Went in lunch time We were the only people there but food was nice Would go again

Terrible restaurant. They sent me the wrong order because they couldn’t be bothered to make me a chicken Beyti. I got no money back from JustEat. I had to use so much seasoning on the kebabs because it did not taste good at all.

Poor quality. Meet had a lot of fat on it. Very little rice for a platter order. The hot maze wasn't great. Calamari was tough, 4 thin slices of sausage and 3 filo pastry snacks, 4 small pieces of rubbery hallumi on a bed of grated carrot and lettuce! I don't think that food was freshly cooked as chicken and lamb was chewy. I'm not impressed with my order.

Despite ordering 2 hours ahead, the order arrived nearly 30 minutes late. Food was good.

Garlic mushrooms was just all sauce, barely any mushrooms. Veggie casserole supposed to come with halloumi and rice but didn’t. Everything was cold on arrival. Last time I order from here.

Previous orders have been really good. Today's was epic fail , order was cold ( shame you can't phone this place) , the bread was chewy, filo soggy, the dish was not the same quality as before had hardly any sauce and they were obviously rationing the yoghurt. £33 . The order had been ready for about 15 minutes before anyone collecting it

Sadly several food containers were squashed and leaking into the bag.

Definitely will not be using again. The app said the order was ready for collection at 18.35, not ready and I was told to wait or come back in 15mins. The reason given: they were busy and people came into the restaurant all at once. Still not ready on my return and had wait again. Bread and rice were nice. 60% of meat was good, the lamb chops were more fat than meat. The salad was tiny -not even a filled container- and dull consisting of iceberg, tomato and a smattering of red cabbage.

VISIT DATE: WED 28/08/2024 VISIT TIME: 17:35 Despite living in Elm Park since 2002, I'd never eaten at Istanbul Grill, either as a takeaway or in person before this visit and, having now enjoyed their food, I will not be leaving it so long before I go back. On arrival, my friend and I were given a warm welcome and were well attended by the lady serving, though not made to feel rushed in any way. We were given bread which had a coating of paprika and something else, which was absolutely delicious (I could have eaten baskets and baskets of it) and I then had lamb beyti for my main, which was nicely presented and accompanied with rice, bulgar wheat, salad and sour cream sauce. It was tasty and the portions were sufficient. My friend was also very happy with their meal and enjoyed a pineapple and lemonade to drink, whilst I just had tap water. The food was very filling, so we didn't have anything for dessert, but they do have options available. As it was a warm day, we ate outside.

The chicken was clearly cooked yesterday if not before and reheated and had to be thrown away. Not the quality I would expect as a returning customer and will not order again. Restaurant phone will also not connect to speak with them directly

Ordered vegetable kebab and by the time it arrived it was split all over the bag ans other items. The container used is not fit for purpose, please but it a spill proof container instead

I had my order delivered it was absolutely disgusting freezing cold and the rice was like porridge always ordered from these but never again

Chilli sauce good, garlic sauce excellent. Very good very nice rice, meat very juice, bread very spice but is nice. Very good, very nice drinks.

Loved the place, the food was very delicious and staff are so friendly and welcoming. This was my first time there, but I am sure it won't be the last.

Had lunch time menu today used to be regulars in here now it was poor quality food was still frozen inside and the chicken was barely warm we left the majority of the food on the table. Felt more embarrassed for them than anything as was two ladies there. Should have refused to pay as the food wasn’t even eaten.

We ordered takeaway for collection and it is probably one of the best Turkish places I have ever had food from! The bulgar wheat is amazing! I highly recommend. I had chicken shish, it was very tender & well cooked. Complimentary bread was also amazing paired with the sauces they give. Excellent place.

Rice was too salty And the kebab too

Early saturday evening .we came here .food as always very good .not rushed .tried the greek salad .black olives were not good .should have put nice green olives in salad.friend had the lamb ribs she realy enjoyed them.chicken and lamb kebabs we had .

Absolutely quality food. I love the mixed grill aka mixed kebab. It's a very high standard and nice and clean. Staff will look after you and the atmosphere is very chilled out with very nice Turkish music being played. Such a great place to take the other half or the family.

Price has increased by just under 50% since Christmas, although website still shows old prices. Ordered takeaway by browsing website and price shown as £34.95. Attended to collect and pay and told its £49.95. I appreciate costs have increased (although this seems steep) but the fact they haven’t bothered updating their own website is very bad practice for a business. I won’t be using this place again which is a shame as the food is generally good.

We had the lamb and chicken kebab .salad and rice .cicken kebab and salad.also bread and dips .coke and coffee. We went lunch time .service was good .not rushed at all..chicken and lamb cooked good.prices are good.we will be back.

Took my family for a meal we all had a meal and the following day we was all suffering from food poisoning, didnt even bother calling them as im not here for a freebee, just a word of warning...

Lamb shish was nice, meze was good but the tuna steak was probably the driest I’d ever had.

A lovely little business in Elm Park! Came here for a family meal and it was really lovely. The guy who served us was kind and the food was really good. We ordered a mixed cold starter, calamari, mixed kebab, lamb ribs and baklava. The complimentary bread is arguably the best thing I’ve ever eaten! We will definitely return. My only criticism is that the ribs needed slightly more seasoning and the restaurant should play some more authentic music 😊

Always good quality, tasty food

Depending on who serves you the service does vary quite considerably. There is an extensive menu on offer however the quality of the food has dramatically changed over the years and is not what it used to be. The last time I was here my food was tastless. Would I go back probably not when you have other Turkish restaurants not far offering much better quality and tastier meals.

Me and my family came here for my birthday meal and I couldn’t be happier. We were all so happy with the food and drinks. The service was exceptional! The chef even come out and wished me a happy birthday. It was amazing I can’t fault a thing ! The stuff played with the kids and didn’t make me feel awkward when they run off to play. I will definitely be back with the whole family. Might even be our regular spot from now on with the reasonable prices aswell !

Love this place. The mains are really big and tasty. All of the staff have always been so lovely too. Very comfortable stylish chairs too.

I have visited this place multiple times. The food is outstanding there. Everything about the restaurant is first class.

Booked a table for 10 people for a family birthday meal. Have been here plenty of times before and always had a great time. Food was great, however, only 1 member of staff serving tables on a Saturday night meant we waited an hour and a half for starters and children's meals. Some members of the party had to cancel their mains due to having to get young children home. By the time our mains arrived we had been there 2 hours. We complained to the server about the delays and to ask for some money off our bill and she told us they had not had this issue before and there was no management on site to speak to us. She then said she would speak to the kitchen staff and come back... however she then came back to serve other tables and ignored us. The manager then appeared and gave us our bill with no discount. When we queried it he accused us of making his staff cry, despite us not blaming her or being rude to her. We will definitely not be going back any time soon, which is a huge shame as the food has always been great and is walking distance from home for us!

Looks like change of management or some sort of change taken place. Food is very disappointing, no room for comparison with what it used to be. Awful hot meze starter and cooked main tasted like everything is prepared separately with no seasoning and just chucked together on a plate. However stuff we're bery friendly and attentive.

We had off lunch menu and main menu. Both realy good keltico off main and rice and salad very nice. Chicken shish salad lots of flavours. Starters were good.service good.we ate at 4pm friday afternoon. Will come back and try diffrent items on main menu.

Dined at 7pm. Vegetarian food very average and drinks highly overpriced. Staff made us feel a little uncomfortable kept clearing before we'd finished. Won't be using this restaurant again

Arrived early for the booking but not a problem and was seated immediately Menu browsed and drinks orders taken A basket of warm pitta type bread and two dips placed on the table Very nice I went of the mixed grill with rice and salad that was delicious and my friend had the lasagna that was tasty apparently but looked a little over cooked Although it didn’t spoil the enjoyment Two mains and four drinks £60 maybe a little top heavy but I would definitely eat there again

I’ve used this restaurant many times and every time the food is amazing wether it’s a lamb or chicken casserole or any other dish it’s definitely my favourite place to order from.

Unfortunately the swordfish was severely overcooked and disgusting, everyone else said there food was ok.

Food wasn't great and the food got to me late by an hour

The food was nice, however the portion size was very small. Paid £69.95 for the family meal and there was barely enough for 2 people let alone a family of four! Lots of rice but no way enough meat.

There were kids meals on this order that I made around 7/7:30 and the order arrived just before 10! Obviously the children had to eat elsewhere and when calling the restaurant, they were too busy to answer. Perhaps they should have removed online orders if they could not deliver within reasonable times. Anyway, the kids meals were wasted and I think that this order should be completely refunded.

Lovely little authentic restaurant. Great atmosphere and nicely decorated inside. Lady serving us was great - nothing was too much trouble and she was eager to make our evening as enjoyable as she could. Food was lovely, warm bread to start was amazing.

Great service,I wron ly ordered and did not get what I was expecting. Rang restaurant and they told me what I should have ordered. They then sent it out free of charge. Have used them since they opened always great. Happy customer.

Takeaway delivered on time, food hot and delicious

The lamb in the shish didn't taste like lamb. The wrap was oozing a watery liquid - you could wring it out and continue eating, but my brother was grossed out. The salads were good, the pita was good and the chicken was ok. Considering the rest, l would not order again. Not sufficient value for the money

The food was delicious, went above and beyond as had a gluten free person in the order and they received their own bread, a really nice surprise. Outstanding as always

Not worth it for the price; there’s a ton of rice and not much meat, and the lamb that I did have was overcooked. Bearing in mind the price I’d expect more value for money. Unlikely to order again based on my last experience.
