For me Veyso’s is best Turkish restaurant I have been to. I simply could not fault it. Experience it. You’ll love the food and service.

I went here whilst visiting My daughter on Wed 2nd Oct, we both really enjoyed the meal. It’s a beautiful restaurant and was very spacious. The food was really good quality and beautifully cooked and the staff were so lovely. We had Her daughter My 10 month old granddaughter with us and they were super friendly and sweet with her. There is lots of choice on the menu, I particularly liked that there were combination choices on the menu of all the wonderfully flavoured tender meats. I definitely recommend a visit. There is a cocktail bar close by and even a Weatherspoons. So the Collier Row destination is a decent one. They also have a very good lunch time deal on, but we wanted to eat just a bit later and have full menu choices.

Worst customer and food service with 12% service charge. They forced us to buy water and drinks. This is the worst turkish food we ever had in life. The guy is so worst in customer service.

Food was very tasty and plentiful. Staff were friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was calm and inviting.

Nice food, good portion size, nice decor and friendly service. I had the falafel which was made at the restaurant rather than bought in as is the case in many places and beautifully presented. Was given gorgeous baklava after the meal which was a lovely treat. Will go again.

Ww initially to my collier opposite the manager was rude and couldn’t be bothered to even accommodate cooking sone chips so we came over here to be greeted by the manager who was so so nice went over the top to be amazing and helpful to us , the food was amazing and this was without him having any idea we had been elsewhere before so this is just the basic service offered here which is fabolous

Basic like kebab is great, but the starter is so-so. Service is below average for price paid. Atmosphere is good, furniture and decors.

Specially vyoses 3 staffs I don't know their name.but young boy young girl and tall lady we love their service. Always smiling Always they know our choices very hard working very efficient. .this 3 staffs runs the business properly and bring more cust omers. They deserve best from boses..but we had bad experience from manager .he shouldn't be managing .when he doesn't know regular customers choice and how to treat all customers. He has attitude problems. He should not be in vyoses as manager otherwise they will loose business.

Had a family meal out in April. Never been here before but found the food very tasty. I had 2 dishes beginning with a mushroom dish then lamb. All very good although there were large gaps between the meals so the staff weren't as attentive as I hoped. But food excellent.

Good service but the food lets it down. I found the kebab to be far too tough and the rice lacked seasoning. If the the food can be improved this place has great potential.

The food is amazing, portions are very filling and for a reasonable price. Service is lovely, all waiters are very pleasant and kind, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to

We eat at this restaurant very regularly, we love it, there’s never been a time where the food and service hasn’t been spot on. I took my mum for Mother’s Day lunch and she also loved it, it was so nice. Been there since to celebrate a family birthday, also on a Sunday and again fantastic service. Doesn’t matter what time or day you go it’s consistently good. When you’re there you also forget you’re in collier row / Romford which adds to the appeal ! :-D

Excellent food and service. Nice to have such a great restaurant locally. Edit. What a difference time makes. My first visit was brilliant, My second and third visits show a restaurant that's forgotten where it came from. The only thing that saves this place is the quality of food. It was just a shame that service for the food was non-existent. Cold meze came up, took three attempts in 45 minutes to get the bread. Fast forward another 45 minutes, still no main meals. Nothing extraordinary, sharer platter, and 2 shish kebabs. It took so long to get our food, in the end was, past being hungry and took it home. When we complained, the person I took to be the mananger said he had been watching our table and was aware of the delay. If that was the case, why did we have to point out we hadn't had our food for over an hour and a half?! Why did he not act sooner? Why did we have to complain?! Now I get when a restaurant is busy, service can be delayed but it wasn't that busy, other tables came and went whilst we sat chatting, the drink was flowing well, still had to keep asking for drinks though, and then to top it we where given the bill before we'd even asked for it, almost as though they wanted us out! And when we did get the bill, the compensation for our wasted time, a round of free drinks. Whilst I appreciate the gesture, I now have a takeaway box full of food that was bought and paid for, and that's probably not going to get eaten. Was it worth £260 for 4 people? No, it wasn't. Others have had a brilliant time here, but my last three visits have been poor and overpriced. Do I give it another chance, I really don't know.

Called up at 8 for take was told they close at 830 said it's only 8 and he's reply was Yh we closed. Rude staff won't be going back now. Rude staff

Total shambles, lack of staff & terrible customer service from floor manager He couldn’t care less that we had been waiting nearly an hour for starters, drinks, basically everything, just said it’s busy. We’ve been going to this restaurant for years, probably since it first opened we’ve had family, meals, family, gatherings, birthday parties, etc etc and never have we experienced anything like we did on Sunday I’m not sure if there’s been a change of management but whatever it is we will never go back there again and it’s a shame because the food was always excellent, the service was always excellent, the staff were always excellent, but not anymore.

Went there with the family, and everyone enjoyed the mill.

We visited on a busy day so booked a table but it took them 20 minutes to just get a table cleaned and get customers sat down. There were people waiting for tables by the entrance without any guidance. Finally sat down, restaurant looked clean. Food arrived in reasonable time. The quality of the food was impressive, definitely one of the best in the area. The service was very slow, if u ask the waiter for something they will take forever to get it or go missing. So the only thing that let me down was the service, I understand it’s busy but then it’s maybe a good idea to get some more staff in on busy days. Other than that food was very good and overall a 7/10

The service is zero, I have never been disgraced with this much money in my life.

Chicken tasted old, hard and dry. Lamb was old, gamy and smelt funny. You could tell they didn't take care of the meat very well or it was low quality meat. I feel like it was probably quite old by the taste and feeling of the meat.

We have visited here many times over the years, but think our recent visit will be our last. The food is really good, and the restaurant is decorated nicely, but this place is badly let down by the staff who are relatively efficient, but very unfriendly. I always feel uncomfortable, as they wander around glaring at diners, anxiously clicking their pens. Never a smile, but often sniggering among themselves. They make you feel unwelcome, and almost like they can't wait to get rid of you. To add to this, on our recent visit, a waitress had a hacking cough, and was coughing repeatedly into her hands, or into the air. It was so off-putting, that we could not wait to get out of there.

A lovely gem I found on Google to take someone special for their birthday and it was a lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious and their service was top notch. The ambience is really comforting with the dimmed lights which enhances the special experience. Thank you to the staff for making the birthday meal one to remember.

When here for a family meal for a birthday. The food was lovely but the service wasnt great was left waiting to order a bit and when we did order thing it was either forgot or took quite a long time. It was very busy and this may have been why shame because all the food was lovely.

kapat onu!! meaning close it down in Turkish ! Very poor. Took ages to be served, menus not on table upon arrival. Long waiting times between starter, mains and dessert. food bang average and over priced. Not happy with my friends portions of octopus. One strand for starter and one for main, please can you explain ? My friend went home hungry and cold. I love a crème brûlée. Imagine it came cold. My friends sticky toffee pudding tasted like coffee which isn’t right. And above all else . They tried to rob us of our money. Charging £40 extra! luckily we added it up. When going to the front to discuss they were talking English then when confronted with the bill they started talking another language in front of me which was really rude! Also my friend did not receive his asparagus. So he went home hungry cold and robbed of Vitamins A,C and K!

It took 10 minutes to be handed menus, 20 minutes to get given drinks and starters came out at 50 minutes. One of our party found a bit of rubber/silicon in with the complimentary bread. Mains took even longer to come. Creme Brulee was cold. Sticky Toffee Pudding had no toffee in whatsoever. It felt like they'd run out of toffee sauce and used an espresso shot. It was a dry sponge with a cream/coffee sauce. It wasn't as advertised. Very disappointed. Aside from other minor quibbles like having to pay for chips as they refused to swap the rice out. We noted that the Octopus starter included one solitary 'tentacle', which portion-wise was a bit unfair, and the following main had only one more than the starter. Essentially two McDonalds chicken-selects of Octopus in length with chips and it didnt even include the asparagus as it advertises on the men. Here's where it gets really frustrating; We expressed our distaste at the general service, the waiter told us to ignore the service charge and just give him a roundabout amount. (We had already agreed between our party not to pay the discretionary and definitely not mandatory service charge anyway) - except the roundabout amount meant we were going to give him more money than what it said on the receipt anyway. You can very easily say at this point it was a genuine mistake of arithmetic and nothing devious. So after a few minutes we realised what had happened and brought the waiter back to re-examine his offer, he noted the discrepancy and went away to fix the problem. In order to understand at this point what happened, we're going to have to deal with some numbers. Initial Bill=290 Service-Charge=40 Initial Offer=300. (You can see how we nearly ended up paying more initially) The waiter came back with an amended receipt, stating that he had removed all of the desserts that we were unhappy with. When we got the receipt back it was considerably shorter in length where the desserts had been removed from the list and the new price was issued. £288. At roughly 6£ dessert each between 6 people its easy to see there should have been a deduction of 36£, not £2. After a few minutes we figured out that there had been a manual removal of the desserts on the receipt and then another manual adjustment on price. At this point it's really starting to look a little suspicious. Having wanting to leave at this point, we'd gone over to the bar to discuss this with the staff about what has happened and how it can be explained. I asked if we can get the menu out and add it all up together here and now but they started acting evasive, they tried to take the receipt to conceal what they'd tried to do and then started talking amongst themselves in another language. They claimed that it was somehow a system error that had failed them and then the actual bill was 250.Overall that entire interaction very uneasy and made me feel like they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes on numerous occasions.

Absolutely amazing food and service

Lovely greeting when we arrived at restaurant. Nice selection of drinks and also lovely choice of dishes. Went straight to main which is ideal as dishes are filling.

The customer service is horrible at veysos. We have been many times and most of the times the staff were not friendly. We went at lunch time and the staff waited around our table to clean it, which felt awkward. Another time, I was struggling to get in the double doors as I had a pushchair and one of the workers was laughing instead of helping! There is one nice elder Turkish lady, so hats of to her.

I had my bday lunch there. Staff are super friendly, took care of our needs. Food was great. Timely service. Beautiful cozy setting. Great for date night even. Would go back definitely

I booked a table for 4 people using the restaurants online reservation system. All was well and I received instant email confirmation. On the day of the booking, we drove down from Chelmsford and found the place to be closed! There was absolutely no mention of it being closed on their website, Google or their social media. Ate elsewhere and won't bother returning. Who knows if it will even be open!

Food was okay. Severely understaffed so had to wait ages for food to arrive We went for my friends birthday and brought a cake….which we asked to do and was told it was fine. They were ao understaffed, we told them to forget the cake and we will just take it and go. At that point a waiter came out to sing happy birthday. Did it and left so fast after, it was both rude and comical. Don’t think we will be going there again

Decided to take a turn for turkish cuisine today. Best turkish cuisine I ever had so far. Ordered the chef specials for two’s and four’s, massive portions even though there were 6 adults (total). If you can’t finish your meal you can get a takeaway, so you can have that for lunch the next day. Overall, service was top notch and atmosphere is fantastic though some customers were hurrendously loud opposite us, but overall it was granduer experience. Tops to our waiter for taking down our drinks as soon as we arrived 🙌

Nice Vibes. A nice restaurant with a good vibe. Great for couples and small groups. The service was good and the waiter was very helpful and nice. We ordered calamari, dynamite prawns, humus kavurma(?), Veyso's special. The humus kavurma and calamari was really nice. The dynamite prawns was ok but still had a lot of shells left on the prawn. The Veyso's special was disappointing and I would not order again. Overall the restaurant was a nice and recommend going at least once.

I don't know why my review has been removed. I was very pleased with our meal until I got told I couldn't have a dessert. The only reason I chose the restaurant was to have sütlaç as it's my favourite dessert and only us Turks know how to make rice pudding properly. So, due to being told a complete lie about only having an hour and a half to eat despite many mistakes the waitress made making us loose at least 20mibs of that time. I ended up leaving very disappointed and won't return in a hurry. On the positive side the food was absolutely beautiful

First time I've had a delivery from veyso, the food as usual was second to none, good quality, good portions, good price. Delivery arrived within the 30 minutes delivery time and by a lovely veysos staff member. Only downside was food was on the colder side of hot, it is a cold night and would have only taken a minute or two to warm if you desired however I didn't mind it cooler. There is enough left over for lunch tomorrow so win win for me. Thank you veyso's

This was our first time trying the restaurant. It's beautiful inside and the food is perfect! But when I went to make our dessert order. I got told we'd ran over time. None of us was given a time and I made the booking. There was no mention of a limited time to eat. They had several tables empty throughout the time we were there and if we had such a limited amount of time why did she waste some of it by putting half of our group on the wrong table. I originally two hours prior to arrival got a phone call to confirm the amount of people, if I had a buggy and if I needed a highchair. I confirmed everything like I had on the booking. No changes. Yet the high chair wasn't at our first table or the second. That wasted a good 5-10mins then we got served another 5-10mins later just drinks then once drinks arrived the order for our starter and mains was taken. I have never been told that I couldn't order a dessert before and we are all deaf so if she had given us the time she didn't speak loudly enough for all 3 adults to not have heard her. I won't be choosing this restaurant on a special occasion again. Hopefully next time I will actually get my dessert

Came in as a group of 8. The food was bland and lamb shish was over salted. The service was very unfriendly, not one smile at all. We were also overcharged, and upon fixing it ourselves, the server became very hostile. We also had takeaway boxes and was told to carry them by hand because he “didn't have bags”. They were hanging very evidently from the kitchen… When we asked another member of staff for bags she kindly went to get it, but he stopped her? After complaining again, for carrier bags that were clearly there, we managed to get one. Very, very rude. I can only hope it was nothing to do with race. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Unwelcoming atmosphere with underwhelming food.

Welcoming restaurant and staff members. For a Monday night was still busy. Managed to park in a nearby road. Mixed Shish and a Chicken Salad. Hearty portions. Nicely cooked. Extensive Menu. Worth another visit.

Been here several times, amazing food, the staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Very good value for money. Highly recommend to anyone, suits couples, parties and families with children. Parking right outside, free after 5pm.

I must admit Veyso is probably in the top 3 Turkish restaurants I have ever been ! It's 10 out of 10 on everything including the personal! Roxi was so kind and helpful as well as food was coming quick and fresh. Recommended it any day of the week/year ! Let me just finish with this I need to drive for 1.30min from Reading Berkshire to Romford to have a lunch so now you know how good is this place! Nick

I have been there twice. The first time was amazing. 4 of us had a started each, a main each, one alcohol and 3 soft drinks. The lady who served us was attendive. Big portions as well. We couldn't finished all the food. It's not cheap tho. I think I paid around £130. Will go back again for special occasions only.

Veysos back to its best. Friends booked our table and we were given a lovely big table in the window. Food, absolutely spot on. Lamb, cooked to perfection, chicken was moist and the ribs perfect. (Maybe offer a finger bowl for the person eating ribs) portion sizes were perfect, fresh crispy salad and rice cooked to perfection. The only reason I am not rating it 5 stars, is because when asking for more dips, I don't like being told by the waitress to finish our yoghurt dip 1st, especially when we are paying £1.50 for the extra dips!!

Had lamb chops tonight, cooked to perfection. Melted in the mouth!!! Taste and texture absolutely amazing, will be telling all my friends and family about our amazing visit tonight!! Staff fabulous and friendly. Thank you

Great place great food, went with the family and got the mixed plater with cold mez. Loved every mouthful. Would highly recommend this place.

It was a bad experience from the start. Mangers funny humour ruined our night. I felt it was out of context and not something you would say to customers.

Wow what an amazing restaurant and we can not wait to come back again. Visited for my husbands birthday with our son. The moment we entered the restaurant the staff was very welcoming and attentive and extremely friendly. We had the family platter with meze and it did not disappoint. All the different meats on the platter when it came to eating them they was soft like butter cooked to absolute perfection. Meze was delicious and the cocktails was perfect. Thank you for your staff for a great evening.

Been here couple of times before and was quite impressed, so after about a year decided to comeback, and sadly it changed to a really cold, not welcoming atmosphere and food wasn’t great: meat was rubbery and chewy, amount of salads and souses decreased, actually we got two tiny bowls of two different souses for 4 people to share (one was too spicy for us, so basically one tiny cup to share) . Lots of rubbery meats and very little amount (compare to previous visits) of vegetables. We not coming back and will let our friends know about the changes in the service.

Best Turkish in Essex! Been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. The bread is the best I’ve ever had; so deliciously seasoned and their homemade chilli sauce is incredible! Highly recommend ordering the hummus kuvurma. Mains are very large, would recommend sharing 1 between 2 people, or if you order your own and can’t finish it, ask for a takeaway box. My go-to main is the sarma chicken beyti; absolutely delicious! I forgot to take a picture because I was too excited to eat it, but I’ll be sure to get a picture next time I go and update this review.

Dined in with my family this evening and had three very average mains, one starter and a few soft drinks. To be charged £100 is quite ridiculous. The sooner people start boycotting this place, the better.

First time coming too veyso's for 8 people. staff were excellent friendly polite and excellent service.And the food was excellent portions are good as well ..we will be back

Good lunchtime deal £9.95 for 2 courses or £13.95 for 3. I have never managed 3. Food very good but wine quite expensive.

Bugün take away karışık kebap, tavuk şiş ve ciğer siparişi verdim. Lamb eti muhtemelen lamb leg'ten yapılmıştı ve lezzetsizdi. Adana'nın içi pişmemişti, kebabın yanında verilen pilav için kalitesiz rice kullanılmıştı. Ciğerin yanında sadece iki çatallık soğan salatası vardı. İşletmeye başarılarının devamını dilerim.
