Veyso's in Havering

Went for a business meal. The client paid and then went as we were still finishing drinks. It seemed the staff undercharged by £110.00 and we were made to pay. Not good business and we felt awkward as we recommend place. Awful experience and will never recommend again. They never even offered us a chance to contact client in the week to pay!! Embarrassing

On a recent visit to Romford to see family, we celebrated my 60th birthday in Veyso's. As we have young children in the family group we chose a Sunday lunchtime. The food, service, atmosphere and general vibe were all excellent. There were ten of us and we were looked after extremely well even though the restaurant was packed. I will return on future visits to Romford.

Friendly service and good Turkish food. Good portion sizes. Good value for money. A decent local Turkish restaurant. Would definitely visit again.

Decided to order a takeaway as really fancied a nice bit of steak and because I've heard good reviews from some people I thought we would give it a go. Well all I can say is that it's still as bad as the first time we tried it when it first opened. Me and my partner both had fillet steak but it was very poor quality and had a strange taste. Wish I hadn't of wasted £56 on it. Will stick to either my local butcher and cook it myself or go Miller & Carter.Never again will I bother with this place. How people can rave about this place is beyond me

After writing a 5 star review for Veysos and have been there around 15 times i have to agree with the below review. We ordered 2 kebabs, hummus and feta cheese parcels which came to £40+ then it took an hour and a half to arrive and was stone cold. My boyfriend rang them and asked for a partial refund and they said they would ring back.. half hour later no call back. We called again and he said he would call back shortly on the phone to arrange refund but still nothing. Then we get a knock at the door two hours later with another load of the food we ordered earlier! As if we would want it two hours later at nearly 10pm. Nobody ever called back to sort out the monetry refund which was annoying so we wont be ordering delivery from them again. We also noticed it was severely understaffed last time we went before lockdown. Its a shame as they will start losing custom!

Thought we would treat ourselves to a takeaway as restaurant closed.Delivery was not free which is fair enough and was given an hour slot. Dinner arrived over 2hrs later.Shared a platter which came with no rice or shepherd's salad as stated but instead given a bag of chips ??Tried to call but no chance of getting through as obviously busy. Meats also well undercooked. If they cannot cope with demand then don't take the orders and provide poor service as prices aren't exactly cheap. So disappointed.Mr A Roberts.

We had a good meal here covid precautions could be better same old menues not disposable or wipe clean best you look into this !!

The first thing I will say is that the food was lovely! However, the service was shocking!! We waited 30 minutes to even be asked if we would like to order a drink. Another 30 minutes to order our food. A little wait for cold starters with bread. A second lot of fresher bread was delivered to our table and seconds later our mains arrived! We had to ask several times for a second drink. Once we’d finished our mains, our table wasn’t cleared for approximately 40/50 minutes!! This was unacceptable. We weren’t offered the dessert menu once the plates were cleared away. We ordered 3 coffees. One cappuccino and 2 lattes. Waited about 20 minutes. The cappuccino was served. We waited another 10 minutes for the lattes. The waiter spilt one so made another. No spoons were served with the lattes so I asked for a spoon. The waiter gave me 2 spoons from the palm of his hand, not wrapped in a napkin!! Needless to say we didn’t use them. We were in the restaurant for 4 hours in total for a lunch! Very very disappointing service.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years and decided to visit for our first restaurant night out. Was apprehensive about going into a closed environment. Must say was disappointed. Number one the manager that showed us to our table didn't have a mask on! Most of the waiting staff did but I had to ask our waitress to put hers on! Felt that all the ppe rules were very relaxed. Also our waitress was very close to us on several occasions. We LOVE this restaurant and the food is superb but not sure we will return if the rules are so relaxed! Shame.

I came across the restaurant on the Gov website as one of many restaurants of Eat out to Help Out Scheme and decided to reserve a table for my wife and my 5 year old daughter. We ordered 2 mains, 1 starter and 3 non-alcoholic drinks. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, but the bill experience was horrendous - my bill was £55 and no deduction (despite it being a Monday). The waitress was oblivious and had to speak to the manager as he was handling the bill. When the bill came again, it was now £35. I told the waitress it should be £27.50 and I was told I need to go to the bar and speak to the manager to resolve it. I was then told by the manager that the discount is only applied if you order a main. A main?! I showed the Gov guidance on my phone and it's as follows:Use the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme at a participating establishment:-to get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)-every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August-as many times as you likeI highlighted to the manager that it doesn't state a "main" on the Gov. website and it clearly states "per diner". However, I was told by the manager that the franchise states the discount is activated once a main has been ordered and if you order just starters, no discount is applied. I'm sorry, but this is pure BS! It's not so much about the £7.50 difference, it's more about the principle in place and they have just lost a customer. I'm not impressed at all! Beware guys!P.S. It's funny how you billed me £55 but 2 minutes later, you "know" all about the Eat Out to Help Out scheme when slapping me with the £35 bill. Tut Tut.

Ordered meal for a dinner party by telephone a couple of hours before.Arrived on time and was delicious, hot, generous portions and enjoyed by all.Very well presented, thoroughly recommended and will certainly be using again.....and again.Thank you Veyso's for making our Family occasion special.

Food was lovely, hot and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals including, lamb/chicken Shish, chicken casserole and burgers for the kids. All came with rice, dips, salad and warm, seasoned bread. Lovely lady delivered within 35minutes. Perfect.

Just had a lockdown take away from veyso it was excellent would highly recommend will definitely be returning before things go back to normal (and afterwards)

We had been recommended this restaurant as we were looking for another Turkish restaurant to try in east London and this one is perfect for us. So near to where we live. I tried to have a look online at the menu beforehand as I'm Gluten Free and like to be prepared but it kept saying that the sight wasn't secure so i couldn't actually get onto it however after looking at some reviews on TripAdvisor people were saying its great for GF people and they weren't wrong. We were welcomed into the restaurant and shown to our table. The restaurant itself is lovely. Really nicely decorated with a great atmosphere. We had booked as i wasn't sure how busy it was going to be but it would have been OK. maybe best to book just in case though, especially at the weekend. We were given the menus and there was a lot of choice which is great. The usual dishes were available and some starters that sounded great. We shared some hummus with mixed vegetables for me and my boyfriend had the bread. We also shared the hot starter prawns which were so tasty. The portion sizes were great, perfect for starters and both Gluten Free (apart from the bread obviously). My boyfriend couldn't decide between the mixed shish or the lamb chops but ended up going for the latter. I went for a chicken shish, made Gluten Free by removing the piece of bread that it all sits on. It comes with lovely rice and a salad. The red cabbage was great! The chicken tasted so good and was so moist. Overall we had such a lovely evening (date night). We will definitely be back to try more items from the menu such as the mixed shish and the chicken wings. Thank you to the waiting staff who were very helpful and friendly and the chef for the lovely food. We'll be back soon.

Veyso’s is a beautiful clean stylish Turkish Restaurant. An amazing place very friendly staff with a great chilled vibe and the food is amazing to.I go at least three times a month and I always enjoy my time there,I highly recommend to go.

Visited with some friends. Staff were so helpful and didn’t rush us ordering. Food was really nice and presented well. Had some nice cocktails. After reading some reviews I was nervous going to this restaurant, but had to write how nice we found it.

My wife attended on Saturday night with 7 friends & while she was ordering her food she explained her food intolerance to certain foods due to her Crohn's disease. She ordered steak & chips with no garnish or sauces, just the steak & chips ONLY on the plate. When her meal arrived the steak was on a bed of onions which is a major trigger food for her. She again explained her intolerance's only for the waiting staff to say that the chef would not be happy,her food eventually arrived correct, but no apology.Later when my wife ordered her dessert she was sarcastically asked if she would like onions with that, my wife is far more tolerant than me and luckly for the waiter she didn't tell me until she was home. In this day and age with all the food intolerance's around i find this behavior absolutely disgusting and we will never return the this restaurant again and i will also be telling everyone that i know to also avoid this place at all costs.

We have been coming here pretty much every week for the last couple of months now me being Turkish I am fussy about eating Turkish but I love it I haven’t had a bad meal here yet. And to top it all the service is brilliant the waiters can’t do enough for you very attentive will definitely be returning very soon. Food was lovely and very reasonable from lunchtime menus. But we came here Christmas and a really bad smell came up across our side of restaurant Bad Drains smell . So we skipped dessert and left. The same yesterday had just finished our mains and this disgusting smell passed by our table . Shame because we love the food here. They really need to sort this out . Won’t go back till it is

Booked the restaurant at 1pm for my son’s birthday. Initially asked to book at 7pm and was told they could only book for 6pm or 8pm. Booked for 8pm told them it was for my son’s 16th. Turned up at 1955hrs. The place is rammed packed with no tables, told the waiter I had booked waited around for 10 minutes and waiter came back and said he is trying to fix it. Waited another 10 minutes and again still no table, he then said he was sorry and trying to sort out our booking but there was no table. Do not bother booking, lots of chaos in the restaurant, lots of empty glasses on the bar. Disappointed and they just did not seem to care. No control as to how many people in restaurant and probably a health and safety issue.

Booked a table for 8pm for a birthday celebration still not fed at 9.45. Walked out hungry. The manager and chef tried to tell us it was our fault for not ordering earlier, chance would have been a fine thing. Took them an hour to serve us a drink.

Overcrowded, noisey, service was terrible. Booked it from 6-8 was served at 7:45 and told us that they needed the table at 8:15. People standing all around us talking loud, appalling. Been here several times before but never again. Didn’t even get to say/sing happy birthday!!! This needs to be sorted as this was never like this, this Is local but don’t think we will ever go back there again.

Not a good experiance. This is a big restaurant and was packed on a Saturday night just before christmas. It was so noisy I couldnt hear my friend sitting opposite me at the table. Waiter was very keen to take our drinks order but not so keen on taking our food order, I guess because the kitchen was under pressure. My starter of Baba Ganoush contained yoghurt unlike any recipe I have come across so I angrily complained. The yoghurt was shown on the menu though, I cant eat dairy products.. Our mains arrived 90 minutes after we did. There seem to be very few competent waiters so we had enormous trouble attracting the attention of one to get our bill. I gave up and left leaving my payment with my friends, couldnt stand the noise any more. The food when it finally arrived was ok except that my friend opposite didnt get her promised Cous Cous (no problem madam) but the usual rice. The whole experiance was exasperating, I wont be returning.

I went to Veyso for a meal tonight, the restaurant is lovely and modern the staff were quick and friendly and the food was absolutely lovely, here is the but and my reason for not giving 5 star rating.

We turned up out of the blue, without a reservation on a Saturday evening, and although they were busy we were warmly welcomed. We order the family meze meal, and enjoyed it very much, it came out in what seemed like super quick time, all the meats were flavoursome and the rice and salad accompanied them very well. The only slight issue is with the new entry system. Great to see they have added a secondary door to prevent cold air coming in, but customers leave this open, and the cold air still comes in. Perhaps you can fit a return spring to it, so it closes automatically.

3 times I’ve been to this restaurant now and is my and my family’s favourite place to eat. Service is superb and food is excellent.

Me my Mum and sister were so looking forward to eating here as the food would be freshly cooked to order.

I went with some friends a short time ago and I was some what dissapointed both with the service and food, We have been there before and the food and service was much better. Seems to have gone down hill a bit

We went there with friend of mine for company meal, from start to end was great, its was amazing experience for us. We had a chance to try draught beer on tab called Cobra it was very smooth and easy to drink with food. We have really had a good time. We will definitely back.

10 of us for a moving away party. Food was awesome, the staff very friendly & accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Loved the fact that the Efes Draft Beer comes in a bottle that says "Draft" on it. I had tabbouleh for a starter, (can't find it in the online menu), which was prepared differently than the way I have had elsewhere, but very good nonetheless. More coarsely chopped parsley, and the dressing was different, but unsure how to describe. The flat beard is also delicious, but don't fill up on it, as there is so much more tasty stuff to come. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their dinner. Unfortunately, no Drambuie at the bar. Also fun to check out the chefs behind the glass window cooking on the real charcoal grill.

We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant. Looked clean and loved the menu. Our first experience was a long wait followed by bad service. Food ok but maybe because it had recently opened just needed to get their act together.

Went here today with family they have been here a few times, I can honestly say this place is the best Turkish restaurant I've been to, I live in Kent but will definitely travel for a meal . The food was very tasty completely fresh produce, the team were very welcoming and attentive

A great Turkish restaurant which serves tasty food every time. I visit Veysos regularly and no matter what I order the food is always amazing! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. It’s also very good value for money especially when compared to the more popular Turkish restaurants in the area. Definitely recommend.

What a lovely restuarant. Eaten here a few times but then heard from locals it went down hill,but decided to try again as we have a dinner party here soon.

I have been Veyso's a number of times now and reviewed it before. However I was really shocked by the service at my last visit. We had booked a table and it wasn't ready (not enough spaces). We was left standing by a small table for ages whilst waiters ignored the fact that we didn't have enough seating. We had to sort the table situation out ourselves in the end as it took far too long for anybody else to do it.

Had a lovely meal here first time visit. Bit more expensive than normal Turkish but the food was amazing. The staff are friendly

Having lived in Collier Row for 3 years we had never gotten round to trying this restaurant, now I wish we had tried it sooner, the food was delicious, really fresh and tasty. The service was very good. I would recommend and I would definitely be returning. Thankyou.

Turkish restaurant in Collier Row. The restaurant has recently been extended with new deco. The food was average. The services were good. Staff were friendly and attentive enough. Portion of food were above average size. The price was reasonable for the quality and size.

This was our first visit since all the changes and happy to say it is still very good. Great food, freindly service and very reasonable prices. We had a lovely family night here. Thank you to all involved.

Enjoyed a family Sunday lunch. The food was extremely nice. We had the mixed cold and hot starters. However there were dishes that were less popular to the group so I would recommend chosing the starters to share. I had the salmon main course which was most enjoyable. Everybody in the party was complimentary of each dish - including the four desserts that were consummed.

Went there Bank Holiday Monday. Eight adults and three children. Amazing food, friendly and hard working staff at a very good price. Service was great and very accommodating. Great all round.

We visited Veyso’s Romford Saturday 23rd March 2019 we had a large family group of 22, our waiter was Volkan he was very friendly, polite, funny and very patient considering the group size. Volkan was attentive along with the other friendly staff. Food was amazing. Thank you for making our 7 birthdays enjoyable. Would highly recommend Veyso’s we look forward to our next visit. 10/10

After having many good nights here I am afraid to say We will not be not be going back!! As soon as we walked in, the doorway was packed with people moaning about waiting for their tables that had been booked. Our booking was for 8pm and after countless times of asking how long our main was going to be it finally turned up at 10.40pm!!!!!! Once it did arrive our rice was cold, chips was cold and the chicken was undercooked. My 2 children ordered burger and chips, the chips came up in 2 bowls and the burgers never arrived!!!!! In the 3 hours we were there we were never offered any more drinks while we were waiting. I had asked to speak to the manager who simply replied “what do you want me to do!” He was rude, unhelpful and has put me off ever going back. It’s such a shame as this was a lovely friendly place that we used to enjoy for many celebrations. Food was always a high standard and service was always good and staff very friendly. New management has taken over and has decided to cram too many tables in and obviously the kitchen cannot Cope. Such a shame but we will never be going back.

We had a great evening at Veysos. They accommodated 22 of us celebrating 7 family members birthdays at once! The food was delicious, atmosphere was fun and our waiter Vulcan was brilliant. Parking was tricky outside, but plenty of space in Tescos car park opposite.

Forget Sheesh, Veyso is brilliant. Food comes up in large portions and fantastic flavour, great value, great atmosphere. Great staff who were happy to accommodate

It was our first to visit king Veyso’s. And my friends and I will defiantly be returning.

Visited last Saturday following the ‘refurb’ which was really an opportunity to squeeze more tables and chairs in and upgrade the music to the continuous beat of house music.

Went on a Saturday night and were sat next to the only till that the staff use by the bar; I wouldn’t recommend as you’re surrounded by the staff conversations, staff bumping into your chairs and the noise of the bar

Tables on top of each other has spoilt what was a nice restaurant. There is now no privacy when eating there. A big shame as was a nice place and nice food. But won't be going back for that experience again.

Lovely food. Not too expensive waiters very helpful In explaining different dishes for us. Our big party was well catered for. Loved it.

Visit Kervan Sofrasi and you would realise that what Veysos is offering isn’t value for money. Nice food but nothing better or even matching their competitors mentioned above to warrant their unreasonable prices. Would expect much better for their price tags but unfortunately nothing so special. Surely won’t revisit

Lovely welcoming meal with friends. Staff were as always very helpful. Can’t wait to go back. Our waiter Ersin, was a great help recommending meals and dishes. Great night all round

In all honesty the food was not bad, although not that hot. This restaurant spoil themselves with silly ideas of customer service. Firstly, when asking if it was possible to change rice for potatoes, I was told "sorry madam, that's how it comes". When our friend ,who ordered their salmon asked for some tartare sauce, we realised that when getting the bill, they had charged £1.50 For it. Once again, when asking that manager if this was correct, he replied sorry, but yes we charge for tartare sauce. Was expensive for Turkish, and sorry, plenty of other Turkish about cheaper and better.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and outstanding service! I can’t recommend this place enough. We were local and I looked on TA to see what’s about for dinner and I’m so glad we came here. The bread is amazing and the grilled meats are sooo good! We even had pudding which was very reasonably priced. Thank you for a fantastic evening! Can’t wait to come again

My daughters paid for this night out as a birthday treat and chose this restaurant in Collier Row. The restaurant is very well set out and stylish. 4 of us shared the platter for 4 and the 2 others had a chicken salad and a Yogurtly chicken. All the food was very good and served by very friendly staff. Can’t fault the night out and will certainly return. Great daughters but they didn’t tell me this was my present.

Visited Veyso's with friends for the first time. Impressed with the service and equally the food was lovely. Had the sea bass which tasted delicious. My partner had the chicken shish. Will definitely come back. Great evening with Friends.

Came here for dinner last night, Saturday. Restaurant was very busy, firstly we were sat at a table near the door, so was very cold, so we asked to move and the waiter obliged and moved us to a better table. The service wasn't good we had to call over the waiter several times to take our order and they didn't see me trying to attract their attention, so was not impressed. Eventually a waiter came over to take our order and once this happened the food came quickly. I have to say that all the food was delicious, we had a mixed cold starter, which is for 2 people and we added a portion of falafel (which was amazing and delicious) and a tabbouleh salad and this came with lots of bread. All the mains looked amazing, I chose charcoal grilled salmon with rice and salad, which was delicious. So although the service was bad, the food really made up for it, would go back again but probably not on a Saturday night. Cost including tip 58.00 per couple without wine.

We had book this restaurant after recommendation from a friend. What an amazing food! Great customer service too! We will definitely return!

Sunday lunch with family. Delightful, friendly staff. Tasty, plentiful food. A little pricey......but we did have a lot to eat!!! We shall return!

This was our third visit and yet again another great night.

We had hot flat breads and a selection of different dips to begin our meal which were all lovely. Staff were so lovely and good at their job. The food tasted delicious and was presented beautifully. One of our meals was forgotten so they offered a free drink and got the food to us very quickly. They brought a cake out for a birthday and played this really good song which was so much fun. Would love to go again.

If you like excellent service excellent food this is the place.if you tried elsewhere or thinking’ off trying somewhere different don’t bother.

Having been here several times I invited a group of 16 who all expressed a good impression of their experience. As ever the staff were friendly and welcoming. One of the waiters in particular interacting humorously with one of our more outgoing members.

Came here for the first time tonight, with our 3 children and our friends and the food was amazing. We ordered the family platter for the 4 adults, and the kids ordered from the kids menu. Portion sizes were generous and the meats were delicious.

Fantastic food lovely staff lot of food very nice and delicious loving people lovely location have been there several times since it has opened always gave extra chips for the kids you don't see a lot of restaurants with this hospitality will definitely go again and the lamb ribs fantastic

Visited this restaurant back in March this year, for my daughters birthday. It really was top quality food and the staff and service were very good. I would definitelt visit again.

SUNDAY LUNCH ? - NO. What a great looking place ! Appears immaculately clean - white cloths, gleaming glasses, sparkling cutlery. Charmingly greeted by two well dressed staff but no lunch service on Sundays. :-( {Ignore times on website} Take away service OK but we wanted to sit down. Unusual for Turkish places as all the others we go to are open 7 days and about 12 hours. We may try again

If you like Quality services fine food this is the place . The staff are excellent. There chefs can cook . Michelin stars for them .

We’ve been going to Veysos ever since it opened and it’s always excellent. They accommodate large groups, families, couples and everything in between.

Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday evening meal at Veysos this was our first visit and will definitely come back again.

on arrival to the restaurant and being shown to our table we were given some menus to look through all the wonderful dishes on offer. We ordered some drinks shortly after and then were offered some bread and dips by the waitress.They were really tasty and the bread was lovely and fluffy.

Went here for my friends boys 18 birthday party staff were friendly but didn’t really know what was going on not meaning to be personal but one of the waiters had very bad body odour which was extremely offputting when you are planning on eating food was ok but nothing special for the price they charge I’ve seen a lot of good reviews about the place so maybe this was just a one off but it wasn’t for me

Went in for late lunch thinking of having the 2 course offer for £9.90. Seated very quickly as only 2 other couples eating. Given the menu, requested main course and pudding but told to have this would need to have 3 course meal. Doesn't say that on the board outside or anywhere on the menu. Decided on starter which was lovely, main course arrived, a little disappointed. Also the staff were hovering around so felt like we were being watched. With 2 drinks don't feel it's good value and wished we'd gone elsewhere for our 30th anniversary meal

Nice meal. Only 1 bottle of organic wine then tried to say the next bottle was organic when it wasn’t. Usual staff wasn’t there. So not as good service as normal. Didn’t enjoy that much

First time here (family birthday meal) and not disappointed. The menu is really good - and staff help you navigate it with great suggestions. Most of us had the meze, and my wife went for the Sea Bass. None of us disappointe. You wont go hungry, and the quality / taste of the food was very good.

We visited as friends going out for a bite to eat on a weekday evening. I had heard good things so was looking forward to the meal.

I have been to Veyso’s while visiting a client in Romford. The staff were especially friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The food was fabulous and fairly priced. I will go back when I am in the area next.

Went last night for a birthday meal food fantastic as always. This restaurant is simply the best the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We booked at veyso's for staff party first time and not just one of us all of us was very happy and impress with the service and the food. Thanks to the management and chefs.. We will definitely see you soon guys.

Came here for lunch with my family, the food is cooked to perfection and the desert are just magnificent, the salad is fresh and crunchy and it’s all topped up by friendly but professional staff. Decor is stylish and warm and the whole things works well. Perfect for party’s and family
