I stayed at the travel lodge next door and enjoyed a great meal whilst I was away with work. I was on my own and seating me wasn't a problem. All staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the nachos to start and sirloin for main. Both were very good and the steak was cooked perfectly. If I was local I would definitely be returning! Highly recommended.

My wife wanted a carvery so I searched on Google for one with good reviews and ended up booking a table for 4 here. We each had a standard carvery and unfortunately it was awful, the turkey was dry, the gammon was super salty and the beef gristly, the stuffing was like a small paving stone, the cauliflower raw and the potatoes not cooked. The parsnips were edible and so was the Yorkshire pudding but for £59 we left disappointed. To top off a bad experience my daughters turkey had a large black hair in it which I believe was the guys hair who was serving the meat, the staff quickly replaced the full plate but by then my daughter felt sick and didn't want to put any of the food in her mouth. Our plates were taken full of food and no questions were asked, when I asked for the bill we were passed a card which asks for you to review them on Google, I did say to the young lady you probably don't want me too but she said they have to give them to all customers, so here is my review. If the owner reads this, my advice would be to acquire a new chef as these mistakes with the food only require very basic cooking skills.

We booked breakfast for Saturday and Sunday while in Cornwall for my son's wedding the food was lovely freshly prepared plenty of it and the staff were also 1st class nothing was too much trouble even opening the conservatory on friday evening so that we could all sit together for a drink would definitely go again if down that way

What a cracking find, we came to Cornwall for a holiday and were looking for places to eat. We had several places booked but we saw The Victoria Inn on the way back to our lodge and popped in. We never looked back, we canceled other bookings and came to this place for our entire stay. The food is outstanding, excellent quality and portion sizes are perfect. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, atmosphere was perfect is well.

We ordered a delivery online while on holiday nearby. It was a large order as there were 12 of us - the food arrived in time, each meal was delicious and it arrived lovely and hot.

Popped in for a quick lunch before an appointment. Really lovely atmosphere, great service and lovely staff. Food was amazing ! Especially the halluomi fries. Will definitely be coming again and take our time to enjoy what this lovely little pub has to offer.

Popped in for a drink and a quick bite to eat with my other half, was amazing quality food, waiter and waitress Sam and Brooke were so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Came in for a pint earlier today. Served by a man named Sam, who was very friendly. Overall good service and very nice pub.

Just popped in for a bite of lunch. Great service, young Sam was very polite and looked after us well. All the staff were very friendly. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was very welcoming and everything was nice and clean.

Very cosy, extremely friendly staff and yummy breakfast! Was waiting for my car to be serviced down the road, and they said I was welcome for as long as I wanted! Felt very welcome. Highly recommend!

You won’t find a friendlier nicer place, the food is outstanding and if you do not want to eat in the stylish cosy 3 areas, restaurant, bar area, or conservatory you can take away or have it delivered…the alcohol choice is great with many local beers on offer … The conservatory can be booked for parties meetings etc and we held a 70th birthday party with disco the buffet was everything we wanted and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the hotel next door was a real bonus … If you want to go somewhere that is friendly, clean, affordable top notch food, your guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face… This is definitely the place for you

Stayed here overnight in the car park in my camper van as a Britstop stay it was a very quiet evening level ground and on tarmac also had a meal and pint in the pub I had hunters chicken with chips and garlic bread which was very nice and a pint of thatchers cider staff were all very friendly with good service would happily use again

We went to the victoria inn for my daughters baby shower ,we had a buffet lovely food and nothing was too much trouble ,very helpful staff and lovely venue ,I can't recommend it highly enough

My husband, son and myself stayed in the area for a week and came here in our first night. We ended up coming back 3 times! Food was really good, huge portions and beautifully presented. The Sunday roast was very generous. Big pieces of beef and all the trimmings. Lovely, friendly staff, nice environment, highly recommend.

After entering the restaurant we were totally ignored and didn’t even see a member of staff so had to go and ask at the bar if we could be served. Food was average, not badly priced but also nothing special. The whole meal was completely spoilt by a barking dog in the bar whose owner seemed to think it was really funny that the dog barked at everybody that came in. Perhaps if the management had done something about it it would have helped but instead all the diners had to suffer listening to it just so that its owner could enjoy a pint! If that’s the sort of establishment they want then we won’t be returning. We are aware that it wasn’t the staff’s fault but if the management is going to allow dogs they should ensure they are well behaved and don’t spoil the whole experience for everybody else.

Could be the best bacon roll I have ever had, brioche bun packed full of really good quality properly cooked bacon. Great coffee too. Excellent customer service and comfortable surroundings.

Very welcoming pub, with kitchens open all day. Very pleased to find 'non alcohol ' Guinness available as we were driving. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the Staff were really helpful. Good position, just off the A30.

The staff are lovely and friendly, would of liked a few more gf options for an evening meal. Syrup sponge was very tasty.

Called here on Sunday afternoon and very busy into the evening. Food looked great and plates were coming back empty hence 5* but had already eaten before arriving there. Selection of Real Ales which were kept well Will be calling in next time I'm in the area

Whilst staying near Bodmin we visited the Victoria Inn in Roche for dinner. We had our dog with us and we’re welcomed to eat in the bar area. Staff were very friendly. Even kept coming over to say hi to our dog. The food was very nice - came quickly and piping hot. We managed main and pudding. Really good choices on the menu too. If we are back in the area we will try to visit again.

Lunch as part of training meeting. Pub was quiet so couldn't rate atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and attentive...helped with a dietary issue without problem. Food was excellent value.

Had a couple carvery’s delivered today! Food was piping hot and delish 😋 although the Yorkshire puddings were alittle hard and same with some of the beef but overall I can’t complain at all! They did forget my order of drinks but I rang up and within half an hour I had my drink’s delivered! Will be ordering again 😋

Excellent. I used to come here before the new A30 was built. It’s still a good as it ever was! Has a pint of draft proper job. Excellently kept. Food was home prepared and satisfying. If anything it’s quieter than it should be because of the bypass

Had a take away fish and chips and 3 drinks while we waited. It was very expensive - over £60 for 3 portions and 3 pints and the food was poor quality, small portions and no peas! A total rip off!!! Very disappointing to say the least. Go to the Rock Inn up the road!

Went here for a Sunday carvery while on a weekend break. Everything about the Inn was good. I would certainly return if I was in the area again. I would recommend it to others.

Arrived on my own hadn't booked and this young man very kindly found me a table. Carvery was very tasty so glad I went and I will be back. Thank you.

Unfortunately the lasagne we had was served in a metal dish and was obviously put under a grill and far too hard. Never had lasagne like that. The Brie starter was far too hard and the salad wasn’t displayed nicely just dropped on the plate.

It's a really good place to visitfor a pint or meal. Their Mac n'cheese is amazing

First visit here had the carvery was delicious and the ginger pudding and custard was lush.

Been coming the last 3 years. Always come here when on holiday. Food is really tasty. Service is really good and waitresses/ waiters really friendly and quick to serve, and the beer and rattler tastes fresh. Would really recommend it.

I usually don't give opinions but this time I have to say that the breakfast was very good there was a lot of it on the plate that's why I came back for dinner the service was fantastic the lady ordered a pancake for us even though it wasn't on the menu everything was tasty I highly recommend   Tłumaczenie na żywo

Called here to eat on a holiday to Cornwall and had to go back a second time as it was so good. You can take your dog her but only into the conservatory for meals. The staff were very nice and pleasant and they served the food quite promptly. There were seven of us, and everyone really enjoyed the food and desserts, especially the sticky toffee pudding, the apple crumble was the best we have ever tasted

Carvery. Great service food was not good. Gravy like water, meat fatty, roast potatoes didnt taste now. 3 adults all said the same.

We ate here as a family of 6 and we had an enjoyable meal. The staff were very welcoming, chatty and helpful throughout. I had the pork dijonaisse which was delicious. All meals were good sized potions including the children’s meal. Would recommend.

Phoned on the off chance that they were still serving a Sunday carvery at 3pm, yes till 8.30! We made our way to the Victoria big inside clean with loads of space we chose our seats and was greeted almost immediately, for drinks, ordered 2 large plates £13 & was invited up to join a small queue , 3 meats beef, turkey, gammon 2 slices of each then a vast choice of veg roasters, stuffing & yorkers safe to say we piled our plates high gravy & sauces on a separate table. All in all a delicious roast well worth the visit we will be going again. We'll done Victoria Inn.

Great food and very helpful staff.

Good food reasonably priced. Quiet during the after work period, which is when we go normally. They do delivery which I have never tried. The garden is basic bench seating with some road noise in peak traffic periods. We go a couple of times a week for a pint after work mostly. My mum likes the cavery!

The waitresses, Chloe and Charlie were excellent for my mum's 80th birthday carvery meals. Charlie's first day training and she did exceptionally well. They were very polite, helpful and made our meals special with the extras of taking photos for us. Can't fault anything. Thank you to the Victoria inn and Chloe and Charlie xx

Had light lunch there - their ceasar salad which was on the specials that day. Best I've ever had. Lovely fresh varied ingredients and plenty of it. Don't order a side dish with it, this was very filling. Lovely staff, excellent service. Very very clean facilities. Congratulations, Victoria, you are getting it right on all fronts.

The food is excellent and not too pricey
