One of the best fish and chips around. IMO better and cheaper than the more famous one in Padstow. Fresh fish in crispy batter and chips. Simple food cooked well. Try the exceptional home made tartare sauce and katsu curry sauce.

Best fish and chips I have had in many a long year. The fish was succulent and well cooked, it just flaked on the fork. The chips were crispy, and fluffy on the inside. The crispness lasted till the end. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and nothing was to much trouble. The only weakness was the atmosphere, this is a minor grip as the food was so good. I would recommend to any one and will be returning.

Get there early 4.30pm -6.00pm for the special large Haddock fish and Chips & mushypeas or curry and pot of tea for £11. A bright, modern with real seaside vibes restaurant with excellent quality piping hot freshly cooked food. Drinks if you want wine! Happy and friendly team all working alongside one another. A joy of a supper on a rainy day on holiday, makes you wish you were local more often.

Great friendly service. Despite being in the middle of the busy season and being a group of ten! The wait was very reasonable, and all the food was served all together. Excellent food. I tried the vegan southern fried cauliflower and it was super flavoursome. Portions are great and food was enjoyed by all! Highly recommended.

The best chips I have ever eaten. The southern fried cauliflower is amazing! Everything is Gluten Free and it's brilliant to see a vegan option in a chippy which isn't just Chips. I've enjoyed eating here many times in the past and will continue to enjoy eating here many times in the future 😋🍟🌱

Visited on holiday from Norfolk where we have a famous fish and chip restaurant…. Seasmiths knock them out of the park! Absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to visit again… keep up the great work!

The friendliest chip shop i have EVER been in… no gravy but will let them off for being down south. Beautiful fish and chips and fabulous service for 11 people. Will definitely be returning :)

Well worth the wait! A busy Saturday night service but they went out of their way to accommodate our large group and made us feel comfortable. The food was incredible. Best fish and chips I’ve eaten. Even our three year old finished his plate. We will definitely be back next time we are here.

Live locally so usually pre order a meal. Summer holidays so long wait despite order time the staff were clearly overwhelmed. Nice chips but cod bites ( I heard the lad say he was waiting for 2 more) they obviously didn’t appear. Small cod had a scrappy bit of fish and a second bit too not much more than a cod bite, I gave this to my husband who was already moaning as per the long wait for pre ordered food with a time slot. Not sure if I’ll return

Exceptional food, value for money & service. Saskia & Darious were both very attentive & compliments to the staff cooking the food. If you are in Wadebridge & looking for a good meal for the family then I would highly recommend. Currently running a Friday special of fish & chips with a glass of presecco or bottle of beer for under £15.

Was great when it opened a couple of years ago, but we just had a very poor dinner. Haddock was rubbery, batter very poor and chips nothing special. A shame

We visit Seasmiths Fish + Chips each year we visit Cornwall. Food is always outstanding and the service is friendly and efficient. This year was no exception, perfectly fresh MSC certified Cod with a lovely light crispy batter, excellent chips peas and tartare sauce. Thank you all, and see you next Friday before we leave.

We really enjoyed the food and the Friday deal with free mushy peas and beers was a bonus. The fish and chips were tasty and as crispy as they get. The service was super friendly and considerate (they offered to turn down the volume so we could have a window seat under the speaker). Full bellies and two very happy customers. Highly recommended👍

I came here for the first time with family. We booked a table for 9 of us. When we got here we pretty much offered straight away. We did wait a while for our food but they came over and asked us if we wanted any complementary drinks. When the food arrived it was perfect. Overall we had a great experience

On our last night in Cornwall before heading home we went to find fish and chips and decided to go to Wadebridge, even tho it was a few miles away, because of the disappointing reviews of the Padstow chippies. Seasmiths was so busy we almost didn’t order but when we did the young man serving said it was a 25min wait. While we waited we were able to observe the staff preparing and serving and I can honestly say I’ve rarely seen a group of young people work so hard!! They were a perfect team, working with speed and efficiency and good humour! I really hope their boss is proud of them. We waited exactly the time we expected to and our food was served with a smile and an apology for the wait. Well done to the whole Team!

Not going to be popular but chips lovely but fish tasted like it was from iceland or lidl not good at all left all of it

Really yummy fish and chips with great curry sauce and all for a reasonable price, so would definitely recommend. Nice to see a veggie option on the menu with the southern fried cauliflower and it was good, but I don’t think they’ve made it much before because the 4 balls were humongous which meant some bits were raw inside which was a shame, as it was really nice when I got a bit that was cooked. Cutting it into smaller florets would mean it’s all edible and it would look nicer on the plate too!

Lovely atmosphere, tables set apart at a nice comfortable distance. Delicious food and extra benefit of GF scampi too - yum!

Disappointing. Have been wanting to try Seamiths for a while but always been put off by the price compared to our usual chippy. We had fish and chips and cod bites and chips, well the dog had the cod bites! Portions were a good size, cod was ok, a little bland and doughy in places, the chips were very crispy and small, only a few being over an inch long. The cod bites were awful, cold, thin, rubbery with no crispy batter at all, almost inedible. Even the dog needed some convincing to try them. What a disappointment, won't be returning for some time.

Absolutely love the chips and katsu curry sauce here. Probably the best chips I’ve ever had. Certainly the best in Cornwall. Also love the stylish decor and cleanliness in the restaurant. The service is pretty good, just the lady at the tills seemed a bit distracted and therefore not very welcoming. We visit Wadebridge regularly and will be returning soon. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some high quality fast food. (Would love to see a couple more vegan options on the menu in the future 😉)

After a week of very average fish and chip offerings in Cornwall, finally we had the meal we’ve been waiting for. We wanted to say that your product is absolutely superb - from very fresh fish in the crispiest batter I’ve tried, chips both moist and crunchy (a rare delight in Cornwall we think) and a very tasty pea/curry offering. The batter also remained super crisp throughout my meal even after being drenched in vinegar. Your front of house was rushed off her feet due to the influx of early diners, but she coped well, remained in control, and didn’t panic under the load. Keep up your great standards and we will be back in future, for sure.

Tasty early evening fish and chips. The pieces of haddock were fairly small, but then we don't have large appetites. Chips were very good, and Katsu curry sauce was delicious, perfect for dipping. Service friendly and efficient. Because we were early, we had a window seat, enjoyed watching the world go by.

We have both dined in and had a takeaway from Seasmiths and both experiences were excellent. The service was warm and friendly, prompt and helpful. The food was cooked perfectly with the fattest chips ever! This is easily the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to, and I am not exaggerating. Wadebridge, you are so lucky to have this in your town.i wish my local was this good.

Was initially going to eat at a Fish and Chip restaurant in Bodmin but noted a can of pop was £2.90!!....so as we were going to Wadebridge decided to try SeaSmiths.Used to go there before when it was Barny's and it was good then. On arrival the welcome was friendly,the venue was clean and bright.We ordered both Haddock and Cod to compare...both were excellent with very thin/crunchy batter...almost like Tempura batter.Many good chip shop's fish is spoilt by the fact it is only cooked to order and then wrapped immediately. ..no time on the shelf so it steams itself in the paper and ends up soggy...nothing worse. So the fish was great and the chips even better, firm but fluffy inside.Mushy peas in a ramekin (so as not to soggy the F&C)..condiments are complimentary.Not sure what tomato ketchup it was but nice all the same. The only criticism, a wider range of diet drinks would be welcomed (e.g. diet coke is nasty....Zero is great). Toilets were spotless, waiter returned to see if everything was ok, receipt offered, relevant allergy questions asked.All boxes ticked and all at a reasonable price. Thankyou for a lovely meal ...we will return.

It was Bank Holiday Monday and, thankfully, these guys were still open. Nice interior, although we were having take out. The fish and chips were lovely and cooked to perfection, it was the perfect way to round off the weekend. Parking wise (if not stopping in the town), we found a residential road, around a five minute walk away.

Had excellent fish and chips 1 night and lovely southern fried chicken the next day.

visited today (20/04/2024). Ordered chicken goujons, battered sausage, cod and a plain chicken burger and curry sauce. curry sauce was missing, cod was so thin an crispy and barely edible, chicken burger had salad and mayo in so wasn't eaten as daughter has an allergy to Mayonnaise, battered sausage was very over cooked. chips were good. goujons were what seemed like chunks of thigh meat, which for some would be fine. very disappointed as quite pricey aswell. tried to call to see if anything could be done, but no answer. would of gone back, but we had travelled away from the area.

I visited Seasmiths on Easter Sunday whilst on holiday in Cornwall. I bought dinner for the family to eat in our hotel room and my first thoughts were what an inviting, modern and clean restaurant! The service was efficient, friendly and so welcoming. The food tasted great and definitely filled my chippy cravings. Fully recommend! Thank you 😊

Great portion size, fish cooked to perfection and their chips are somehow just as good at the end as they were at the start. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. I’ve got no idea why there’s negative reviews here. Bought fish and chips last night for my family whilst on a holiday from Poole and let me tell you it was incredible. Normally when I see fish and chips served in a box I’m put off however I was proved wrong. Don’t let these negative reviews put you off. Highly recommended.

Fish beautifully golden and crispy, chips fresh and a very generous portion! Haven’t tasted fish and chips like it. Friendly, welcoming and funny team. Will be back without a doubt!

Fish was very dry and quite tasteless. Chips were tiny and tasted frozen and re heated. Chicken goujons were very burned, dry and tough. Staff were friendly but defiantly wouldn't recommend.

The place looks the part on the outside very clean Inside too. It's a strange atmosphere in there. Radio was blaring and the two staff members didn't seem to speak to each other. Anyway grabbed some fish and chips. Gosh they were yellow and very crispy they were ok ish but the fish smelt and tasted a bit off. At £11.50 half of it went in the bin. Not a place I would recommend or return to. When you're hungry you see a fish and chip shop and your mouth waters. Not here I'm afraid. A real shame as the shop looks great!!
