife had the nut roast. All plates were clear by the end of the meal. Excellent carvery, great food, great service. Special mention to Abbey our waitress, who was very attentive, polite & friendly. Jaime who was in charge of the carvery was great & friendly too.

Perfect in every way - completely recommended

As I am unable to drive for a couple of weeks, I ordered 2 Sunday roasts, one Margherita Pizza, a cheesy garlic bread and chips for delivery on Sun 25th Aug, for the family. Easy to order online. All food piping hot and excellent quality and flavour. Delivered with a smile by Samuel. We all enjoyed our food. Highly recommended. Thanks.

We had people with learning disabilities in our group booking, 1 of which uses a wheelchair. The pub was easily accessible. The staff were very accommodating, offered to cater for any additional dietary needs, spoke to the service users direct, all staff were patient, kind and caring even checked that the ambiance was ok for us! The food was great and at an affordable price for everyone. Thank you again

The restaurant itself and staff are amazing great food great value we’ve also had delivery from the restaurant carvery on a Sunday and mid week meals like hunters chicken fish and chips always delivered on time foods always hot great size portions drivers are friendly smart appearance helpful and polite and it’s free delivery . Highly recommend restaurant and delivery 11/10 every member of staff do the company proud

Went for Sunday lunch. Warm welcome from Kelly as usual. Abbey who served us was friendly, attentive and nice to talk with. Food was excellent. We had two carveries and one veggie lasagne plus desserts. Will visit again soon.

Good food. Surprisingly good seeing as it's quite out of the way for most tourists, and everything seemed home made instead of mass produced which is always. Nice place, lovely building and friendly staff. It was a weekday evening so a bit quiet with the 2 of us and just 1 other person eating hence 3 stars atmosphere, but not a lot they can do about that is there?

We weren’t expecting much from a pub next to a travel lodge - how wrong we were… Food was freshly cooked and to a high standard, really tasty. The pub and restaurant was spotlessly clean. Staff were attentive, polite, well organised and clearly took pride in their work. We will be visiting again. Thanks to Lindsey and all staff (didn’t get all names ) for a great night.

had a massive carvery, it was bloody lovely. our server naomi was amazing, she was so sweet and so very efficient it was wonderful. i highly recommend this place and if your lucky enough to get naomi, you better treat her good. (tip her big aswell).

We visited as a family of 4 yesterday evening, we called to make a reservation an hour before just to be sure we could eat here with our table being booked for 5.30pm. The Staff were extremely welcoming and the young girl who took our drinks order although she seemed like she was in training as she was a little unsure on what ciders and larger options were available she made a great amount of effort writing them down on her note pad to read them back to us and I'm sure in a few weeks time she'll have memorised them for future customers. Food was absolutely spot on, Steak and Ale pie for me, Green Curry for the Mrs (she did say it was a little spicy) and 2 kids options of Fish and Chips and Tomato Pasta. 4 completely clear plates which I think tells you exactly what we thought of the food. We'd definitely recommend the Victoria Inn to anyone in the Roche area of Cornwall.

Visited tonight (Thursday night). The pub wasn't overly busy at all but the food took ages to come out given how quiet it was. I also asked for my burger without mayonnaise but it came with mayonnaise, and I didn't have time to send it back as I had somewhere to be and it had taken so long to come out. The chicken didn't feel of the best quality so I ended up eating few of the waffle fries and a couple bites of the burger. A waste of £15.50. I would not recommend here and will not be returning. I often attend the one in threemilestone and it's in a complete different ball game - lovely choice of food, good quality, quick service. I'm local to Roche and would much rather drive to threemilestone every time than go here again. Very expensive for the poor quality.

This place is amazing! The food is first class (hot and tasty) of which I've tried almost every meal they do and the beer is always perfect (someone obviously takes the time to clean the pipes etc) and the staff are so attentive. Shyan and Sam deserve a special mention as they have provided us with exceptional service on every occasion. Keep up the good work.

We arrived at Travelodge next door to the Victoria Inn We decided to have Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. We decided to have the carvery as the price was so reasonable. Everywhere was clean and the carvery looked so good. Fantastic place great food and drinks also dog friendly. The ribs were amazing 🤩 and such a large portion. Would definitely recommend. Elle was lovely and service was great.

We stopped in for the Sunday carvery. The pub seems a nice vibe. Just a shame about the tasteless food. The staff seemed ok just not overly helpful. We wouldn't recommend.

My dining experience at the Victoria inn was truly exceptional. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere from Elle and Naomi made us feel right at home. I arranged a large table to eat here, nice staff, food was good, nothing to complain about really. It was nice but could have been better.

We srayed at the travelodge and came here for dinner. The food was of a high standard and home made. The price wax reasonable and the saff were really frendly and helpful.

A group of us are staying next door and we’ve had three meals here now over three evenings and each has been great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating too. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Great pub that serves food throughout the day which is a real benefit to us when travelling to and from Cornwall. Good menu choice, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. Sam served us and his customer service and friendly nature were a credit to the business.

Came in for Sunday Carvery today and we were served by a lovely young lady called Elle. Although the pub was really busy, our group was well looked after. Elle was so polite and helpful checking that we had everything we needed. The food was really hot and obviously freshly prepared, which you don’t always find on a carvery particularly when it is open all day. Will definitely be back.

My fella and I ended up in The Victoria Inn tonight by accident (we only live in Newquay) and it ended up being a really happy accident. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The service was great. The waitress, Abbey, accommodated my strange food requests without batting an eyelid, the manager Louise bought our food out really quickly, the portion sizes were good and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back and can't recommend this place enough. Thanks Abbey and Louise!

Stopped here for dinner whist staying next door. Food was amazing and great atmosphere. Bar staff managed to squeeze us in despite a lack of reservation. I had the special chicken forester which was fabulous and husband went for the red Thai curry. Would recommend :)

On holiday in Cornwall, drove past this place a couple of times, then went in for food. Lovely feel to it, very welcoming and comfortable. Food was delicious, scampi and chips and hunters chicken and chips. Piping hot and a great portion size. Elle served us and nothing was too much trouble. She was very polite and friendly, and efficient. We even had a rare dessert. The orange sorbet was fab. Xxx

This was my first visit today, and I was very impressed. The service was excellent and friendly and the food was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this place to everybody as in an easy and accessible location. Plus the conservatory where we sat today has a lovely atmosphere. Also, the food is very reasonably priced so that should make the experience even more enjoyable for everybody!

Lovely little place to sit and have a carvery with the family, good choice of booze and food available and friendly staff to go with it. Il be going back once I move to roche soon.

Came for the carvery but the highlight for me was the cheesecake. The carvery was absolutely lovely been a while since I had a good carvery. But for me the cheesecake was amazing, the creamiest one I've ever tried. Finding out the chef who made it is still in school just showed how much talent they have and will definitely go far.

Visited here late afternoon with our disabled Mum, the staff couldn't have been more helpful , the food was really good with plenty of choice, everyone was so kind , Mum couldn't finish her desert but was given takeaway box and Lindsey even put extra fresh cream in container as a little extra 😀...we shall definitely return!!😀👍

A group of us wanted to get together, but we live all over Cornwall. We used to go to the Victoria Inn for lunch when we all worked near by, so chose to meet there. What a lovely evening we had! 16 of us all had really good food, all served quickly and tasted good. The staff were patient and smiled. It was a great evening, with a great atmosphere. We will definitly choose to meet at the Victoria Inn again.

I went in the Victoria inn for an event drink and some food. There was a good choice on there and I plumped for the belly bites. It came with buttery mash and seasonal vegetables with a little jug of gravy. It was delicious. The service was great. Fast and efficient with friendly bar staff. The atmosphere was cosy and warm as my husband and I had come in from the rain after a long walk to get there.

First time visit to see the band Not Beatles and I really enjoyed it.

We were staying with family in the local area and we booked a family carvery here on the Sunday . One of our party has a wheelchair. Samuel the guy who came to take us to our table realised we could do with a bigger table in an area with more space and gave us a much better table instead . Super friendly and efficient young man. Absolutely fantastic. The service was fast and the food order also. We had the best carvery I've had in a very long time. Lovely chef serving. Friendly and helpful. Absolute value for money. And the standard plate is more than ample!!! We had desserts which were fantastic. Could not fault. So my husband and I visited again for lunch. Samuel served us again. He yet again was friendly and helpful. Spot on. Deserves a mention. The food was delicious.. nachos divine!!! Next time we are down again we will definitely be paying this restaurant a visit!!!! Highly recommend.

We attended a family birthday meal. The carvery was delicious and plenty of choice of veg. The first carvery I've seen with it posted by the counter saying that roast potatoes and gravy made with beef dripping, alternatives available. The staff went above and beyond to make it special.

First visit to the Victoria Inn after recently moving to the area and won't be the last. An excellent Carvery and pudding was consumed and my Son had a huge Pizza and the service from Brooke our waitress was spot on. They even have treats for the Dogs and their were plenty in the Bar area during our visit. We will be back for sure. Well done all

Pub visited as part of the Real Ale Rail Trail on the Par to Newquay line. Three real ales available Tribute, Proper Job and Gem when visiting as well as Rattler and usual range of drinks. Food served. Lovely pub with good welcome, service and lovely interior with stained glass panels above the bar. Recommend.

I was a guest panellist at a morning event run here and I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The space had been well prepared for us and the event went very smoothly. Better liaison with outside agencies might have prevented the mild disruption from the person strumming the verge directly outside the conservatory area we were using, but that's a learning point. It's easy to find, has great transport links, there is ample parking and the bar area is cosy.

Preferred it in 1989 to 1994. Not much of the old soul left and no draft Doombar when we popped in. 'Change is a constant' they say.

Been going to the Victoria for many years, even had deliveries when my wife was ill. Always found the service excellent and friendly. Which helps to generate an enjoyable atmosphere.

I don’t normally leave reviews, however, the staff and food deserve shouting about. Absolutely fantastic! I had the pork belly, gorgeous food. Staff so attentive, feels impersonal to refer to them as staff after how they make you feel. This establishment deserves all the business it gets and more 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
