Mays chicken in Leicester

had food from here before, always delicious but our order never arrived which is a shame

Food was very high quality for the price.

Asked for chicken fillet burger with hash brown and got chicken strips with a hash brown.... Also ordered peace of chicken and chips and wow just wow never again quantity and quality well under par!!

today I went there to get spicy wings and spicy chips, I specially told this person at the till to add in some spices on my chips, because we are regular customer we thought that he done everything what I asked, But no when I come home to check my fries there was no spices and no salt, The guy didn’t even offer me for any tissues, Very bad customer service, I paid extra for masala chips and wasted my money.

I take issue with the lack of appropriate halal certification. Why does the owner of this establishment not source HMC certified products especially since they also own Yaal Foods where they sell HMC meat? Respectfully, since the owner isn't Muslim, he will not be knowledgeable about this subject and he would do much better business if he stocked HMC approved products _ he only needs to see how common HMC certification is in Leicester. Sure it costs slightly more, but that will be an investment because he will definitely get more business, especially since there is a mosque around the corner. I'll edit my rating if this is done.

As food goes there are no shortage of choices these days. Last night we fancied chicken and were looking at the KFC menu. But it's very expensive these days. So we did what we should always do and tried a local eatery. And boy l am glad we did. I ordered the £23.99 chicken and burger combo and we were not disappointed. The food was very good. And we have some cold chicken to eat later on today. We will certainly be ordering again in the future. I just hope we haven't caught it on a good night because I'm looking forward to using Mays again. The £23.99 was more than enough for three. Very generous.

I can't say anything bad about the food! The chicken is one of my top favourites in Leicester but the sad thing is I don't visit this store! The workers are unfriendly and slow ! They take forever to serve you ! So if your in a rush or have children with you that are hungry forget about this place! Secondly when you finally get your food, is so dry the chips ,they don't add salt or sauce for you, they don't treat their regular customers even with respect! When you ask for sauce is like you have to almost fight for it and then they just give you 1 with a dirty eye🙄 and hand gestures 🫳🫴☝️ it makes you feel like your crying or begging is so embarrassing! If they change their attitude and customers service! I honestly believe this could get an award for best takeaway in Leicester! Because the food with salty fries and sauces is the best ! Try for yourself! But be prepared for rude ,untrained disrespectful manner service and slow !

it was there on time and was still warm other fastfood places are far so by the time it gets here its luke warm and the fries are coldish. However, the drinks were warm as they usually are cold but its understandble because of the weather but maybe you guys can find a solution on keeping food warm for the winter and drinks cold for the summer.

Fantastic, we really enjoyed our meal. Delivered on time, food was all hot and delicious. Even had an extra chicken wing and drink(hope they weren't someone else's order?) It's nice you get some sauce sachets too. Only thing to be aware of was the BBQ wings seemed to be spicy wings covered in BBQ sauce,we liked them but if you was ordering and didn't like spicy food then you might not. Would definitely order again and recommend 👌
