Kitchen in East Riding of Yorkshire

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.

Had some vouchers given to my husband not heard of the kitchen before but I must say it was fantastic food we had tapas 3 for £15 and there was plenty enough there was so much to choose from we will definitely go again and will look at the menu before we go there was a vast choice to choose from we even bought some lovely buns & cakes to come home with from the fresh Cake counter.... yummy 😋

Fantastic food and friendly service. Our Wedneslydale and hame quiche was the fluffiest and tastiest we've ever had, the salad was delicious and very varied.The afternoon teas were enormous and look very appealing and the cakes were varied (we has key lime and battenburg) and again as good as you'll ever get. This is not your standard transport cafe, so don't be misled, but it is not expensive at all for what you get. The standard of the food is simply outstanding. Definately worth a stop if travelling that way - Howden is a ancient and quirky town in what is normally flat industrial farmland.

Visited this morning. Easy to find, good on street parking outside seemingly readily available. Wide selection of savoury and sweet pastries and cakes. Bespoke sandwiches made freshly to your order. The sandwiches are full to bursting, chock a block with fresh ingredients. The 3 assistants interacted with were attentive, helpful and eager to please. When I left the shop I dropped my coffee and spilled some. One of the assistants noticed and came after me to offer a replacement. I refused as it was totally my fault and I had not lost a lot. As I got to my car opposite she dashed over with a new cup of coffee. What a wonderful example of exceptional customer service, so thoughtful. Thank you to the staff on duty today!

Delicious pies, sausage rolls, quiches etc. Cakes are ample portions (enough for 2!) Take away service only. Good value for money and very friendly service. A must visit if you are in the area.

Decent average food but expensive, called last Wednesday morning got a bacon and tomato on brown bap with a cup of tea Over five quid which i thought was really dear, when she charged me price I was so looking forward thinking this is going to be something special and something big It was neither, I’m not pulling food down just price A lot of places you can get a full breakfast for a fiver and eat in

We absolutely love both the Kitchen in Howden and in Snaith and have never had a bad experience at either tearoom. Due to the current pandemic, Snaith are only offering a takeaway service but we have visited today and their cakes and sandwiches are still INCREDIBLE - I've never seen cakes as big that taste so great (always fresh and beautiful) and the sandwiches are as good as they look (so much filling in freshly baked bread). A definite must visit and a great lunchtime treat.

Super choice of foods to select from, the quality is excellent and can't be faulted the ladies who served our food where very helpfull and served us with food par excelance

What can I say. 5 stars is not enough. Excellent service, very friendly staff and the food to die for. If you don't mind a small wait. I had the Ploughman's platter with home made pickle, chutney and bread. Cheeses, Ham, Beef and Pork pie by the load all served to a exceptionally standard. Well done Kitchen. Will be back for the afternoon tea and bun stack.

Absolutely fabulous and well worth queuing. The staff are really friendly and the food is excellent. We shared a picnic table, a great selection of things on offer, but the menu is extensive and all plates coming out looked fantastic, you won’t go away hungry or disappointed and the time waiting gives you a chance to see what delights are on offer at the deli counter to take home (if you’ve got room left!!)

Great Place with a huge selection of sandwiches and deserts - this was our first time here after it was recommended to us.Really friendly staff - there is also a really extensive selection of deli items to take - loved the Oreo Brownies. Thank you !

Best afternoon tea ever! Someone purchased us tickets as an engagement present and we were very impressed. It was a shame about the long queue to get in but it was totally worth it

Great food, and worth queuing for. The choice of food is excellent and delicious. The only quibble I have is that the last few times we’ve visited, we’ve queues quite happily. It’s worth the wait, however when we’ve been taken to our table, it’s obvious there were tables available while we’d queued. This has also happened when we leave - there are people queuing to the door, yet 2 or 3 tables empty, not including ours. As a patron, this is very annoying.

The place seems as busy as ever. Called in for a cake to takeaway. As usual it was a really lovely cake and a very large slice. There wasn’t much choice this time though. At the Howden one there does seem to be a much better selection.

Visited on numerous occasions EVERY time Lomb wait Whitt’s waiting to be seated Take out and phone orders taking priority. Tables available but not allocated. Some staff talking and not doing anything. Looks as if one member allocated the cafe and others stand and watch instead of working as a team. The food is excellent, when you eventually get it. Visited today. Walked out for the 4th occasion. Very disappointed.

Decided to go to Kitchen for lunch, been many times and the food is always great. Queued for an hour, sat at the table for another half an hour without being asked if we wanted a drink. Staff didn’t explain they were busy or there was a delay, nothing! We left and ate elsewhere. Very poor service from staff. There were empty tables that hadn’t been cleared. Not sure if they were short staffed but at no point was anyone told about a delay! Very hungry husband won’t be going back.

Was taken here by a friend who had read reviews about it. This is now my new special place loved it food wonderful staff lovely. Bit of a wait for table but worth it going again soon I hope

The food and staff are great. We had Wensleydale and ham quiche salad. But on a busy Friday, we waited an hour to get a table (admittedly at the peak time of midday to 1pm).

The best place in East Yorkshire for lunch! We love it here and recently celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday here by having lunch. The roasted sandwiches and salads that came were incredible and we also had a brilliant service from the great staff! The value for money is incredible and it is definitely well worth a visit here.

So many lovely things to buy. The sausage rolls are the best. I get requests from work to go to the kitchen shop on route to buy treats even if this makes me late.

Never known portion sizes like it! The most incredible food ever! We had a ploughman’s and a deli board and I can’t stop raving about them both!

My husband and I came here on a recommendation. The breakfast choices were unique, generous and delicious. We were so full when we finished but still managed to pick up some fabulous cakes from downstairs to enjoy later in the day. Do not miss out.

A friendly and cosy little place to visit. The staff very friendly, polite and hard working. We had afternoon tea for 4. It was a busy Saturday and we had to wait a few minutes for a table to become available, but it was well worth the wait. The sandwiches were delicious and served on a variety of different breads with generous filling s.The Scones and cakes were out of this world and home made and utterly delicious. Definitely the best afternoon tea We’ve had and at a very pocket friendly cost. The staff really look after you. This place really is a hidden treasure.

I can't believe I have never reviewed The Kitchen in Snaith before now! I'm sorry. The place is one of my favourites!

The kitchen is a lovely place to go eat it’s such a treat to go there they have cakes to die for and their burgers are delicious defiantly recommend it.

I’m a cyclist who using the Kitchen as a cafe stop all the time. Brilliant place with amazing food, I didn’t think you can fault the food quality or portion sizes at all. It gets super busy (which is starting to be its only criticism I would say but a reflection of how nice it is)

Kitchen is the loveliest treat, but working around the corner from it you really have to treat it as just that or else I'd be huge!

Just popped in for an early coffee. Everything is nicely set up and ready and it’s nice and quiet. They do the best coffee in the area. Nice coffee, magazine to read and nice and quiet. What more could you want?

Great cheese and bacon in toast with side salad and latte , friendly staff nothing too much trouble, definitely recommend

Went for my daughters birthday lunch. Was shown to a table by a friendly waitress who assisted with moving chairs around to fit highchair for my granddaughter. Gave us menus and told us of the specials. Took our drinks order and gave us time to look at the menu. Ordered food and arrived well presented tasted beautiful. Having my granddaughter cane with fair share of mess she flung pizza all over the floor which we started to pick up and apologised. Waitress said leave that I’ll do it she’s only a baby it’s fine. Great food great service. Highly recommend

A lovely place with friendly staff and a delicious menu. However what should be a pleasant experience is spoilt somewhat by the incessant noise and vibrations from a fan in the kitchen downstairs. I hastily ate up and left.

I visited today and was overwhelmed by the choice of breads, cakes and savories.

Another fantastic lunch.wonderfuly prepared. I had the Christmas burger which was great. We all enjoyed our meal. The service is excellent. You need to go early because it gets very busy. Back again soon.

This is the 2nd time in 2 months myself and my fiancee have been to the Kitchen and both times have been amazing. The first time I had a peri perk chicken flatbread which was amazing and the other half had a salmon and prawn sandwich which was huge. The 2nd time we both had a burger and it was just as amazing.....for 2 both times with drinks less than £30 and both were excellent with amazing service from the friendly and amazing staff. Without doubt this is the place to go. Just be prepared for a 5-10 minute wait on busy times for a seat but it's worth the wait.

What an absolute delight! From the moment you walk in you are assailed by freshly baked aromas. To get to your table you are forced to walk past the most amazing display of goodies, even more appealing during the festive season, with all manner of gourmet sausage rolls, pies, cakes and cookies - to name a few. Brunch was high end, tasty and filling (I had the Yorkshire breakfast). I felt like a kid in a toy shop faced with all the sweet stuff. Not cheap, but reasonable for such good-sized portions.

Couldn't give enough stars, the food here is incredible, definitely try the eggy bread with cheese and bacon it is fantastic.

Came here mid morning for a quick coffee and a business catch up with a colleague simply because Howden was a halfway house for him travelling South and me travelling North.

If you don’t queue you miss out on excellent quality food with the added bonus of enough (the portions are huge) for a second helping later at home. The staff are obliging and helpful always with a smile. My only niggle, (albeit a tiny one in the great scheme of things) hence the rating, is the acoustics. Particularly if you have a noisy child who is not controlled by his accompanying adults. My husband has a hearing aid so he either has to take it out and he can’t hear me or we sit downstairs if it’s available. Non of this would deter me from returning though.

When people warn you about long queues for food you have a feeling it's going to be exceptional - and it is!! We never fail to be impressed by the food, the menu range, the friendly and efficient staff. Our waistlines only allow us a visit every few months - otherwise we'd be here every week!

Oh my word....thatsxwhy they que out of the door. Not just any kitchen cafe, simply the best I've been in.

I had heard excellent things about The Kitchen so was looking forward to sampling some of their delicacies. I was not disappointed! I had the “Blue” burger which came with chips, salad and coleslaw! It was excellent quality and the portion was huge - I could not finish it all. I would really recommend this hidden gem! If only you had more tables...!

We queued over 45 minutes at this popular place but it was well worth the wait. The food was epic and the service was great!

Ordered a burger and Wedges as it was the only thing I liked on the menu ,it came and the wedges had clumps of salt on and the burger was rock hard. Told the staff and they just rolled their eyes and took it away. Since entering the restaurant all staff was rude and gave dirty looks, also sitting on my chair I moved it into the table and the radiator cover started to wobble with around 15 glass bottles on and 25 champagne flutes when I had a closer look I saw that it wasn’t attached and who’s fault would that of been when they all smashed on the floor? Exactly my fault ,definitely won’t be visiting again and I don’t recommend anybody else to.

Nice food and cakes however it took 45 minutes to queue, order at the takeaway bar and the staff to make the sandwich. I'd recommend a visit only if you have plenty of time to spare.

Visited with ladies from my family, including 4-year-old niece and haf a couple of their sharing picnic platters. They werr awesome! Everything was super tasty, and there was such much and so many bits to try, so really suited everyone! We were stuffed too and managed to take bits of cake home too.

The breakfast here is wonderful. Lunch is also delicious. The baked goods on sale are sensational. Staff are lovely. Wonderful.

The Kitchen has a 'no bookings' policy and so sometimes you have to wait for a table... believe me, the food is well worth the wait! Lovely presentation, fab flavours and good portion sizes (come hungry), all at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Heard rave reviews of this place so made a visit to this place. Arrived and there was a queue either for a table or takeaway. More staff needed on the takeaway counter to get the queue down as only two serving is not adequate. We decided to queue for a table and waited 30 mins so be prepared for this as you can’t book a table. Once seated the staff were very efficient and the food was worth waiting for. On leaving decided we’d take a cake or two with us and the queue was still their for takeaway with still only two serving! The cake was really good and well priced. Overall if you are prepared to wait for a table then in my opinion it’s worth the wait.

I don’t know quite how they do it, but Kitchen has everything and does it amazingly well. They offer a broad menu from a kids picnic which arrives on a small picnic table, tasty burgers, salads and ridiculously sized cakes which are delicious.

I'd never heard of Kitchen but arranged to meet a friend here for lunch. I drove the 20+ miles along the motorway and was not a bit disappointed. The cosy, friendly surroundings were a bit different, staff were attentive and quick but the menu.......

Usually there's a bit of a wait to be seated due to the popularity but it is worth it, food is fresh and of good quality, plenty of variety to choose from on the menu too, drinks menu is also full of choice. Staff are always friendly and attentive, would highly recommend.

Cafe and the deli all the food looks delicious and tastes it too! Prices are reasonable, would say some of the deli items are quite high. Staff are friendly and service once seated is good.

After visiting Castle Hill Hospital my daughter suggested eating at The Kitchen. Having checked opening times on web site prior how disappointed were we to turn up at 3.30 to find the sign saying CLOSED. Please make sure the information is correct on your web site to avoid people being disappointed

Great food , everything was superbly presented and tasted delicious, music a little to loud , friendly attentative staff. Down side is the initial wait for a table , the que was very long which to a degree is a good indication it’s a great place to eat. But there is a large area within the front entrance which was left empty this area could quite easily accommodate the take out / deli area or more tables , it was strange that they would rather have potential customers walk away as they were not prepared to wait than make more table space

The Kitchen is unbelievably good, a real taste of Yorkshire. What’s not to like. Great decor, wonderful staff and a menu full of treasures and delights. Supurb quality food presented extremely well. We will return whenever we are in the area.

My husband researched this place for a lunch stop on our way to an overnight stay in East Yorkshire. Howden is a lovely town in itself and well worth a visit. We arrived early about 12.30 and it was already very busy but there were a few tables free so we were shown straight up (the restaurant is on mezzanine level overlooking the shop). Excellent menu and specials, so much to choose from. My husband had one of the platters and I had the quiche which came with salad and lots of little extras, bread sticks etc. All very nice and great atmosphere. On leaving there was a massive queue right out nearly to the street so glad it was our first stop. My husband stopped off on the way out to select a cake for later. Highly recommended.

Lovely inviting little gem of a place.Staff were welcoming and friendly, so many delicious Foods to choose from, all fresh ingredients and well presented. Looking forward to my next visit.

After waiting to try the tapas night at the kitchen for ages, finally last Friday me and some of my friends managed to get a table booked a few weeks ago for that day, some of them which had already been before so that’s where the recommendation came from and I’ve heard many good things about it from other people so I was really looking forward to it. Our table was booked for 8.15 and all 6 of us arrived just before our booked time, it was 8.45 by the time we got seated then we waited another 15 minutes before someone came and asked for our drinks order, so not a good start. I understand that these nights are extremely popular and very busy but if someone had came and asked us if we would of like a drink whilst we were stood up waiting 30 minutes for a table to come free then we wouldn’t of minded as we could see that it was busy. The Gentlemen that was working did realise that we were waiting longer than we should of and did come over and apologise which we did appreciate. After ordering a couple of dishes from the menu a lady came over which I presume was either the manager or the lady who was in charge of the night and said that the guy who apologised to us mentioned about offering you a free drink and started to be very rude saying that we haven’t waited any longer than anyone else and how she had explained to everyone who had booked that they had a problem with the first sitting but none of this got explained to us, we also apparently jumped the queue so because of that that’s why we waited longer than should of, but if someone told us that we was stood in the wrong place then we would of moved to where we should of been waiting. The couple of the dishes that we did order was very tasty and did get presented nicely so nothing wrong with the food at all. After the lady was very rude we felt extremely uncomfortable to even sit there any longer so we asked for the bill for what we had and left. It was such a disappointment as I do love going to the kitchen with friends and family for lunch as the food is always lovely and presented nice. A couple of the girls that was part of our booking was even more disappointed as they have been a couple of times before to the tapas nights and have never had an experience like we did on Friday and have always enjoyed themselves with not too much of a wait.

After we queued for about 30mins we were shown to a little quaint table. On first inspection of the menu it was very appetising but slightly complicated. We chose the all day breakfast which was delicious and rather a large portion size. The atmosphere was rather noisy due to it being a rather small room and very hot , however this did not off set the cheery atmosphere.

Been to The Kitchen several times now and it never disappoints. Visited this week and as usual was superb. I had a cold sandwich and my friend had a toasted sandwich. Both were very tasty with plenty of filling and salad and crisps on the side. It is always very clean and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating. We noticed on our most recent visit that they seem to be offering a wider option of specials lately which is nice and we'll be back to try more. The deli and bakery are always full with delicious looking cakes and pastries. I always have to take at least one cake away, the vanilla slice is a particular favourite of mine. Love this place and will be returning very soon.

We expected for a long wait as its so popular, but after only 5 minutes we were shown to our table. We chose the Picnic Table x 2 for our party of 6. We were not disappointed, They were packed with sandwiches, pastries, and all sorts of savouries on the top and full of cakes on the benches. there was so much, they even gave us boxes to take home what we did not manage, which were dived on by the unlucky ones we left at home. This was a girlie day out...no men allowed lol.

I visited for the first time today, stood in a queue for 45 minutes (which I didn't mind as it was busy), however when I sat down half of the tables were empty! Feel really disappointed that everyone was expected to stand waiting, especially the elderly when at least half of their tables upstairs were sat empty. They don't accept reservations so tables were not already booked. There was no apology or explanation for this either.

The Kitchen in Howden is a wonderful place to eat. As soon as you walk through the door you are treated to the delicious aroma of coffee, and wafting from the food prep area is the tantalising aromas of delicious food. The menu has many treats for the discerning gastronome you can choose from eggs benedict to home made soup and sandwiches. Food is served beautifully and it is a delight to just sit and look at your plate it is a feast for the eyes. The staff are very welcoming and you really don't feel rushed at all. Whatever you order you will be truly satisfied. Once you have finished your meal and make.your way downstairs I dare you to leave without buying a huge slice of cake. I can't do it and I have really tried. I can recommend the chorizo sausage rolls and the epic carrot cake. A trip to the kitchen will definitely awake your taste buds and you will return for more.

Went with my daughter and grandson near lunchtime. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was a long queue. We waited for ten minutes, then decided to leave as my grandson was hungry. So we bought some food from the shop and ate it at home. It was nice but not quite the same as lunch out.

The Kitchen is without doubt my favourite place to eat, it’s good value for money and the food is delicious! We visited today and had fantastic friendly service from all staff especially Amy, nothing is too much trouble! Definitely recommend the beef sandwich & the Florentines, looking forward to our next visit already, keep up the good work

Visited with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and was assured it would be worth the queue... It definitely was! The menu was amazing and it was really hard to choose something but I ended up with the ploughman's board. Everything on it was delicious and the portions are really generous. Couldn't help but buy some of the cakes to take home too despite being stuffed.

Went here with friends for lunch and a chat. A lot bigger than it looks Food very well presented and I had to take some home with me. Staff very friendly and I would highly recommend this place. I am just sorry I did not take photo of food will be going again

Went here with my sister, we had travelled from just outside Leeds to visit a family member nearby, found this lovely place online and wasn’t disappointed, didn’t have to wait long for a table, the staff were lovely and as for the food WOW, would definitely go again and would highly recommend

I simply cannot fault this place. I have been for breakfast a few times and also lunch. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely. I also buy my eggs from here and they have all been double yokes up to now and delicious!

Having had several excellent lunches here we looked forward to Tapas night for which you have to book . The staff were very helpful explaining how it worked , it would seem you order several dishes and they are delivered at random as they are ready. Everything was very well cooked and tasty and nicely presented but we were very disappointed with the choice of food on offer. The name Tapas to me conjures up pictures of continental dishes like mini "patatas bravas", morsels of "fritata", little helpings of seafood and lots of garlic flavourings etc etc etc unfortunately nothing of that manner was on offer and we felt it was just a rehash of the daytime menu . Everything as I said was very well cooked and we did enjoy it but I would not return on Tapas night although we will be back for daytime snacks and occasional lunches.

We always visit here for lunch as it is our favourite place to eat! So many options and foods to choose from! So many different/unusual variety of sandwich fillings and loads of different types of bread also i.e seeded, cheesy topped bread, feta&sun; dried tomato filled bread- so delicious! We opted for the afternoon tea today(picture of meal attached) which was very reasonable priced at £18.95 with so much lovely sandwhiches,cakes and savouries! Such a filling and enjoyable lunch! The staff are also so accommodating with anything you want changing! We love it here, would 100% recommend! Huge portions and very filling! ☺️

We come the Kitchen every Monday every 6 weeks or so, my advise would be get there early as you cant book, we get there for about 11,30/45 and get a table. Service is always great here and food is amazing, the salads are my recommendation and try and save some room for a dessert if you cant you can always buy one to take away.

Quite the most impressive cakes and an irresistible collection of foodie treats at this stylish bakery. Be prepared for a queue, however, for this opinion is shared by many. Well worth seeking out and visiting the tea room if you can.

Never knew about this place until a friend recommended & I ended up taking my mum for mother’s day. From start to finish it was a lovely experience! After reading how popular it was I was expecting a wait time for a table but was seated straight away!

Great coffee, amazing food, and some of the friendliest staff make this place the nicest place to come. If you don’t have time to queue for a table upstairs (and seriously, it’s worth the wait) they have a great selection of sandwiches, deli and cakes that you can takeaway. I would challenge anyone not to like this one!

Food is always so tasty and presented pretty. The staff are always friendly, especially Amy. The only downside is that there’s always a big queue, although it’s always worth the wait i think they should start letting people book in advance because when i come with my nana she cant stand and wait for that long so have to go elsewhere. Ate here for the first time a few weeks ago after being highly recommended by some friends. Ordered a hot beef sandwich with horseradish mayo and proceeded to have severe food poisoning that lasted a week. Will not be returning.

Really, just chanced by for a cuppa, having driven in the wintry, snowy conditions for quite some time.. Whilst parking the car, we asked where the nearest café was. A reply from a passer by "try the Kitchen, you'll not be disappointed". How right she was!

This is a great cafe with amazing cakes there is no doubt and I have visited on several occasions. Being short of time on this occasion I ordered takeaway sandwiches, a customer was served before me, money was taken and change given, I placed my order and the female member of staff started to make my two sandwiches - but didn't wash her hands, despite having handled money. I was very disappointed about this. I would have emailed the cafe direct, however, I couldn't find an email address on the contact link. If an establishment has a high food standards hygiene rating then hand washing is a basic requirement or two members of staff are needed one to take money, the other to make\touch food being served to take out. I will return as the choices are great but I will definitely mention hand-washing if I don't see it next time I order sandwiches.

Stopped for lunch last Saturday with some friends. We arrived at about 12.45 and there was a queue but it went fairly quickly. In any case it gave us a chance to look at all the lovely offerings at the takeaway counter! All 4 of us had flatbreads and they were absolutely delicious. The service was really good and we would definitely return. The afternoon tea looked amazing, so maybe next time!

We went for a late lunch at 2pm on Monday. We had about a 30 minute wait for a table but it was well worth it. Lovely big portions of delicious food. We also bought some cakes to takeaway (the snickers chocolate tart is the best dessert I've ever had). We had the cakes in the evening for dinner as we were still stuffed from lunch. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Would definitely recommend!

Visited for lunch while looking at a property. Real buzzy vibe, fantastic food, my chicken Caesar was fresh and fantastic. Next table had an amazing array set out on mini picnic tables. Too full so had a cakeaway cheesecake and carrot cake. Friendly efficient service in trendy surroundings.

We stumbled on this gem on one of our country walks in Howden and my goodness were we in for a delight! The gorgeous, country interior greets you followed by the scrumptious cakes displayed in all their glory (we tend to get these takeaway as we are usually too full at the end). If you are an early bird then I would definitely reccomend breakfast (our usuals; the goats cheese flat bread with all its condiments or vegetarian full english with the scone of the day). The service is impeccable even with the endless queues reaching the doorway. I've lost count on how many visits we have made and can't believe I've not left a review! Highly recommend this well kept gem of a place. Our top choice for breakfast/brunch in Yorkshire.

Hidden little gem, everything was lovely. The queue speaks for itself. Had the fodder board all lovely big portions. Brought cakes home too. So much to choose from.

Lovely place to eat, very welcoming, friendly atmosphere and staff and excellent customer service we experienced here on my first ever visit. Would highly recommend people to go here though you may have to wait to be seated, but then excellence does come with patience.

The kinda place you’d love to keep a secret, but by the size of the queue this place isn’t a secret at all. No wonder people are prepared to wait. A good half hour on a wet miserable Saturday lunchtime. But so so worth the wait. Salmon salad for her. Ploughman’s for him. Beautifully presented and served with a smile. Tasted as good as it looked. And did someone mention the portions. Each dish big enough for two. Spot on. Be back soon.
