Most amazing customer service I have ever had. Owner is respectful, kind and meticulous to his service. Always knows his customers orders. Would recommend to anyone. :)

Staff is very polite and the food is absolutely amazing. Tried a variation of different items on the menu and they all tasted amazing. The food was also served quickly. Overall an amazing chippy.

Chips seemed about a day old (hard and dry!) no napkins or folks to use. Guy didn't give one! Won't be returning!

Ordered burger & chips & drink. Delivery was just chips! Never got the burger after calling.

20 minute wait, put salt on my food without asking me if I wanted salt or vinegar, about 3 pieces of meat in donner wrap and put mayo on it which WAS NOT asked for,tiny bit of lettuce and 3 strands of onion. Cheesy chips portion for a child and squashed in a tiny box. Charged me 53p for a half full pot of sauce and then when I asked for a receipt didn’t put it on. Will not be returning. Man is also weird and stares at you

Waited hours for a delivery. Never arrived. I gave up in the end. I was looking forward to those fish and chips!! Some nice cod and chips and chocolate donuts I thought. Ended up having beans on toast, after I had paid over £21 quid for fish and chips and the donuts for nothing. They don't deliver. Will never use again!! It isn't good for business you know when you treat customers like that. First impressions count. That has been my first, and last experience!

My first visit today, I had the paneer kabab and it was excellent, lots of filling and flavour. Service was friendly and the place was clean.

Use to be a good Chippy, I have been a customer for a long time and now I have to say that Vicky Chippy spoiled both the quality and services. I had fish & chips yesterday and it was absolutely disgusting

We had a large cod for takeaway. The fish was still hot, crispy, and firm when we got home. Good value for money. I think the place is run by a couple, not sure, but there were a man and a woman working behind the counter. The man could use a bit of smile though.

Brilliant staff! Humongous portions! Proper chippy! Tried the Masala fish with naan on one occasion and fish pakodas on another. Fish pakodas were a revelation. I didn’t know fried fish could taste so good!! The food in the photo was worth only £11. They also have a massive mixed grill which double the average portion size for £16.

Ordered a chicken tikka kebab. The naan was amazing and very tasty - I hate thick fluffy naans and this was lovely and crispy. The chicken was nice too as was the chilli sauce and mint sauce. The portion size was big even for a large. The disappointing thing was the lack of salad in that in was literally non existent - a sprinkle of lettuce and red onions. Would have been nice to get more salad and variety such as tomatoes and cucumber. Ordered another kebab - paneer tikka - have tried all the kebab places around this area and must say this one is head and shoulders above the rest - you just have to order extra salad. The naan is excellent, the sauces are excellent and the quality of paneer is superb. Could this be the best kebab place in Leicester I wonder - I think so as Picnic has gone downhill for the last few years. Good food. Very poor service. The food was good. Big portions and nice fish and chips and curry sauce. Expensive though at £10.99 each. However, the service was appalling. I arrived just after 6 and ordered 2 large fish and chips and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I ordered at 18:12. After 25 mins, I asked how long it would be and was told 5 more mins. I then witnessed him put the battered fish in the fryer. When I asked why the fish had not gone in earlier, he said they were very busy. The 2 members of staff were clearly overwhelmed with their online orders and neglected the in-person customers. All in all, it took 46 mins from order to serving (see image), and would have taken longer if I hadn't prompted him. A word of advice: if you are a fish and chip shop, have fish and chips at the ready! Also, treat your in-person customers well because they see exactly what it going on.

Visited for first time couple of weeks ago as fancied fish and chips. Busy place which is always a good sign. Portion was very generous although we'd ordered small. Very tasty, will be going again.

Used to be a great place under the previous ownership a few years ago. Sadly gone downhill.

I'm a big guy, so naturally I eat a lot of food. Vicky's Chippy is superb in providing the big portion sizes and unforgettable quality food. Very warm and friendly place to visit. This has to be the best chippy I've ever eaten in. It's affordable. Awesome customer service, and the waiting time is shorter than all the others I've been to. Fresh naan made in tandoor. Biggest naan in Leicester I believe. Must try the mix grill, with chips salad and naan.

Nice chunky chips and food is value for money. In this neck of the woods we are lucky to have 3 good chip shops (grimsby and fish shack) but this is the less known one and has no ques so i travel bit further but worth it.

Ordered fish ‘n’ chips and Mix Grill which was really delicious. The mix grill had a good portion which is more than enough for 4 people. The sauces were really good for the mix grill and we got the fish ‘ n’ chips with salt ‘n’ vinegar and it was fantastic. The service and quality was excellent and surely recommended, its must try.

Me and my friends had the mixed grill and was absolutely fantastic. The food was so tasty with the mixture of meat salad and sauces. The quantity it had for the price with all the different meats and salad made 4 of us full and still had leftovers. The service was really good, very fast. I recommend everyone to try the mixed grill from here.

I had the most amazing pizza yesterday from Vicky's chippy. I had their spicy paneer pizza and tikka blast pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and I enjoyed it a lot. Keep going guyz.

They've just had a refurb and it looks worse than it did before, filthy place, also microwaving doner meat is unacceptable, unfortunately I have to give a star to register a review, otherwise they wouldn't get anything

Food always cooked fresh but the wait if you just want chips can be a long time. Some English food needs to be cooked longer as it looks undercooked

I got a large fish and chips and curry sauce. Everything was cooked fresh the fish was beautiful and loads of chips . The guy behind the counter was friendly and chatty.

Growing up this place was fantastic but I think they have new owners who you can tell put no love into the food and just want the money. I asked the man how much a cheese burger meal and he was like ‘check the board for the price with attitude’ nevertheless I placed the order, my burger was soggy, no taste in the burger(cheap) then I asked for garlic mayo and BBQ sauce which they floooded my chips and burger with absolute joke! Never again.

I had the paneer kebab and my husband had the chicken shish kebab and they were both top tier. The portions are very generous (we ordered the small and are both stuffed!). The sauces and salad are fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly too - super chuffed we found this place.

Ordered food at 8.20pm, finally turned up 2 hours later. Sf chicken is burnt yet cold. Saving grace was the chips and tikka wrap.

food was late but the restaurant did inform me it was going to be late and then delivered within that time frame. The delivery driver was really nice and friendly. The food was hot and tasted really nice i would come back and order again.

Didnt quite enjoy the pizza. My siblings didnt enjoy the burgers as it had runny sauce that ruined the whole both meals.

I had the large mixed donner and chicken mixed kebab on a nan bread. It was beautiful, the chicken was tasty and melt in your mouth, the donner was really tasty and not greesy. And it was huge, it fed 3 adults. Will definitely be having another 😊

My order was late the food was greasy mushy peas a very strange colour chips had mouldy bits on definitely not cooked from fresh the name throws you into thinking its traditional fish and chips

Ordered from here for delivery an hour layer got a message saying not enough delivery drivers. Fair enough if you've not got the staff but waiting an hour to be declined is ridiculous will not be ordering again.

Very nice food. Full of flavour and portions are generous. Was recommended this place from a friend who kept telling me to try the large mix kebab and surprisingly it was really tasty. The portion was massive, fit enough to feed 4 people!! Also got the masala chips and again it was full of flavour and spice. Reasonably priced compared to other chippys. Looks like I’ve found my local chippy (which isn’t local to me but worth the drive)

Ahhhhh such a shame! In the past this was a sure fire great place to get food, but it seems with new owners it's just not up to scratch anymore. The past five times we've got food from here, chips were under cooked, pukka pies same and mixed kebab in naan definitely not as fresh as it used to be and with the refurb has left it worse off than it was! Please do better, and I'll happily change my review.

It's ok. I've had some nice chips and I've had some dry chips. The food portions are big and the curry's are nice but the quality of the donner meat is not the best.

The BEST chippy in the Midlands. Chips are always perfect and the kebabs are insane - we travel one hour round trip for this place. Super value for money and super tasty homemade kebabs!

Great restaurant with delicious chicken tikka which are enough for even 2 people and they make mouth watering pukka pies, just amazing. Misses the star because of not opening some days and not doing deliveries, but he said that he used to do deliveries and wasn’t making any profit, so it’s better with delivery. Although, great takeaway restaurant for delicious food. Great restaurant.
