The Victoria now has an integrated Indian restaurant, The Clay Oven, as well as doing their traditional Sunday carvery. We ate in the Indian on Saturday with all the family amazing food and great service. The drinks are served from the pub by Neil and Carol so you have all the choice of real ales etc. You can then retire into the pub for later drink. The Indian also does takeaway should you fancy a night in

We had a celebration for a 90th Birthday at the Victoria Inn, Wetwang. Neil and Carol did us proud, from putting up our decorations to serving us (27 people) with the most amazing carvery. Thank you so much for you hospitality. Dave and Anita Hannam

Just had a family celebration with all the family (10 people). Everyone commented on how good the carvery was. Couldn't fault it. All staff were all very friendly High recommend. Will certainly be back.

Excellent Sunday Carvery, plenty of choice and value for money. Would recommend the homemade cheesecake! Will definitely return.

Had seen the venue when passing through Wetwang in the past. Just been to Filey and called in at the Lobster Pot on the way home and pub empty but could not fit us in!! Tried the Victoria on the off chance and they were very obliging. Lots to choose on the menu and settling on one was hard. However all four of our meals were excellent and value for money. Could have gone for a reasonably priced sweet but we were all full up. Everybody was very welcoming and service good. Will certainly be going back there again in the near future.

The meals are from a Wednesday night to Saturday. Which are absolutely awesome. With excellent staff who can't do enough for you. Then Comes the Sunday carvery, I can't recommend this enough, very very advisable to book your table. And also a very good selection of wines and beer's.

We called in for Sunday Carvery late afternoon. Very accomodating and friendly, fitted us in without booking. The food was delicious, all presented lovely on plates, (and not in warming tins), and there was plenty of it. Would definitely recommend Sunday Lunch, you won't be disappointed. We'll definitely be going again. 😁

A regular haunt for us (me and my Dad) for a lovely Sunday lunch. Great food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very attentive staff and the owners are friendly and welcoming. Now offering a cavery for Sunday lunch and this works really nicely. Super value and quality. Highly recommend.

The best pub we have been into in years! The staff are super friendly and attentive. Really accommodating to our large party over 3 days, could not have asked for more. There is a wide variety of drinks both soft and alcoholic, including non alcoholic beers. Prices are fantastic!! Ate both evening food and Sunday dinner, both amazing and quality and value for money. Had a fabulous meal - a rack of ribs each, with a bottle of red wine. Friendly atmosphere and good service. Highly recommended!

We went to this pub as we were staying in the local area and we’re not disappointed! It was full of locals, who were all very welcoming and enjoyed meeting our border collie, Meg! The food was excellent and very good value! I also enjoyed a brilliant real ale, which was crystal clear and fresh. If we were in the area longer, we’d definitely come again! Brilliant evening!

We stopped in the Victoria on the way back from a day at the races. Greeted by by the staff with a warm and friendly smile. Food was fantastic quality and value. The food is cooked freshly and tastes fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough. Don’t go there thinking you are going to get fast food. IT IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.

Thank you The Victoria Inn for making a very sad day bearable. We visited yesterday for a very dear friend's wake and were treated so kindly and professionally by all the staff. The food was fresh and plentiful, service quick and staff so obliging. It can't have been easy but you would have never known. Beat those Covid blues - a take away Sunday lunch from the Victoria. Ready spot on time fresh and crispy home made veg, roasts, Yorkshire puds and plenty of tender roast beef and gravy. Served piping hot! They do takeaways midweek as well.

Decided to eat out this xmas with the family, arrived at the Victoria Free drink straight away (my round then shsss) ,we ordered our meals (set menu more or less) but that didn't matter as we are all traditional meal lovers, it was a beauty and if you wanted extra I think there was plenty to go around.The staff were friendly and added to the atmosphere a great day out.Now back home no washing up and a sofa with my name on it and not even an argument all day.

Lovely staff- incredibly accommodating for our group!!! Can’t fault them. Fab food and large home cooked portions. Staff also helpful with information on surrounding area and taxi details.

Although not a huge choice of food on the menu the food was very delicious and not too pricey. I had the mushroom stroganoff and the sauce was super yummy! My partner had the sweet and sour chicken which was also very tasty and his portion was huge! Staff are very friendly and service was very quick.

No Aires or graces this is a nice traditional country pub serving proper food nicely cooked.The restaurant is clean and spacious. The toilets are clean, the tiles are definitely the original - 1970's classics If you want over the top posh this isn't for you, but if you want lovely food in a friendly clean pub then this is the place to go.Very impressed.

The Victoria offers a very varied menu at reasonable prices. The specials board often has some very tasty items. All food is prepared in the kitchen. No mass produced rubbish here. The bar is friendly with a good selection of beers and gins.

Went in about 9pm on Saturday night, quite busy with locals, stòd at the bar and had a couple of pints. Locals were very chatty and friendly.I will be back again another time I hope, providing I get invited back for a nerd date !

We stopped here for the first time on our way home last week, for something to eat. We were met with a very friendly welcome. Food is pretty standard type of ‘pub grub’, with a varied selection and a specials board. Food was served hot and well presented. Reasonably priced.

Been here quite a few times with work colleagues. Great atmosphere, wonderful food and service and cannot daily the prices at all. Great value for money and well worth it

We were staying on a campsite not far away from this pub which does not look the prettiest from the outside but was the first one we came across. Inside we were welcomed by the lovely polite landlord, who took our order and sat us down, he immediately made you feel welcome. My partner had a special that we had been told about and I had my old favourite mushroom stroganoff , both were lovely and plentiful. This is certainly a country pub that we will return to.

Ate here for 2 nights whilst staying in our caravan nearby. 8 of us the first night , 13 the next. Great food, home cooked, tasty generous portions. Lovely friendly staff.

Mi amigo y yo tuvimos una cena maravillosa en este pub, tuve torta de carne, Yum Yum y mi amigo tenía pierna de cordero también yum yum. Por alguna razón que tuvimos que tener fichas con la cena, pero ya cuando nos dieron la cena tuvimos también duros potates no eran necesarios. Sin embargo, eran las patatas fritas caseras y muy buena, nos hicieron los cerdos de nosotros mismos y no podía comer un flan. recomendaríamos este pub tranquilo con zona separada de comedor, el personal era muy agradable.

Meal for 7 for my son's birthday. Food was excellent, staff were very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, even provided colouring book and crayons for my 2 year old granddaughter. Would definitely recommend the steak cooked to perfection.

Very homely feel and meal was average but with the reasonable prices and open fire it was a nice treat after a walk on the wolds.

Had a lovely meal at the Victoria I just couldn't fault it in anyway. I had Chicken in a creamy leak and Stilton sauce served with home made chips and fresh veg. My husband had the Wetwang Whopper ( a very large Haddock) which he enjoyed very much. Will defiantly be back there again very soon.

What a disappointing Sunday lunch. When walking in I was hit by a stale fusty smell. The whole place looked tired and dismal. When the waiter came across to take our order I asked if the Yorkshire puddings were homemade, he replied I'm afraid not they just don't have the time to make them. I mean there's nothing easier than doing a few batches and warming them through, makes all the difference to a cheap version of aunt Bessie's! I knew from that moment it wasn't going to be great.... Yep I was right, when our meal arrived not only was the yorkie frozen but the roast potatoes too! Cheap runny apple sauce and the rest was not good. First and last visit I'm afraid. The only positive thing I would say is the waiter was very polite.

Our first visit here was for an evening meal following recommendation from friends. It’s in the main street in Wetwang and there is a car park at the rear apparently.When ordering we were told that at least one dish would take about 35 minutes so we avoided that as we were hungry. However we had to wait at least 45 minutes for what we did order which we found unacceptable. When it arrived though, the food was good – yes the chips were great and portion sizes were quite sufficient. The Victoria is a very local pub and did make us wonder if we were actually welcomed by the regulars although the chap on the bar was very friendly as was the lady chef. Food and drink was very reasonably pricedThere was a nice log fire to warm the bar on a chilly evening but we were bothered by a number of what seemed like fruit flies who took a liking to us!I’m not sure if we’ll go back.

We arrived at 6.00 p.m. and there was plenty of parking outside the door. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied and had veggi options. Everything was freshly cooked and very tasty. We had starters and mains and had no room for puddings. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the chips great.During our meal a folk band arrived but we didn't wait to hear it. We will definitely be paying another visit.

Friendly pub, good home cooked food, helpful staff and nice restuarant. Two of us had the lasagne which was lovely, one had the loin of pork which was enormous and the other member of the party had the curry and rice which he said was delicious. We all had puddings and the bill was very resonable.

Good choice of food from the restaurant menu, bar menu, specials board, early bird menu, children's menu as well as great value 1, 2 or 3 course Sunday lunch's. Well presented flavoursome home cooked food and excellent value for money. Friendly welcoming staff. Parties catered for. I frequent this restaurant regularly and have always had a lovely meal. My personal favourites are lasagne or the roast pork loin off the specials board and the home cooked chunky chips are just the best.

This is the best of the 2 pubs that Wetwang has to offer. Good selection of drinks at excellent (by comparison to London) prices. Very friendly licencee, staff and locals but sit on the square bar stool at your peril!We rented a cottage for a week and ended up here every day - brilliant pub.

Excellent pub food at this East Yorkshire village local. Good helping, good cooking and proper home made chips (which is rare these days!). Good menu with daily specials and early bird prices before 19:00
